walked in from the rail line road a bit scratchy , no water flowing ,no cache ,would like to see the falls in full flood , thanks for bringing us here
Found what i think is whats left of container. Walked out from Dwellingup this morning. After staying here for a few days while walking the Bibbulum track from Kalamunda to Albany. Here from NSW. Thanku for the cache
Originally found under family caching name clan - wallace now branching out under own caching name
We set off early this morning as we planned to meet some goods friends in Boddington for lunch. Well we thought we would try for a few that we had been to pooped (and inexperienced) to do when we were last down this way to catch the iconic CHOO CHOO. This was one of them, and now I am Kerry puckered.

No luck finding it today. Was a real mission finding it as we took the wrong track in with the 4wd. Was a great adventure for the kids even without finding the cache. And a very beautiful spot to visit
Came with JABETS today for some bushwalking and caching, unfortunately didn't find this one after quite a lot of searching.. But it was a lovely walk and s beautiful spot to visit. Well worth the effort.
Hi there shayne'o - After the Event cache in Pinjarra this morning I returned to Fairbridge to hunt the caches along the entry road and this is our find 3907. I have been here before but it ended in a DNF - unlike this time. I came with KeveLB driving along the track on the opposite side of the stream, and parking at the designated spot. We walked from there and arrived without making bad turns. The cache was found quickly and signed promptly before being replaced and our walk back to the car. SL.Thanks to shayne'o for the cache.
A fun little diversion on today's travels
Off I trotted into the scenery.
The scenery was fighting back !! [:o]
How do you get to GZ ??
I wandered further afield and spied a sort of trail heading downhill in the direction of GZ
After fighting me way along that trail it joined a much better trail with steps leading to the falls and GZ
Easy find with the clue to paw [^]

We are currently in Western Australia visiting our daughter and her family and taking the time to do some exploring when we can sneak some time away from them. During our first week we were able to head down to Albany and Denmark for a few days before heading back to Perth for another two weeks.
Today we headed off to do the Hotham Valley Rail Trail series, meeting up with jasenjanine for the day. Obviously, we were also going to stop for other nearby caches while on this trail and so we found ourselves heading down a little used trail toward ground zero. We found this cache easily in a nice little spot and with our name in the log book, we headed back to the car to continue the series.
Thank you shayne'o for having placed the terrific cache series and maintaining them all for everyone to enjoy

It would be great to see with a bit of water around. Bone dry with lots of bees. We'll be back
No water, no falls but still a lovely area. Road blocked by fallen tree so had to do a U turn! TFTC
Completing the ChooChoo series today and decided to pick up some nearby caches along the way. This was one of them. The falls were dry but the scenery walking to the cache deserves a favourite.TFTC
Woohoo a little biking adventure here from dwelly had a great time out in the outdoors thanks shaneo for leading us here
Fantastic walk to the falls and back, Actually no falling water but beautiful just the same.

Like many others I guess, rudi63 and I took the time out from finding the Hotham Valley Railway series of caches to grab this one. We parked up on the railway service road and he managed to find a path of sorts that lead down to the main path. Form there it was as short walk to the cache which we found with ease. The walk back up was a little scratchier, but hey - what's caching wihtout a few battle scars?
Thanks for the cache shayne'o
Cheers

After a long absence from caching for various reasons, today was the day where I got to go out for the day, and as it turned out it proved to be a very successful day.
Mr. Wileyclan rang and suggested we attempt the CHOO CHOO (Hotham Valley Rail Way) power trail; armed with the Nissan XTrail, lots of water and a determination to complete this series in a day, off we went.
Another traditional to spice up the power trail. We had to trek through Scrub to get to the path to get to the cache, and the falls were not flowing.
Thanks for the cache [^][:o)]
This is cache 31 of 106 for today

