### **OWNER MAINTENANCE REQUIRED PLEASE** ###

Hi there Sportacuss,
This cache has been flagged by Geocaching HQ as a cache that **MAY** need some attention.
You may recall having received an automated email from Geocaching HQ which explained what you needed to do.
Unfortunately, nothing seems to have happened, so the cache is being temporarily disable - see here: [**Geocache Health Score.**](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=713)
**You do need to respond to this enquiry in some way within 14 days, so others know you are on top of it, as well as indicating exactly what is happening with this placement - please don't let a lack of communication scuttle this listing.**
#What should you do now:-#
You have a number of choices so pick the one that applies from this handy list:-
- **Check On The Cache:-** Visit the cache to check, repair, replace or do whatever else is needed, post an [**Owner Maintenance log**](http://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=404) indicating the cache has been checked and [**ENABLE your cache.**](https://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=235 ) Then sit back and wait for the logs of praise to roll in.
- **Place A Write Note Log:-** Reviewers are not mind readers (more's the pity), so without your note on the cache page explaining that the site works are on-going, you have been in hospital, the area is in flood, or some other reason that has prevented attending to the cache, they can't tell what is going on.
You need to post a note to the page (within 14 days) explaining the situation and when a Reviewer next looks at the listing, all will be fine for a little bit longer.
Be sure to indicate **the actual date that you expect to have it fixed** so that everyone knows you are on top of it. If you have a long term unavailable cache (where you don't have an actual date) please **post a Write Note log every 4 to 6 weeks,** so as to keep everyone up to speed.
- **Adopt/Archive:-** If you don't plan on fixing it then you could consider passing it on to another Geocacher by asking them to [**Adopt it**](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=54) or alternatively, you need to [**Archive it,**](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=56) so it is removed from searches and someone else can have the spot. Don't forget to remove any remnants of your previously enjoyed cache too.
You might wonder what happens if you don't pick one of the above. Well, when the cache is next checked by a Reviewer, if the issue has not been addressed, or there is no acknowledgment as requested above, it will be assumed the cache has been abandoned and processed accordingly.
Honestly, it's better for you to decide, so please do something before then. Please don't send me an email but instead follow the information/advice posted above.
Thanks for your cooperation,
Bunjil

The river is so swollen that the tree was 10 metres from dry land. With a boat, some ropes and a bit of time it would be a fun operation, but I didn't have any of those. A wonderful tree though.
GT37 and I ventured out hoping that the rain would hold off for long enough for us to grab some caches. The title of this had us curious so here we are. Nice quick find was made. Thank you for placing this cache for us to find.
With a name like this, this was a must. Nice easy retrieval. Tried to take a decent photo but it just didn't do the tree justice. Thanks for the cache that brought us here.

Out for a day to Finley and Tocumwal with my geosister from the UK - visiting an old (ok, younger than me ... a long time, a very long time) friend - and a chance to pick up an LGA smilie that I don't have. After a fabulous lunch at the Bushland Cafe, we took Suzee the Suzuki along the well groomed (ha) track in to this spot. And wow - what a gorgeous tree. Quick find (on the ground - but replaced as per hint), and then some more time admiring this beauty. Thanks for bringing me here to see this - and thankyou for the extra mile of information on how old this tree might be. Much appreciated.
Thanks Bubble'O.Bill for entertaining me at this location.

Out from the UK visiting family and over in Finley today catching up with an old friend. We ended up in Tocumwal for lunch at a fab little bushland cafe and big brother Pprime needed a cache in the shire and spotted this one that looked interesting.
So after lunch we headed down here. And WOW, just WOW. I have never seen anything like this tree, it is amazing, absolutely spectacular. So glad this cache has brought us here to a quirky thing like this that we would never find normally. After duly enjoying this tree we looked for the cache. Found it on the ground so signed log and replaced it back as per hint.
Thanks for placing this cache for us to find!!!

Whilst camped nearby at Mywee with The4wdShed we thought we'd go for a drive to grab some caches This was a quick easy find. Nice hide. Thanks.
Lovely little camp spot along the river, there were some muggles about who were gracious as we found this in the middle of their camp! Tftc
Now the game golf is over off to pick up a couple caches in the area. Made a quick find, stamped log and replaced. Thanks to Sportacuss.
A great tree.
A great tree.
TFTC,
We have been in the area for a week with Nana nel's Thursday social golf group and taken some time to get a few caches. Today is special as we needed 5 founds to meet the requirements of the personal challenge we are doing to lift our finds on every day to 10.
Love what rhis game can show you.
Added a favourite and visited trackables.

