This geocache was brought to my attention as being in need of an owner maintenance visit. The cache owner needs to check on this cache ASAP and either replace it or archive it, after picking up any geo-litter. See the [maintenance section of the Geocache Listing Requirements/Guidelines](http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#listingmaintenance).

I've added this cache to my watchlist, and I will check back in four weeks to be sure that the maintenance has been done. In the meantime, I have temporarily disabled this listing. When the maintenance is completed, the owner can enable the listing by clicking on the link below the cache name to return it to active status.

Whatever your intentions, please **post a note** here on the cache page (not email) to let us know that you are still active and maintaining the cache.

If you plan on repairing this cache, please log a note to the cache (not email) within the next 28 days so I don't archive the listing for non-communication.

A lovely weekend away in Shoal Bay

There’s no better way to explore than stretching the legs to go caching.

No find here..... syringes and booze cans could mean the local junkie picked it up

From what I saw of this area, it is a lovely location for a series of caches. However the entire area could use some TLC for the council to clean up the rubbish and some TLC from the CO to remove all the wet soggy old logs from the old looking containers.

6th find of the day. GPS was pointing everywhere, but a quick look from the path and I could see the container

Thanks for the cache subi-two

While holidays visiting Nelson Bay. Saw this trail and will start it. Don‘t know how fare I will get... we will see Smile
The first found was the last green of the trail.
After 2km from my studio is this my starting point.
After short search found.

Besten Dank!

Thanks for the Cache and greets from Switzerland!

There was another senior sitting nearby, so we joined him and got out our hiking stove and boiled the billy for morning tea. We heard about how he fished for marlin, had a triple by-pass operation and how he moved to Shoal Bay. Finally, his dog insisted on moving on. Then we found the cache. TFTC

Find #2257-2281
It's unclear why we haven't done this trail up until now... But this year, with school holiday on, and hiddeb creatures to find, a 35 cache power trail became very appealing. We did the trail with a new cacher TeamIndiJ02, we logged all finds as 737/Indi. We had a great walk through the national park today, managing 24 on the PT itself. The trail needs maintenance, the list of missing caches is lengthening, and the logs are pretty scrappy these days. Thanks for your efforts in setting it up....
Lucky last.
A great day was had by all - despite record numbers of DNFs and NMs. This trail is great, and should be a jewel in the region, but at present is sadly in need of the CO walking the trail once again, replacing caches and logs and restoring this old girl to fly again!

Found it today with my friend, TeamIndiJ02. Very nice walk, we found 25 caches!

An easy find to end off the series, but again no number. There was no way to make sense of the final puzzle with 10 DNFs (suspected missing), 2 archived caches and at least 3 without a number. TFTC & an interesting & enjoyable walk despite the issues with the series.

Today I took on this trail on my mountain bike,I had a great time exploring around the area,The unexpected hills hurt at times but the ride back down them was alot of fun.
The day was a success with only a few DNFs towards the tail end.
Thanks for putting this great series together

I almost forgot to log these ones... because the drafts of them are not visible on my mobile phone!
On our way back home from Byron Bay we made an overnight stop in Nelson Bay. I didn't like these to much, because I am very afraid of spider and bugs... Here I went very quickly where I had to go... and with one grab it was mine Smile

This has got to be one of the nicest areas to go geocaching in. We have friends living nearby so we were very happy to see this trail with a great selection of caches. It was not too hot so we trecked the ups and downs and even saw 2 dolphins frolicking in the shallows as we continued with our cache hunt. There were a couple in the series that we think are missing. Thanks to subi-two for placement of this cache and adding to our enjoyment of the area. Big GrinBig Grin

Our first in the Power Trail - the nearest to our lodgings for our few days in Nelson Bay. Given the number of cachers bound to be out on a sunny day like this it shouldn't be unusual to find others enjoying their hobby but it is always a pleasant surprise to catch others in the act. Nice to meet you SKI pair. TFTC.

I came up from Sydney last night and stayed with a good friend in Elermore Vale so I could get a early start up to shoal bay for a day of caching on the power trail.
So here I go. Let's see what I can find today. All caches that I found were in a good condition there were lots of logs in many of them and finding where to sign in order was not always easy.
I love the day of day it did take hours and lots of walking. Tonight will be a early night back at Elermore Vale with my dear friend and some reds. Thanks for the effort you went to to place all these caches and to maintain them.

28-May-17
Before heading to Sydney we took the opportunity to hike this trail which led us thru the forest and part of Shoal Bay.
It was a pleasant walk with a few ups and downs, didn't meet much folks out there.
Luckily we found all caches except those already logged as DNF by other cachers and the bonus whose coordinates can't be determined as some numbers / caches are missing.

Anddd the adventure has finally come to an end. Wow. I started at the crack of dawn (not really tehe, 7:30 am) and only just arrived home.

I've been holidaying at Nelsons Bay for years, yet I discovered countless new places today!

Without people like you our community would be nothing. Thanks to your very generous contribution it keeps kicking. Thanks for all the caches.
