CACHERS BEWARE: THERE ARE TRAPS SET BENEATH THESE TREES.I don't know much about traps but I think they would injure your fingers if you touched them...Thanks skindo for placing this cache for all of us to enjoy.TNLNSL, replaced as found, TFTC
A fairly quick find as we add another in the 2:2 Series. We crossed paths several times with two young ladies who were going for a walk up the road with their dog "because there are never any cars on it". TFTC
Nice easy find here, and later I saw a reason to return in the future for the crashed aircraft cache.
It's International Earthcaching weekend and I am 'bach' so have a free rein on what's optional, ding dong. I have had a plan for a while to knock off my remaining 52 on SH52 caches and that seemed viable, via Castlepoint for and EC. However, just South of Pongaroa the road is missing, so a new route home was needed and Rimu Road came up trumps. Quite a few skindo caches were found, and much enjoyment was had, cheers all COs. Almost 70 finds for the day, Ad Labs included, so all was good.

I was touring around part of the Wairarapa today in the company of Etherlord Clan and the Seagnoid (all logs signed today as TECATS for the 3 of us), with the aim of continuing our chosen mission of targeting as many archived Skindo caches as we can find and generally mopping up any others we are driving past.
One of the still activated caches we found today, this one was spotted by Etherlord and retrieved by me after a quick find at GZ.
We were soon back on our way again after adding our entry to the logsheet, and another solved Skindo puzzle cache hits the dust!
Thanks for placing this cache to be found

It's ANZAC Day today, the anniversary of my first date with EtherLady.
What should a good Husband do?
* Spend it with his @WonderfulWifey?
* Or go away on another 'date' with two of her three other 'Husbands' like we did on Valentine's Day?
The date won out again (sorry darling!) and BoardGamesHusband, StaycationHusband, and RealHusband convened for another assault on archived Skindo caches in the Wairarapa (plus a couple of other randoms thrown in for good measure).
To try to claw back some W.A.F. points, we did take SkyCraneKid (FKA. EtherMaster) along for the trip. Not sure if it was sufficient though...?
-----
We all stood at our entry points into the bush, but Twig led the charge.
I held back and saw the cache from my external vantage point, guiding the gung-ho Twig to the retrieve.
> log signed as TECatS (for TwigNZ, Etherlord Clan and the Seagnoid)
(although it turns out that the Seagnoid had already found this one a number of years ago...)
Thanks Skindo for all the caches you have placed, and growing this hobby in New Zealand!

Out with the dog and my family to go for a quick afternoon adventure. We explored some places with geocaches nearby that we had never ventured to before.
This was just a quick pit stop, at first, after reading the clue, we ventured too far back in the bush, but after rethinking our strategy and coming closer to the road, we soon had the geocache in hand. TFTC!

Down another Wairarapa road I wouldn’t normally drive along. Enjoyed the noise of the breeze and the pine trees. TFTC Skindo.
Our first day of Skindo back country gravel roads plus a few caches on the way. Managed to find 49 caches and 2 DNF.
Cache all fine here. Thanks.

Took me far too long but finally located deep under leaves and other debris Thanks skindo
With Gap (of Fap and Gap)...
We have been planning for Queen's Birthday weekend for some time - routes and caches were identified and mapped, and Gap solved a whole lot of puzzles in readiness for this adventure. We scoured many online logs and took note of the condition of the caches and their logbooks. We determined to replace any containers and logbooks where there was a dire need - This is not usually our habit and is quite time consuming; but we are enthusiastic cachers and believe in doing our bit for the wider caching community...
After overnight rain, the early morning was quite dark and gloomy. However, as the morning wore on, the sun came out, and it was quite warm if one could find a sheltered spot out of the wind... We set off with the intention of caching our way to Masterton and zipping in and out of any side roads as well. The proliferation of caches in this area would definitely keep us busy today... We passed one motorist along the way, though the area feels completely isolated. There were a lot of secrets tucked away in the surrounding bush, and not of the good variety. We were pleased to get in and out quickly. Thanks Skindo and TFTC.

