I was heading past towards a nearby cache when I spotted some people 'being stealthy'. Turned around and approached them asking if they were geocaching. They looked happy that I knew what they were doing, and joined them in the hunt. This was their first hunt and they were told about it by some friends who had found some large caches in the hills. The kids were all looking through the bushes, but I went straight to the obvious spot and found it within a minute. They were a little disappointed that it wasn't a good one for the kids to do, so I showed them some better ones close by for them to try. Signed log and returned to hide spot. TFTC.
Found by the tallest geo kid...easy find..while I sat in the car where it was warm!!
Re-logging under new team name ONLINE ONLY (were formerly part of TheChatterboxes but the team had got too large). If CO is not ok with this please contact me. Thanks.
Geo kid number 1 found it quickly her favourite type of cache - good for small eyes and little fingers.

With such beautiful weather today, we decided for a trip out Byford way and to find a few caches too... Although a quick find was made here from spotting the cache from the other end, it took some time to get moving to the next one as Master 2 had to check out the platform & hope that a train was due to come by Of course there was no train, so we lured him back to the car with hope of finding some more treasure!
TFTC AK & Allied Pranksters All is good with this one.

Getting everything logged from my recent trip to Western Australia. The first two weeks were slammed while I was on assignment but I managed to get out every day for a find or two. Got to visit some really remote places like Meekathara and Wiluna and got down to the beaches near Marybrooke and Naturaliste. For the few days I had to myself I hit the Wandoo, the Albany Hwy and the Southwest Hwy Series. So I covered a lot of ground and saw a lot of Western Australia. I had to get used to a lot of things, like driving on the left side of the road, give rather than yield, take away rather than take out and yes with a question mark is asking for conformation. Just goes to show we may speak the same language but words don't always mean the same thing. Sorry for the cut and paste nature of the logs but I have a lot to log and my sanity is important. Thanks to all the locals for the hospitality I was shown while there and thanks to the CO's for the hides, the fun and another smiley on the map. See you on the trail, and cache on!
Went out late this afternoon to pick up a few around Byford.
A quick drive-by find.
Many thanks for the cache, Allied Pranksters.

We found this cache easily on a very quiet afternoon. We couldn't believe how this area has changed with so many new houses springing up on the farms I used to ride my horses too.
Thanks for bringing us back here.

No one around except a few passing cars. Its nice to have a quick finding when it comes to nanos.
Find #306. Found while the brother is playing footy down the road at Briggs Park! Cheers!
Out with the grandkids today for a look at what is left of this series after AmstradKid archived the caches from Armadale to Perth.
No trouble here though, totally muggle free so it was a quick find but not an easy one for the two young'uns.

[:(!] Went for an afternoon of caching with the geowife (needed an extra pair of eyes) and this was one of them, parked the geocar as close as possible to GZ and walked in from there, on arrival at GZ the cache was in hand in a matter of minutes.

Found it on the 2nd time around. Thought it had to be there and don't know how I missed it 1st time.
Out today with geohubby to put some smiley faces on some green boxes in the Jarrahdale area. On the way we wanted to find some new SWH caches but just had to stop here after an embarrassing DNF before (I'll just blame it on the 2 old ladies waiting there) but made a quick find today. Happy to put a smiley on this one now.

This should have been a quick find but we looked everywhere. The GPSr told me the GZ was in the garden but we knew it wasn't there. I suspect the weather had something to do with this. We persisted and eventually the geospouse declared "Found it". It was in the "obvious" place, of course.

Nanos in gazebos and shelters - hate them. But fortunately a quick find here today. Thanks AmstradKid
It was obvious it wasn't where GPS had us, as we looked, so went to structure and was searching it when 2 old dears turned up to catch the train to Bunbury. Got into conversation with them about their free train trip they were going on and we told them about geocaching. They were quite excited about it and even helped lol. BUT there was still a DNF much to their disappointment, don't know if it was talking to them while we searched that made us not concentrate as much or whether its not there, maybe we searched the wrong place?
Either way its a bad start to the day!!

While on our way back from a maintenance run to Serpentine Dam, we decided to scout this one out. a quick find to Chil, SL TFTC AK
Took a few minutes for my GPSr to settle ... initially, it had me in a very dangerous place, then it relented and took me to more sheltered location. SL. TFTH AmstradKid
I was waiting at the Byford train station for a train to Perth that never arrived, damn electric trains. It is a very quiet station.
Thanks AmstradKid.

After a small search we found the cache and not too far from the given coordinates. We were led to the bushes but knowing it was a micro (or probably a nano) we looked in the possible locations and made the find. TFTC
Yep! - I was being watched alright. STill managed to get the cache without being seen (fingers crossed). SL. It has been many years since I have been to this spot - and for that matter to the Armadale High school railway station (still there too). Thanks to AmstradKid for the cache and the memories.
Out for the first caching run for the year with Mr, Wileyclan. We decided to attack the South West Highway from just south of Pinjarra North. It was a hot day, but we had our caching supplies and also lots of water, the run was on.. [:o)]
[8] [8] We took another small detour to grab this Byford cache. The GPSr took some time to settle, and we then failed to quickly locate, but all is well that ends well, especially when we found the nano we were looking for [:o)]
Thanks Amstrad Kid for this on going series [^]
This is my find number 2117

Being in the area with rudi63 as we were doing the SWH series and trying for a FTF on a cache nearby, we came via here on the way back through to the highway. We arrived and started our search. Both of our GPSr showed us that we should be in the garden, but we searched the structure instead. This time I spotted the container and directed rudi63 onto it.
We signed the log and then we were on our way again
Thanks for the cache AmstradKid
Cheers

Another smiley face, found after a short search on a 40 plus degree day - not a muggle in sight. Thanks AmstradKid
Had some business to do In Margaret river so we decided to grab some cashes along the way. This was a quick find TFTC.
2nd to find my nano king husband strikes again finding this one always gets the little ones, coordinates were fine def in the obvious spot tftc
I looked in the obvious spot with the new co-ordinates and couldnt find anything. I was going to expand my search but there was a lot of council workers close by watching me so i will have to come back another time. TFTH AmstradKid
Stopped by here, didn't really look very hard as I had trespassed on railway land and a muggle appeared to be very disapproving about that ... I think she wrote down my vehicle rego, so I left. TFTH AK. I will be back

I didn't find these coordinates were out. In any case even if they were it can only be in the obvious spot.
Thanks for the cache.
