In town over the weekend picking up the odd cache with the idea of cycling along the the stopbank.
It was a cold start but soon fined up and was an awesome day thanks for the cache and the smiley.

Three days after the remnants of Cyclone Cook had passed we rode up this cycleway from Clive to Fernhill. We are a little unsure as to which caches we found on our way up so beg for indulgence if we have logged some and not actually found them. What was evident was the trees, blown over, how high the flood waters had been and how wet many of the logs were (to the point of being a mushy pulp. We thought we knew where one cache may be but there was a grumpy possum in the hidey hole so we looked no further and haven’t of course logged that as a find. It may be a good idea for cache owners to check their caches are OK. However many thanks to all those who have contributed to the trail. TFTC's
Cycling the trail and searching for caches on the way. Quick find but once back up the bank, oh those biddy bids. About to release them from my clothing, when I noticed other GZ's were down same side of bank. No doubt my clothes would end up covered with biddy bids again and again. Waited to de biddy bid myself after cache "Filling in the Gap" Cheers.
Heading on down the trail to this one and arriving at GZ noted the likely hiding spot and soon had the cache in hand for signing....
This is the last one along here today as we have to collect the member of Team Woofy from the swimming pool.
TFTC.

I found this with my dad (nickhbnz) ages ago but only just got my own account . Thanks
The Three Amigos had planned this trip over several weeks we had a lot on our to do list all the bike trails all the puzzles in town except one we haven't solved all the night trails and all the wherigos plus any trads in between. There was one thing we ran out of while here and that was time so I guess we will be back another day.
I climb the fence to get this cache and was pleasantly surprised to find that the electric fence was on made getting over the fence quicker.
The rain arrived half way thorough the trail and we were a bit disappointed that some of the caches were missing and have been missing for some time looking at previous logs.
By the time we got back to the car after riding into a cold head wind and rain it was getting dark we were all stuffed maybe we should ride our bikes more lol.
Cut and paste logs for the rest.

We had planned a trip from Tauranga to Napier area for weeks now, and this weekend was the time to get as many caches as we could find. We called ourselves "The Three Amigos" (and logged as 'T3A'), comprising of myself, Philip.Perry and Davidsonclan. Leaving at 5am Saturday morning, we knew we had a long weekend ahead of us.
We brought our bikes with the intention of completing all the powertrails here, but instead we only managed this one by bikes - but only just! Excuse the C&P logs from here.
A quick find along the trail.

We've had this Tauranga to Hawkes Bay trip planned for a couple of months now and these caches were all part of that plan. The caches of this trail were varied, some clever, others not so much. Some were DNFs and others spotted from the track. This series was a bit of a battle at times, especially when the rain set in. TNXPro, DavidsonClan and myself have signed the logs T3A, an acronym from our messenger chat 'The 3 Amigos'. Cheers Timbermills.

Darn it, left my biddybid repellant suit in the car. Nevermind, cache found and signed, clothing soon brushed/picked clear once up on the trail again. Tftc
I could see where this one was going to be so waited for Jordis to catch up and she also spotted it straight away TFTC
Was about here we decided we were meant to be on the proper cycle trail and carried our bikes to get there. Decided after having done a series of caches in the morning we would tackle another set of caches along this cycle route. Not to be outdone by the very cold and forceful wind or the bulls along the way we managed to locate many of these both close by and down off the levee.
Sorry for the copy and paste logs, but we had a lovely day biking this track, we didnt see many people at all on this side, thanks for taking the time to place these caches. - ha i got the right stump
Found on a cycle ride with the kids, taking advantage of the beautiful Autumn day.

It didn't stump us. The geodog is on fire today in training for a trickier cache
Saturday quick walk before we headed to Mangatutu hot springs, thanks for this cache, quick find.
Out on a sunny day with some of the Jr. Cachers along a bike ride power trail. Probably could have found this one without the GPSr as we spotted the likely hiding location from some distance away. TNLNSL and continued on our way. TFTC.
We took a while to find this cache, almost missing it, but eventually succeeded in finding and retrieving it. We replaced it so it won't be as difficult for the next finder. TFTC
Nice caches, some hides are very clever! Thanks and greetings from Czech Republic!!
Had a little bit of trouble extracting the container but it was still a fairly easy find on a windy day while biking 40.1km around Napier. TFTC
A spot of caching in the Bay today. That's always enjoyable.
This was #3 as we set out to walk as much as we could of this trail.
A quick look around and then the cache was found; cache in order, log signed, then safely re-hidden.
There's been plenty of rain it would seem and the area is quite boggy and muddy.
TFTC found with team cacher Sweet P too
The Turtle strikes again!

A bit of a run/walk out here today, no one else around due to the crazy wind, tftc
10YO and Dad raced to this one - 10YO had the head-start, but Dad had the nous! - Mum had the GPS and was trying to direct them both...
Dad was the first to grab it

Anyone who knows me knows that I have a fall, slip, tear skin or other related injuries whilst caches... this cache was the slip. Thank goodness the cache was an easy find. t4tc
Visited the Hawkes Bay for the Mission concert. Enjoyed it a lot and then spent the Sunday to do some cycling on the tracks. Enjoyed it and found a few caches along the way. Some were tougher than others, gathered some sticking seeds from plants, cow at the GZ and even met fellow cashers. All up a great day. TFTC series.
The bear and Mr TT went for a bikeride today whilst Mrs TT went orienteering. Despite the grey, showery conditions, this is a great cycleway. Mr TT grumbled about the biddybids on his socks from some of the caches TFTC
Had a great walk on Waitangi Day together with two friends. We will come back to finish the trail soon! TFTC
I really enjoyed the walk, from the railway line end to the 'Power up' cache. I met a fellow on his morning walk on this track, and while talking to him I discovered that he was a shearer in a gang where I had worked in Wairarapa, 45 years ago. We both knew several people working there, though didn't know each other at the time.
I found 10 of the 12 caches, all quick finds. Thanks for the cache.

The way to the stump between the thistles and the high grass was very steep and not very funny. TFTC
Maintaining all the caches along the trail. New logs and bags added to each container.
I had to negotiate all the prickles as I headed down the bank but grabbed this cache as a reward.

We stayed over in the campervan and today would be a nice, warm cycling day.
We hopped up on our bikes and started up with our fourfeet mugglers Xafier and Xento
The cache wasn't the problem...the thistles are

Ms KR wanted to do the Art Gallery in Napier. I was not too fussed so I went on this cyclocache trail. Thanks for the hide.
Found orginally as part of phasevisitor team, now created own account, re-logging as yorkshirekiwi83.
Most Christmas holidays involve a road trip of some description and this year is no exception. Today we were travelling from Gisborne to Napier, picking up a few caches along the way. After arriving in Napier this cycle trail caught our eye, so we decided one of us would walk the trail from SH50A to SH2, while the other did a few things in town and picked me up 3 hours later. Found a way down to the stump through the thistles and quickly found the cache. TFTC!