Day 2 of our Road Trip
Early start today, weather fine but very cold.
Heading south we detoured up side roads, some sealed some gravel.
Caches like yesterday that needed log sheets replacing as they were so wet we couldn't sign them. Just as well we bought new log sheets and bags with us.
The huge numbers of caches in this area we know that we will have to return on another trip.
Always great to visit new areas. Thanks for the cache placements. SLTFTC

Back up north but only as far as Eketahuna locating mainly solved puzzles and some of the 2:2 series. Plus, of course, the odd trad that was on the way.
Must start counting up to see how many I have and if I can solve any in the next level.
Cheers for the cache.

Completed the full circuit round the hint item only to finally find the cache under a bag of rubbish - why oh why do people find it necessary or ok to do that? Moved slightly away but still in keeping with the hint. TFTC # 12,723
A big day over in the Wairarapa today, picking up a few A-Z caches and as many 2:2 caches as I could, plus attempting to clear the Planetary Pursuit challenge in one day.
It took a bit longer to find this one. I had an idea as to where it would be but my search didn't turn up anything initially. Referring to the hint I found I was in the right place, and eventually located the cache hidden under leaf litter. Another level 1 ticked off. TFTC

On a 2 day whirlwind tour of the Wairarapa with barefootguru, collecting the first level of this series. Found and logged as B+D. TFTC!
The Canada Day event in Eketahuna gave a great excuse for picking up a few more caches around the northern 'rapa on the way to and from the event.

I finally got my primary caching vehicle back from the panelbeaters after being there for three weeks for a minor skirmish back at Christmas. To celebrate that and the fact that it finally appears to be summer, I decided to head to the back roads around ekatahuna to collect a number of skindo puzzles that I've solved but not yet found.
Quick find here. Now to head towards home. TFTC

We 3 set out for an evening Geocache run and found this one after a bit of bushwhacking. We took the marble and left a magnetic U.
Thank you for the cache.

A little bit of a detour on the way home to Hawkes Bay. Beautiful river along the road. TFTC
#2346. Another dot day. Time for an expedition to skindoland to find some targeted caches and get a few series wrapped up and keep the numbers ticking over. With a good weather forecast I headed off to the Wairarapa in the morning. Once north of Masterton I was into the business end of the day with the majority of my 45 targeted caches lying between here and Woodville. Found 44 of them today plus one DNF of what seems to be a missing cache. Ended up at Woodville at nightfall and stopped for a feed of fish and chips. Listened to the first rugby test (Wales vs NZ) as I drove back to Wellington having completed my first ever circumnavigation of the Tararuas in a day. Cache was quickly in hand. Another 2:2 series cache found and code collected. The logbook was soaked so put in a new sheet of paper and fresh plastic bag. Returned the cache as found. Thanks for hiding it here.
This is the last cache we need to qualify for the 40 South Latitude Challenge.
+ a marble, - nothing.

There seems to be a lot of growth since cache originally placed so took a bit of searching. Got there in the end. Thanks for the cache.
5th of the day and another quick find although it looks like part of the hint has been removed from the spot. TFTC.
I was sent to Wellington for work on Friday and as it was Friday decided to take the weekend to drive home to Auckland.

Picked up a few road-side caches after a superb Tararuas tramp with agcnz, yeetrees, huhugrub & wbond1116 to the Kaiparoro plane crash and trig (and beyond) caches. TFTC.
An enjoyable day in the North Western Wairarapa with Waiiti20 and drawp. A generic log due to the many finds, but our thanks to those who have placed caches in this scenic area - both roadside and in the Tararua Forest Park. We enjoyed some fun finds and a few lonely caches but most of all an excuse to drive (on almost every road thanks skindo) through this part of the country. TFTC
One of many great caches found with Envy-Us and Waiiti20 on a 100 plus find caching day in the Wairarapa. Many thanks to the CO's for the cache placements, the many puzzle caches we found, the great journey we had around the many back country roads, and the many interesting places we visited. Sorry for the generic type log. TFTC.
Found on a road trip with Emvy_us and Drawp while exploring some scenic back-roads and lovely scenery which geocaching gets one to. TFTC, #7124
An "off" day offers an opportunity for some Wairarapa caching. Picked the day right too, great weather, warm and not too much of the blustery spring westerly.
Clue harvested thanks.
Cache find was straightforward; cache in order, log signed, safely re-hidden, just as found.
TFTC found with team cacher Sweet P too
The Turtle strikes again!

