Friday. I was on a trip to Mt Tamborine to visit family, so decided to take the opportunity to stop by on the way and pick up a few caches. The area this cache was in looked fantastic and offered a nice walk to stretch the legs. This cache was my forth one collected today. I was starting to sweat bullets, but strangely it didn’t feel THAT hot. I had no hat with me (darn it – forgot to pack one in my hurry to get out), but did have an umbrella, which came in very handy. Another lovely hide for a cache here and I zeroed in on the hide quickly. Located the cache after a very short search. A tentative removal of the hide’s cover and I soon had the log in hand. Very much enjoying my trek in this bit of bushland. I wish our Council would be so thoughtful as to leave some bushland too.
This was the 4th of 9 caches found on today's trip.
Thanks ***Ms Maddy***, for showing us this place.

After finding Red Horse I made my way here to try and capture the black horse. Im sure it would have been harder but this was out in the open for anyone to trip over. As i was in the general G Z area I replaced it where I imagined this fine steed to be.
Thanks for the cache The Stablehand.
Thanks for the cache The Stablehand.
TFTC The oldies are getting tired now. Thanks for taking us to this interesting place. Spotted a few kookaburra and wallabies.
Found by geoPapa after a bit of GPS craziness. Log was wet, and a little water in the bottom of the container. TFTC
This bushland is so close to home so it was great to explore it a little more. Last quick little find before we had to head off. Easy find, thanks for the smiley!
We had a nice walk in that park and found some interresting caches.
Danke an Ms Maddy für diesen Cache

An odd clump of bushes in a leafy clearing.
Spotted GZ from a fair distance off and walked over without looking at the GPS. Brushed aside some leaves and there was the cache.

For a long time I've been putting off the caches in the Belmont Bushland. Partly because I was put off by some of the steep terrain for the couple I have recovered. Partly because I'm not a huge bush walking fan. And partly because of the time it would take me to haul my huge backside up and down the hillside.
But the allure of so many so close rubbed off and today I made my best efforts. This one came up second after visiting the #4 Pale Horse (GC42F31). I did entertain the thought of going cross country, but went with the paths as this one was not too far off the path. And my knees aren't what they used to be.
It occurred to me with this one that Ms Maddy went past several suitable spots for a cache before finding this spot - but I'm also a bit unadventurous when it comes to venturing into the bush.
This pit pony was a little soggy, I wiped away what moisture I could and tucked it back in it's hiding spot before doing a little bush bashing to get to the next cache.

Cache a day to keep the doctor away, or is it to keep me sane. No it’s to keep my streak alive *248 days. TFTC The Stablehand #1627
5th find for the day with Giraffe 18. Bit wet but still signable. Loving our day out.
Compass had me going g around in circles for awhile but finally homed I’m on the location. Contents a bit damp but log good. TFTC
I realise I put too much faith and confidence in contours. But what have contours done for me lately?
I like to use the Trails layer to see what sort of ground I’m going to be covering but I can’t work out if there is some sort of science used in their calculation, or whether the lines are finger painted by preschool kids.
In contemplation (because that’s what you do after a few beers) I think it’s better to not know how steep or flat a walk to a cache is. When you know it’s going to be steep then you can’t complain about it. When a hill catches you unaware then there is no limit to the amount of sooking and bellyaching you can get away with. tftc

Easy scrub walk. Finds are within reach each time! LTE on a Sunday and have the place to ourselves. Geo-pooch enjoying the fun! TFTC
WillPuney, Scoob and I had a couple of hours free in Brisbane and fortunately we chose this park because the boys and I had a great time finding these 11 caches, all decent sized hides with plenty of room for swaps. The only muggles we saw were a bike rider and a few wallabies. Thanks Stablehand and Crew 153 for the series.
Had half a hour to spare so I thought I would grab a couple of the cashes in this area. Will be back at a later date to finish them all. TFTC
Okay, target number 4 for the morning. Headed as far along the path as the iPhone would take me, and realised that this one may be a bit further off the path than the others. Okay, no problem, just make sure I don't walk into any orb spider webs. lovely things to look at, but not from 1 inch!!
Had to walk around a bit to get different angles on this one, but eventually got it. Then in to grab the cache.
Okay, this plastic bag was open, and the log has gotten wet. It is to the stage where it is covered in mildew. Still able to write in it, but you definitely want to wash your hands after getting the name in this one!
Okay, done and dusted at 7.36, so still way ahead of my time schedule.

Nice easy find cache. Added a few swaps for the little ones as was a little light. Thanks for the find!
Where you would expect to find a cache. TFTF. Could not write in log as bag has a whole in or and log its damp. Did not want to tear paper.
Nice hide...
the sun is getting lower and the shadows of the trees are amazing

Our third find on this lovely walk today. We are loving exploring this beautiful area, which is otherwise new for us today. We think we found a Geocaching Trail which led us right to GZ. We soon had the container in our hands, the log signed and we were on our way again.
Thanks Thestablehand

Four days of geocaching all over Brisbane, mostly because I looked for nice natural places. Thanks to a tip in the Facebook group I visited Belmont Hills Reserve and found all the caches in there. Nice walk though not that special, just a forest, but I saw some wallabies and of course the caches are all very nice!
Thank you for the cache!

