21/02/19 Every time I drive past this cache I cringe. It’s my worst one and now totally pointless, as the art Installation was removed a couple of years after I placed the cache. Which was the only point of the cache... However, it’s had 220 finds and people like it. As a number. I don’t do numbers, per se, so can’t see the point in owning a cache that I would normally just drive on by... Which is why my numbers are lower than many other cachers of similar experience.

So that was a nice wee ramble to myself, as I’m probably the only person who will read this... c'est la vie

On our 33rd day in New Zealand we stayed in Rotorua. Today we wanted to stay around town, have a look at it, go to the spa and get some of the solved puzzle caches or challenges.
This one was a quick find after we freed the box from all the spider webs.

Second day in Rotorua. We are visiting from Toronto ON Canada to spend 25 days with our daughter who lives in Wellington NZ. We have planned a driving tour of both the north island and the south island. Quick stop at GZ. Found at 1:51 PM. Thank you GenCuster for placing and maintaining this cache.

22367 Traveling through New Zealand to see nice people and places. Also to find some geocaches.

Today we were around Rotura, seeing nice places and visiting caches along the road. Stopping at a farm. We stopped at some mystery caches we solved before.

Most caches were found quite quickly. A few took more time. Some were wet with waterproof paper, but our stamp and pen do not work that good on such paper when it is wet.

No art seen indeed. Cache was on the ground. ?!

Today we made a trip from Rotorua to Hicks Bay, thereby visiting many new sightseeing locations and looking for caches, too. On this trip we searched, found and logged a lot of caches. The weather was between bad in the morning and very good in the afternoon, colder in the morning but it got warmer in the afternoon. Funny clouds were our compagnions the whole trip.
Almost no muggels observed us as they had other things to do than observing harmless geocachers.

Thanks to GenCuster for showing us this location and for the fun we had at Art? Wherefore Art Thou? (Rotorua). The search we had here today didn't take too much time.

NZPatoto and I were going to Awakeri for the Rail Cart ride. Travelling in her motorhome we made it a 3 day weekend. With 8 caches to complete over 3 days was going to be pretty relaxing. Found 6, 1 DNF and 1 driven passed the entrance and being in a motorhome not so easy to backtrack. # 6 of 7 Found by Nahkins an easy find and had a chat to the horses that were watching. Busy road even for early morning .

Nahkins and I were going to Awakeri for the Rail Cart ride. We were on a 3 day weekend. Had 8 caches lined up for the next 3 days. Found 6, 1 DNF and 1 I had driven passed the entrance and as we were in a motorhome it was too hard to turn back. #7. Day 3. We were heading home. Another quick find. Nahkins did the honours. Nice start for the day. Didn't see any art, though. TFTC.

we are in Rotorua for a few days with my hubby's reunion and so while they talk and hear relevant speakers i am able to to go hunt for caches. I had to come up to this area to locate the challenge nearby which is a 5/5 which is my first!
the art has gone but i think.. i am sure the cache has gone also BUT i did replace it with black pill bottle and new log in the barrier so i hope that is correct. and so i have logged it as a find. thanks for this cache. and another smiley face.

Too blind to find

Picking up a few caches this afternoon and literally found this one lying on the grass where the GPS said I should be looking. Signed the log and attached it to what I assume was it's original home.

No art here unless you count the beautiful surroundings. Thankfully there was a cache.

#2295 Heading from Rotorya to Maketu, visiting from Canberra. This cache, though similar to the ones back home, are differently placed, so took a few highs and lows to find. Replaced as found. TFTC.

During a rather wet weekend in Rotorua, we got a fine spell and decided to make the most of it with a drive around the lake and a few caches to get some fresh air and stretch the legs. My vote is to keep the cache, always nice to have another quick park and grab

Quick easy find.

Tryed to find this one the last time I was coming from from work in rotorua. Now I found it, seems so simple. Log was slight damp, dryed it out and dryed out inside the cache too. TFTC

Was hoping to do a quick drive by on the way home from work but the rain gods had other plans. Will try again another day when wearing more suitable clothing.

Cache easily found thought it looks as though it has been driven over and the lid has become detached, but all is dry. No art here but I have a , many thanks

Took an afternoon drive around the lake searching for some caches along the way. Beautiful scenery and an amazing walk through the redwood forest. thanks to the COs for the variety of cache types and for bringing us to these wonderful places.

We found this one today on our drive around the lake. We've had such a lovely drive and some great walks and this has been enhanced by quite a few of your geocaches GenCuster. Thanks for the ones we've found. Seems that plenty of people are still happy to stop and log this cache so keeping it has agreed with all of them, including us. Cheers!

Last time we were in New Zealand and spend our holiday on the Northern Island – that was fantastic!
We landed in Wellington and from this great town we went through the island – we were near Mt. Taranaki, in the Tongariro Nationalpark, on Lake Taupo, in two Thermal Areas, in Rotorua, on Coromandel Peninsula, on the Bay of Islands, on the Ninety Mile Beach, in the Sand Dunes, on Cape Reinga and in Auckland.
All the time we visited there the main attractions – but we wanted to do our hobby (geocaching), too.
So we looked for the boxes next to the highways and on all the wonderful places of this very nice Island.
Here we could found the box very well, we say thanks to the owner and thanks for the cache.

A nice quick find not too much traffic today helps. Cheers.

The challenge for today is to cache a lap around Lake Rotorua. Made it pretty easily, and saw some really neat places.

After a couple of rainy days, the weather forecast for today was looking good, which was a relief as we had planned a trip to Rotorua today, regardless of the weather. Our main aim was to find the Bay of Plenty CANZ cache (mission accomplished) plus a few solved puzzles etc as well as have a look around the town. An enjoyable day, thanks to the COs for the great caches we found.

We had fun with caching few weeks here in New Zealand. Lots of geocaches and many sort of them too. We saw awesome places, weather was pretty good all the time and people were friendly and polite. Caches were pretty similar like in our home country. Of course there were some exeptions. Nice and really scenary country!

On a geoholiday road tripping to Christchurch MEGA and around beautiful New Zealand. Our four people group (temyllyl, laalaa, kapeka and myself) from Finland used group tag FIN to log the caches.

Today our trip continued from Taupo to Tauranga. Of course with some caching on the way. We had lots of fun and saw many nice places and caches. Thanks for the cache!

16th day on our geo-roadtrip in New Zealand, and caching our way towards north. Logged using our group nickname FIN with janahola, laalaa and kapeka. After having a blast in South Island and in Christchurch Mega event, we had to start heading back home. Fortunately we still had few days left to spend in NZ while driving to Auckland.
