Sorry to see this go. Was really sad to see the mainzeal wall surrounding it. I'm glad I got to find it before it was disabled. The most cunningly hidden cache. Hopefully there will be somewhere you can stash it soon.
We were passing through so thought i would do this one, Sadly a wall in the way but a nice walk early in the morning.
The gap filler project has now been removed to make way for a more permanent structure. While it is definitely nice to see new buildings going up, it is sad to see these creative gap filler projects go. They really were a showcase of creativity and the resilient spirit in the city post the earthquakes.
Cheers to everyone who found this cache and for all of the favorite votes!

Hi, I was hereish today and I think your site may be becoming a building?
Omg you cunning person. Would never have found this without help from MacpacMum. Tftc
No. Didn't find it. We searched both in the middel of the Day and in the evening.
No luck in finding this cache before leaving Christchurch.

Too many muggles around to allow for a thorough search. Shame.

Me, Tarkal and our daugther was walking back to our hotel after a wisit in the centre of Christchurch. On the way back I found that this cache was in our path, so lets have a look. I thought that the GZ could be off so I searched a little in other possible hideouts, but no luck. Then I heared a voice "I think it is ...", it was LittleG Magic that also were out looking for the cache, so we had a nice little conversation during our continued search. Soon LittleG found a suspicious thing (close to the GZ according to my GPS) and I had a suitable tool in my pocket to use. Cooperation between New Zeeland and Sweden . First geocachers we met in New Zeeland.
Thanks for the cache and meeting.

Credit goes to Little G with his persistance on this one - and a passing cacher from Stockholm for the tool - LGM
Spotted the tool quickly but didn't quite realise how it was intended to be used initially, but soon found what I was looking for, and used the tool correctly. Clever hide. TFTC

Had a lot more success today than the half hearted effort we had after dark with no torches a couple of weeks ago. MacPacDad had been very close then but not realised it. Today spotted the "tool" so investigated a but more and eureka! The cap had been broken off with the thread inside it but it still fits snugly in it's hiding space. Very clever placement that gets a favourite from us - especially as it uses another gap filler around the city.
Nice hide in a very public place but no muggle at GZ this morning, sadly the top of the container had broken but the log was nice and dry. TFTH
Making our way to the nearby meet. Took a few minutes to spot but fortunatley there were no muggles about. Nice location.

Spotted the tool etc quite quickly- but missed their significance for a while. Then checked them out again and found it. Very clever. TFTC
Gosh, sometimes I just don't know what the heck gets into me. We were crazy to go by Westfield twice in one weekend day when people are already shopping for Christmas, and crazy to attempt this cache on such a day. But we did it. I sometimes think that it might be better to do public caches in busy times because the more people there are, the less they pay attention to everyone else. Thanks for a cool cache!
Good way to round off our 'shopping spree' at Westfield. Many Muggles around who (fortunately) were all happy to ignore two wandering sightseers. We understood previous logs very quickly and luckily something appropriate was quickly in hand. TFTC.
Stopped by this one early in the morning with my two cachelets on the way to the airport to pickup Mrs. TheWanglers. The girls loved the 'play ground' but weren't in the mood to hunt too much this morning. We only spent a few minutes trying to find the nano. I was on the wrong tack with this one. Oh well, we'll be back. During the day I texted a friend for a hint. Dang, that's the first spot that looked good and I dismissed it due to my 'nano' tack. We came back to the area to visit a family favourite for dinner and parked next to GZ. After dinner my five year old found it within seconds. Don't you love that. She was chuffed and I was proud as punch. Log signed and replaced without too much notice from anyone. Thanks L4TB for another hide.

The tool was the clue I needed in the end. Began looking for that and aha. Clever little hide and not really in the face of "shortcutting muggles." Thanks
Right on lunch time a couple of people eating lunch but didnt seen too interested in a couple of oldies looking around. Nearly gave up , found the cache but had a bit of trouble looking for a tool. Found one some distance away which worked very well. A clever hide. TFTC
Came out during the evening to find a couple caches. With xmas in the park in full swing thought gz would be quietish...ended up with gz to myself but nearby establishments in full swing with plenty of folks wandering around. Circled the area and let gps settle, quickly cornered cache in 2nd place i looked. Cleverly done. Replaced without issue. Thanks for the cool cache in a cool spot.
Quick easy find on my way past to work early in the am. Was the second spot I looked, which is unusual for a L4B cache. Our local Thai which I think is among the best in Chch and is fortunately still operating. I'm now longing for it so might have to be takeaways for tea! Thanks for the clever hide
2100hrs FTF well this was a tricky wee cache, must have hunted around for at least 20 mins, justmeg arrived and we both had a hunt, nice hide, busy area tftc
629 - 2TF - FDF - Man this was a busy spot even at this time of night. First I had trouble finding a parking spot and then, as I was walking over to GZ, I spot a familar face in a vehicle parked next to where I was heading. Nope it wasn't Dan! Hello JustaNurse! We followed our GPS devices for a while but they just spun us round and round. In the end it was checked here, checked there, where next. JustaNurse was the first to get her hands on the cache and extract the log. Nicely done, thanks for placing L4TB.
