Visiting from New Zealand for a family gathering in Byron Bay. Today we were heading up to Brunswick Heads but decided to take the scenic route. This series was a nice way to start. The specific hints avoided us having to be too exposed to the worrying Australian fauna and flora! Took a while to find the right post but otherwise cache and log all good. The lads hit the road for a bit of a mini roadtrip today, winding our way out through to Bangalow and on to Lismore while my wife went shopping in Byron. We managed 30 finds, including 10 of the GCA variety, and had a pretty great time of it.
We tackled the Gary's Gun trail first, a nice little collection of hides, with helpful hints (thanks!).
This one took a bit, even with the descriptive hint - the kids hadn't checked their end properly of course! TFTC!

Found with Dad and Samuel on our day out to Lismore... TFTC!!!

Found on an morning drive with my Dad and little Brother, had a really nice time visiting the more inland areas around Byron Bay today!!

The area has just been slashed so easy access but there is definitely no cache here. I checked every one and nothing inside at all.

We also found the ring on the wire, but no cache? Wonder what CrankyGekko found, because we looked in every hole of every fence post within 20 metres - well as best we could 'cause some had nasty spider web gunk in them[:o)]

The slashing added some complexity but got there in the end. TFTC

I hadn't finished the Coopers Shoot caches yet, so made an effort to get the today. Needed some stealth with this one as there were people in the property over the road, but grabbed the cache while they weren't watching. Now on to the next one!

Cache is on site and ready to be found.

As previous poster I could not find.

Fence is mostly down and new lawn put in, could see where it might have once been but it's not looking good

Caching in the company of DiamonJs and as we pulled up to this one it was obvious that a new house and fence had been built recently. Luckily the new property owner had either not seen it or was happy to leave it for the time being, we discovered just hanging on the barb wire. Evidence also of more new fencing to come. Thoroughly enjoyed the drive and the magnificent scenery. Thanks for bringing me up here, best thing about caching is discovering new places.

Co-ordinates showed that the cache was taken down as a new fence was put up

We are to early to get the keys for the cabin on the campground. housekeeping is still working. We decided to make this trail during this time and it was worth it:) There is a spot where u have a amazing view over Byron Bay - i love it. TFTC and maintenance the trail

Didn't find it! I think the fence is gone as there is a temp fence for the building site there now!

Once we worked out the correct post (our GPS wanted "to sit on the fence"), the hint led to a quick find. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks Aussie Liahona for the cache.
