Archiving to free up the location. Cache in place for now. Maybe be removed soon.

A peaceful clearing with bird song and the distant rumble of the motorway.
I approached this one from the trail closest to the motorway and came along a well defined geo trail that delivered me right to the cache. A great location!

This place is gorgeous! Thank you so much for bringing me here. I’m only sorry I left it so long to come and track down these caches. I’ll remember this spot for several reasons: spiderwebs, wallaby droppings, and spotting a wallaby! What a lovely way to start the day. TFTC
Friday afternoon after a long week at work.
Great to get to do a short walk here.

Lovely winters day for a walk in the Reserve whilst filling in time before I go to an event.
Started my way down from the top to attempt this one but changed my mind and did it from the bottom side after finding the 'saddle' and then continued on up, over and down to the parking entrance. Nice seculded hide and worth the detour through the light bushland.

A great cache love the log book, lots of swaps, made an exchange and signed log. A FP for the size of cache and the whole crocs he trail.
WillPuney, Scoob and I had a couple of hours free in Brisbane and fortunately we chose this park because the boys and I had a great time finding these 11 caches, all decent sized hides with plenty of room for swaps. The only muggles we saw were a bike rider and a few wallabies. Thanks Stablehand and Crew 153 for the series.
We left one of our new Pathtags here for the next finder

The last cache of the park, and got in to here at 8.42am.
The walk into this one is on some steep hills, so take care in coming in.
But the cache was well worth it and very aptly named. Cache and contents are in great condition. A pity my youngest daughter was not with me for this one...
So, signed and sealed. Finished this park off, and now have time to wander around somewhere else to find a few more caches today.
Got to love an early start - so very productive...
Thank you very much for the cache.

Our final search today resulted in a lovely container at GZ. And I’m not sure if we arrived here by the most straightforward route, however walking poles were useful.
We have really enjoyed your series and thank you for putting them all together.
A Beautiful walk today through this lovely forest reserve.

Four days of geocaching all over Brisbane, mostly because I looked for nice natural places. Thanks to a tip in the Facebook group I visited Belmont Hills Reserve and found all the caches in there. Nice walk though not that special, just a forest, but I saw some wallabies and of course the caches are all very nice!
Thank you for the cache!

I was on the opposite side of the world already and could not resist a short hop from New Zealand to Australia. In a week I visited Coolangatta and surroundings, Byron Bay, some other parts of Gold Coast, but most of the time was spent in Brisbane.
Thank you for the cache!

After logging #2, I returned to the path and soon found a likely spot to plunge into the bush again to tackle this one. There was a vague geo-trail down the slope, which passed by a couple of decent-sized pits before the terrain levelled out at a very nice grove. The Unicorn wasn't far away. An enormous cache guardian must have only recently passed away and was now being desiccated by the sun; she would have been formidable when in full health! Signed the log (it's in great condition) and then stood to ponder whether I should tackle The Stable directly from where I was standing, or return up the hill to the path first ...
Thanks for the cache and the series, Ms Maddy.
Thanks for the cache and the series, Ms Maddy.
One elusive unicorn located, handled with care, and returned to the wilderness. TFTC.
TFTC out today to get this series and any others in the reserve.
Awesome cache well worth the walk in

Starting to rack up the horses and the various paraphernalia needed to maintain them. Had to do some bush bashing as I've gone out of sequence trying to target particular caches in case the GPS battery supply dies. Sneaking through the bush, sighted the mythical unicorn before it fled to another dimension.
This is find number 6 for the day. Thanks for maintaining this series Ms Maddy.

It really is a great spot in here, who knew? We thought all the good spots were on the North Side…just kidding! We love a cache run in the bushes, you are normally shaded, a bit of terrain is involved and there are usually no muggles about.
When we stumbled across the cache here we immediately thought that it hadn’t been found in a while so we checked the logs and it has been found recently, man the spiders work fast in this neck of the woods. We dusted off the webs and opened the cache and immediately remembered our muggle daughter collecting these when she was little and cute, these days its all about make-up and clothes.
Clearly Mr 4ando was missing when she was little and reminisced about the good old days. We replaced everything as it was and ventured on…

THanks. Loving this bushland! So many wallabies (or maybe the same one stalking us all along )
Out with the geodog today finally finishing up four square boxes in this bushland. I took an easy route having parked in a housing estate and following up and along another track to this one. Then I took the cross country route down and around to the GZ. All safe and secure here! TFTC MsMaddy
After a long hot trek through the bush, it was nice to be in this spot and enjoy a cool breeze. Wish I'd dropped the pink unicorn TB I had with me here instead of at the other side of the reserve. TFTC
Cache is about 4 metres off GZ but still quite easy to spot if you're looking carefully So happy that it contained a trackable She squirrel and I are pretty tired from the long walk to this but all worth it have fun hunting all. #TeamSneakySquirrels PS took the trackable and skateboard to bring it closer to those traveling internationally
Found all safe and well with loads of swaps. Took a pony left an encouragement eraser for the walk! Also left a TB
1st cache for my walk in Belmont today. I parked off Greendale Way for the nice easy option following the vehicle access track beside the gateway. I just stuck to the low end of Belmont today and grabbed 3 caches down here. Took the tiny trail with slight bush bashing and crossed the gully, good thing its dry now. Cache found quickly all dry inside, I signed the log, left heaps of treasure. Finally decided to take one of those crochet green ribbons I have seen in a few caches.TFTC Ms Maddy. That log won't be running out of paper any time soon...lol.
No bush was bashed on way down to the unicorn. What a desolate spot. Now for the difficult bit, returning to the trail...**TFTC**
Bush bashed my way down to this one. Little unicorn safe and well, all good with this cache

