The area where the cache was hidden has been fenced off to keep people from destroying the area and dumping rubbish. Time to let the area be in it's natural state again.
A nice quiet day and a nice quick find. Forgot a pen so have taken a photo of the lig book. TFTC
A cheeky find early in the morning after a quick mess about in the surf. Luckily i was here esrly enough that parking wasnt an issue. It took me a minute to find my left thong getting out of the car, and the hunt for the container took less than that once i had that sorted.
Cheers for placing one down here Perusal.

It was a busy area today and finding a carpark was a challenge.
On our third attempt a local surfer thankfully had had enough so we were able to take there spot when they left.
We found this one easy then continued onto the beach towards another cache up by the lake.

First cache of the day on our drive around the tourist trails. Favorite point for the container.
Staying in Byron Bay and felt like going for a hike and grabbing a cache. Thanks for bringing me to this beautiful spot!! TFTC!!
Took another trip today as I am filling my dates calendar, wow it was hard to get a car park, but we ventured into the bush a little way and no one saw us grab a cute little birdie so we could get a smilie. TFTC
That was funnnnnn! First interstate cache and first trackable!!!!! Whoop whoop!!!

I had headed off on a road trip to the Gold Coast and on the way, my number one mission to find Wherigo caches as well as a few other awesome caches and some other random caches along the way.
I went on a slight detour to Byron Bay and this one was on the way.
I continued a bit further along the road to this one, parked the car and strolled over to GZ and I was able to make a quick find.
**Thanks to Perusal for placing this cache.**

10.30 hrs .. Well no real problem this great little cache !!! ( A lot of surfing muggles roaming, to and from, back and forth ,dressing /undressing etc ..but all was aok!! but thanks Perusal....
Cute container in a lovely part of the world. We even spied a turtle crossing the road on route here.
T4TC Perusal!

Walked around for a while, tree canopy played havoc with the GPS. Eventually located something that looked out of place. TFTC
After a short bush bashing walk - should have come in on the track I soon spotted something out of the ordinary. TFTC.
Cute container. Love how the notebook is also a "quill" which ties into the burd theme.

Found whilst on a Road Trip with Chip and Juno from home (Wollongong) to Chip's Mum's home (Mullumbimby).
Despite many, many muggles today we managed to be sneaky and still find the cache.
Cheers

Loaded up the geowagon for a days caching in the rain. Found this one as described. Great container. TFTC. WATCH FOR MUGGLES.
Here I am, caching internationally on International Geocaching Day Found this little bird easily and then moseyed down to the beach to enviously watch the surfers catch ankle-snapping waves. This is a stunningly beautiful beach stretching all the way north to the lighthouse point at Byron Bay. Magic, pure magic. TFTC and thanks for bringing me here!
We pulled in here looking for a spot for a late picnic lunch and ended up in the reserve where we found we needed to pay a $4/hr day use fee. So I popped a couple of coins in the meter and we had lunch first, then went and found the cache - love the embellishment of the container, probably overstaying our paid for time by several minutes. But it wasn't really conducive to sticking around and exploring more.
I can see pros and cons for a user pays experience, but I wondered if the fees would provide any extra services to the area - the park was more or less the same as every other picnic ground along the eastern seaboard. There was no bin in the park but may have been one closer to the camping ground - although we tend to take our rubbish home with us anyway. We could not see any signs of obvious vegetation rehabilitation. I just hoped it wasn't merely a money grab by National Parks and Wildlife.
Please don't see this as criticism of the cache - it is truly a lovely cache and had we parked closer - not in the reserve area, we could have parked for free (I think). Perhaps next time we will get a park there and have a better chance to explore. Thanks for the cache.

During our wonderful holiday in Australia we found this cache together with Mowgli.

Found while getting our night driving hours up as we have two kids that need the time. So it was a great idea to chase caches of a night time as it gives them good experience
Found on a weekend away to celebrate DisSister's birthday. It seems every family in Australia had a similar idea and they were ALL here in their cars and caravans. We ended up getting our driver to go and do a loop while we searched for the cache, happily finding it pretty quickly. Cute decoration. TFTC, Perusal. =^.^=
OMG! I don't think I've seen so much traffic trying to find a parking spot. It was chaotic probably due to it being a long weekend. cache was eventually found, signed and replaced. Thanks Perusal.
Exploring the area on a birthday trip away for the long weekend. Parking was a nightmare here so we employed the old jump out and find the cache while leaving the driver to turn the car around and prop in the middle of the road technique. It was successful. Cache was found safe and dry. TFTC, Perusal.

After an early morning wake up and a coffee watching the sunrise, I knew I couldn't go back to sleep so why go get some nearby caches I say to myself..
Heading quickly to the scene I pull just as a 4wd pulls up with some guys getting ready to hit the surf.. I head to gz and had the cache in my hand before they even realised what I was doing..
Thanks for the quick find Perusal.

