I am regretfully archiving this cache since there's been no response from nor action by the cache owner within the time frame requested in the last reviewer note.

14-Jan-20
Hi stegan

This geocache was brought to my attention as being in need of an owner maintenance visit and after my previous reviewer note, there has been no owner response. The cache owner needs to check on this cache ASAP and either replace it or archive it, after picking up any geo-litter. See the [maintenance section of the Geocache Listing Requirements/Guidelines](http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#listingmaintenance).

I've added this cache to my watchlist, and I will check back in four weeks to be sure that the maintenance has been done. In the meantime, I have temporarily disabled this listing. When the maintenance is completed, the owner can enable the listing by clicking on the link below the cache name to return it to active status.

Whatever your intentions, please **post a note** here on the cache page (not email) to let us know that you are still active and maintaining the cache. If a month passes without seeing a response, then I'll assume that this listing should be archived.

Please note, that if a cache is archived due to lack of owner maintenance, the cache is unable to be unarchived.

Didn’t have much hope looking for this one due to the previous DNF’s but had a good hunt for about 30mins. Had to wave on a couple of buses but no muggles were waiting. Either it’s gone or it’s D rating should be higher.

19-Nov-19
Think this one is gone

03-Sep-19
Didn't get long to look as I was thwarted by muggles but no luck finding it!

20-Apr-19
No find here. Did find some excellent hiding places for a cache here though.

Third attempt, still no luck, not even with a previous finder's advice. I think this one is gone.

Oh no ! I was hoping to really find a sofa here ! I need a sit down after all these hills and steps today on the first 5 caches ! I can't believe there is such a thing as a bus shelter with no seats !!!!
Do the oldies just sit and wait on their walker seats ?
At least I know what it's NOT under !
And I have just been admiring all your painted ones with themed murals etc....and the old green wooden ones ! And now this monstrosity ! LOL

13-Nov-15
The plan was hatched a few years ago now and it has been a standing weekend away with a few of us mad keen cachers. This trip was made up of Karma Reprint, Team_Gaters and me (TheWanglers). We couldn't use a previous anagram to sign the logs as one member was in Aussie. So we had to come up with another... Hmm, KiTT? We decided on KiTT but after signing the first few logs something KR mentioned took a while for me to sink in and I didn't really take on board until the next time I signed the log. "Hey, the double 'TT' looks like Pi!". Oh, that's what KR said! So we signed the log this trip as KaTT pronounced 'Kapai'! And the trip was kapai!!! We had an epic weekend starting with a detour to Peel Forrest for a few FTFs, stopped in Omaru, thrashed Dunedin and detoured to Port Charmers for a FTF and then back to Pleasant Point and Peel Forrest to finish off the weekend with more FTFs. We got home to our families at a respectable hour after clocking up just over 1100km!
We had a few milestones we really wanted to crack. My 4000th, TG's 5000th and KR's 10,000th. We cracked my and KR's goal and got really close for TG. It really is about the numbers. This trip was awesome as it has given me some ideas WinkBig Grin
We had settled into our home for the weekend and scored us some steaks for tea. We were hydrated and fed and headed out for the evening. No worries here.

Thanks for the cache.

Cache number 118 for todays total of 123
Cache 118 of my total of 288 for this epic trip!

Show weekend and a Road Trip to Dunedin with 'The Boys'....Karma Reprint & TheWanglers. Initially came up with the acronym KiTT but on seeing the TT looked like a Pi symbol we quickly changed to Ka(Pi) (ie. Kapai)....and a fantastic weekend it was. 3 days, 1100km, a heap of caches and great fun.
Missing it's lid so not totally out of sight...quick find and sign whilst in the area in the evening. Cheers.

13-Nov-15
Took a wee while, got there in the end.

Canterbury show weekend and time for our annual road trip to some place with plenty of boxes to find. One player short this year as PurdiePurdie got a better offer over the Tasman, (no not another MEGA).

TheWanglers, Team Gaters and I took off at 4:45am for Dunedin for a weekend of fun frivolity and finds. The plan was to get as many as we could, while still having a good old time, which we managed in abundance. Logs were generally signed kaTT, which actually should read ka pai, but I can not seem to get pi as a symbol.

A great time was had by all.

Thanks to all the CO's for their hides.

22-Oct-15
Tftc - will bring a pen back next time I am up here and sign cheers

19-Oct-15
Had the urge to go out and have a bit of a hunt in the area this morning. This stop was a rather easy one, and rather deserted for most of it, but after I'd found and almost replaced it up came a bus! He gave me a confused look but headed on. Thankfully I had the log concealed at the time. Cheers!