I was on the opposite side of the world already and could not resist a short hop from New Zealand to Australia. In a week I visited Coolangatta and surroundings, Byron Bay, some other parts of Gold Coast, but most of the time was spent in Brisbane.
Thank you for the cache!

After signing the log and replacing the cache I thought I would be like the fearless horsemen and attempt a cross country return to the carpark. Took a fall halfway down but luck no fetlock injuries!
Great series, Ms Maddy, thanks.
Great series, Ms Maddy, thanks.
Just before diving off the trail to nab this one, I went past my first muggle of the morning: a bloke in full mountain-biking gear pedalling furiously up the slope, only not on a two-wheeler but on a unicycle. I didn't even know this was a thing! I've just googled it, and it's well and truly a thing, by the looks. Interesting.
All's well with this cache. Thanks for this one and the series, Ms Maddy.

Nice hide! Thanks for the cache! Love reading about the history of the area on the signs!
On the final straight back to the finish post. Only a few furlongs to go and just enough juice in the GPS batteries. Now have a black horse in the stable and needing to be broken in. Need that Jockey!! Thanks for maintaining this series Ms Maddy.
Only two caches to go in the Belmont Bushlands and we can go out and rehydrate, one day we will be smart enough to actually bring water on a bush walk. We were lucky enough to come across some wildlife in here today, we saw two little wallabies, a frilly neck lizard and a scrub turkey that befriended us. Every time we arrived at a cache he seemed to pop up and be right next to us.
Now we are looping our way back to the car to grab the last couple of caches. The walk in here has been awesome, even when Mrs 4ando wrongly thought she was being shot at

Little bit more walking around the bush.. the mulberry bush to find this one but was still fairly quick. Cache is a tad empty so topped up a bit more.
Wow! That's cache creep!
Checked and cleaned and on the way. New camo in place.

Becks NZ squeaks when she finds stuff! 21/05/17 Team Ireland and Becks NZ- BOOYAH!!
TNLN. The log book is soaked from recent rain. Gave it some extra shelter TFTC
Replaced ziplock bag with 2 new. A bit of moisture in cache. No horse but a fun find nonetheless.
Very obvious GZ, so covered with a lot more camouflage. Note to CO: the inside of the cache is wet and smelly and the old log is damp too. Sneaky Squirrels
Another quick find. Saw some wallabies in the distance. Such a lovely area! TFTC
TheHinds_xo and I made our way to the next cache, this time my favourite colour horse! Sam saw a kangaroo/ wallaby bounding by and I found the cache, where all is well here.
Thanks for placing and maintaining.

Talked into a deviation (didn't take much persuasion) from our path to the car and RV with the other half of Lennondayz. TFTC. TNLN
We were nominally heading back to the car from 2 at this point as we had places to be and lunch to eat, but the path swerved off so alluringly in this direction it just had to be done! Cache is in lovely condition with some great swaps in. As I didn't have time to give everything due consideration and didn't have my full range of swaps we elected to TNLN. TFTC
Housekeeping!!!..Found The Black horse this afternoon after work. It was a bit waterlogged and the log book is really damp. I gave the cache a clean up. There was no sun out so I could not dry the book. i just put it in a new bag with some silica. I put a new little dry log book in and some nice bagged up treasure to protect from the water. TFTC
Log still damp but signable. left a dry log sheet.
Now where did we leave that trail? ... **TFTC**

But because it was almost dark snakes were our concern

A quick find im definitely feeling unfit today lisylou and mnance101 and remsjw tftc
Out with part of the team Mnance101, Lisylou, and Bennyboppers. Ok, had to let the third one out for a run.
An easier walk down the hill to this one. Quick find with bennyboppers, mnance and remsjw, tftc
Visiting Chandler today and saw these caches on the GPS as I passed and decided to return and check them out.
After paking the geomobile I headed off and enjoyed the walk around the bushland reserve picking up some caches along the way and this was one of them.
Once the log was signed all was returned as found.

Continuing my walk along the tracks in this bushland, this was the next cache. At GZ, the cache was quickly located and the log signed. TFTC
The Black Horse had a visitor of the eight legged variety when I arrived on the scene. Luckily, he seemed as afraid of me as I was of him and quickly hightailed it out of there. TFTC Ms Maddy
Another day of GCing planned with KerriMG.
Had seen this series in Belmont Hills and had wanted to tackle it.
Headed out for number 2 in our circuit through a great part of Aussie bush.

Out for the day caching in Belmont Hills Bushland with Nikid1 today.
This was our second find in the bushland & we managed to follow the path almost to this one. A short bush bash led Nic to the find. Unfortunately there's not much left of the horse in this cache.
Log signed & replaced as found.

With AJsCache today and our goal was to complete all the caches in the Belmont Hills Reserve. This was our final find of eleven. Thanks for the cache and series. Cache is dry and in good condition.
Cheers

I was out this side of town to pick up a puzzle cache and decided to do some horse riding while I was in the area. Continuing along the tracks and another cache. TFTC
Next one for Totalube and I.
This one was a little further in then we thought but we got there.
I pointed out a likely spot and there it was.
