Oh no! Missing in action, I had a good look about but there was no sign of the original, so I popped a small pill bottle by the base of a tree at the back left of the GZ. If the next cacher has anothe container that can cover this one, it will protect it better. TFT unusal C
After the 2018 WENZ Mega event
mr and mrs went on a Wairarapa tiki tour, and...
We struggled to find this hide early this morning - without success stunning views but no container found. It was a welcome break

Well it's the WENZ Mega Weekend and a plan was hatched to motorhome (as we thought it would make a difference from sleeping in a car which is our normal accommodation method) down here in the company of HKCB, 11HPG11 & Alpenmilch80 and head for a few caches along the way.
As time was of the essence and we had planned to spend bugger all time at the actual mega but rather head for specific caches that we would otherwise not collect.
The record keeping for this trip was a total of 1750kms, (fuel = $450) and less than 100 caches, plenty of Beer & Wine and I still call it a complete success as we got what we came for.
Following about an hour at the WENZ Mega we headed for Cape Palliser (as this was a targeted area) before heading north again. What an amazing drive down here and a variety of sceanery along the coast. This was truly a highlight for us and many photos were taken.
We cached our way back up towards the Waiarapa and onwards to Castlepoint
no Luck here today

I DNF'ed this yesterday but on the way back, I decided to give it another go.. armed with knowledge from previous finds, I had this one in minutes this time.. (no sunglasses helps.. and it's roughly a waist height now.. )

Out enjoying a gorgeous sunny day driving in the Wairarapa. All safe and dry here. TFTC
Day 13 of our NZ adventure. An early morning bike ride from our accommodation in town to grab a coffee & set about locating some caches. All found without any problems. Returned to our accommodation and set off with our friends to Cape Palliser. Climbed the steps to the lighthouse and nearly blown way. Admired the seals and then headed to Lake Ferry for a late lunch at the Hotel enjoying their famous fish and chips. No help from my travelling companions as they were all hiding from the cold wind in the car. Found the cache quickly as it was in clear view
A quick find once in the right place. Container is corroded through in a couple places. TFTC
Flew down to Wellington with some very keen Westies (Rebel98 and rustynz) from West Auckland. We 3 regularly go away for 3 days for caching adventures on very cheap grab-a-seat deals. We hire a car and stay in cheap accommodation.
We have been down to see the lighthouse, seals galore, caches too, and we're staying across the road at Waimeha camp ground, it's lunch-time so we pull back into our place of stay for lunch after finding this cache. Whew... this almost became a DNF. we spent ages here. I wouldn't say the cache was head height unless you're 4 ft tall which I am not! we looked in several places before I finally found the thing! Pleased about that now we can go enjoy a nice lunch before heading to White Rocks.

This one was a really tricky one to find (thanks gorby). Could see all the geo trails, checked the obvious (cache not hidden there thankfully!) and after what seemed like a long time, it was found!

A nice wee drive down from base at the DOC camp. Had wait till the muggles went. Then zoomed in for a quick find. TFTC!!!
Quick find on a Sunday caching drive in South Wairarapa, getting a bit too windy now, so heading back home. TFTC
After an early morning walk to the Putangirua Pinnacles we stopped here for a second breakfast, early lunch. Easy find. TFTC
Staying at the camping here. A lot of wind today and sand in the air but the view is nice. TFTC and regards from Sweden!
When you are in need of a Superloo, here it is.
And a cache as a bonus.

#4746. A sunny Saturday and I need to get my cache numbers up for the month. So decided another adventure in the southern Wairarapa was on the cards. So drove over here in the morning and after doing a few at the northern end of the lake, it was time to head south. Heading towards Cape Palliser now. Its still nice and sunny but the wind has really picked up. Parked nearby and walked over to check out the superloo. Didn't need to use the facilities but all seemed OK. Then headed into the shrubbery for a quick find of the cache. Signed and replaced the cache back where found. Thanks for hiding it here tmann421.

