After a long paddle and a stroll through the soldier crabs soon found. TFTC Jenne G and Budgy North Nowra N.S.W.
Anchored nearby for the night so swam over with geopups who had a great time rolling in the sand while we found these two caches. Didn’t have a pen with us to sign the log. TFTC
Anchored in the channel for the night. Took the geopups for a swim over to the island. Found with Rach_Jean21.

Out and about on a sea adventure as part of Captain Terror’s crew today. The Captain hired a rather suitable BBQ boat for today’s seafaring, which took us along the Gold Coast waterways of the Nerang River.
We were ready to drop anchor for the event, which happened to be right near this one. I opted to walk the plank to head for this one, but no one seemed to be following me. I soon discovered it was because the cache was on the boat with the CO.
Eventually he made it to ground with the cache/s, and we headed the few short metres to the cache location. The old cache was quickly found, and expertly replaced with a shiny new one and new logbook, signed by the Captain’s crew.
Thanks for the cache Captain Terror.

Today back down the coast for another paddle and for some other caches. I had few target caches today.
In the end I found 31. The breakdown is 11 traditional, 4 mystery, community celebration and 3 adventure labs with 15 waypoints.
One cache I found was with previous finder for some help. This is my third attempt. Yippee
I had a fun day today. Sorry for the generic log.

Found it before an event started by the CO of the cache. He also did a maintenance run for this as well so it made it easier.
One joy of hosting an event a few metres from GZ, is the opportunity to easily perform maintenance. This one was well in need - the elements are not kind out here.
A full replacement was employed and ready to go again. Same location as before

Attending the nearby event hosted by CO and was happy to grab the caches on the island while we were her. This one was a quick find mere metres from the party... then off to the other end of the island for cache 2. Thanks for bringing us here. The island is beautiful
We’ve been eyeing off these couple of caches on this little island for years but have never got around to paddling over to find them.
Then, with today’s event planned for this island, and we were free, we thought it was too good an opportunity to miss. So here we are.
We took a wander with Snickersallan and Tenkae to find this cache. We didn’t have to go too far before we ducked under the trees and found this cache high and dry. Nice to have our names in the new logbook.
Thank you.

This weekend, [@jesswrigley](http://coord.info/PRNW59T) and I had a trip down the Gold Coast, comprised of geocaching Events, a family catchup, a Wave Break Island kayak paddle, and a Nerang mountain bike session ride.
Today, the morning plan was the [Summer Wave (Break) and Paddle Celebration](https://coord.info/GC8ZDPM) Community Celebration Event. A windy and rough paddle, but otherwise an enjoyable island adventure. We took a couple of stops in Labrador and Southport, before catching up with family in Robina. I then managed to duck out for a few hours to Reedy Creek, Burleigh Waters, and Burleigh Heads, attempting to target oldies such as the *Paradise Series*.
A paddle across, and we managed to join Davinells and Peppa just as they were departing this island. This geocache was a short walk to where we had placed our kayaks, and it was a "quick" find of the geocache, or what was the remnants. The logbook was quite wet and saturated, and there was only a cable tie that I found, so a TLC visit may be required to this one soon. Thanks Captain Terror for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.
Note that this geocache was logged with the *Team Warren* Davidwazza/jesswrigley stamp.

We set off from the car park on our little paddle across to wave break Island, it was a little windy and there was a little swell, but it only encouraged us to get across. I took a course that lead me into the wind and with less wave action. This put me very close to these isle of terror caches. so with a brief stop here, we got to walk around and find these caches.
This one we found on the ground and the log was very wet, mush as one person put it. We found a spot and scribed some initials. We replaced this back in the tree. This one does need some extra loving.
Thanks for the placement of this one.

