I am regretfully archiving this cache since there's been no response from nor action by the cache owner within the time frame requested in the last reviewer note.

Hi tracka nz

As there has been no owner response to my previous Reviewer Note and your geocache was replaced by another player, I have disabled the cache.

Its future depends on your decision. In case you'd like to keep maintaining it, please:

* check the replacement cache whether it is hidden as you expect / properly
* make sure all details on the cache page are in line with current reality (esp. coordinates, size, hint, difficulty, terrain ratings, etc.)
* post [Owner Maintenance log](http://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=404), to let players know you checked and fixed everything
* post [Enable listing log](http://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=235), so the cache page becomes active again

In case you don't wish to take care about this cache any longer, then please [archive it](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=56), or find new owner and [adopt it](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=54).

You might wonder what happens if you don't pick one of these options. Well, if nothing happens, then a few weeks from today, when I get back to this cache page again, it is likely that I will, unfortunately, have to archive it on the basis that it has been abandoned. Honestly, I'd rather let you decide - so please, do something before then.

Please, don't send me an email but instead, follow the advice posted above.

Thank you for your understanding and care!

As this cache has been missing for sometime it would be a shame for it to be archived so as we were coming along this road today I brought a replacement with us. We had a good search first at all the obvious places but my gps was very jumpy. We hid new one where we hopefully think it should be. Next person feel free to move it if you have better gps than me. TFTC

29-Dec-20
As others before me have mentioned we too had no luck finding this cache today.

I hadn’t checked the previous logs before arriving so decided to give it a go anyway.

The GPSr kept taking us to one tree however with the odd bits of litter around I can’t help but feel someone may have picked it up.

This geocacher reported that there is a problem with this cache.

01-Dec-20
The Otumaire Camp site was deserted. So no problem with stopping and searching. Looked around several hint objects and located a likely spot ... but sadly no cache.

27-Sep-20
No luck here but did find an awesome goats skull. We'll be back again soon to have another search

18-Aug-20
Searched for quite a while here as it will be a time time before I'm back in the area but came up empty-handed.

First trip out since lockdown. Lovely day to drive the Whanganui Raetahi loop. Cache was very wet. Picked up a trackable to move it on. Thanks.

11-Jul-20
Had a quick visit to geocach and droped off a trackable

31-May-20
We drove from Whanganui to Pipiriki today and took the jet boat (Whanganui River Adventures) upriver before walking through the bush to The Bridge to Nowhere – an excursion I’d highly recommend! Located six caches on the way to Pipiriki and back again. This was the first of them. Took a few moments to find as I couldn’t quite work out where exactly the coords were directing me. The hint in the previous log was very helpful. #3272. TFTC.

21-Mar-20
I was a little confused with the hint as 2 posts are now missing, but if you go into the bush behind the table/seat - you should hit the mark with ease, thanks for the placement and the nicely sized cache. - last cache for the day now for home

08-Mar-20
Had a free day from work so was able to wander a bit further from Whanganui. Enjoyed driving up here and had three swims as it was such a hot day. Followed the hint although I think the original 3 & 4 posts have gone. Still with a bit of guesstimate it didn’t take long before we were signing the log. This was on our way back and the final swim for the day. Thanks

Mrs.K. wanted to bird along this road and I was pleased as I knew there were a few caches and after reading the description we could camp here too . The cache took a bit of finding as I had looked at the hint and I think some of the posts are missing perhaps it should be TWO posts now
The gps co-ords were spot on and the container was covered in caked on sand.
The logsheet was still writable so I Signed logsheet kingfisherau 5:00 pm 24/10/18 and replaced all as found,

There have been a number of new caches published in Whanganui lately which warranted me spending the day there to see if I could collect them and others that either I haven't looked for before or have eluded me in the past.

I decided to head up River Road for the Earthcache and these two trads. I think this was pure luck to find, as the GPS was stuck on bounce mode. It was definitely pure luck not to step in the huge poo nearby. TFTC

On the road for our first venture into the North Island with our little caravan to explore this part of the country. It is not a caching expedition as such, but we do manage to stop for one or two . We’ve been on the road now for 38 days since arriving in Wellington and are now on stage 2 of our trip – ‘The Crossing’ – from the East coast to the West coast. We arrived in New Plymouth, via the Forgotten World Highway from Taumaranui, Rotorua, and Whakatane. Stage 1 was the East Coast, Gisborne, Mahia, Wairoa, Napier, Cape Kidnappers, the Wairarapa, Cape Turnagain and Cape Palliser. We’ve had a variety of weathers, but mostly ‘good’, although a few days have been a bit , Hola was a somewhat of a ‘no show’, thank goodness. We have already seen and discovered lots of interesting things about our country that are new to us. Our travels lead us to your cache, as we travelled across the island, many thanks, tracka nz, for bringing us here. We’ve had great fun so far and look forward to finding a couple more caches as we travel on our way. TFTC.