I have a full day meeting in Wellington starting early on Monday morning, so I decided to take a leisurely route to it, via a two day tour of the Wairarapa. Booked me a cute little Airbnb cottage in Masterton and planned a route to an area that I have never been before. Left the Manawatu in the pre-dawn light to make the most of the day and it has been an awesome day, with springlike weather, and full of lighthouses, seals and of course, braces, powerpoles and caches.
Found the item with the help of another log. Signed log and returned the cache so that matches the hint. TFTC

the weather is not great but its good for keeping other people in doors and helping keeping the areas muggle free while we make the finds, thanks for the placement it has been another great out over this way caching. - ok so I can understand why the last person didn't find it, I don't think its where is should be but its at hip height
Previous logs suggest this is an easy find but half an hour searching high and low turned up zilch for us. I hope the next cacher has better luck. Don't stand down-wind of the ventilation out-pipe for too long or you'll drop.
Great spot to stop!
Cheers

Walked 750 meters against a fierce head wind to grab this one, at least not severe gale force like it was last night.

This year me and RobLigtenberg were lucky enough to spend almost 2 months in New-Zealand on a great holiday. We explored both islands and just like everyone else we loved it. Apart from all the major attractions (roturua, tongariro, abel tasman, the glaciers, the fjords and so much more) we also tried to do some caches in order to discover even more of the country. On our way from Masterton to Wellington we visited the lighthouse of Cape Palliser. This cache was an easy find and with the very strong winds here we were happy to get back in the campervan quickly.

During our nearly two month holiday in New Zealand we spend time on both the northern and southern island. Both islands happened to be very beautiful, each in its own way. Together with Ninagustein we searched for many caches, as we think it is a great way of discovering the country. Numerous caches get you to places you otherwise wouldn't have visited and it is also fun to find caches at touristic places. On this day we travelled to the most southern point of the northern island. After taking a look at the impressive Putangirua pinnacles and the Cape Palliser lighthouse we went back to Wellington. On our way back we picked this one up.

Superloo it may not be! However, after trying it out I really think this a good dunny. Ten out of ten to who ever cleans it! Well supplied too. Also good views when you have finished with the dunny. TFTC.
Lots of surfers in a cold but stunning winters day. Nearly walked into the cache. Thank you
A fellow geocaching pair and us travelled to Cape Palliser today and had the best time finding caches and seals galore. Such a beautiful place, and many memories created. TFTC!
#8241. We took a visiting friend to see the sights in South Wairarapa today. A good drive to Cape Palliser Road in Cape Palliser. A popular spot with plenty of surfers in the water and others watching them from the shore. We took the opportunity for a lunch break nearby. Went to have a look for the cache afterwards. Quick find. The cache was in excellent condition, all nice and dry inside. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log.

Had a great day with redsoxbean! Beaches, seals, pinnacles, and caches! Visiting from Pennsylvania, USA. TFTC ^_^
Out with Loth making our way to Cape Palliser. Logged many caches on the way and we hiked through the Putangirua Pinnacle to see the paths of the dead. We also saw seals along the beach and rocks. Tftc!!
There's a reason this long drop is tied down. Starting to get a bit windy along here. Nice easy find. TFTC
Great spot for a 'super' loo. Thanks for bring us to a spot we'd otherwise have driven passed.
A great help hint and a quick park and grab. However we did check out the loo after reading previous logs.
I'm impressed with how clean this long drop is, considering the remote location!!

I would say it definitely is compared with many others round the country that I've been happy to see and make use of. The disabled parking sign was what amused me the most. TFTC #8364
It was time to go along the road from Masterton to Cape Palliser today before the forecasted showers arrived. I have never been out this way. What a magnificient landscape. Parts of the road are awesome.
Cheers for the cache.
Cheers for the cache.
Found after our visit to the pinnacles and the Cape Palliser lighthouse. Got a good pic of Jef here hehe. Thanks for placing!
Second day of my two-day trek in Southern Wairarapa. Down to White Rock, and then over to Cape Palliser for the night. Just stop to sign the cache. Thanks for the cache.
Quick find with the whole family, took us a couple minutes longer than expected though. TFTC
Quick find. Beaut day. Funny as I was quickly putting log away a car pulled up quite close. As I walked away with my boy in tow he opened his car door and retrieved his phone and promptly entered the loo. Hubby commented- do you think he's a cacher? Might be- who else takes their phone into the toilet! tftc
Super easy to find as I could see it on my approached. Im amazed its still there!TFTC
Amazing. Had a nice snack stop here. Maui Viper too big to fit.