Oh wow! What a magnificent tree. This cache was so worth finding to see that giant.
Thank you Bubble’O.Bill.
Thank you Bubble’O.Bill.
Agree with previous DNF cacher, remants of cache in area, but no cache to be found.
Based on previous logs decided to replace cache with what we had available in car at the time.
It wasn't there when I looked on the 28th....
But seems like someone has since done a throw down. Might need a proper replacement from the CO.

I am very glad I stopped. Watching the sin rise over the gum trees. And this magnificent specimens of a tree!!!

Ha so I live in town and that area is one of my favourite places to take walks and I've walked it a bunch and only found it today! Ha dropped a old 2 cent coin in there (don't ask why I had that on me because I don't know) but it definitely got me excited to find more and I love that tree even more everytime I see it.
High but not to high so that it was impossible overall easy find but big drive/walk
The three of us are staying in Wangaratta to visit family. Mr Tardis went out today to find a few specifically targeted caches, and this was one of them. A great place for a cache, and a truly magnificent tree - I hope it lives for hundreds more years.
Signed the log. Thanks for the cache Bubble 'O .Bill.

Wow! That's some impressive tree! Great DT for this cache but a much greater tree... loved it!
Trip log... GreyHams log says it best, in all its glorious detail... so it really is, 'What he said!'
With GreyHams we set out for another chapter of our caching challenge... To find all the counties in NSW. We flew into Adelaide early Friday morning with a return plane from Melbourne Monday night. Taking advantage of some super cheap car hire driving one way from Adelaide to Melbourne. Of course, as a four day road trip it leads into collecting as many counties as was possible as we pass through SA and Victoria as well, with a few side trips for those that were close enough.
The counties a high priority but many caches of interest, the oldies are always great, about 16 2001 caches found plus many others just as old. Web Cams, virtuals, great DT which would see us complete our fifth loop of the DT grid, large caches and lots of regular sizes too. The trip list also included a cache type of each we were missing for each state as well.
Simply, if we stopped for a cache that had made it onto the list, it was not just any random cache, it was selected for a quality of some type we were seeking.
One of the harder things about caching after flying somewhere is that all the TOTT are left behind...usually! So it just had to be done and we took an esky with us on the plane for all those fabulous cold drinks along the way.
The thing I love the most is that we also took a ladder with us on the plane too!
We had targeted the 'on your bike' wherigo series, so many puzzles, so many hours of them so the ladder was important if we wanted to find all the high DT, up the tree caches... which we did! Later in Ballarat we went 'above and beyond' with the ladder once again. A truly essential item to have, we may now need to invest in that inflatable Kayak for future adventures too!
Perhaps it must be said that our route was the least direct way we could have traveled via the Hay Plains and Griffith, but covered a lot of road, counties and locations leading to yet another great trip. Although a number of park and grabs, made closer by our reliable and tough SUV, we also managed a lot of walks, hills, bush, and just a great variety as we explored the different areas.
We crossed the Murray river many times, a lovely healthy looking river system. After our recent trip from Adelaide to Sydney, via Broken Hill and Bourke the dry rivers out there are a very sad sight compared with the Murray.
With so much achieved that we had set out for it was a very successful trip but also an enjoyable one with many memories made and a new batch of stories too! Thanks to all the CO's for there caches that lead us in our travels.

This is one of the most impressive trees I have ever seen, and I have touched redwoods! Fave point

Aquilus1 and myself are on a mission.... to collect all of the counties in NSW! but how to get to those 'hard to reach' ones from where we are in Canberra? It would be an awfully long round trip. The answer was supplied in the super cheap car rental deals available if you drive one-way from Adelaide to either Sydney or Melbourne... I guess too many cars do it the other way and the cars need to get back somehow. Flying to ADL on points meant fuel was by far the biggest transport cost we paid for.
This trip is actually trip number two.... to drive from ADL to MEL, via Hay & Griffith! Yeah, thats logical! It was fun explaining where we were going to people, we got a lot of strange looks. The first trip was ADL to SYD, via Bourke. The bonus of course is we have also cleaned up a lot of SA & VIC counties as well.
OK, so primary goal is counties but we of course had 5 or 6 goals. Oldies was definitely a priority, I think we picked up 16 hides from 2001 on the trip along with lots of 2002-2006's. D/T of course is never overlooked and we did well there, I think we will almost complete our fifth loop from this trip. Webcams, Virtuals and Wherigo's were all targetted and finally getting all cache types in each state.
Day 1 was us arriving in ADL at sparrows, with a ladder and esky that we checked in and driving as far as Barmera. We cleaned up the 'On Your Bike' series where the ladder really fulfilled its purpose (I never want to see another online jigsaw again!) and even stopped to grab the LBH on the way out.... after 9:30pm, and after I attacked the dirt road with my body and left a lot of skin on it. Note to self: dont lunge at dirt roads! Luckily the hotel in town was open and we obtained fine lodgings. The floor creaked when I looked at it, or breathed, or changed my mind, but the bed was the finest.
Day 2 was driving to Hay, apparently on their biggest day of the year! No motel had rooms but luckily the new hotel that was supposed to open next week was forced into opening on the very day we arrived.... I like fresh sheets but how about a bed that has never been slept in! The crossed the Murray about 5 times and it was always impressive. We saw the country side change hugely from Rivers, Mallee and the Hay plain.
Day 3 was going from Hay, around Griffith and actually turning south towards Melbourne.... it felt like a long way! We cleaned up a bunch of the counties, in fact all of them, west of and including Naranderra. My map on Project-GC is going to look so green! We got as far as the outskirts of Bendigo, stopping at the first Motel we saw.... it was better than it looked!
Day 4 was getting to the airport, which we did with heaps of time to spare. Checkin closed a huge 18 minutes after our arrival. Damn, we could have grabbed another cache in that time. Ladder back in its box and checked in. I love the fact we took our own ladder!
Now safely back at home I am already suffering from caffeine withdrawal, but thats the price you pay for living on Coke for 4 days.
Sorry for the long generic log, but it was a fun trip and I wanted to share.