Tried to get all of the level 1 caches in the series on the way down to Wellington but ran out of time so will need to come back. Was happy with the amount that we did find though. Found with Marisa&Kaleb. Left our calling card. TFTC
We went and did a spot of caching with setucurst today, while heading down to wellington as we have many still to do here and we come down here often, we thought it would be a nice drive down didn’t get in any shopping like we hoped but managed to pick up a few caches for the day, sorry for the basic log as these were saved to my phone. Tftc left our calling card.
Wet already from the knee high grass but worh it to get another cache and clue towards a challenge TFTC.
This was one of the few roads I went caching on today that I had already been on. In this case, at least three earlier caching adventures had brought me out this way. There was a downed tree to avoid on the way to the cache and a much larger one just after. I was able to turn around before it; I would have been able to get past anyway. Someone with a longer and wider vehicle could struggle to do either.
A MEGA Adventure
Both Nova Lightning and myself had set ourselves caching targets that we were hoping to meet in time for the NZMEGA in a few weeks. So with a plan in progress and fuel in the tank away we set.
Departed home at 6pm Friday, returned home 3.30pm Monday, 7 hours sleep approx 470 caches and a great adventure.
Thanks to all those that have placed caches especially Skindo as I think we gave his caches a bit of a nudge
Thanks for a great weekend of Caching and Bull.

Mega Weekend
It all started about a month ago when Cats&Dragons brought up the idea of heading down the line to collect 350+ caches. We both had targets that we wanted to meet before attending the NZ Mega. Plans and locations were drawn up and puzzles were begun to be solved. It took me a while to get my head around a few of the puzzles and with the help of a cacher I was soon on a roll.
The weekend finally came and we departed Hamilton at 6pm on a Friday night. 3days, 2,000km, & 11hrs sleep, later 472 caches collected. Thanks to all those who's caches I found especially Skindo with a huge number laid.

We have cached up this road on a previous visit to the area, but still room for a few more to collect today. Thanks.
On our way home after the Kaiparoro Track.
Creaked my way out of the car to grab the cache.

A quick park and grab on the way out of the valley. Gathered the code and added it to the handful of other 2:2 caches I already have. TFTC !
A quick park and grab. At the current rate of progress that I am making on this series it may be quite some years before I finish it. TFTC
A quick park and grab on the way home. I've almost forgotten about this series. Took the code. TFTC
Just started off on the trip home when we realised we still had a couple to find. Dry shoes managed to stay dry to get to this one. TFTC
Found after a day tramp with the Wednesday tramping group from the Manawatu Tramping and Skiing club to Kaiparoro trig. A quick drive-by grab once we checked the hint.

Hmmm... roads aren't mapped here. I'll soon fix that... Done. Oh, and I found a cache here, too!
Kaiparoro: food, village, doorstep... Not enough. A litteral translation is that they made dinner out of the village's front area. That's the problem with translating Maori - placenames get shorthened, and the true meaning is lost.

Slowly working our way through the series, and found on the way to look for the final cache in another skindo series, the CO is keeping us busy.

#5116. We were heading to the end of a road to go for a walk (to find more caches), and it was a bonus to pick up another 2:2. TFTC.
Cruising the roads on my way up to Palmy for my flight home.

A quick find on a brief diversion after a walk at Mt Bruce to find the new caches there. Signed log, TFTC
Found as part of a very busy day's caching in the area, great weather and many interesting places visited.