17-Oct-15
Took a couple of minutes but a qick search turned up the log. Thanks for this one Smile

10-Oct-15
Second time lucky! Last time was in the dark so easily spotted this time. Like others found the log full so didn't sign. Nice hide. TFTC

30-Aug-15
Didn't think these new excuses for a bus shelter would offer many opportunities for a straightforward hide. But no sooner had I arrived when I spotted something easily overlooked. The log looks like it filled up a while ago. The newest entries look like they're written on the smudged remains of earlier ones. TFTC

27-Aug-15
Searched in all the usual places that caches are hidden in these shelters (elsewhere in the country) but no cache. Finally spied it on the second pass. One of those simple but very deceptive hides that looks so obvious once you've found it. TFTC #7181

03-Aug-15
Squished my name in but the log is full

31-Aug-14
Bit trickier but got there in the end

27-Aug-14
It's still there. I found it on my daily walk, after checking the all the really tricky hiding holes (Screw heads - that sort of thing), and starting on my second "once over". It's in good condition too, after apparently having some water ingress problems in the past. Thanks.

01-Jul-14
Spent a long time looking in the daytime this time. But still didn't find it.

28-Jun-14
With people unloading a trailer of wood across the road, PC Sniff and I restricted ourselves to a brief visual search. Given that we were cycling up the hill, it was difficult to spend a long time on a glorious sunny day at a bus stop that didn't have a seat. There's only so long you can pretend to be recovering from the hill (or in my case, actually recovering from the hill climb).
I think we'll have to come back on foot so we can linger a bit longer without looking suspicious.

05-Jun-14
Well, I didn't find it. I guess I'll have to come back during the daylight.

01-Jun-14
Sorry, either to good or gone. Considering that there are not too many places might be worth checking.

21-May-14

Find #109 on a road-trip from Blenheim to Dunedin, through St Arnauds, Hamner Springs, Aoraki/ Mount Cook, and Christchurch. The Suits up in the higher ranks of organising cities are really good at doing things like this- making a plan for something, putting it out, and ignoring the complaints, just so another council can make the same mistakes over and over. But I digress. I walked up to the stop, and spotted the cache right away. It needs a bit of paint, and a lid might do it very nicely. Very fun, TFTC

19-Jan-14
Tftc, too wet to sign it

27-Dec-13
Easy find, but as below cache is very wet, too wet to get the log out, so unable to sign it

25-Dec-13

25-Oct-13
Driving past and thought we'd take the opportunity to stop and have a look. Found very quickly although had some difficulty in extracting the log. Found with Aoraki Sheep.

25-Oct-13
Had hardly gotten out of the car when debsnz surprised us both by finding this one super quickly.

28-Sep-13
couldn't get the log out!

28-Sep-13
this was our first hunt lots of fun

27-Sep-13
Was visiting the "Red Fungus" to get a $1 sale price 200 ml snaplock (relax, it's only to use for holding certificate magnets inside a PROPER cache), it started to rain and this one was close and sheltered... took an embarrassingly long time, got filthy fingers, and a bus sneaked up and stopped while my back was turned... finally happened to see it in a place I wasn't expecting. Memo to self- haven't you learnt by now that you should never trust anything stegan (even worse with sidekick) includes on the cache page? Couldn't get log out, but have photo if needed.

15-Sep-13
found it

06-Sep-13
Cute baby cache

02-Sep-13
Cool cache, nice and tiny. Capsule has a bit of moisture in it though. Dried it out a bit. Tftc.

28-Aug-13
Been told that we had to get a August souvenir so we did. Would of been easier in day light to find.

25-Aug-13

13-Aug-13
wow. . that was a good one that got the brain working overtime. . TFTC

05-Aug-13
Removing maintenance icon. Log is rite in the rain (or similar paper) so should be fine.

28-Jul-13
This one took us quite a while, with natural camouflage making the cache difficult to spot. The log is damp, but usable. We note the bus shelter currently has a window missing. TFTC

06-Jun-13
Quick find. TFTC

02-Jun-13

31-Mar-13
Very easy find. Tftc!

31-Mar-13
This is a favourite for us. It had started raining and the 4 of us must have looked very strange looking high and low on a day when there are no buses at this stop. We liked the buildings so clean and tidy and no graffitti.
Our thanks go to Terry and Barbara and wee Bonnie for taking us round some caches we hadnt thought of doing during our weekend in Dunedin. We will be back to do some more.
TFTC

31-Mar-13
We didn't get to do very many in Dunedin, but when a Friend knew we were coming here, she sent us on a mission.Had to duck around the streets, following the GPS,then had to hunt for a wee while, and finally Pedro spied it.Loved this very clever one and pleased we come up here.TFTC

Caching in Dunedin for the weekend as... well, a nice spot to go for a cache over the weekend, as I can combine it with an excuse to visit mum!

On the way to some other arather cache, when we decided to stop for this one that looked to be along the way. We all hopped out, and started scouring that stop! It must have looked pretty ridiculous had there been any on lookers!!

This one was a bit trickier than then other usual bus stop hides, but we did get there, though it did take a little bit. And it was pretty much in the last place we looked. - We had literally between the three of us already searched every single other square inch! But yay for a find!

TFTC!! Smile
