Searched the area, but today the Cache did not want to show itself to me. Will try again next time I am caching in the area[8][xx(]
Noting the fires that went through here 12 months ago, recommend the the CO checks this one.
With Yarloop reopening this week since the devastating bushfire, we thought we'd check it out on our way home from our road trip down the SW. It truly did get hard, wiping out many homes along with places like the PO & pub, with only remains pf the fire left at the railway & hall.
On a positive note, it's great to see the remaining locals keeping their heads up high & being friendly with a lovely wave whilst they were out fixing their gardens up. It's fabulous to see a few new brick houses being built too.
It might be time to place another cache here to ring people back into this community.

Came for a drive to check out Yarloop after the devastating bushfires in Jan that unfortunately claimed 2 lives. Even after 6 months, every entrance off the SWH is still manned by council workers & the clean up has began. I was surprised to see so many houses still standing. I'm now glad our family donated as many necessities (& days & days of our time sorting through donated items) to play our part in assisting the victims of that tragedy. I agree with disabling the cache, or possibly relocating onto the SWH.
Snuck in to Yarloop after all the fires, road blocks don't stop our Geo Adventures nothing but burnt out logs where the catch was suppose to be so we gatherd it was
Lost to the fires still enjoyed the hunt
Lost to the fires still enjoyed the hunt
I was headed south along the SWH today, and have to agree with the last cache note !!
The roadblocks are still in place three months later [:o]
Yarloop and it's caching opportunities are not going to be open for business any time soon

Althought the SWH has been reopened, there is still no access allowed to the town of Yarloop after the recent fires. Manned road blocks are positioned at every entrance. Suggest disabling this cache until the townsite has been reopened and the cache can be checked.
Originally logged under family caching name, clan-wallace, now relogging under my own name.
Going down to Margaret River for the day. Brian says that it is not primarily a caching day
After a massive week of caching, I still came up short of my target of 300 caches for the month. I decided to duck out today and hopefully grab the 60 odd remaining caches before returning to the Pilbara and work later on in the week. TFTC udderlymooved

Time to have a day out doing a caching run on a cool, sunny winter’s day, exploring the areas between Southwest Highway down to Yarloop and the Peel Inlet! Easy find, was taken with the intricate pieces, art and time that it would have taken to complete the mosaic. Fantastic piece of work!!!
What an awesome mosaic. Credits to you !
Tftc wouldn't have noticed the detail if it wasn't for the stop

TFTC! Out for a weekend caching run to Bunbury with Cravo10 and ItsKate to complete the South West Highway trail, some Moneybox caches in Capel and of course as many others along the way. Thanks

Today we bade farewell to our cabin at the Coogee Caravan Park, and moved into our cabin at the Margaret River Tourist Park.
On the trip down, we managed to make a few finds.
Along the way we found 10 caches of which this was the 2nd.
We parked nearby and a quick find resulted after a search helped greatly by the hint.

Left the Mandurah area, to continue south on our trip around Australia.

A quick find…fantastic mosaic! Can't say we saw a trackable but it is probably still there. SL TFTC
Spending a day of caching with my geo son-in-law, one half of intrepidcrew. We loved the mosaic. Easy cache, TFTC.
Missed this one on a previous visit a couple of weeks ago, I didn't check the previous logs indicating a location change. Had a quick find here today though and once again admired the magnificent mosaic.

Headed out today with Amyrall and Geology boy to pick up the recently released additions to the SWH series, and also some surrounding caches along with planting a few new ones.
Was a great day out and we had a 100% find rate. Very pleasing.
Having just finished the SWH section, we were finding some other nearby caches.
Whilst at this one, we had someone approach us to say it was on private property. We moved it to public land and Amyrall (lg coming soon) has the new co-ordinates.
The C/O has not been online for some months.

Out for a planned quick dash and (hopefully) grab with Geology boy and Kyzabra.
What resulted was a cruise down the highway looking and luckily finding everything we stopped for!
Started our run at Pinjarra heading south with priority being the SWH series but also any others that were en route as well.
When arriving at GZ we noticed very recent clearing on bushland and as our GZ had us on flat ground we were a little concerned. Just after finding our target we were approached by a concerned local asking if we found the "GPS thing". we said we did and he told us it will need to be moved as it was on private property. He made us aware of the recent marker posts outlining the property boundaries and this was way inside. Thankfully he was kind enough to allow us a chance at moving it instead of simply getting rid of it himself.
We scouted a similar hide outside the boundary and placed for a safer home.
Updated coordinates are included.
Thanks for causing us to come and search!

Found @ 11:59!
Find #21 on a caching day with 'Amryall' and 'Kyzabra' to complete some of the caches along the South Western Highway!
I let the others search for this one while I headed to the fantastic sign to take a photo.
Just as I was arriving at GZ, 'Amryall' made the find. We were initially a little concerned as there was evidence of clearing here.
I was finishing signing the log, when a local drove up to us and asked if we found the 'GPS thing', after which commenced the conversation about the location being on private property (and another cache down the road). Apparently he had mentioned this to people before...
We were told it only had to moved a few metres to be outside the boundary, so we decided to shift the cache to a safe location on public land.
My coordinates for the new location:
S 32° 57.229 · E 115° 54.259

Out caching today with Peeted. stopped to let them sign as we had found and signed the log on the 26/03/13 only to discover we had never entered it. A case of "I thought you did it". TFTC
Took a run from Roleystone to Harvey today with Happy jacks55 to conduct some business but more importantly to find a cache or two and reduce our list of the SWH series to find. We found the caches between rain showers and achieved an acceptable result under the circumstances.
What a stunning mosaic!! We were so impressed with the work that went into it that the cache was a decondary item, which we duly found. Thanks for taking us there.
Out caching with AUS Vrede along the SW Highway on a beautiful sunny winter's afternoon.
This was our first in the Mosaic Trail series and we were impressed with the work we were taken to. Very impressive !!
Eventually wandered over to GZ and grabbed the cache and signed the log.
Thanks for the cache udderlymooved [^] - Looking forward to seeing what we find at other locations in this series.

another good find, lived in the south West for 10 years now and had never visited Yarloop a nice small town.
Heading home from Myalup but we decided to find a cache in Harvey to help us with the August Challenge. Then we remembered some caches we were supposed to find on the way down but forgot.
So zigzagging our way back Forrest Highway we came across this cache and just had to stop.

Apologies in advance for a copy/paste log, but I have very limited internet access, and sooo many logs to catch up on after an energetic 3 days of just caching!
Set off a day early to go to the WA goes BIG Event, on a very blustery, cold and wet day, caching as I went, many of the hide sites ankle deep in water! However with some soldiering on, it was a remarkably successful day, dodging most of the worst downpours, and ended up in Busselton cold, muddy, wet through, but cache happy!

This was our special weekend away to attend Wa Goes Big in 2013 - hosted by Felix11. As well an opportunity for Mr Luna Maya & myself to celebrate Our 25th Wedding Anniversary. We travelled south along the SWH. Caching in rain & even hail. All good had a great time.SL TFTC Udderlymooved
Out on a caching run Bunbury to Waroona with freebkids and TomatoesRule and picking up some caches along the way.
A quick find and all is currently safe
TFTC. Really love looking at these mosaics and this one is stunning like the others. Thanks for bringing us to see them.
