With 93 finds over the past 8 years but also with a change in GZ conditions its time to retire this one to open up the area for new caches to place by others. Thankyou to all who took on the adventure to find this one.
Need to check on this one with reports of changes at GZ. Disabled for now. Will be able to check next weekend.
No luck with this one. Managed to find a reasonably easy path to GZ and find some terrain that matched the description, but couldn't locate a cache.
Disembarked from my vessel and stood on the GZ and checked every inch of where the hint said it should be but no sign of the micro. Will attempt again.
Accompanied with pwala

Just achieved my 366 day streak at #1 here. Beautiful calm lake and took me few seconds to find the cache here. Thanks sedgwick for the fun and placing the cache here. A fav from me.
After talkingbabout the lovely easy paddle today was going to be, it turned on a dime and this was a “Bush bash” yakking through reeds and over logs, of course we found an easy way out !

This one was also a reasonable quick find. Didn't realise how close we could get until we had a good look. Thanks for this one also.
Sitting at my computer during these Covid lockdowns, I am trying to catch up on a few logs that I haven't sent in yet.
Over the years, geocaching has taken me on many adventures, including interesting destinations all over my home continent of Australia and many overseas as well. It has also introduced me to a diverse group of like-minded caching tragics, many of whom I now call close friends.
Today, I was lucky enough to be out and about searching for caches, something I do on almost a daily basis. This was one cache that was targeted and found.
Sorry for the late log, something I am notorious for. Thank you for adding to the adventure that is geocaching.
Thanks sedgwickDave for the cache.

This one was also a nice easy paddle and once we worked out where we were going, a simple find. Thanks for placing this here for us to find.
After our unsuccessful attempt at this cache last month, today we knew how to approach GZ. Probably not the intended way, but at least there was no chance of us getting stuck in the reeds again, and having to live on this island until we were rescued. We don’t even have a (Wilson):)
So we docked and made our way on foot. It wasn’t as easy as we thought to pinpoint GZ from this position, as the poor geo hubby found out, but got there in the end.
Thank you sedgwickDave. Thoroughly enjoyed this series and a favourite from us.

I borrowed my mates kayak for the school holidays and today I targeted as many kayak T5s as I could. It started poorly when I launched and fell in straight away! Not sure what happened but it shook my confidence and gained me some embarrassing giggles from watching muggles! After this I was okay and was soon powering towards my target - the bisons in the lake. I went to this one first but I wasnt sure where the best way in was so I did a circuit of the island - nope there is no best way in! So I did #1 first and then came back here and bashed my way through the reeds and logs in the shallows. It was a quick find once at GZ thanks to the spoiler picture, so I signed my name and started the bash back out. I definitely earned the T5 rating here, great fun! A fave from me, TFTC!
Our second for the day. Made landfall and hoofed it for a bit. Nearly didn't find, must have been the camoflage! Expected it to be dangling from the tree. HNT
Found with Clishclaig and geo kid was a battle but what an awesome hide. Lots of spiders.
TFTC Found the Strawberry Charm and signed log for last discoverer. We enjoyed this one but was hard work. Lucky we had some little guys to climb onto the log!
Got this with the Pelican on our second row-around. Was a relief the bright sun was losing its bite. Keeping my arms in - nasty cutting veg- soon we swooped in to claim the cache. With no pen (I was meant to bring the cache kit oops) I left a tiny strawberry charm and took a photo as proof of find. Tftc!
Was fun navigating the reeds and getting a bit messy. A song was sung as we released ourselves from the clot of vegetation.

These 3 caches have been on my to do list for a long time, but there was always something, to cold, to hot, no boat etc. But today was the day! we took out the blowup raft and off we where. Lots of fun to see the lake in this different way.
We started with No. 3 what was quickly spotted and signed. No.2 was the tricky one. We had to go back and forth a few times to see where it was and how to get there but in the end we had the log in our hands. Then it was off to No.1 what was a nice one to finish with. Thanks to the CO for there fun caches!

What a wonderful way to kill a hour while my daughter has a thing on in Lilydale. The conditions were perfect, glorious blue sky and perfectly warm. I came looking for this one once before but had no luck. It was my first time on my Yak. This time I found it really easy. thank you.
I have been waiting for the weather to clear a bit before attempting this series. The weather was perfect for a paddle today. Calm, no rain and not even that cold! I took the opportunity to pack up my geomobile with everything I would need, and then embarked on my journey. The lake was beautiful today. The caches were excellent, with coordinates spot on. I took a while to search through the reeds at number 2 to make an easy entrance, but once I found the clear patch, it was a very easy kayak in and back out. Thank you for this series and for making me come out and have an enjoyable time on the lake. TFTC sedgwickDave
I went around the back after finding number one, and before I knew it was in the area.
Surely there is an easy opening...I kept going and going, till some 40m away I found an opening. That's when the fun started - getting stuck, pulling myself through reeds, all sorts of branches, gunk and dead weeds landing all in the yak and on me. What a relief to find the cache easily.
Now - for the easy way out! I went out the opposite way, which proved even harder! A massive submerged log hindered me going forwards, so bash out through the reeds it was. Came out looking the sight.
A fave from me!

