Logs
Thought I had a good chance at getting FTF on this cache since I am working a half day schedule through the holidays! Arrive at ground zero, locate the cache, open the log and there is Blygoats name in the FTF slot! Oh well good caching! TNLN SL!
*****Yay! FTF today!*****Decided to try for this one today and had a basic idea of where it was. Parked the truck near the water tank since the GPS said that I was only .35 miles away. I figured it would be quicker to walk than to navigate the 4WD through the deep ruts. I started walking and noticed a hill ahead that was about the right distance and direction. From far away, it looked like the Shire from Lord of the Rings. Put the GPS away and headed straight for it. Once I arrived, I was within a hundred feet of the cache. A quick look around and I found it snuggled safely in its hiding spot. Opened it up to find a blank log (not counting Geofreqman's signature). Took me less than 10 minutes to get to GZ from my truck and about the same amount of time to get back. As I was walking back, it started to drizzle but didn't turn into a heavy rain. If it did, I would have had to contend with the red dirt turning into mud! Enjoyed the quick hike and love the scenery in this area! TFTC-SL TNLN