After the trip up the Skyline track to do the earthcache in very hot conditions this was far easier (in the car). A helpful hint and great co-ords soon had the cache in hand. Tftc

Ohakune to Whanganui, via Raetihi, Pipiriki and the river road. Picking up caches as we went. This being one of those - actually the last find we made before heading into Whanganui.
I visited here with team cacher zboy wonder.
We made a straightforward find on this one.
All in order, log signed and cache re-hidden safely, just as found.

Together with the Rattenfanger we have been traveling through New Zealand for 6 weeks. We have rented a camper and have been on both islands. Besides the amazing nature that we saw in New Zealand, we also had to geocache.

From Pipiriki we have taken the river road. At first this was not the plan but we heard from people on the road that it was worth it. And it certainly was. We really enjoyed this beautiful road and stopped occasionally for the beautiful view and of course for a cache.

Thanks for the cache!

A twelve and a half hour road trip from New Plymouth down to Whanganui then up to Pipiriki, across to Raetihi then up to Taumarunui, and back to New Plymouth via Piopio. Eighteen caches in all; not a huge number but we were after interesting places to visit rather than lots of finds.

We picked up a few outstanding local caches, then stopped for lunch at a nice little café in Whanganui before carrying on up the River Road.

This was number ten for the day, and our 600th in total. The site is still pretty muddy, but it was dry enough to walk on - just- when we visited. We got our bearings as per the hint and I worked my way downhill and came up again, and soon found a nice hiding spot.

A nice find of a travel bug for our milestone, so picked that up and dropped of one that we had. A wee fishy, just in case the river rises again.

Thanks for the cache.

Have now replaced the cach with a new log book and a few more goody's for any swaps that any one mite like to do when they find this cach.
Area is still very muddy with work still being done on the Wanganui river road but heres hoping the cach will stay intact for a bit longer.
Happy Caching every one,Get out there and find them.

A weekend road trip of epic proportions. Gap (of Fap and Gap) and I plan to carve our way through the Waikato, Manawatu-Wanganui and Taranaki Regions while collecting an assortment of caches for various challenges we are working on. Should be a fun excursion...

The hint made short work of this cache. There were muggles on either side, with one pair being too close for comfort. We quickly signed off in the bush before creating a diversion... Thanks to the tui in the kowhai. What a pleasant stop off point on a winding, narrow road. TFTC.

Another weekend caching with Squirrel Nutcase, due to the kilometres we are travelling this time a over night stop in Stratford was needed. Number off D/T Ratings and old caches was our mission.

1.30pm - Great spot, 2 German cyclists on tandem bike heading up river and kiwi couple drinking wine and beer. I spoke to them as the Squirrel retrieved the cache. SLTFTC

August dot day and hunting those elusive last couple of souvenirs and therefore achieve the seventh. On an afternoon caching trip with tommy gun 9, spud nz and hunter hillson and the weather was the usual story, four seasons in one day, or everywhere you go you always take the weather with you. Luckily the rain held off and we were able to find all of our successful cache finds in dry and pleasant weather, for Winter anyway.
No problems with this find today, D O C were there attending to the water tap, it was O K just before that when we got a drink ready for Horace the Horse later today. Paced out the required amount and the cache was soon in hand for passing around and the necessary signing duties

Started with this one by following various GPSs before we decided to get back out of the tree cover and have another attempt. While Capperz paced it out I estimated where it would be. I then respnoded to Capperz call of "it should be just over there" with "OR I reckon it's this container just here". Then we dried it out a little, signed the log and headed off but not before a quick (and slippery) jog to the very high, and brown, river for a photo).
Found with SpudNZ, Capperz and Hunterhilson.

13-Aug-14
A small group of us headed over to Wanganui and surrounding area for a few caches today. Hoping to add to our August souvenir challenge and to our D/T matrix. We started our initial search too deep with in the trees until capperz paced out where the cache should be and tommygun9 soon had it in his hands. Wanganui river very swollen today. Thanks for the cache and the smiley. Found with Capperz, Tommygun9 and Hunterhillson

Geocaching mission in and around Whanganui.. Trucked off into the nearby bush to find this one but to no avail. Then Capperz let out his battle cry indicating to the rest of us that he had the cache in hand. Found with Spudnz, Capperz and Tommygun9. TFTC!

Noticed a few caches have had a bit of trouble finding this cache, so i went to the site with my GPS & shaw enough there was a bit of trouble so i have included some hints that any one should be able to follow.

Only had time for a quick look, but couldnt find.

At this place we didn't have steady koords. Therefore we had no real chance to pick up the cache. A kindly hint would had helped us a lot.

17-Nov-13
Aprox 1 month ago we had some big floods going through the area so i thuoght i had better come up and check on my cachec in the area. sure enought the floods had come up aprox 1 meter above the cache site. The area was completely covered with silt and after a bit of bigging i could not find the cache.
With a bit of searching i finaly found the cache container aprox 30 meters away still intact but full of water from the flooding, all of the contents no good so i replaced them with new swaps, But amazinly the Log book was still intact, All dry and usable in its little plastic bag which was floating at the top of the cache container when it was opened.

Had the day off work so went to cache site to check on it, every thing seems ok so i restocked the swaps in the cache container, in case any Geocaching mite be done with the kids.
