F(H)ound it! 12:05

I'm visiting Adelaide for a few days from Queanbeyan NSW with the Ridgeo-pup.

My friend is involved with regenerating the bush along the creek here, you will see some weeds have been removed up the far end of this trail by his hard work. He was interested in checking on how that was going and doing a recky of the rest of the creek. And...huge bonus!...there was this lovely caching trail for us to do at the same time. What a pretty spot, I really enjoyed the effort that you have put into the containers. We saw a lot of wildlife, it seems that every tree had several hollows which were either inhabited by birds or bees (it IS Spring, I guess Smile).
This was our first find for the day and it was big enough for me to drop the Little Warrior River (AL) Travel Bug - good luck, little buddy. TFTC and the trail ~*KittyKat*~

Nice park. Cache was found quite easily. No muggles to be seen

~*KittyKat*~ is in the process of allowing me to adopt the caches in this trail.
Once this is done, I will do a maintenance run and fix them all up.

16-Jun-15
On a not too rainy Tuesday afternoon, Mattycat took Purrfect Di and Chloe the geodog-in-training out for a walk...
After climbing a mountain of rocks, jumping a fence twice, getting stuck in the bushes too - yes, we found the fish!
Surprisingly easier than expected, a nice big one too Cool

With a disappointing start to a new trail we had set our eyes on, we wondered down for the second part of the series. This time of the afternoon was muggle and muttsville :cP so bided our time and admired the massive Eucalyptus nearby. We made a quick retrieval when there was a break in foot traffic :c) TFTC!! Hopefully the starting cache of this trail is back online soon.

14-Feb-15
Owl was looking for a quick find on a hot day, but when she was muggled out at that one she decided a short walk wouldn't be too taxing. Lots of choices for hides, but she eventually contemplated the scenery enough to work out where it was. As usual she was able to reel in her catch with a smile.

13-Feb-15
Looked for somewhere to go on a shortish walk with the geomutt and spotted these caches along here. This was the first one found. We had actually walked slightly past GZ and were looking a few meters past it without any luck. Finally looked at the GPSr again and headed back a bit further and then spotted it straight away as it was mostly uncovered and out in the open, a bit hard to miss. Covered it up a bit better and headed off to the next one.

Gosh !! When I was a little tacker going to Para Hills Primary skool, these areas of suburbia didn't exist [:o]
It was all out in the country !!

Not today though !!
On me bike ride I was wobbling around areas I couldn't have dreamt would be under concrete and bricks all those years ago !!
And still suburbia marches on swallowing more of the hills !! Sad

Slate creek is an interesting bit of wilderness between the houses Smile
And following the trail on me bike I was soon close to the cache Big Grin
A short rummage around and I soon found the well hidden prize Smile

The gudgeon still resides beneath the lid [^]

TFTC !!

Geopup and I decided we needed some exercise today and so a few caches on this trail were selected. We were more than happy to have a rest, a drink of water and then spot the cache. The size of this one surprised me, and it was a great start to our discoveries along the trail today. Thanks:)

26-Oct-14
Found at 1225hrs by Ranger2 but she couldn't get the lid off as it as was cross threaded by the previous finder. Ranger1 managed to loosen it so the log could be signed. Nice area but the cache was visible from a distance as it was sticking up. Signed the log & replaced so it was less visible. TNLNSL thanks Kittykat for the cache.

29-Aug-14

Dropped past this morning.
Cache is holding up quite well Smile
It's a shame the loot is almost empty as I had out a heap of great stuff in here when I placed it, to make it kid-friendly Sad
Will top up next time I go by.

The playground is great in the mornings with plenty of bird life around!

Run count = 3 of 25
12:46:00 PM

Andrew, Andrew and little Andrew with Mrs Parrot went out caching today.
Andrew & Andrew continued their injury streak with the other Andrew walking head first into a tree whilst reading a cache discription.

We had a good day and covered a few kilometres driving and walking.

It was a good selection of caches because many were down trails.

Loved inside the container of this one

24-Nov-13
Tracker the Labrador Travel Tag

Looks like this trackable is gone Sad did you know that the CO can mark this as MIA which stops it showing up on other cacher's searches? It takes less than a minute to do Wink

On my approach to this cache, my GPSr wanted me to jump the fence and go look in the front yard of the house across the road. Thinking that it was having a brain fart, I ignored the arrow and just worked off the numbers counting down. As soon as I was within 3 m, the arrow snapped around and pointed to the cache!
Now that's a log book. Thanks for the cache

A fantastic day of caching on foot through Cobbler Creek and surroundings with 12 finds and no downheartening DNF's. The day started out a bit chaotic as we forgot our pen but we were saved by a local hero going by the name of "Ryan" after he gave us his pen and ended with sore feet and happy smiles Smile Awesome little series Smile well done to -*KittyKat*- for the effort put into this and of course the fun Smile

Not much water in the creek today, but thought I’d try my luck fishing anyway! Sat lock was a little iffy at first but eventually settled on one area and what do you know – a fish was found. Great size cache for an urban area. TNLN SL Thanks for the cache and for bringing us to a nice park.

05-Apr-13
Unfortunately there was muggles galore when we arrived at GZ.
Although we had the perfect decoy in little smirch and smirch-dog we still had to wait for the perfect moment to grab this cache.
Luckily it didn't take too long for the muggles to move along so cache was successfully in hand having been found by smirchette !
TNLNSL TFTC kitty kat.

FTF with Don't Panic Arthur and gadanga at 1726 CoolWinkWink
Heard the beep of a new E-mail then heard gadanga say to Don't Panic Arthur "Get in the car" so knew we were off to a possible FTF. Was nearby and arrived to a desserted GZ for a quick find.
Heard voices while signing log and only just managed to replace cache while gadanga and Don't Panic Arthur delayed Uncle Hagrid Smile

After a crazy day at work, I had been looking forward to a night of caching and this became even better when it turned out that a group caching trip was about to eventuate Big Grin
I had picked up Dennisc52 and he said 'there's a new cache just near here, shall we go get it?'
So, naturally, we did go get it however as we approached GZ, there emerged a man from the bushes Surprised and he then attempted to convince us that the cache was about 30m away in the opposite direction Wink
We had a great chat with Squizzie Smile, managed to locus cache despite his trying to confuse us Wink and then went our separate ways.
Nicely themed cache, I liked how the page, description and cache all tied in together Smile [^]

Got an invite from locus cache early in the day to join her, and a small group (brisal5, mogni, muff1, CPwanderer and Aussie M & M), to cache hunt some mysteries around town. At least that was the intention. We met at Bridgewater, and finished up at Richmond at 2:00 in the morning, although I see by her logs that locus cache soldiered on till about four! Keen or what?
But before we got there, we did a detour to pick up a new cache near home, but by the time we got there, it had been found by a few people already, and one of them was still there. Nice to see you again Squizzie. TN, left a Casino key ring. TFTC KittyKat..