Like many before me I made this hard work! Left my bike on the railway service track and picked my way down the increasingly thick vegetation and hidden rocks - still in my bike shoes with slippy metal cleats - not a good footwear choice. Once at the side of the brook it was off with the shoes and I really enjoyed some barefoot rock hopping back upstream until I reached the beautiful pool and falls area. The water was flowing nicely - it's a stunning spot and so well hidden! Up the steps to make a quick find after switching sides from where my cache radar was telling me to look. Must get that re-calibrated. Would like to have enjoyed some more peace and quiet but my bike was calling for me. Gratefully took the steps back out and my GPS track showed me pretty close to the railway so bush bashed what I hoped would be a short distance but again it got increasingly thick and scratchy - I eventually popped back out onto the track like a cork out of a bottle. I am quite sure taking the official walking trail (a 1.3k loop) from Grey Road would have been much easier! Fantastic spot for a cache and a definite favourite, thanks for bringing me here!
We walked to this cache from the old Marrinup townsite with our old Jack Russell who really enjoyed taking a dip in the flowing water even though it was freezing cold!
We had followed the railway line to a side track and then used a little used track which comes down from a culvert to access the walk track which comes down from the falls carpark. it was only a short push through the bushes, around 30 metres I would say.
We found the cache easily, signed the log and then enjoyed exploring the area before walking back via the road from the carpark.
A great morning where we covered over 15 kilometres.

Out for a weekend drive with my family (jasenjanine) & we found this cache along the way... Thanks shayne'o
After exploring some of the tracks around this area, we decided we would finally make a find on this cache We set off on this glorious day to do the loop around the falls, taking photos of the beautiful wild flowers along the way... When we got to GZ there were muggles in the vicinity so we found a nice spot to cool our feet whilst waiting for them move on [^]
We were thankful for the hint here, as yet again you had us working hard for our smilie Thanks for bringing us here shayne'o.... & TFTC!

Whilst out and about with Ooh-Yeh today, we made s light diversion to grab this cache.
The weather had not been kind and we were thankful it held off whilst we grabbed this one.

Decided to grab the odd cache while out on my bike. I definitely didn't get to GZ the proper way but instead bush bashed my way in from the south west.
Probably not the most orthodox way to get this cache, but the geo-men scrambled down from the track next to the railway line. It was only about 90mts this way and they located the container without a problem. Co-ords good and cache was close to the path. Thanks shayne'o
Found with richlink and JacobsCrew. The men headed down the hill from the rail track to find this cache. Thanks shayne'o.
Teamed up with Iluvtrekking and Richlinks to tackle the Hotham Rail Trail and picked up a few caches on the way, It was a beautiful day with mild weather and sunshine, TFTC
We enjoyed the very scenic walk down to the falls and to discover the cache. TFTC!
Plenty of water on this visit. A nice walk, though the road to the falls was a bit bumpy.

Had a day of caching with Mr OOH YEH and Mr Luna Maya today. We set out in OOH YEH's Jeep shortly after 6am, picked up Luna Maya and headed for the Dwellingup/Nanga area. The first find of the day was logged at 7:42am and the last at 5:35pm, so it was a solid day and a good time was had, with a couple of 4-wheel drive mini adventures, a BBQ at Lanes Pool Reserve, a couple of short hikes, a few laughs, 18 finds for me and only one DNF. Overall, a succesful day's caching except that we couldn't do all of the caches on the to-do list due to forestry activity in one particular area - though we did have a bit of an adventure attempting to get into that area.
Early on the aganda were the caches in the Marrinup area ... Suffice it to say, we managed to find a hard way into this cache and a hard way out. We had a 4-wheel drive mini adventure and a bush bash into GZ, neither of which were necessary, and then a bit of a bush bash on the way out because of where we had left the Jeep. The cache was found easily with the aid of the hint. TFTH shayne'o.

I wanted to take the jeep out for the day and put it through its paces so I got a couple of mates together and hit them up with this idea lets go to dwellingup and do the Nanga series and grab what we can along the way .......Firnsy Mr luna maya and myself set of early and hit the trail ...This one was our third we manage to find away in with some exciting times in the 4x4 action as I had decided to get in close to GZ .... quick find TFTC
Sorry to see no water on the falls
Sorry to see no water on the falls
So, what was initially meant to be a Kayak paddle out to Garden island (a bit problematic at the moment due to the missing Malaysian Airlines Aircraft activities on the Island) has turned into an Ooh YEH! 4WD adventure.
We had a 4-wheel drive mini adventure and a bush bash into GZ, neither of which were necessary, and then a bit of a bush bash on the way out because of where we had left the Jeep.
Oh where is the waterfall?

Attempted this one on Thursday but didn't read the cache page [:o)] and followed a very skinny track (scratched up the side of the landcruiser ) in our efforts to get close, when that was to no avail read the cache page and Mrs Felix said bleh not in 37degree heat you and Mr Mezzleowl can attempt this one Saturday!
So sure enough drove to the parking area 2nd time around and then carried on an enjoyable walk to find this cache.