Found this geocache accidentally so we decided to get the app and hunt on purpose! TFTC!
Found by Peter and Marian at 1238hrs. A nice stroll from Tocumwal, lovely old tree, TNLN TFTC.
I must say that is a BIG tree! Scratched around in the hole for several minutes without success. Was prepared to log a DNF when I spotted a likely container sitting on the very large fallen limb next to the tree. Thankfully it was the cache, and everything in it seems ok. Signed log (no pun here) and returned it to the hole, with some camo that might help.
Great location for fishing here too.

Fabulous tree, which we took a photo of as we approached GZ. SL at 12.16pm Enjoyed our walk to the cache. #6298 TFTC Bubble’O.Bill and for showing us this beauty. Time to take a break for lunch as the rain has started in earnest now.
Found by Sunshine Toledo at 5:00pm. The cache was found quickly. What a tree. It is huge.

While camping at Carters Beach for the Vic Sidecar Rally, I went out and found some caches. This was one of them. Thanks for taking me to some new locations. It's a very pretty area.
After a vehicle breakdown on my way back to Victoria, I had a few hours in Tocumwal to fill in while my vehicle was repaired. A stroll along the levee bank next to the Murray river took me to a few caches while waiting.
A quick find of this cache allowed some time to take in the sights and sounds of the area.
Thanks Bubble O'Bill for placing this cache.

The name sounded interesting and with dry conditions and a vehicle with some clearance we headed over the bank and along the track. The tree and the memorial were soon spotted and on following the hint a bit of camo was moved and the hide found. TFTC.
Not knowing the roads here and how solid they are after rain we chose to park out on the street and walk to the cache. What a top place this is, the plaque at the base of the tree has you asking what happened to such a young man. SL TFTC
Away for a few days caching and trying out some rough camping in a swag and OZREG's newly decked out 4WD ute. With no set plan but taking the opportunity to grab a few finds along the way as we weaved our way down the back tracks, heading down the great Murray River. Enjoyed the drive down the river and taking a few diversions along the way. Interesting to see the different agriculture, crops and landscapes along the way but if it wasn't for the river, it would be a very different story, as it is in the dry areas, further a field. We made some great discoveries, clever hides and generally enjoyed the caches we found, which took us to some interesting places, that we wouldn't probably see if it wasn't for caching. We had a few good laughs along the way.
Made our way into this one, only to find a few people fishing in the area. What an amazing tree this is and a lovely location to boot. After a bit of a scout about and chatting with the visitors, we explained what we were upto and explained/showed them the hide. I think we have converted yet another lot of muggles to this addictive hobby. Found and signed log, returning it to it's hide. There was a sad memorial plague, which is a sobbering reminder of the dangers of the river. Visited some travel bugs and given a fav for bringing us here to this lovely location.
Thanks Sportacuss for placing the cache for us to find and doing the maintenance to keep it in play.

Some usual explaining of geocaching to some locals. A fav added here.
Apology for generic log. With approx 70 Caches to log and not recalling details of many, the most important point I must stress is................. THANKS ALL CACHE OWNERS for their efforts, because if not for you, so many wonderful places would not have been encountered to appreciate. Our fantastic time would not have been either.
Happy Feet 1 and I had a wonderful 3 days (Oct 5-7) cache trekking around the Murray Region from Howlong to almost Barmah.
HF1 with her skills, dedication, and helpful retrieving devices made a significant addition to my cache tally.
I felt like a circus act a few times.
Despite us both having a conflicting trait or two, we thoroughly enjoyed each others company and had quite the success we were aiming for.
Even catching out a member not being truthful or honest to himself or others in regards to caching etiquette.
The period of camping certainly helped in defining all the areas of my camping vehicle that needed modifying or improving upon. Having the annex fall upon my companion was not something I was proud of. Pheeew!! No harm done.
Again, thanks to CO's.

