Our third time at trying to find this one. After 30mins of phone bouncing coords, we searched a 25m radious. Have left plenty of DNA (should of gone and donated blood instead). Got nervous with two dogs barking madly so left. This one is not meant to be for us.
It took a while cause of the dog and I got a big scratch cause I ran straight into the bush but I found it
Exactly where we thought it would be. Bonus little playground for the mini-geocachers. TFTC.
Another month, another challenge. I don't know if I'll manage the full 28 day streak but I'm keen to see how many days I can get out and find caches this month. This is Streak Day 20. After dropping Mrs Biggles off at the airport for an early flight to see our Grandchildren in Auckland, I drove around to find a few caches before the forecast bad weather set in. Not quite in the first place I checked but it didn't take too long to spot it. TFTC, Biggles.
Was a close call, coordinates were a bit all over the place, but after checking previous entries we found it. Now it’s time to get ready for what we came here for. Visiting from Auckland.
Thanls to previous logs we knew what to look for. Little yappy dogs should be in bed at this hour
Managed to find despite coordinates looking like they were on someone’s property. TFTC!
Really cool little cach.
There was a little cute bird about 1 foot away guarding the cach We had to go carefully go around the bird, it was not moving an inch. TFTC

Easy find with the updated coords and the help of Google maps...
What amazing trees- stunning! Thanks for bringing me to this place that would never have been on my radar otherwise.

Don't think this one is here anymore. Came with previous finder but the three of us had no luck. Two dogs going nuts didn't help. Nasty thorns on tree we all got caught up on. Did give the lovely Manna Gum a big hug.
Found today, great hide. No pen, but have photo proof to send to CO it required!. Thanks
The biggest tree? We looked around all the bushes using the hint but couldn’t find it
Unfortunately no luck finding this cache, have come a couple of times with a new set of eyes but to no success.

Spent a while trying to look for it lol but needed up finding it with the lid on the ground and nothing inside to sign?? First find!
Cache was a quick find and what a fantastic gum tree and I just couldn’t get a decent photo of it.
Wanted to pick up one cache today, Christmas Day, as it seemed like an appropriate time to notch up my 2900th find. This one was a slight detour from the route we were taking from one Christmas gathering to the next. Took a couple of minutes to spot. We were wary of the prickly bushes but, in the end, we managed to locate the cache without having to delve into the bushes themselves. #2900. TFTC.
It is well hidden and took us a little while to spot. The gum trees in this reserve are truly impressive! Thanks for bringing us here, Hotspud.
Thank you for bringing us to this beautiful reserve. Quite amazing and we learnt a lot! Sl. Tftc
A short stroll to get this one. I was wonderign how many years burning in my fireplace was in each of those trees, quite a bit for our place I reckon. Cheers
I would never have known to visit this giant tree without this geocache. Thank you so much!
Came to find a couple of weeks ago couldn't find it so came back today and my son found it. Thanks
Seemed like half of chch had cleared out for the long weekend so was a good chance to find some caches around town with minimal traffic and muggles. Tftc
After doing my shift at the nearby Polyfest, I still had a bit of time before my next event, and conveniently there were some caches around. This was the last one before heading for a concert just around the corner, and perfect timing. I just had to remove some vegetation from my hair as I started looking in the wrong place originally. TFTC!!
Awesome Australian tree. Appropriately there was a magpie warbling. Quick find. Cheers for bringing me here. Thanks to all cache owners for taking the time to place and maintain your caches. BJ25. Find # 1598
In Christchurch for the weekend with my partner and while she is doing a 2 day course I came up with her as it is the perfect time to log lots of caches and try to log 2000 before next year. TFTC
Sunday good time to find it as wasn't busy at all. Took a little while to find it, but eventually found it. Great spot to hide. Reading previous comments helped alot.
10 June 2017 17:09. No koala bears (or drop bears) in the gums but they are impressive specimens. TFTC Hotspud
They certainly are impressive gum trees. There was nobody around so the cache was quickly found. TFTC.
Didn't check logs before heading off on an early morning walk so after a false start checked logs and thought oh no but spotted a go track and a quick find. Tftc
#13630. This is an interesting park. We had to cross a temporary fence (which is largely horizontal) to get to GZ. Troodles got stuck in and quickly found the cache. TFTC.
After visiting family in New Brighton, we had time to pick up some caches en route back home. We have found all the other caches in this wee series, so is was about time we made the effort to find this one.
Spotted some tall trees as we drove towards GZ, so guessed the tree would be one of these. The coast was clear, so with good co-ords, we were able to make a quick find.
An impressive gum indeed, thanks for bringing me here.

Made this find while back in Christchurch for a few days. Took the chance to catchup with brodiewill and find a couple of caches - Aiming for 3 and found 2. This was the last one, at a park brodiewill had never been to despite living not far away all his life - love how caching makes you explore places near and far.
Phone had a hissy-fit not long after making the find, so couldn't take the pic I wanted to nor log using my app.
Worth noting that there is an orange plastic fence stretching across the park that has fallen over. Can't see any reason for it, and if it was up the cache would be on the other side.
Thanks for the smilie

Looks like some work is being done in this wee park. Cache is behind orange fencing but easy to locate. Fabulous trees. Tftc

The reserve wasn't on my map so I drove in circles a bit to find it but wasn't too hard. Just thought it is accessible from Breezes road.
Took a bit to find the box as well, but I sharpened my vision **orifices** and eventually found it behind the last post I looked.
These trees are really impressive! Would be a nice place for a solid T5 cache up there.
Thanks for the cache!

Managed a quick grab here, it was poring with rain so I didn't stop to admire the trees. TFTC!
Cache number 86. I have always wondered where those massive trees were and now I know . TFTC
A fun road trip with tmann421 enjoying the sights and collecting some caches.
A quick find here. TFTC

An easy find in a small park with one of th the biggest gum trees you will ever see.
Thanks
Thanks
Magnificent tree. Was a bit worried for a while approaching GZ, there seemed to have been a big clear up. However, cache is safe and OK. TFTC
Cute little park and nice big trees, but they sure do leave a lot of bark! Tftc.
OK so this was Def the last find for the night. Very dark at 9pm now! Out with numpty bum.
Our last cache on the way home. Took longer than it should've although we had to use the light on our phone to see what we were doing. The trees look amazing against the sky. TFTC
Impressive trees and a lovely reserve. Cache found after inspecting a few hint items and then junior cacher enjoyed the playgound which was nice and shady on a hot day. Tftc and thanks for bringing us to this lovely spot.
Had to come over this side of town during the evening so why not grab a cache close by as well. Light quickly fading but managed a quick find in about the 3rd place searched. That sure is a rather grand tree.
A warm evening, a nice bike ride and a quick find. Thanks. This vindicates a DNF some years ago.

Looks like it has disappeared again. Heave replace in a slightly different location, away from the prickly plants. New clue too.