Unfortunately I couldn't find this cache today. I enjoyed the walk in, however the walk out was a bit rushed as I was running very late to pick up my husband and his friend from the mountain bike track, due to searching a long time for this cache.
I used the hint, and searched on both sides of the path. Although Urch said in her log that you don't need to get off the path to find it, I also had a look a little further afield, but still found nothing.
The area a few steps further up seems to have been used as a toilet spot by some visitors, so hopefully they didn't find the cache.

Had planned for a day off today, other than some cache maintenance... however circumstances changed and here I was on the road again searching for more plastic under shrubbery!
This was my fourth and last one today in the Marrinup State Forrest. The road sure has had a hammering with this weather of late, but still passable in a 2wd. Had quite a challenge to find a park, as despite the shocking weather the Falls were obviously still an attraction. Maybe because of the weather, as the Brook and Falls were at full flow.
When about half way there the rain decided to get serious, so it wasn't long before we were quite wet. And when at the Falls there were people in the water, at the top of the rock, using it as a slippery dip!!
The cache was found after a bit of a search - no need to get off the path - signed while huddled under the shrubbery, then back up the hill to the car.
Thanks for the cache shayne'o.

Headed into town to do a bit cache maintenance before collecting urch for a caching foray - no set agenda, just see where whimsy would take us. Once again, I am reminded of the saying about mad dogs and Englishmen being the only ones silly enough to be out in weather like this. But I have now added zealous geocachers to that category too. Fantastic walk down to gz, despite nearly coming to grief on the slippery wet path more once. But guess what - there are other crazies out there too for there was a group of people swimming in the rain. Now that has to be crazier than us cachers, doesn't it??
Anyway, found the cache after a short search, signed the log and replaced the cache all without the muggles having any idea of what we were up to.
Awesome spot to visit when the falls are falling, not like the last time I was here and logged a dnf. Thanks for replacing the cache shayne'o, and thanks for showing me this beautiful place. Favourite point from me.

It wasn't the best day for trekking out to the falls - it was raining and the rocks and muddy pathway were very slippery. After a short search the cache was located thanks to the hint. The falls are very spectacular. SL TSLS. Cache is dry and in good condition. TFTC shayne'o.
Out camping with chooke. This was a really enjoyable trek to get to the cache. Got some good pictures, attacked by bull ants on the way and then got pricked by the bush that it was hiding in. All of that was worth it as it was a really nice location. Tftc. Fav point from me because of the location
WOW what a lovely spot. Enjoyed the hike around the falls with Sgtant, taking a lot of great pictures. The cache wasn't where we expected but the clue helped us out. TFTC
Looked and looked there were 6 off us and no luck at all.
Definitely a beautiful location well worth the walk.
Definitely a beautiful location well worth the walk.
Our last stop for the day, lovely spot. Found just as the light was fading. Nearly had us stumped, but there it was! TFTH
Have replaced the cache with a new and bigger container full of swapables. About a meter from the original cache. As the accuracy on my gps is 10m, I feel no need to change the co-ordonates as 1m shouldn't hinder your search. Enjoy!
Didn't find it as the previous logs would indicate that it's gone missing. Beautiful walk though.
Will be replacing this cache with new cache in the next few weeks so it doesn't become archived.
Will check this out over the weekend. Thought it strange that this one may be missing after only one find and in a place of very low muggles. Oh well, stranger things have happened! : )
Out for a days caching along the SWH and decided to have a look for this cache. A DNF for me after parking on the track above and walking in. The cache needs to be checked - there has been some heavy 'bush-bashing' around GZ and it may be gone. At any rate, I cut my search short because of the 'marchies' and blood flow from the scratches on my legs and arms. No water flowing today (not that I expected it in the middle of summer).
We were up here in the hills today, tracking down geocaches and enjoying the scenery. This is another spot I hadn't visited before. I imagine it would be stunning when the water is running, so will have to come back to see it later in the year. Unfortunately, we couldn't find the cache. We wasted the better part of an hour looking too, and I am still picking out splinters and prickles from my hands as proof of my foraging. If it is still there, then it is extremely well hidden. Will be watching this one to see what happens. Thanks anyway shayne'o

I was in Lesmurdie doing some GCA moveable caches when this cache was published so made a quick trip down the SWH to find all the new caches and then come around this one on the way back home. Found without problems. Picked up the Trackable and FTF prize.
Thanks for the cache.