With an event on wave break island we set off a little earlier and battled the wind to reach the Isle of Terror.
The wind played havoc with our exits from the yaks, causing us to get more wet than we intended! We made our way to GZ and looked up high but couldn’t see it from the ground. Wanting to get a better look up in the tree I went to start climbing and found the cache on the ground.
The log was very wet but we etched some initials in and placed it in the fork of the tree. Tftc Captain Terror

With a plan to attend the Summer Wave (Break) and Paddle Celebration Event, a group assault was made on the Isle of Terror caches on the way…
Any opportunity to unfold the SS Origami Hooruu…
A moments distraction over inappropriate footwear meant the SS Origami Hooruu had the opportunity to take back to the water… let’s just say I was considerably wetter than I wanted to be…
We arrived at GZ and begun scanning the heavens for this cache… only for Davinells to spot it on the ground… as previously mentioned the log is mush… but we etched some initials into the paper and returned it to a fork in the tree…

Found this one yesterday whilst boating around on the broadwater. Found it soon after reading the hint. I haven’t had to do this in years in order to get to the cache. It was fun… until I opened the lid, stuck my finger in and pulled out a soggy piece of paper and wet pen, covered with ants and ant larvae. I should have attempted some sort of maintenance but I was dry retching at the smell on my hands. I had to get to the water and wash it off fast! Needless to say, I didn’t sign the log. Sorry, I hadn’t prepared any caching equipment to replace logs etc.
Found this one with some other family members, a bit more effort then the other one. We were able to sign the log book but it appears to have received a soaking as the lid was loose on top (Muggled?). Still a good bit of fun. TFTC. Lt. Sniper and TorrFam
We thought we were alone on this island. No footsteps around, so we decided to walk from our last find to this one.
As we rounded the island, we came across a boat and 2 people, swimming and fishing. Polite greetings ensured.
A meander further, and then a quick climb to GZ.
GZ was spotted quickly, but upon opening the container, we set loose an army of ants and their future progeny who were still in cased in their protective egg shells.
Sadly for the poor ants, we gave the container a gentle spray, and hopefully we have cleared it a little.
There was a pen inside still intact, covered in ants and eggs. We added another log sheet, since it was impossible to remove anything else inside.
A great location, and a wonderful opportunity for us to visit this island.
Thanks Captain Terror

This was almost comical (except for my hours of effort). Despite dragging my kayak to almost gz, getting the southern cache, I didn’t get this because it wasn’t on my gps. After getting Gur’s cache I looked at my phone and saw this one. But despite standing at gz for Herbz’s I missed it too?!? Chudles and attention to detail are two words you don’t often hear in a geocaching context.
Anyway, paddled back and found it quickly. However as I tipped it to get the log out poured hundreds of ants which looked like the have built a religion based on the geocaching container gods and their provision of food in the form of a now consumed log. They asked me for another, but sadly I could not help.

Cruising around the Broadwater this morning.
High tide, accessing this beach was easy in the tinny.
Glad that that cache was a bit out of sight, we were not alone here today.
But all eyes were on the water, no problems with the cache
Thank you C T for this one

Another beautiful day for fishing. When the Toads start biting its time to search for a geocache.
Kids enjoying the challenge in this one. It’s tight. Surprise it’s got a pen. We lost the pen on the last island.

Yesterday, we were out on the water ways and the day was absolutely beautiful when we launched, so beautiful that I left my wet suit behind, the look of shock of Mr 4ando’s face was priceless, coming back in it was a different story. By the time we reached dry land again, I was clinging to Mr 4ando’s back dripping wet and shivering, that mistake would not be made today…wetsuit was back on!
We had walked up from the last cache and passed a group of young 20’s having a great time on the Island, as nice as they were, we were thankful they were no where near the cache. Since I was gloating to Mr 4ando about my last tree climb, he was quick to say ‘Up you go!’ Won’t be saying that again, the tree climbing is his job not mine!
Thanks for bringing us to a cracker spot.

There was no log so I chucked in a bit of paper and a pen. TFTC. great spot great day
Its jet ski day! While we were out playing on our new toys, I still needed to find a cache and this one was targeted. Pulled up as the tide was coming in, headed to GZ and spotted the cache from the ground. Made the climb and unfortunately no log to sign, the cupboard was bare. I didn’t have any paper on me so had to leave as is. TFTC!
Nice day for a kayak. Lots of boats and jet skis around though. Bit noisy. Gound cache ok
It's geohubby's RDO today so we planned to have a paddle date. I've recently joined a sea kayaking club and completed a basic skills course, so it was time to test myself out in the waves. Yikes!
The wind and tide was on our side, so it was a lovely paddle to the Isle of Terror. We pulled up on the beach and I headed in, dodging the human waste as I went (can't you dig a hole people or better yet not use this lovely place as a toilet, sheesh! [:(!]) I arrived at GZ and soon realised where the cache was. Hmmmmm, might need geohubby's help for this one. With much sighing and eye rolling (he's a paddler, not a cacher) he came in to help and had the cache in hand in about a minute. I signed the log and we were off for another adventure. Its been two years since my last trip in this waterway with muggle son and today he decided to bring me back out for an early Mothers Day present. We had a fun filled day with lots of laughs with a beaut picnic lunch on the tinnie and grabbed a few caches in the process. We pulled up approx 100 mtrs from the land and as I waded in the shallows I saw my third stingray for the day, certainly moved fast to get out of the water. Once at GZ it was spotted quickly and upon opening the cache a million ants ran out, looks like they have been nibbling away at the logbook as its fallen apart somewhat, nice hide though.

