Took me a long while to find, but finally there it was. A few people walking past must have thought me mad. TFTC
Had to wade to get there, but some serious erosion in this spot. Quick look but couldn't spot anything.
On A road trip with Dee+ME from Tauranga. Have been having a poke around here and there and been taken to some great places, many thanks to all you COs for your placements. Cheers I was pleased that I had a new tether for this to repair. All good now. Cheers again and a fp.
Out and about with McJandals.
Thanks for the walk in finally sunny weather. We did some running repairs on tail.

Back in the area this weekend so came for a wander along here. Found the replacement log, then as I was about to put it back I saw the bison nearby on the ground. The old log was looking a bit worse for wear so I replaced with the new log in the bison, and reattached to the fitting. TFTC
I was staying in Pahi with the Jags and Aiden29 for Easter so plans were made to collect as many caches as we could while we were up north. We were feeling a little drained by the time we found this one as we spent far too much time searching the wrong place. Unfortunately all that remains is the holder, no container was inside so we left a waterproof log inside a bag inside the holder. CO needs to check on this one
We decided to get way for Easter and stay in Pahi with Merlot58 and Aiden29. This one had us going. Reread the logs and searched higher. Found the cache but it was missing parts and the log. Replaced with a fresh waterproof log in a baggie.
Headed up North with Jag50 and Merlot58 to stay in Pahi for the long weekend. We were at Marsden point, and headed up this way to find caches along the beach. Searched for awhile looking at wrong level, but then I spotted something and upon further investigation it turned out to be the cache. We added waterproof paper in a plastic bag, as there was no log.
Got it quick. But the cache doesnt look good! No more space to log on the sheet, place a little destroyed..
Carried on along the beach, passed where I parked the car, to look for a few more caches. This one took a bit longer than it should have, but once I concentrated properly on the hint, the container was soon found. No log inside though, so signed the outside of the cache as others have done before.

At GZ looked all round and found it...I am not to drained over this one...log missing need replacing tftc
Woah, we over thunk this majorly!! After some time searching (finding a munzee) up, down, up and down. Finally after nearly giving up we rethough the hint and bingo, there it is. Needs a new log and cache is no longer camo'd, thanks
Today we left Mangawhai heading towards Whangarei.
After checking into our accommodation, lunch & a rest we decided to find some caches closer to the city area.
Thanks for placing this cache rednuam6
Came to Ruakaka today before low tide to grab some caches and have some fun with my new camera. Grabbed this cache first before deciding to double back and grab the other ones first- unfortunately I didn't get as many as i hoped because a stick brutally bit me! TFTC
As per previous logs, the cache was easily found once we were on the right path although my phone was determined to send me out to sea! Log is full.
Quickly found once we started looking in the right place. The cache seems seems detached as it is in two prices. Log was to wet so sign so just logged a M
A wonderful day for geocaching. Beginning with a few geocaches on some back roads going up to Whangarei. quick found. Log full! tftc
#11052. We didn't find this one on the first pass (concentrating on the cache title too much), but second find we were on top of the retaining wall, and made a quick find. TFTC.
Another glorious day in Northland and today's destination is Marsden Cove and surrounding areas with lots of caches finds both going to and coming from the area.
We struggled with this find. Looked for it first on the walk to two other caches in the area, but despite extensive searching, we failed it find it. Coming back from the walk, we realised that there was a walkway above the retaining wall (we had searched on the beach) so came back via that. Once in the right place, the cache was an instant find. Easy when you are on the right level.
Don't think the cache is quite working the way it should with its "tail". TFTC.

Finally. Completely fooled by 'batten' but yes it is by a batten! Logbook is full

Big Geocaching day up at dawn and not home until dusk. #28. perfect clue for a quick find. enjoyed the walk here and scenery. TFTC ;D
Parked on the family land and walked to get this one before going to the batches for a cuppa and to warm up our pies for lunch. Nice to be back here again. Loved living here. Kids had school from 8.30 till 2.30 at One Tree Point School. The rest of the day was spent enjoying the beach. Cache was another easy find, thanks
My 80 year old parents had a batch in Ruakaka for the week, and as I don't work the School holidays, they had invited me to join them. They enjoy the outdoors, going for walks etc. so they have become part of my Geocaching team.
Spent ages trying to get at something that moved that could be hiding a tail, with no luck. Now reading previous logs I don't even think that I was at GZ anyway.

No luck for us here today. Could see we were in the right place, but no bison to be seen (nor hint item either).
A Waitangi weekend road trip to collect a few puzzle series of caches that we have solved over the last month or so - plus any other caches that we can find on the way!
Our 2nd DNF in a row! Not a good start for us on this trail!

Having found the rest of the caches on our walk, we were determined not to let this one beat us! And it didn't! We re-searched GZ and then one of us had a brainwave! Found it shortly thereafter! Yippee!!!!

Found it! After a bit of unnecessary wading, we managed to find it! Batten in view from the water - nice!
Cache full of water but log still good to sign. Got this on a quick walk before xmas dinner at mums.
No luck with this one either today must be time to go home & return another day maybe
This is a beautiful part of the country. I even looked to buy a house here but decided against it as it was a bit far from my grandkids.
Cheers for the cache.
Cheers for the cache.
Found while on a day trip with Trout-fly picking up some caches. Thanks for placing this one
A beautiful sunny day. Felt like the first day of spring. A lovely caching walk along the beach with tide out. TFTC
What an awesome cache! Love three creativity and that we had to figure out how to open it. Thanks!
10.20am. Tide was right in so I had to walk along the top. An easy find.
Thank you. David.
Thank you. David.
Feeling Drained? Why, yes actually, after this morning's SplashnDash & quite a string of cache attempts, in the blustery wind & rain.... but i couldn't resist having another look for this since it is re-enabled & I was passing by. The tide was very full & recalling the original cache, was contemplating taking a plunge to have a look, but decided to read the latest logs. Thankfully Paul303's tipped me off for a better look and there it was. though my feet were wet anyway.... thought I spied a flounder, but nah- just a rock TFTC
(826) Found while on our way to the beach for a swim. Thanks for the additional clue. It really helped this time. TFTC
Nice hide !!! A nice walk along the path, will be back for more another day, our daughter has just moved out here and is just up the road !! TFTC
Beautiful day, kids had a lovely swim just after high tide in the calm bay. Easy walk to this string of caches from the beach access on Manaia View Road, with no wading or scrambling. Had a bit of a hunt around in the wrong spot before taking a gamble on what turned out to be the right spot. Tftc!
all this time ive bean on the bottom level looking it took my son inlaw to spot the cache site TFTC
A quick stop on our way north today, really enjoying the great weather and the caches that we found along the way. Nice area along here.