Catching up on some belated logging this morning. Wow, what a spectacular tree! This is one of those gems that I wouldn't have known about if it wasn't for caching. The cache is in good condition. Thanks for bringing me here!

2 DNFs and 8 finds and 1 attended for a day trip to Echuca area with Cybergran V [^]
We bounced on dirt roads, got into places that Cybergran V didn't think we would, we saw heaps of Siberian Huskies and Alaskan Malamutes at a camping area where they were training the dogs
We finally found a multi cache near Echuica that's bugged me for ages [^] and while doing so showed a dog walking muggle what geocaching is all about too
The day ended with a great catch up with Bec & Gemma at the pub tea
As I am about 8 months behind in logging, I'm resorting to template logs to catch up.
My heartfelt thanks to the COs who have placed some tricky, funny, exercise required, scary, interesting and devious caches in some amazing spots! [^]
Rex and I have had some amazing adventures and enjoyed some incredible moments thanks to this fantastic hobby

This was my second visit to this magnificent old tree.
This time we replaced the cache with permission.
It would have been a shame to have seen this old cache archived.
Such an amazing tree, most deserving of having a cache here, otherwise people may never know of its existence.
Hopefully the cache will not disappear this time.
Thanks to locus cache for bringing me here, and providing the new cache and logbook.

We were attracted to this cache by the name of the cache. We were suitably amazed and astounded with the tree when we got to it. It is truly a magnificent tree which I feel should be protected from cars driving around it. Unfortunately three of us searched every niche within 3m height and a little higher. , so it was a sad DNF for us here today.
Had a good look around, checked the blach hole in the tree where a previous cacher mentioned but no luck here for us.
Thanks
Thanks
What a great spot, but you did'nt have to hand me the cache , although it was appreciated. Found it out of its hole on the grass now back in a hole on riverside, maybe a new one.TFTC
Out n about with AESPL. Early start so went bush bashing. Huge tree. Cache out of place just lying out in the open. Put back in hole. TFTC.
I have replaced this cache and have notified Blacklegend of this.

Unfortunately we think this cache has been washed away after last years floods. But a great evening walk from the old bridge
Well I think I could have found this one, but as I walked from the town centre to get here I was unable to carry a boat of any kind to get it, the recent floods have put the tree about 15-20 meters into the river.
Thank you anyway Spoetacuss for the hide.

What an amazing tree. We hunted high and low without any success. The hint seemed to lead us to a likely spot but we came up empty handed.
The last day of our 2 week holiday and we decided to head back to Tocumwal and do some caches along the way. As we were not sure how our 2WD would go on the trip in, we made the short picturesque walk to GZ. It was a relatively easy retrieval for Mr Pooky. A beautiful spot beside the Murray River, we will have to come back again soon. TFTC and bringing us to this great spot. TNLN.
GT02 and I came out for this cache as it was a good DT and a great cache. We weren't disappointed. Great old tree. Even found a Koala watching us. Thanks Bubble'O.Bill for the cache.
Was a good cache, didn't have to climb high to get it, which was good for me because I don't like heights! Was just sitting in the tree!
Third cache for the day successful with the cousins lots of muggles but mums distracted them. High in the tree.
I parked the geomobile at the end of the nearby road and set off on foot for the short stroll along the muddy track to GZ
Easy peasy terrain 4 cache this one [:o]
And after the short, muddy stroll, I soon had a cache in paw
TFTC !!
Nice tree by the way [^]
Aint too many of these left by the river these days

Walk the dogs down here everyday, so I'm very excited to have found it! Easy find... bring a small trinket!
Walked here with Shadow the geodog from the Old Railway Bridge, but I could have got the 2WD in here if I had to. What a massive tree, and still looks in pretty good condition.

TFTC. Two wheel drive OK today. Picturesque and wonderful bird sounds. This tree is massive.
Wow we were expecting a big tree, but not this. Amazing!!
Yet another place we would never have known about if it wasn't for caching.
Looks like a real nice fishing spot too - we have locked this into the memory banks.
Thank you so much Sportacuss, for bringing us here.

Travelling around Australia in our Caravan with our cat.
Making our way south to Melbourne now, it's amazing seeing all the other travellers heading north! Are we heading the wrong way
Currently staying at Apex Beach we headed out today to see what the surrounding areas have to offer!
Wow what a monster! Great spot for a cache.

Omg, this is one of the most amazing trees I've seen. Really beautiful. Probably lot of trees like this before white settlers came, but this tree survived because it was twisted and to hard to get good lumber out of.
Thanks for taking us here.