Staying with a friend at runaway bay who loves being out in his boat/s and is starting get an idea of how much I am into this game. Parked on the eastern side and walked around to the west...not really necessary. Climbed up the ant-infested branches and did the quickest signature ever, as I was being covered by them. Didn’t want to I’ll any so got out of there. I don’t think they were the stinging type. TFTC. I have plenty of favourite points so giving one to each in the series. Best fun.
With the profusion of branches, it was easier getting up the tree than getting to the tree. TFTC
I finally got to log a find here thanks to the Lovely Mr & Mrs Patrol14. After attending a nearby event they kindly agreed to ferry me around to a few nearby caches. You meet some great people caching! We got as close to shore as we could in the boat, then after a bit of a wade through the water and a little climbing the log was in my hand. All in good condition here. Tftc Captain Terror
While attending the CITO event on the island, we motored around to the entry point for stortigirls to find this cache. Visiting the TB's we have on board.
Gold Coast Day
Today we headed over to the spit for a family get together.
My brother bought his tinny, so was captain for the day. We headed out into the water with larger vessels cruising by & smaller jet ski's wizzing past. The weather was just too good for all the boaties to ignore.
On the islands we left the tinny anchord & walked to each cache. The containers were quickly spotted & signed.
We were going to finish with a fish & chip lunch but the line up was just too long to wait.
Thanks for placing this cache Captain Terror

What else does a boy do on Easter Sunday? Join the hoardes of boats on the Broadwater and maintain some geocaches. I set off from the Spit in my kayak, straight across to Curlew Island here. I landed basically at Isle of Terror - Central, so legged it from there up to this geocache.
Oh boy has this area changed since I was last here! Nature sure is taking hold with many trees, grass, cobblers pegs and I am proud to see, lantana sprouting all over the place. The original hiding spot is more of a challenge to get to than ever. Almost 5 years in the harsh conditions of this island had done their bit to wear this container out, so it got a full replacement. All good to go again - same island, same tree, same height!

Out on a boatie trip with RoddyC, Nursey Julie, Selva Girls and E:) to explore Wavebreak Island and surroundings.
We headed on foot from the other cache and soon as I came around the corner I spotted the cache and Nursey Julie had spotted it also.
She was quick to retrieve the cache and we signed the log and it was returned to where we found it.
Back to the yellow submarine.
We spotted a mob of pelicans on the sand bar.
Time to cast off but first we had to push the boat out a bit.
Enjoyed your caches Captain.

Out for a day on the water with Mr & Mrs RoddyC, Nurseyjulie, E(: and Team Benders. We walked around the island from a previous cache to GZ. There, Nurseyjulie quickly spotted the cache and went up. Our names were added to the log, then we headed back to the boat. TFTC
A designated day for water based caching. We had completed several long-distance boat caches last year, but still had the seven in the main channel off Southport to find. So we hired a six-person tinnie today, and set off. We knew that two caches were missing, so received gracious permission for the respective COs to replace them. Thanks guys!
The group walked here from the Central cache along the seaward side, then through a large patch of tall cobblers pegs. Ugh! We were removing them afterwards for ages!! Nursey Julie once again has first there and climbed to the cache. Cache is in good order. I took a yellow flower from the tree back to Mrs RoddyC who was boat minding. [xx(]

Since we had such a good time chasing down caches on the Pine River last week, we made a plan to finish getting the caches on the water around the Broadwater.
Motored up to this one and after a short walk, Hubby found this one easily.
Logbook was full so replaced with a new log sheet for the next finders.
All is well with this cache.

