Smiles all round, traded a cat sticker for an unopened wet wipe. What a day to be alive
Found but near the hint. Not on it. Looks like we're the first in several months. Just cycling around while camping nearby. TFTC
Out for a bike ride from the campground. Another on a gorgeous day in the region.
After visiting alanwito's ancestral home next door, we found this cache. This is apparently my 5000th cache so it deserves a favourite point from me! TFTC.
And this one will get a favourite point from me too.
This piece of land used to be an apple orchard owned by my grandfather then my uncle. Unfortunately, by the end of twentieth century, it was no longer profitable so they sold the land off for housing before I ever got a chance to visit.
After visiting by cousin who still lives just across the road we came to find this cache which just happened to be kathwood2003’s 5000th. Tftc!

The way in seemed to be private, but I was already going down, so I stopped for the cache find before I turned around. TFTC.
Had a pleasant post-lockdown day caching around the Tasman-Ruby Bay area.
Nice short walk, followed by a bit of a hunt. My GPS was a little bit off, and the hint object had moved, so I was a little confused for a while.
Eventually found the cache and replaced the hint object .

This is nice area. The GPS was having second thoughts about the location for a while. After reading the hint it was found, even though of the cache's immediate surroundings had changed a bit due to recent weather.
Having a Family holiday, staying at Kina Lodge. Found by Shelley while out walking. Good cache
Found with NZDi. It is Easter and NZDi decided she wanted to go to the Mapua Easter Fair seeing she missed out last year due to Covid-19 Level 4 Lockdown. Also we purchased a caravan late last year and as Easter is traditionally the last outing of the season before caravans are closed up for winter, we didn't want to waste this opportunity even though we have another trip planned next month.
So the plan is to set up at Motueka Top 10 Holiday Park for three days going to the Fair on Sunday, then on Monday look at the weather and decide whether to spend another three days in Golden Bay or head down the Wet Coast. In the meantime there is some caching to do.
Today is Day 3 of our expedition over the hill. On Friday we managed to get what the purists would say was 17 caches, but two of them were Lab Caches so GCHQ says the tally is 25, and who are we to argue with that. Yesterday the purists tally was 20, but one of those was a Lab Cache so GCHQ says 24. This morning we went to the Mapua Easter Fair and I must say the organisers should be pretty happy, as I reckon there were more people there than at any of the previous fairs we've been to. The fair is over for us, so we are grabbing a few caches on the way back to camp. We had heard of the Kina Peninsula, and saw there were a few caches out this way, so thought we would check them out.
This was our second of the day and it took a bit longer than it should have, but I took heed of the CO's instructions not to go WWIII on GZ which many must be tempted to do. It didn't help that the locals had used GZ as a dumping ground for their green waste, but eventually the cache was found as per the hint.

After a beautiful afternoon swimming we popped across for this cache. A lucky find by Emma.
Lots of Tuis and Fantails around us, this was lovely. The hint wasn't really helpful but we found it.
The cache is in a good condition.

Its Queens Birthday Weekend so we are off caching for the long weekend. Todays route took us from Motueka through the Rai Valley to Blenheim. I Kina like the name. A nice walk to a quick easy find. Thanks for placing this cache here for everyone else's enjoyment.
Great coordinates made this as instant find in the first place TregearP and I looked.
All in good order, signed log and replaced as found. Thanks for the cache.

No stones visible now, Maybe due to big storm last week. However located it on biggest stump. Tftc
The hint doesn’t make any sense at all, but thanks for the cache nonetheless. Greetings from NYC.
After dinner while staying at Helmeholiday( a great spot- nice tidy facilities) thought I’d see if any caches around. This was 140 or so meters away and a quick find. Many thanks.
After a great walk along the Kina beach to visit the cliffs, and claim an earth-cache of course, we headed here for a mini walk and grab 2 beltfamily caches. Success at both of these caches and another nice area visited. T F T C beltfamily
Another weekend day with a Geocaching theme planned; a trip (back) over the hill (again) and head out to Mapua Bay to get the Earthcache out there as well as 'one or two' other options. We left Blenheim at around 730 and returned just after 7 so a good day out was had by all, with the Tasman weather at its best yet again. Caching crew was me, ricardinho.nz and Jojo74 and between us we navigated, found and travelled the roads, and beaches, of Ruby Bay grabbing caches as we went. Logs were signed in various combinations of Ri/Jo/Ca. We also came across a few other cachers; Wellwishers near Marriages Road, 'Snook' (I think) in Mapua athletic park, and a pre-arranged meet up with the good guy that is mr gdguys at Hoddy Estuary park.
A few more for the totals and some more yellow smiley conversion completed over that region of NZ, catching up with Wanganui/Manawatu again.

Quick find down this walkway, good to see these caches still in good nick. TFTC Beltfamily.
Sunday was the second day over the hill for us this weekend. Today's target area was around Mapua, and the crew today was Jo, Capperz and Ricardinho, with most logs being signed RiCaJo, or something similar. Nelson turned on the weather, and some good caches were found and we bumped into a few cachers on our travels as well. TF all the caches to the COs.

Took a bit of searching as the hint didn't really match where we found the cache. Anyway, signed and replaced as found. Thanks for the cache.
My first time along this walkway - it's good to have a nose in the neighbours' gardens and quite impressive gardens they are too!
No problems finding the GZ or the cache.
Thanks

My last find in Nelson before we head off to Christchurch. This one was closest to our bed and breakfast, so I made the find to mark the map! Thanks for this one.
Initially we looked in the wrong spot because we misread the hint. Easy once we worked it out.