Son saw this first...we went bush on this one as the sun was going down quick....Oh I almost forgot.....The huge Huntsman guarding the unicorns treasure ran up the arm of my son, jumped off and then ran at me. Not so funny for my son when it is dusk and you can hardly see.....I thought it was hilarious though!!!!
Please don't tell my boy.

A nice steep walk downhill for this one with lisylou and mnance101 and remsjw tftc
Out with part of the team Mnance101, Lisylou, and Bennyboppers. Unicorn? I have heard some funny names for a horse, likamoocow, fine cotton, but not unicorn. Better find this one quick. Oh, it's DOWN there. We followed the trail down. The Unicorn was really friendly and was almost laughing at us as we turned to ASCEND the bl..dy hill.
Up and over the hill from Belmont bushland cache. we weren't really sure how to get there but bushed it. Easy find once at gz. Tftc
Out caching with Bennyboppers, Lisylou and Remsjw. We bush bashed down to this one. I dread going back up . TFTC!
Visiting Chandler today and saw these caches on the GPS as I passed and decided to return and check them out.
After paking the geomobile I headed off and enjoyed the walk around the bushland reserve picking up some caches along the way and this was one of them.
Once the log was signed all was returned as found.

After finding a cache at the top of the hill, I slipped and slid to GZ for this one. Once there, the cache was quickly located and the log signed. TFTC
Ok, so heading cross country from The Saddle to this one may not have been the best idea and the fabled unicorn at first was elusive but my clumsy navigation skills got me there in the end. TFTC Ms Maddy
Another day of GCing planned with KerriMG.
Had seen this series in Belmont Hills and had wanted to tackle it.
Headed out for number 7 in our circuit through a great part of Aussie bush.
Couldn't quite work out how to get to this one so we decided to bush bash to GZ. It was hot, it was steep and lose stones under foot but we made it to GZ safely.
Quick find once here. Left a pony to keep the unicorn company.
There probably was an easier way to tackle this but all's well that ends well.

Out for the day caching in Belmont Hills Bushland with Nikid1 today.
This was our sixth find in the bushland this morning & we certainly made it a much harder journey than it needed to be! This one didn't seem to be near a path on our map but then neither had a previous cache & it turned out to be very close to an unmarked path so we figured there would have to be a path close to this cache somewhere but we just weren't sure where.....
We decided to just head through the bush towards GZ which turned out to be quite a steep descent with a few wash outs to avoid but we managed to make it down & a quick find of the cache followed.
We must have tread lightly as the unicorn came out to say hello. She told us she was quite lonely though as she had no friends to play with so we left some friendly ponies to keep her company as there was plenty of room in her stable.

With AJsCache today and our goal was to complete all the caches in the Belmont Hills Reserve. This was our eighth find of eleven. Thanks for the cache, in good condition.
Cheers

Our fourth cache for the day and it ended up a lot longer trek than necessary. However we finally reached the area I expected it to be. The phone was not giving accurate readings with all the trees around and it took a little longer to find than otherwise may have. We finally made the find and added the name to the log. TFTC Ms Maddy
Totalube and I took the short way to this one ... down down down.
Though actually wasn't too bad!
We arrived soon enough, straight into the quick search and Totalube spotted it yet again.

But it actually turned out pretty well and the walk down was much easier than I thought. A really beautiful spot here, soon the cache was in hands.
Thanks

Out today with a fellow cacher. Managed to survive the recent heatwave and knock off most of this series without dehydrating. Despite the hills the shade of the natural environment made it much easier.

This morning me and mumma (barbbowman) met up with our good friend Kim (Raynersinoz) and her lovely daughter (Eminoz). The first part of our adventure started with the adventure of finding parking. One day everyone will learn that I am always right and I know everything (especially where to park - that would be at the car parking marked with a blue "P" on the map) LOL. anyway I digress with my awesomeness lol.
We then began our wondering through this wonderful bushland. while wondering through it was crazy to think that we stayed in the one bushland with all the different surroundings. It was a lovely morning through the bush (oh and a giant hill along the way).