Catching up on some late logs from our recent trip up North and a chance to hire a small boat and catch some sun and a couple of caches was just the ticket. We headed off with a couple of other caching teams, Moosetash and Happy Feet and the six of us (including two eager caching kids) set off on smooth waters and tackled the Isle of Terror series. We made this our first find of the island and it was soon located after a short search, thanks Captain Terror for the cache and adventure.
Had hired a boat so we could enjoy the views and grab a few caches. It was low tide so it was an easy walk and quick find, once at GZ. Needed tweezer to extract the full log.
Thanks Captain Terror for placing & maintaining the cache for us to find.

We walked around the tip of the Island for this one, and Happy pants made the find. The views from the middle of the broadwater were fantastic, although we weren't alone on the island, the fisherman's dog certainly wasn't happy that we were there and let us know about it. Thanks for the hide and bringing us here.
With the mornings activities out of the way it was time to see how much of a dash we could do around the islands and sea wall in the kayak. A few spots it was easier to walk the kayak along the sand due to the current and winds. It's certainly worth keeping clear of the two break walls on the island as there was white water and a very visible current. Certainly a few boats out today and nice to see some Dolphins out. We took the bush bash way into CaleD is Breaking Waves and this was the hardest to find as the GPSr bounced around and the hint matches so many spots. Small Bertha had us tricked as the cache container was full of water so we picked it up and put it down when we heard all the water. Eventually we realised and emptied out the water but the log was unsignable. Out along the Seawall for the unofficial GCPT and we spotted a couple of small wallabies in the shade. A bit of looking for some but we got there in be end. TFTC.
After finding out I was up the wrong tree, quickly found container. Bit harder to extract the log hanging from the branch. Log full. TFTC
Enjoyed the day of work today for my birthday.
Paddled over with R for some 40tb birthday T5 caches.

Still having a great day on the kayak,we had the tide just right and the water was smooth and it had been a while now since it rained.Griffo and I parked our ship here and soon found this one on the Isle of Terror.TFTC.
A boating adventure today with 22 out of 23 found (2 unloved) with Gulliverstravel54, cantcachus2014 and i. Starting our day at the runaway bay boat ramp (630am) we only had a small window it find 16 of them before the sea way was in a lock down at 10am as the 1st Xcats power boat championship was here on the gold coast and we didn't want people watching us while we were finding all the hides. Out of the area and clear of the lock down but 30mins we headed north the find the others, low tide up this way played havoc and killed so much of our time up this way. tftcsl

I'm so sorry I forgot to take a log book over for this one. nor did I find a convenient nephew hovering around (both of mine live many km from here unfortunately) to send for retrieval. thank you for this series of caches.
Out for a day cruising around on the Broadwater with my muggle brother and nephew and convinced them to accompany me on some of the local caches. Having not planned our visit to coincide with the right tides we did make the task rather hard for ourselves. We managed to navigate our way through the shallow water and beach ourselves not far from GZ. On the way we discovered a sharps container washed up on the beach with some nasties inside so that was quickly CITOed. I was a bit surprised by the amount of cobblers pegs waiting for us between the beach and GZ - not something I expected to deal with out here! Being the first cache of the day it took a while for the geocaching eyes to kick in and once spotted my nephew was dispatched for the retrieval. Found a bit of spare room left to sign the log. TFTC
Easter school holidays and what to do with the twins? Take them geocaching of course!
Thing is, after getting a trailer, loading the kayaks and wave board, safety gear, towels and so on, poor old dad forgot his pen! We did snap a few photos though, so if CO wants proof of find its no problem. In any case the North cache log was full. A good fun time was had, thanks.

The Geo Cruise II crew aboard the "SS Jaune" beached on the Northern tip of terror island after a very disappointing landing on Wavebreak Island and a near mutiny incident. Hot Wheels Duo, Lost 2 Found and myself trekked forth hopeful of success on this island. The cache was soon spotted and able mate Hot Wheels Duo was dispatched to do the retrieval.
Yellow boat from Geocruise #2 had a lovely stroll around this island.
Great to see Hot Wheels Duo enjoying a tree climb. She nearly lost her glasses here but we spotted by K8'n'Co on the ground.
Thanks for the cache Captain Terror.