Would the next visitor be able to give the container a bit of wipe out and new logsheet or piece of paper
That would be much appreciated - long way for me to go to replace.
Otherwise will probably archive. Thanks

Great to find a toilet here - particularly one that's wheelchair accessible.
No problems finding the cache & completing the formalities. The log is full though. Thanks tmann421

Funny hide. Do normal people scurry around a tree, thats next to a toilet, thats in the middle of nowhere? Haha
Got this on my way back out of Cape Palliser after 2 nights in the hills there on a hunt. Much easier to find than the pig I got but still worth it! Nice little end to the weekend. Great veiws! Many thanks. #76
Nice to have a toilet with ramp access, in the middle of nowhere, held down with wire ropes. Stunning coastline and a lovely wind free day. Found with Hubby and ETNZ TFTC
Love this cache spot so you get a favourite. This is the only loo of this type that I have seen that caters for the disabled -FANTASTIC. Whoever put it there gets several favourites and brownie points. Did smile at the cables holding it down so that it won't blow over in a nor'wester -so took a photo . TFTC.
Find #2310. This cache find was more than just a drive-by. With such perfect weather (read no wind), I left the car at Ngawi and hopped on the bike. Found this on the return journey from Skindo's Rocked @ Palliser cache. Sorry tmann421 this would be my least favourite cache of the day given it's locality but I still had to get that smile. SL TFTC
Quick find while on a caching trip in the area

Thought it must have gone as the loo is now definitely super and worth a stop to use and admire...also the surfing. Picked it up on the return trip once we read a log and saw the cache was still there
Found on my annual, crazy new-years-eve-trip, this time backpacking in NZ with Smellfooth, Silli1310, Anne82 and Tina. Fantastic view to the surfer boys although there would have been some better places than nearby the toilet . TFTC and Greetings from Germany, Dresden, Sushisun
On a road trip to Palliser and Lake Wairarapa with Br'er Bear to collect caches we had run out of time to collect during our last visit to the area.
We tried to find this on our last visit in the closing dusk. This time in full daylight, the find was quick. The loo, has been upgraded since our last time here and is indeed a true superloo now! Very flash!

A dash out to cape palliser and back. This was find number 10 for the day. Quickly found but GZ is looking a bit worse for wear. TFTC.
Couldn't see a loo, just a great view. But like most loo's, I completed the paperwork and the job was done! TFTC, #7045
A short walk to a long drop. I was standing next to the cache without realising. A quick find before heading to the Putangirua Pinnacles. TFTC
Found on a >41 hour non-stop geo roadtrip from Wellington to Auckland via Cape Palliser and a whole bunch of skinny winding Wairarapa roads, in the esteemed company of slieschke, mike-miss and cretti. We picked up our rental car, dubbed the Idiot Box, and assumed our new identity as Team CRT, shortly after 8am at Wellington Airport and headed north.
We first headed to Porirua Harbour to take on the resident Kiwi geo art trail before heading over to the southern Wairarapa and Cape Palliser where we visited the light house at about midnight and tried our best to avoid seals while searching for a few caches along the southern most shore line of the North Island.
We headed up past Greytown and Carterton, focussing on caching areas west of SH2 this trip. There were some highlight caches, particularly around Carterton (I think) and some way up in the hills looking over the whole area from Masterton to Martinborough.
It was daylight again by the time we hit Masterton and we decided to hit fast forward and skip a planned area (will just have to come back again!) and shot through to Palmerston North where we got back into the swing of things.
We took the back-road up to Mangaweka, discovering some really fanstastic little places along the way, like a picnic area and waterfall way down in a canyon, and then we continued via Taihape, across and up through Owhango, to get some really old caches, and then north through Te Awamutu and back to Auckland to drop off the Idiot Box at the airport.
And of course, despite it then being after 1am on Monday morning, and raining kinda heavily, slieschke and I couldn't resist driving over to the North Shore for an FTF on a cache published earlier in the evening.
Thanks to all the cache owners along the way, even if we couldn't find your cache - all part of the adventure! Sorry for the copy/paste log, but just too many caches to remember *all* of them individually.
Certainly a super view, if not a super loo (definitely not a super loo - I reckon I'd rather go in a gorse bush!) TFTC!!!
