Will have to come back to this one as im pritty sure where it would have been with no luck in finding the cache. C'O can you please get in touch with me about this one. Thnks
DNF for this one, had a good look all around GZ, also looked at previous logs for hints. Came here with previous finder, the log would have been well alight in the bushfires, but not even a hint for plasic was found.. jonignite.

The kids had been at a mates place for lunch, so after a good feed of sausages headed out for a few caches we've missed over the years. With a looming bushfire a few kilometres in the bush we headed in after consulting the RFS app. All good.
This is a very cool spot - the kids (and me) loved the bunker, and explored it after we had found the (very good condition) cache, with a pristine original logbook. TFTC jonignite

We set up camp at Mannering Park and were well positioned so we could head out and do some caching. We teamed up with the Snakepiters and enjoyed the find in this scenic area. Thanks to jonignite for hiding this cache and adding to our enjoyment of the area.
Back for the second day to finish off the Oz Geomauster Art. Success now to pick up the remaining traditionals in the area. Mixed success with a few DNF's

A quick find on the cache and then to explore the bunker. Thanks for showing us this interesting, historic location. TFTC
clearing out some caches in the area and having a little extra time , So I stopped for this cache as well. It was a nice walk along the track to quickly find the cache and then I couldn't find the bunker. Lucky I had a better look as I wasn't disappointed it is pretty cool. I love the history of it. Thanks for the cache jonignite tnln replaced as found sl
Out and about with Tassie Trekkers finding more caches around Lake Macquarie as we are still in the area after attending a very fun OzGeoMuster over Easter in Morisset. We had a nice walk to GZ and found the cache easily. Thanks for sharing the history of the area. TFTC
While still staying at Morisset we travelled around the area with whiteebbs collecting a few caches and this was one of them.
An easy find at GZ.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

Found while at mega. Thanks to those who placed caches even if they are bloody puzzles and thanks to those who helped with the answers. Interesting walk directly off track. Might have to come back for a bit of an explore .

Fascinating place although the bunker is slowly being consumed by nature. Love old historic sites like this (Favourite Point). Logbook and container in excellent condition. TFTC
Liked the walk into GZ and the interesting bunkers, they were full of water today. TFTC
I have been trying to clear my immediate area of caches. however there is a lake between me and the caches over this way and i never seem to come round here and find them. seeing that this hadn't been found for a while i decided to come for a drive after work and clear these couple. parked near the start of the wire rope barrier on the main road and walked through the nice bush to the GZ. Found quickly and took a quick look at the bunker. TFTC
Once we managed to find the right way into the bush, we took the Geo-4WD all the way down to GZ. Found the cache, and signed the log. We also had a quick look at the bunker, trying to imagine the people having to work down there.
Found with Megron62 after visiting the Catalina Memorial at Rathmines
Yet again surprised what is in our backyard and we have no knowledge of it.
Have also visited gunning placements/bunkers at Wangi Wangi about 12 months ago.
Who knows what other treasures we will come across.......

Found with Deheaps after a bike ride at Rathmines. Thanks jonignite for taking us to the place. Never would have known about it. Very interesting place worth a visit. Bunker was full of water. Co-ords for the cache were spot on, a little distance from the bunker structures. Used a 4WD track to get in, and although there had been rain, was easily accessible. Dropped of TB Poppy to visit other places of war significance. Please take care of her and log her travels as she continues on her magnificent journey. SL Many thanks.
Loved the location. Growing up around here is never knew this existed. That's caching for you! TNLN SL TFTC

Found it, very nice walk in from the road to a place we probably would never have known, thanks for bringing us here and for the cache.
After the conclusion of the COTY Event, we had just one targeted cache to do to put a few smiley faces around the area visited today. We met up withe some fellow cachers and ti wasn't long before we had the cache in hand. All signed and returned. No issues with the cache - all in good order.

After a treacherous paddle to Pulbah Island and back, I stopped in here to find this cache that has been on my list for a while.
I approached from the south and took a 4x4 track which turned out to be too steep for my liking but I kept heading north to the roundabout and turned off the road just before the guard rail/wire and found a path that took me right to it without being too scary in my 4x4.
A great location and interesting history. TFTC
TNLNSL + favourite.
thanks for keeping it alive.

Quick find. Coordinates were excellent. Cache in great condition. TNLN TFTC
We parked just before the road barrier for the round about and saw a 4WD track going parallel to the road towards the round about and followed it, soon after I realised it was not going where I wanted it to go, so with a small boy on my shoulders I headed off into the bush towards the cache. It was pretty easy going and I soon found I had over shot the cache and was on the track we should have taken in. Fortunately we found the cache pretty quickly, as we had other plans today. We had a poke around the bunker, which was much bigger then I expected and followed the track out the easy way.
Thanks for the bushwalk, interesting location and nice sized container!

