Logs
WA Big Trip Winter 2024. Day 65 - Swan Valley Perth Day 10. My last Suburban county was today. It turns out I have been in and through Nedland a few times already, but just Labs so far. I had a mixed result from my list of caches today. Some of the camo is way too good for me. I then moved back to Subiaco and had a great walk around the main town centre and enjoyed myself before driving home via a couple more caches to round out my day. The day finished with shopping and cooking at home. The cache may not be at was originally intended, but there was a container to be found, so I signed the log and put it back where I found it.Thanks for the cache .K.B.48141.6 TNLNVisited: World Traveling Gold GC A#6 & State Medallion - California A#227**Albida**
TFTC. It is no longer a Canadian style tin. Thanks kb for placing amd maintaining the cache.
After dropping Jasmine at Claremont for some work at a festival, I decided to make the most of being in the area and pick up some caches nearby away from all the business.A quick find here at GZ. Thanks for the hide.
Coupla muggles at the bus stop but I think I got away with this one courtesy of a relatively quick find. TFTC!
Nice easy find around the corner from where I just got a FTF. This one has somewhere to sit away from muggles at the bus stop whilst signing the log. Sadly I wasn't alone (See pic) I thought Dalkeith was classy!
We decided to head back up this way and grab a few more of the caches on offer. This cache was one we targeted for today. Cheers and TFTC.

Was immediately drawn towards the structure near GZ however having looked at some previous logs earlier in the day knew this was a fool’s errand.
Trusted the gps and and circled a few times before SirFancy spotted the cache.

Headed up to the Nedlands area tonight with SirFancy with the main target being a new ad lab in the area.
We punctuated lab stops with cache finds and I’m pleased to say we managed to find everything that we were looking for this evening.
An enjoyable night out concluded with 5 finds, 5 adventure labs and 0 DNF’s.

Exploring Donkey's new neighbourhood. A quick easy find, took a while to extricate due to the ants. TFTC
Glad I was caching with my co-pilot (wife) or I would not have been able to reach this. TFTC!
So glad I cache with garden gloves and my hands are very small. No way PilotMal could have grabbed this. That’s what team caching is all about. TFTC
Nice quick find here even though big fingers made a meal of getting it out. TFTC
Doh, got unnecessarily distracted with the obvious feature, got there in the end, thanks
Finally, after three tries, and a geohint from geofriend ____akluger, we found it!!!

Found by Guiness12. I was born in Canada. Puzzled about the tin. Original muggled?
Nice quick find here. Thank goodness for skinny fingers it was harder to retrieve then find.
Glad I looked at one of the last photos or I would have been looking around the gazebo the whole time. Skinny fingers got this one out.
A very exclusive area indeed!
TFTC!

With the family at an appointment at a nearby hospital I took the opportunity to duck out and grab a cache.
Chose this one to get me another gem for the Mystery in the Museum challenge.
Didn’t get too distracted here thanks to reading previous logs.
kbinuk2005 SVKR_WA found your cache Canada Cache today at 11:04:30 23 Jul 2019.
kbinuk2005 - Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment. We love travelling the state and visiting some places that we would only visit due to this game.

Took me longer to extract the bloody thing then find it. I have left it on a slightly easy angle for the next finder. TFTC
Had to be at Mount Hospital at 7.15am for tests and then after lunch in Subiaco for another test. First tests finished before 8.30am so Mr dimor drove around getting GA and GC caches and going to some places we've never been.
Was a good day and the weather was a tad humid but apart from the many ants at most caches we enjoyed ourselves caching
Willing to forgo caching I cut my list short due to wanting to visit my Great Grandparents grave at Karrakatta before my next test this time in Subiaco.
As we got to my test early, I went in early so walked out the door just after appointment time, how good was that as it now gave more time to pick up the caches I bypassed but this time doing them in reverse order.
As I sighted the cache it was me with smaller fingers who had the job here to get the cache, not an easy feat with a very sore wrist from todays tests but finally managed.