I love a good tree climb...and on this one I got to do two, first the wrong tree and then the right tree. Signed the log quickly - it is full, room to squeeze a few more names in, unfortunately I didn't have any new ones with me or would have replaced it. After a moment of panic at being 'wedged' in the fork of the tree, and having to go back up before I could get down, I was soon on the ground again and ready for the next one. TFTC.
Today I was out with the Geo cruise #2 on a very hot day picking up a bunch of caches on islands. Good to get some terrain 5 caches knocked off. TFTC
As part of Geo Cruise number 2 today we visited caches on South Stradbroke Island, Wavebreak Island, and a Terror-ble Island. Lots of fun and geo chatter made the day a pleasant (but very hot) one.
On our last few caches of the day and our wonderful chauffeurs dropped us up the top of this tiny island, and met us at the bottom end, which made for a few super quick finds.
No issues for this one, and an enjoyable climb. Thanks Captain.

Tftc. Typical in the other tree. Sent geo hubby in for this one. I wasn't walking in the long grass or climbing that tree. He had enough trouble
Out on a southern adventure with Orange Crew and Luke from Slow Puncture and boy were we in for a day of surprises, ending in one of the worst storms in 30 years!!
After beaching the Silver Bullet we wandered up the dunes to find... what.. really? Here!? A cemetery?!
Interesting!!
We stepped around the edges and made our way to the northern most point. We spotted a likely GZ, but while looking I spotted it just a little further away! Mr Crew raced over and made the grab before.. Whoops! He's dropped the log!! Mr Puncture went in to retrieve the log, but not before embracing about a hundred cobbler's peg weeds!! Look at you Mr Puncture!!
That's going to keep him busy for awhile!!

Out for a day of boating fun zipping around the Broadwater with Slow Puncture and Team DNA. We found the burial site near where we beached, quite eerie to have this here. Not far away the cache was found after looking in the wrong tree, and I climbed to make the grab before fumbling and dropping the log. Thanks Luke for for grabbing it for me, signed and returned.
Today, Team Armenia set out for an excursion to the Gold Coast, primarily to attack Wavebreak Island, Terror Island, South Stradbroke Island and Coombabah Creek in Orange Crew's powerboat (tinnie).
Why Team Armenia? ORANGE Crew, Team DNA (of RED Rocket fame) and Slow Puncture (of BLUE Thunder not-so-much-fame). Know your vexillology, people (Yes, I did have to look up Armenia's flag...).
Whoa! Beached the tinnie, stepped up the dune and found a cemetery with a fake owl in it! Wasn't expecting that! Headed north as per the cache name, and Kieran went up the tree, opened the cache and dropped the log. Luke deputised himself to retrieve it. On the one hand, found the log and handed it back. On the other, ended up with a billion seed things that stick to you, and spent the next two caches picking them off again!

Having done the other two islands, there is just enough time for these before heading back to the mainland.
Barb dropped the log, lucky there was two of us there.
Log signed and replaced,

Late logging but our name is on the cache.
Very popular spot for muggles and bird life, had lunch after finding the other two close caches.
Found quickly with help from hint.

Out for a spot of Kayaking with Gunnie on the Gold Coast Seaway. We set sail (paddle ) from the Spit a tad after 7:00 am and the “Terrible Island” became first port of call for the morning. Berthing at the centre port allowed us to collect the more southern prizes first and then we walked to the northern tip to seek this cache.
Gunnie had performed all the caching work so far to it was my turn to retrieve the cache.

A nice quick find after the embarrassingly long time the South cache took me... Ruzzelz along side, he did the honours this time and moved in for the grab. It was at that moment he realised he had jumped aboard the Yak without a pen... Hmm, how you gonna log now Ruzzelz...
Lucky I'm a nice guy and handed mine over. Well ok, I wanted my name in their too so there wasn't much thought required...
Island complete, it was back to the Yaks and into the water to head north on the West side of Wavebreak.
Cheers Captain Terror.

This was our last cache for the day and after the last one I was still picking out prickles from my bare feet. I decided to send in mr g. first as the bottom of his feet are like leather
We soon managed the find and were off to wave down our ride.