Found at 10:40 AM GAFF1. We have been here before and this time we were glad that the cache was not amongst the bunker stuff as it has certainly become a lot wilder over the years.
We are again dismayed though as to why a bunker would be placed way out here and not closer to the lake? There is a lot of shooting from over the bush line going on - hope they can keep to their targets, so we are out of here just in case!
Thanks jonignite.

Found it easily after a slippery walk to GZ in the rain. Interesting piece of WW2 construction. Thanks.
Found with ewokchester wally_iv and waltons_vi...would of loved to explore this bunker but it was a weeee bit flooded! Picked up a trackable (dolphie) while I was there as I was FTF out of our geocaching group !
Nice walk. Had to park out on the highway (low 2WD), enjoyed the walk in. Swapped out TB. SL TFTC
Even though it was raining I had to get out of the house and find a few, nice area to do it in too, took TB, TFTC jonignite!!
Decided to grab a few caches today as the weather was so nice. Had been here before to find the cashman's cache and yes the bunker was as full as ever. Would be great to see what this would be like dry. Had a few TB's that needed to be dropped and it wasn't until I got home and was about to log this that I read colleda's entry. I grabbed ( brr it's cold out here )from a cacher in Sydney who had given up caching, so I thought it really strange that this was the first cache I had found in a while that was big enough to place it in. Dropped another 2 TB's in as well. Great spot.
Thanks jonignite.
Thanks jonignite.
Good to see this one is up and running. Mrs C gingerly drove her geoForester to GZ.
We had left a TB here previously and the hitch hiker (Brrr It's Cold Outside) has disappeared. Sadly, we believe that some cacher has kept it because it was so cute. Took the opportunity to let the geokittens out for a walk on leashes which they enjoyed, especially rolling in the dust and grass. Thanks for taking on this one jonignite. TNLNSL.

Enjoyed finding this tucked away. TFTC [:o)] A Scouts Australia Competition
Such a shame this is full of water, would be wonderful to see explore. TFTC [:x]
Geomum parked the car, opting not to tackle the track in. I think it was a was a wise choice. We found the GZ quickly, not where we expected it to be. We checked out the bunker, as my Pa had served at the Air Base at Rathmines during the war, it was quite personal to me and we had some quite time to reflect and give thanks to those who served.
Drove all the way up to the cache in our 4 wheel drive you can to if not in wet weather and have a car with higher clearance TFTC
Another quick find into wangi... although our driver nearly had an incident with a pole! Once the log was sign I decided to have a look at the bunkers. I'll definitely be back out here in the day time to have a closer look.
Interesting area, might need to come back for another look in the day! Pretty quick find!
Parked the car on the road and managed to trek it to GZ. Pretty easy find with good coordinates. Will def be coming and checking out the tunnels in the daylight as I scared of the dark and wanted to get out of there as soon as I signed the cache. TFTC
Quickly found after following the geotrail, nice to finally get this one. Found with WebbyHRT. Tftc

Found while on our way to Toronto for a spot of shopping.
Had found the previous cache in this location (which I'd taken the long road to find), so took a closer, quicker and easier rout this time.
Quick find in the same location as the old cache.
DARN, forgot to bring the TB's from the car (had forgotten to check the cache size) - cache big enough for lots of TBs.

Been here before. We drove part of the way this time and enjoyed looking around again. Didn't plan or want to go swimming down there though in that spooky place. Thanks jonignite.
Cache was an easy find, and was in good shape. Bunker was really interesting, but I didn't have the right footwear to explore inside. I left the 'Duckie the Duck' trackable, this isn't really a nice place for ducks but I was thinking more of Daffy Duck and his commando exploits.
Thanks for the cache!
Thanks for the cache!
Phone was giving me the right direction but not distance. Looking in all typical spots found it. Tftc
loved it so cool sadly full of water. hard to explore it . bit of the beaten track. but still happy we found it.(my real smiley ).
Our 6882nd overall find.
I remember being here before. This time Shell and I visited together. With all the rain I wasn't willing to drive in here so we walked in along a soggy track. The cache was quickly found.
Thanks jonignite for the cache.

Passing by on way home from Toronto so we ran down the presently muddy 4x4 track to sign the log and renew the find status for this cache. Nice and dry, only the one Trackable present which I'll move on. Whoever has taken all the others really need to log their retrieval correctly. It's making a hell if a mess, I'm starting to think groundswell needs a mail-out education program on Trackable logging !

quick spot of offloading with the Scouts and this cache popped up close by, had a quick look around, surprisingly high Muggle activity, no find today, we will return.
Went bush bashing to get to this one, the first one of the day.
Probably not the best route, but was fun anyway.
