Stretching the legs on a visit to Cobar . Thanks for the cache tnln replaced as found sl
Walking around the corner, was worried the construction may have impacted the cache, but shouldn't have worried! Easy cache on a fresh Cobar morning. TFTC!
Found with MummyPenny, who spotted the right hole, this morning. These containers can put up quite a fight against releasing the log, trapping it under their lips, and this one was a real challenge. We got there with persistence. Thanks OzFiresafe.
Out for an early morning stroll in the dark. Managed to find it. This time tomorrow it will be light. TFTC

On our redirected Dayboro Qld Mega holiday, travelling up from Melbourne, we're on day two of our stay in Cobar. Today we are on a side trip, travelling up to Bourke and back for a look around and lunch.
Up early for a walk around town, down the main street from the caravan park and back through the back streets picking this on up on the way. Luckily approaced from the correct direction for an instant find
**Thanks for placing this cache OzFiresafe**

We’re all going to Wangaratta to participate in Victoria’s next Mega!

Came back today as the rain has stopped and we have finished the trail out to Bourke. Found a container on the ground that didn’t match the description in the log we read but reading more convinced us that this could be some sort of replacement. There was no log to be seen so we added paper after we signed it, then concealed the cache where our iPad indicated GZ to be. TFTC. Kutgw
And here we are. It is 2022, and after moving my life half the world away to Australia, discovering that Geocaching there without my friends was not as fun, generally trying to survive Australian fauna and flora and finding a job, only doing Geocaching on occasion during 2019, and then the pandemic hitting in 2020 and putting almost a complete halt to all traveling and finding, plus finally coming back to Europe to try and redo my life here this year… I have decided to sit down and log online all of the records I had gathered offline during these years. Some are lost forever (don’t trust your phone for years on end with offline logs), but hopefully I will manage to recover enough logs to paint a few broad strokes of what these years were, and the places they took me to.
Apologies in advance to all owners for this (in some cases, very) delayed logging. I can only say that sometimes we are not in the best place, and it takes time to find oneself. Thanks in advance for the hides, the places you took me to, and the stories you shared in the way.
-------------
Seeing how the pandemic seems to be spiking, we decide to stay within NSW for our Xmas holidays. But as we have not gone anywhere in almost a year, we decide to take a roadtrip and get to the furthest place possible within the state (yup, northwest corner). On the way, we go through mining towns, Broken Hill, Opal towns, Celtic towns, Casino... all the way north to Byron Bay and the border with Queensland, as we hoped to cross over to Brisbane to see a friend we had not been able to visit since all of this started.
Due to the crazy raining, flash floods and a spike in the pandemic and border closures, our trip has to go through a few changes, but we end up doing enough kilometers to have travelled from the west coast of Canada to the east coast of Canada, and all within NSW!
We continue our way east/north east, avoiding road closures and giant storms.

A night cache after dinner tonight and a nice fast find
Stopped in here as part of our Great Western County Hunt. It has been a truly incredible trip, as I managed to pick up the last four counties I needed to fill in my NSW county map. A super exciting thing to complete. Thanks for enabling our crazy adventures. Thanks for the cache.

Staying in Cobar tonight so found a few caches after dinner at the pub. The 2014 Oz Mega was my first mega - I remember it well. TFTC
Don’t be put off by the fence it’s on the outside. Log book a bit tatty now and no space left. Thanks for the cache
There is a fence around this area but cache is on outside of the fence so all good. Enjoying our day around Cobar. Had dinner at the Great Western Hotel and it was great. Awesome pizzas and steak. Probably best meal we’ve had out and we’ve travelled from one side of NSW to the other and back! TFTC!!
Headed out on a 10 day trip to outback NSW with fitzy_1965 and albida33.
Day 2 saw us head from Warren to Cobar. Our main aim was to complete this AT series after which we continued to cache around Cobar. In logs we signed as MK, F65 & A33.
Quick find here today.

Day 2 - We drove from Warren to Cobar via Nyngan, finding many interesting caches, including the AT series. This was the next find of the day, and it was a quick find at GZ. Signed the log, replaced the cache, then it was off to the next one.
Thanks OzFiresafe !!

