Construction near site is 95% complete with garden and outdoors only remaining. Fencing has now been removed. I plan to re-establish cache in the coming month.
The site of this cache is currently undergoing significant construction works as the old station is being repaired, new plumbing installed, new garden works, new plastering and other major internal fit outs. This is part of a program of reestablishing the site as a community gallery. As a result the area is currently fenced off, therefore precluding me from replacing the cache. It is anticipated that these works will be complete by around March 2016. Once these are complete I will replace the cache and relist.
Cache is currently lost. Will replace once construction at site has been completed.
spent quite a bit of time searching, my phone kept jumping measurements. In the end I gave up.
Currently away and unable to perform maintenance. Several reports cache may be missing. I will review when I return home from holidays.
Muggle builders renovating the buildings here at the moment luckily the co/ords are outside there security fence . A couple of places where the hint indicated the cache could be, we searched but we could not locate a container ! So a DNF for Kingfisherau.

This was another disused but still well cared for railway stations. It is difficult now to imagine the activity when the rail line was still open. Accurate coordinates and the hint led to a quick find of a wll hidden cache. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks for the cache jammo.
Find number 200, it's been a while coming but you get the on the big jobs, heading home after a day trip to Halls Gap and decided to make this my lady find for today, Happyhappy for 200 the track are rusty and the station looks a little run down
After tripping around the countryside, we made it to Dunkeld! Maleae263 was here for the trip! Many memories made!
A quick find after trip to dunkeld leaving Hamilton via penshurst, caramut and Glenthompson with jesshayes. Tftc
Found with Geokids 3&4 on a cold overcast morning. We walked to the station after finding another cache nearby. I like old railway themed caches. The geokids had a look around GZ and Geokid3 came up with the find. Thanks Jammo for the cache and bringing us to this spot.
Staying in a cabin in a Caravan Park at Halls Gap this was one of many finds.
Nice quick find and sign.
Found out later that a property over the road belongs to a friend.

Could not find a thing, looked everywhere
I'm assuming it's near the train station old platform?

We parked next to a couple of sheep that looked about as miserable as we felt in the cold cutting wind. The cache made it worth it and we left a Travel Bug. TFTC.
Dunkeld is a really lovely town. We enjoyed our walk around looking for caches. This was a really good one. While we were there a train went past and made my husbands day. A good hide. Well done and thank you.
Had to be very sneaky here, there was a person across the road tending to their sheep. Did the shoe lace thing, even though I had thongs on!!!! Found the cache , hid behind a bush to sign then replaced it. TFTHn
Found this cache whilst on our way to Lake Bolac for some camping over the Australia Day weekend. Geodaughter found the cache after a short search. TFTC Jammo
Sitting in a nearby cafe, the geo-family and I were enjoying lemon tarts, quiche, coffees, milkshakes and a assortment of other stuff. Once the bill was paid we walked outside, checked on nearby caches and this one popped up. Made a friend with a loose doggy on the way home who we helped find his owner before arriving at GZ. Cache was found quickly, to which muggle mummy exclaimed "you're getting good at this!" We'll after 3 years and over 1000 finds, yes I have had some practice! Signed log and visited some trackables.
(Sorry for the late log. We've been on route, moving house, without reliable internet for a while and have a bit of a back log of logging)
This was another quick dash from the car on a wet day! This one was just where we calculated (from the car) that it would be, so very quick and easy, and I was not too wet!
TFTC!

All quiet down the tracks. Quickly in hand and on with our journey. Thnx Jammo
Thanks to all the owners of the geocaches we found along the road between Glenthompson and Horsham. Greetings from Belgium.
Been here before, came back with my good lady and my trackable, on a day trip from Ararat to Hamilton. We stopped to have a go at the 4 caches in Dunkeld.
Great little cache. Nice and quick. Sad to see another old station abandoned.
A good drive from Ararat, I was looking for 'Trees and More Trees' , 'When All Else Fails', 'Dunkeld Mass Transit' and 'oh danny boy'. Stopped at Café 109 for lunch and made a good day of it.
Took: Nothing
Left: Deck of cards
I enjoyed this one and I should have had my children with me, they would have found it faster than me. The Muggle was still burning his bonfire, I didn't see either of his dogs.

Quick find. Great day to be out and about in Dunkeld. A shame this region no longer has passenger rail. TFTC
Man at fire with dogs
Geohubby and I are staying in Halls Gap for a few weeks and doing some hiking and finding some caches while enjoying the beautiful natural environment.
We decided to have a rest day touring the Victoria Valley and beautiful Dunkeld and stopped by to give this cache a try. Unfortunately there was a muggle on the other side of the tracks sitting beside a fire in his garden joined by two large, barking dogs so our presence was well known.
Geohubby made a very quick, discreet search but no joy for us either I'm afraid
Many thanks anyway Jammo~

No luck today at this cache - recent logs give me the idea this is gone. Found a great place where one could be, but nothing there. Had four of us on the hunt, but no joy.
I think its gone, found a great spot under the platform at the end but nothing inside.
Or do I need to look harder?
Or do I need to look harder?
We wondered where we were going until the railway line came into view. TFTC Jammo~
The plan had been to walk to The Piccaninny (Bainggug) but on arrival at the start there was a closed sign due to a fire burnoff. Instead we did a walk about Dunkeld and the arboretum.

Loved the hide. Well Done!! Enjoyed afternoon tea at nearby plum cafe. Yummmmy. TFTC
This has been off-line the last couple of visits through Dunkeld so it was nice to find it while on a maintenance run up the hill. TFTC
Found on our "Making Memories" tour of Mainland Australia.
Today we travelled to Ballarat using geocaching as our guide.
Many thanks to all cache owners for placing and maintaining caches for our enjoyment.

Found with jocada13. Doing some geocaching to break up the tedious drive from Portland to Melbourne.
Second find for the day. Still no log in cache. Business cards almost full!

An easy find, thanks to the hint. No log book, so wrote on one of the cards. Left a couple of fire safety goodies, and an ANZAC badge - appropriate for the upcoming week. TFTC
The MajuraHathi family stopped for lunch here on the way from Port Campbell to the Grampians today. We wandered out from the Lions sponsored park where we'd had lunch, and checked out the old station - a historical favourite of ours.
We found the cache at the cunning location and wondered how people would mass transit "in the day". Way different times for us now. Thanks for a great cache Jammo~, we loved finding yours today, including checking out how the track switches might (or might not) work!!!
Cheers