A shame i missed out on the canada tin and had to fight a mint tin out of its hidey hole, hope you have the chance to restore this cache to its former glory, Thanks for the hide and keeping the cache going despite the upgrades to the gasebo
We headed out this morning to cache in the area, we spotted the cache quickly but the retrieval was a different story, after the frustration and finally having the cache in hand we performed our signing duties and returned the cache TFTC
We were very naughty this morning and used the geomobile to come to this spot. Upon arrival we thought that the hiding spot was obvious so left our trusty device in the jalopy and made way for what was an already-occupied site. Spot made small talk with a local as Patch had a wee search but we decided that, in the end, a GPS might come in useful. So it was and kbinuk2005's perfect co-ordinates brought us to the right location. A bit of careful and patient manipulation and Spot had the prize in hand. All's in good order here; Thanks .K.B.
Out on a bit of an evening drive and cache run after a long day at work.
Hint: Trust your GPS... Spent far too long on my hands and knees, crawling around with a torch in my mouth. Had a little trouble retrieving the cache, but eventually got there and had my name on the log just before 2200hrs. Cheers KB!

Going to an area of uncharted waters, find quickly, took a minute or two to extract. TFTH
Originally looking in the wrong spot but quickly found it once we were in the right spot.
Out today for some long overdue group caching with the geokids TH/CS and Theoutbackwizard101. Thank you to all the CO’s for placing these caches. The log was damp.
Out for the day to do some caches with TH/CS and GHFB. Nice sunny day, Tftc!!
Quick find as I could see it from far away. After signing the sheet returned it to its hidey hole and covered.
Headed out Fishing, but was to rough so we headed back in and went caching instead, Tftc.
Had a few hours to spare today so decided to drive down here from North Beach for a walk along the river, grab a few caches and take in the lovely views. Hopefully the nice Canada tin didn’t fall victim to the gazebo refurb, but I was pleased to at least pick up the regular mint tin replacement Very quiet around here today so had plenty of time to search and retrieve the container (the latter stage being the hard part). Finally, after much jiggling around, the container was freed from the tree Log was still very damp but I managed to sign without any problems. Popped it back in its snug little hidey hole TFTC
Second try at this cache. Cache is a bit tricky to get out of its hidey hole. Needed to use a magnetic tool to extract the cache.
Day 122 of 365! Wow 4 months already. 100 down 200 to go.
Found the cache very quickly but took a few minutes to extract. Log was soaked but I was able to sign. Walked around the park waving it around to try dry it as best I could then put it in a little plastic baggie before returning the cache. Tftc
Mini me with her souvenir from GZ.

After 10 minutes of trying to get the cache out of its hiding spot. I decided it was not possible. It's wedged in such a way that even though it's loose it won't come out. Grrrr.

The hiding spot has been removed so the container will need replacing and I don't have one suitable on me.
This one took some time. Not a fan of gazebo hides tbh. But as I was in the area, I wanted to get the smiley. TFTC TAD
.K.B., I found your cache Canada Cache dry and healthy . SL TFTH. Image shows: Canadian gazebo and GZ!
Ventured north of the river for a geo adventure. Lots of rain the first few hours but then settled to intermittent showers. We found 37 caches on our outing today.
A methodical search soon saw us signing the log
TFTC kbinuk2005 this is find # 1958 for us

A quick stop while in the area. Plenty of hiding places but luckily we found the cache pretty quickly. Thanks KB
It is a tricky one, you really have to look from the right angle. Nice tin, TFTc
Quiet afternoon at the gazebo left me free to search. Took a little while but I found it eventually. TFTC.
Found this one on my second attempt, surprised I didn't find it on my first. TFTC!
Nicely hidden, took some effort. Co-incidentally I just visited Canada recently. TFTC!!
tftc kb. I can not believe i did not see this when i was here twice before. Thanks for the small hint. left me gobsmacked how i did not see it.
Nearly gave up on Canada after checking nearly every cranny high and low, but found the little bugger in the end.