Spending a day exploring the town meant picking up a cache or 3 as we did so. This cache was a simple walk from our "digs" and was a simple find. Thanks for the hide OzFiresafe
TFTC Ozfiresafe,

Here is a blurb about us
We are trying to get a badge ,the author ,from project GC for writing found log files of 100 words or more. Once we get this badge we will stop writing this. We are also trying to get badges for adding photos to our found logs .
We started caching in December 2019 and by January 2020 we were hooked. As we are on the road full-time, living in a caravan for almost 2 years now, caching fits in well with this lifestyle. It is taking us to places that we would normally not have gone. When we move to a new place we also look at what caches are in the area and how many days we will need to be there in order to get the caches we want.
We are in Cobar for a few days and will try to get some caches in town and surrounding areas. We hope we can make a few smilies here to add to our find tally. We are looking forward to the variety of hides we will encounter. Thank you for your work in placement and ongoing effort for maintenance of caches.
Trackables that are with us are
*Worldwide traveller
*Nomads esu
*Bushie love
*Morepork
*Signal tag
*Miss jen
*Geocaching road trip 2015
*1500
*signal the surfing Aussie
Will be dropping a few of these when we find a cache that is big enough.
Our own personal Trackable " Cache the World " has the code #1WDM83
Its mission is to be discovered by cachers all around the world, please feel free to discover it and mention where you saw its code.
Once again thanks for the cache.

Time for a little trip in to the outback of New South Wales. A bit of a holiday and if you are on a holiday you cannot drive past a cache without collection some on the way. . I had my Geo Chauffer driving me around to collect some cache.
An interesting find, was not sure what to expect when pulling up. A fenced of area with nothing around. However, the cache was still there and was able to be found. I think its original spot was gone and it had been adapted to it new surrounds, well done guys.
We found the cache, signed the log, replaced it back in its little hiddy hole, then on with our adventure to find the next one. Now we have logged it.
Thanks for placing the cache her guys. LilDonna

Found on a morning walk in cobar while seeing my parents for a few days while on our lap of Aust. Cache and log in good condition. Thanks for the cache
TFTC. We are camped in Cobar for a day or to. Today is my Birthday . What better way to celebrate than to find a cache or 20. Doing what we love doing, traveling and using geocaching as a travel guide. Thanks to the COs for maintaining these caches for our enjoyment.
We found most of them reasonably quickly.

TFTC ozfiresafe. We needed a quick one in Cobar before travelling back home to Geraldton WA and this was it. SL.
Day 2 of our journey to QOGM in Blackall, Qld.
Who would've thought that when we married 40 years ago, we would be spending our anniversary caching our way to Qld, but that is what we are doing.
Decided to do some of this power trail today before heading north tomorrow.

TFTC. Log was missing so I placed a piece of paper inside and hid again behind the rock
We found the discarded cache and replaced it behind the rock. The log has been stolen again. Tftc.
Searched all round and in all the hidey holes in the object at GZ , but all we found was an empty mint tin, so we dropped a new log in signed and placed under a rock at GZ

Another great day with Pa as my chauffeur. Staying in Cobar again in order to get lots more smilies after attending the inaugural QOGM (Queensland Outback Geo Muster) in Barcaldine. All the caches were found, some faster than others, some in better condition than others and some closer to their GZ than others.
A huge thanks to the COs, their maintenance providers and the other cachers who provide maintenance eg Maccamob, Cybergran V and Felix. Apologies to all those not named.
All logs were returned to their hidey holes after my name had been added to the log, although sometimes it was SG if that was more appropriate.

Found today on our way south from QOGM at Barcaldine, signed log and replaced. Thanks to honeysucker. Many of this series needs some maintenance, it's great to see that someone has put some replaced the logs and containers out. The area needs a CITO badly, shame we didn't have time to clean it up.
TFTC,
Today was an easy drive from the Queensland border to Cobar and collecting a few caches. After leaving the van at a Caravan Park it was time to head out and get a few more of the Power trail caches. Still need to do about 20 tomorrow to complete the series.
Visited trackables.

Traveling home via Snowtown, Broken Hill, Cobar, Dubbo, Forbes, West Wyalong &Temora, finding a good variety of cache types and hides. I visited some interesting historical towns and bush locations, which made the round trip well worth the drive.
I did as much maintenance as I could, replacing damaged containers and full or wet logs.
Signed and replaced.
Many thanks for placing this cache, OzFiresafe, for us and others to find.