Out and about today heading south to an event at Lismore tonight.
So I thought I would set off a little early and find a few caches on the way.
A quick find here today and all good after the weather from the last few days.

Find No: 4460. Visiting from Newcastle, on the way home after the Mega at Stanthorpe, staying at Brooklet for a 40th birthday celebration, love the area, TFTC Perusal!!
cache find #3805. Out and about for day of geocaching with Diamonjs. We noted how high the surf was, and wondered if we were going to be able to get a parking spot. Luckily for us we did, and then the short walk to GZ. The cache was located quickly. Clever cache container. TFTC.
Out and about with Gullivers Travels54 for a day of caching, this was first on the list and what a cute container. TFTC
Taking a few days to get home after the Mega, the mini rats and rats did a bit caching along the way. This cache plus a few others we found while in the area.
After a few hours in Byron we headed out here where we found this cute bird tucked away well.
Thanks

The mega is over and its time to go home so doing a few caches on the way, thanks to all the CO's who helped make this event possible
Number four for me today. Renroc's knee had had enough, but she found this one a while ago anyway. No one else had been here since then. Cute container again. What a creative mob these cachers are! TFTC
After getting a FTF on the new cache nearby I wandered down to collect this before heading home. It was a quick find. Signed the log and then spent some time close by taking photos of the mossy bark and beautiful dappled light.
Thanks for bringing me to this spot. I will be back for more photography.

Another wonderful cache box! Still getting used to spiderwebs, but otherwise easy.
Our family holiday at Coolangatta is over and I'm driving back down the coast on my own as the geo-widow had to fly back to Sydney to fulfil work commitments. What that means is I can do a bit more geocaching along the way than I would have otherwise have been able to do.
I wasn't intending to divert from the main road today but after enjoying the Perusal cache further up the road, I decided it would probably be worth my time to venture down to this one. And it was! A liked the cutely camoed cache and that it turned out to be a quick and easy find.
Thanks for another enjoyable cache Perusal. If I'd had moire time, I would have even been tempted to do your other 2 around here.

Indeed the birds will talk to us if we make the time to spend with them. This is a magic area of NE NSW and I had a great time travelling through with the Cache Owner. We had a good day for our drive, and I love it when I can find a string of caches without any trouble

Being holiday season felt uncomfortable in here so gave up after about 10minutes. A useful hint would be great not bottom of tree in a friggin woodland.
I checked on this one this afternoon. It's in the exact place that it has always been. Quite a common hint and it is not a heavily wooded area.
Was driving around here looking for a place to camp the night but ended up finding this cache and having to sleep in the car nearby
Interesting container in a beautiful location.

QUick find on our way to find a campsite. Ended up sleeping in the car as there were too many rude signs with big red crosses over tents. TFTC!!
Spent about 15 minutes looking when something shiny caught one members eye and scared the snot out of them thinking it was a snake. However after some more poking around it turned out that it was the cache that had a shine on it. Thanks Perusal
I sat in the car and watched Mr LHE duo look for this one. Eventually I decided he needed help. As soon as I was on the scene he found it just where he had previously looked. Another great Perusal cache. TFTC
After picking up “Sands of Time”, I drove on to attempt this one. I found the cache after a brief search witnessed by a couple of inquisitive Brush Turkeys.
It’s a nicely designed container, thanks again Perusal.

Tftc. Did not sign cause I didn't have a pen. Plenty of fantastic wildlife around.
Bird encounter indeed. I was setting up my lego props for a great shot after signing the log when i was chased off by a red headed feathered beastie. Or maybe he/she just wanted my lego...
Drew a hearty laugh from the better half who was sitting in the car.

Another quick find with the help of the hint. Nice container - my sister thought it was real at first
A quick stop and headed to GZ.
Found the cache.
Another lovely find.

We came down to Byron Bay for the weekend to celebrate our wedding anniversary and of course we just had to find a few caches while we were here. This was a very busy place, so we were lucky to get a car park. Once at GZ we were able to make a quick find. TNLNSL TFTC
A really exciting ride on my mountain bike down from Perusal's Sands of Time cache. Went way past GZ initially; it's hard, if not to say foolish, to use a GPSr on a bike. Backtracked to the car park near the coordinates and there are many surfing types getting dressed and undressed from the backs of cars. A little distracting, but they are definitely not interested in an aging geocacher on a push bike.
In the vegetation the GPSr gave up, but the cache was soon in hand except that I very nearly dropped it when I saw its companion sitting on top! Very creative, Perusal, thanks so much. Took nothing and left nothing, but signed the log.
On and up to Let's go fishing!!

With an additional hint from the CO, I breezed right up to the cache and grabbed it immediately So enjoyable after my DNF! The hide is just a fraction beyond the search radius of my last attempt.
I did a favour for the CO so she repaid me with hints on my recent DNFs... Good karma! Thanks Perusal.