Up until now we had the Isle of Terror to ourselves but suddenly there's a ship on the horizon (or a small boat near the beach). Easy terrain for the last cache on the Isle, all except for the bit of grassy section that we learned from experience can contain prickles...so we sent MrG in. We knew he'd found the cache because we could see him perched at GZ. A very enjoyable wander around a location we would never have made the effort to get to without the caches. Thanks for the fun Captain Terror.
Out for a day of caching via kayak with IolantheK and teamdfl (believe it or not teamdfl only came for single cache, such is her devotion to making her cache map all smiles [:o)]) [^]
After our meeting at Helensvale McDonalds we headed down and found a couple of car parks at Harley Park (Don't need a boat ramp to launch a Kayak [^]). Then off we paddled in a anti-clockwise direction between "The Isle of Terror" and Wave Break then South Stradebroke, back to Nth End of Wave Break and down its the west side finishing at Big Bertha [^]
We arrived at GZ located our quarry, IolantheK did the vertical bit, and we were off to the next one on the Island (sandbar)
The cache is dry and in good condition []

T-Tech and I hired Rosco's Tidemark double kayak and met up with teamdfl for some paddling fun on ANZAC Day. We set off from Harley Park and visited "Isle of Terror", Wave Break Island and South Stradbroke Island, collecting 10 smilies from 11 hunts. A great few hours [^]
Our first landfall was Isle of Terror, and it was a quick wander on shanks pony to GZ where I went in for the grab. Mmmm... none too hard... TFTC, Captain.

I have to admit that Monday probably wasn't the best day for kayaking (strong winds and a 60% chance of rain) but I had borrowed a kayak and was on holidays so why not give it a shot.
I pulled into a car spot with the kayak strapped to the roof and was nearly blown away when I stepped out of the car. I had a drink of a caffeinated beverage and contemplated the short voyage across the choppy water to the "Isle of Terror". The sugar from the drink kicked in and I was soon untying the boat and sliding into the water.
Once I was on the water the wind did end up being that much of an issue and I made it to the IOT and pulled the kayak up onto the sand. Three caches that I could hopefully walk to, so it would be two feet and a heart beat for a bit before heading for Wavebreak.
It took a bit of time to track this one down but eventually my eyes pointed in the right direction and the cache was in hand.
Thanks for the cache Captain Terror. Cheers!!
Find number 1892.... so here is something you didn't know (or maybe did know) about 1892...... (speaking of islands).... Ellis Island, in Upper New York Bay, was the gateway for millions of immigrants to the United States as the nation's busiest immigrant inspection station from 1892 until 1954. The island was greatly expanded with land reclamation between 1892 and 1934. Before that, the much smaller original island was the site of Fort Gibson and later a naval magazine. The island was made part of the Statue of Liberty National Monument in 1965, and has hosted a museum of immigration since 1990. Long considered part of New York, a 1998 United States Supreme Court decision found that most of the island is in New Jersey. The south side of the island, home to the Ellis Island Immigrant Hospital, is closed to the general public and the object of restoration efforts spearheaded by Save Ellis Island.

This was the third and last cache for me whilst on the Isle of Terror. I had been able to convince Captain Terror to take me around to a few of the watercraft required caches before we made an appearance at the nearby event. We had started south and slowly made our way up here to the North. We parked the canoe nearby and headed over to GZ on foot.
We only had to walk a short way but in the middle of the day that sand got quite hot and I find myself more hopping than walking over to GZ. When we got there the Captain started looking in the tree for the container but couldn't seem to spot it. Geez Captain you might want to up the difficulty of your cache then.... oh ... wait.. it is in the other tree!
I soon had the logbook in my hands and after signing passed it back up to the Captain and it got put back in the container to remain dry and safe. Thanks for the cache and the day out Captain.

Found with Stooy while exploring these islands. It was quite the adventure, we even camped on the island for the night. Thanks for a great cache.
After a dramatic crossing in our little inflatables, dodging jetskis, jellyfish and larger watercraft I have a whole new appreciation for asylum seeking boat people.
This paddling caching thing is quite pleasant if planned right with the tides and wind and you aren't in a rush. Tick the box for all three today.
I left the kayak at Terror Central and walked to this one, since I knew the incoming tide would set me west on my way across to Wavebreak Island after collecting this one. No problems here. Quite adept at climbing trees.
Thanks for the cache, Captain Terror.