Belmont Bushland Bustle cache #4 of 9 with Eminoz04, barbbowman and bubba89.
Now that I have looked at some of the previous logs for this cache I have noticed one BIG difference between our experience and that of others. Everyone seems to talk about going down, down, down, whereas for us it was up, up, up, up and UP! Phew! They've been doing a lot of work in the reserve to help prevent erosion, putting in measures to slow water flowing down the hill and drains to channel water away into the forest. I was quite happy about that, not only because it helps to protect the bushland but because it gave us some good stopping spots as we trekked up the hill. As we approached GZ there was another change in the environment. A shady little spot, lots of green plants, there definitely must be more water here than in other parts of the bushland. The GPS was bouncing around all over the place, but eventually we made it to GZ and found the cache with its unicorn guardian. Log signed and it was time to keep heading up the hill to continue our adventure. TFTC Ms Maddy

Out in the area with Mr RoddyC to grab a few caches in the area.
We both had not been here to cache except I came in for one of the oldest ones a few weeks ago and decided I needed to come back and do these ones.
We headed from the last one and down down down we went to arrive in the creek. Luckily it was dry.
Soon we were at GZ and the cache was located.
We were just signing the log book when a couple of people were heading straight for us.
We saw a GPS so knew it was fellow cachers. Sprung I said. Nice to meet you Geojohns and daughter.
We could not stay and chat as the light was going and RoddyC had to go out for dinner. Next time.
TNLNSL TFTC Thanks Ms Maddy All good with this cache

Remember this song:
"A long time ago, when the Earth was green
There was more kinds of animals than you've ever seen
They'd run around free while the Earth was being born
And the loveliest of all was the unicorn "
Well, today I saw a Unicorn Cache and a Unicorn. "Them unicorns were hiding, playing silly games" but one of them survived the flood and now lives here! Whoohoo. Thanks Ms Maddy for providing the unicorn with a home to live.
Must be popular, too, because Geo John and his daughter came to visit the unicorn while we were there.
Found at 4.40 p, on 17th August 2015. TFTC.
Now onwards and upwards (oh heck! More upwards!!!!!) to our final cache for the day before darkness engulfs us.

Picked up the geo daughter from school and headed out for an afternoon school. We decided that this cache was best accessed by a long bush bash. Down down down we went only to find fellow cachers team benders and roddy c already there. It was lovely to meet them, but with sun fading we both needed to make for the hills.
A memorable cache.

I came here for an older QLD cache and of course I couldn't come here without grabbing all the ones available nearby! So an eventful day on a solo run of the Belmont Bushland reserve. This was really a great way to spend the Ekka show day holiday.
I Really enjoyed the ramble across to this one. A direct route from Saddle had me in alien landscape, and crossing gullies that was just a treat. What a great place.

Today I headed out with Genyo to clear out the Belmont Bushland Reserve which has been on our list for a while. This was out second last cache for the day so we were getting a little tired. After a bit of walking we were at GZ and spotted the cache before the hunt really began.
Another horse down. TFTC!

I have a bit an issue... Well lots of issues - but lets not speak of all of them. The primary one we should discuss together (this is therapy right?) is my memory issues. You see after I log a cache and take a few steps away from it is as if I have basically no memory of anything related to the cache. So I need to design special systems to force my monkey brain to remember things like what cache is what cache.
I wanted to bring all these deep dark personal issues to the surface because I had no such issues with this cache. I remember lots of things about it... Such as massive mountain full of holes, snakes, crocodiles and a few other exotic creatures including at least one panda and mountain lion.
This cache wasn't a matter of taking a walk down memory avenue but instead of battling multiple strip hazards (should have been trip?) etc on the way down to the cache. Luckily when we got to GZ a recent flood had removed the dead sticks and other things that could have distracted us from more finding this cache.
Dawesy321 decided he would like to go adventuring many meters from where the GSP (very very inaccurate) was pointing.
BUT THEN ---> ---> Yay. Found the cache! Unicorns mean good luck right? I definitely hope so, because I am pretty sure I made at least one wish (I heard they grant 3 wishes).
I would explain what my wishes were, but I only made one and I have forgotten that already.
Thanks for the cache!

I was 'spear-heading' a wander around the Belmont Hills to day in search of various colours and other relatives of Equus ferus caballus
At the Big Pipe on top of the hill, the bridal path .... oh sorry !! .... the bridle path stopped abruptly !!
Nothing for it but to do a Man from Snowy River and charge on down the hill
In a cool and green glen at the bottom of the canyon, I soon found the unicorn's secret hideaway
I am not sure how closely related 'orses and unicorns are, but they do bear an uncanny resemblance (expecially if you live in the fantasy world of "My Little Pony")
Hmm !! Except that I am yet to see a blue, purple, yellow or pink horse in real life.
TFTC and a good stroll MM

Next find, the Unicorn. Amazing how quickly the bush changes in this area, from dry and grassy to shady and rocky and everything in between. Thoroughly enjoyed our morning here. Tftc!

Out doing the series today and had to get this one to complete the set! cute little unicorn and one very challenging series that has had me travelling the length and depth of the Belmont reserve. TFTC. recovered and returned. Swapped a TB for a TB. Again feel that this area is good because only the geocacher will find these trackables.
Potty I can't use this u for my challenge. I came direct from the last one down a steep hill. I should stick to tracks. Tftc
One of those caches that after a tel through the bush was a clear pick up to the geoeyes