Having found number 1, we headed to this one. The find was quick, but finding our way to it took much longer. The reeds hampered our progress and we made our way along the shore which was quite shallow in places. Once the log was signed, we realised that making our way through the reeds was actually quicker than trying to go around them. Thanks again to sedgwickDave for the cache.
Found by Mary & David at 1105. After paddling over from #1, we looked for an easy way in through the wide reed bed, but there didn't seem to be one. In the end we pushed and pulled our way through the reeds and found the area near the shore of the island was relatively open but shallow. David's yak was a bit wider then the others, so had a harder time making progress. By the time he reached GZ the others had already located the cache. Another struggle through the reeds to open water followed, with a combination of pulling on the reeds themselves, and using the paddle like a punting pole. Our thanks to sedgwickDave.
Muzza, Maccamob and I paddled on from #1 only to find lots of reeds. We found a way in from the side and then found the cache easily. We took the direct route out but there were lots of ridges to get over.
After finding the first cache, Kingerz and I knew the general idea of what we were looking for.
Following the hint, we manged to just find the enterance through the reeds. It is a little overgrown, but definitely achievable with some determination.
Another great find in our mission to see all three!

We did this second on our tour of all three Lake caches. Having just started geocaching two days before, these ones caught our attention and we did 14 today. Lacking a kayak, our sea-rated inflatable dingy got there just fine but struggled to squeeze into the gap in the reeds, so I had to wade the last bit. Muddy but fun. Best cache yet!
Great day for a kayak, launched on the lake and set off for the next cache. Once my eyes adjusted cache in hand. Move onto the next. Thanks for the hide.
Been my first outing out in my blow up kayak. Thinking this is not the time to work my way through the reeds. I may never make it out!!! I'll be back when I get good at turning, moving and rowing hahaha
Find #925
I finally headed here after finding #3. The paddle across was a little bumpy as the wind had started to pick up. Luckily the island protected me from most of the wind but the rain had started to fall as I made the find. Again I was glad of the hint. The pen was struggling to make a mark on the log in the rain but I managed to make some sort of a scribble. Once replaced I then paddled back to shore and managed to get out before the wind really picked up and the heavens fully opened. Thanks for placing these sedgwickDave and for finally getting me out on the water

Having brought my plastic kayak down from Taree, NSW I was keen to try it on this lake that I had been to a couple of years ago. Parked in the wrong spot, and then drove around to the boat ramp. Lots of skiffs on the water - retirees.
Paddled straight across to this island, and then tried to fight my way in. Eventually got to land, and checked out a lot of potential hiding spots, until later on I tried another tack and bingo - I saw, and then had to get to it. Dry and intact O-ring. Heaps of room on the log sheet.

The Rusty's and I, in an inflatable double kayak managed to get ourselves stuck several times trying to find a way into the cache, on reeds and submerged logs. I think we eventually did find the right way in but by then we were too worried about puncturing our little kayak to attempt it. I clambered ashore to scope out whether we could get there on foot. Stumbled over a sign that said 'do not enter' but it was too late, I already had so tiptoed across to GZ wishing I had remembered to throw my thongs in the boat. Climbed onto the log, found and signed. Then tiptoed back carefully watching for anything that wanted to bite or sting my bare feet, to the safety of the kayak! Tftc. Jazzmo (NZ)
As much as I love my kick-a**e inflatable double kayak, it wasn't the best watercraft for this particular exercise. We approached this head on and tried to get through some thinner areas of reeds but ended up BEACHED AS BRO (Kiwi skit that you should Google if you haven't seen it). We really needed a reversing camera as we ended up in more strife when we tried to extract ourselves from the foliage in reverse. This happened a few more times until we found a spot that looked more promising but then we got seriously beached on a submerged log. It took a fair bit of heave ho to slowly drag ourselves off it. Then we found what was most likely the best spot to enter but it still had lots of overhanging foliage and I was kind of getting precious about my kayak. I did not want this smiley to cost me my kayak and I most certainly was not ending up in the poo-coloured, blue-green algae festering water for a swim back to shore. So we went on to the next cache.
After finding that we did another lap of the island and decided on attacking this cache the same way as Happy Feet, who found it before us......on foot. We pulled up to a nice little entry point, ate a lunch of spider webs and twigs as we exited the yak, and tip toed over the NO ENTRY sign that we pretended was just a figment of our imaginations. It was only 30m to the cache and thanks to the hint and spoiler pic we had it in hand quickly. Without mucking around we got back to the yak and left the island as if we were never there. It was a pretty successful first kayak caching trip for us. Enjoyed something different to the usual. Thank you.

In Yarra Glen for Easter catching up with geo family. It's a great opportunity to grab some caches while in the area. This included trying out a canoe that we had purchased. It took us a bit to start feeling comfortable and to make our way towards this cache. We tried getting close to GZ but became stuck in the reeds, so continued towards the next cache. Along the way we found and opening where we were able to go ashore. From here we walked back to GZ and was able to make the cache find, esxpecially thankful for clue. It would be difficult to get in by canoe due to the thick reeds.
Thanks sedgwickDave for placing & maintaining the cache for us to find.

Found cache eventually. Tried getting a long canoe through the shallow sweedy area close to where the cache is, but had no luck being able to manoeuvre the Canoe, kept getting stuck. Tried using the awes to push the Canoe from the ground, but we would have broken the awes trying to get there that way. Eventually came back out of the sweedy area, and came through another much easier path not too much further around the corner and found the cache Tftc and thanks for the adventure
Essieg and her potential cacher friend maddenedgeek were planning a paddle this afternoon so I hijacked the whole operation.
I had to abandon ship in the reeds but the cache was an instant find. Now wet to knees.

Yesterday I took possession of my new kayak. Somehow I think I have got this whole midlife crisis thing wrong as I have divested myself of he convertible and have replaced it with a new bike and the aforementioned kayak.
Today I loaded it up on the car, dropped the kids off at the in-laws, and set off for Lilydale lake. The temperature was already in the 30's but that wasn't going to deter me. As I parked up I noticed that the lakeside at the boat ramp was taken up my model boaters wandering around with huge remote controls. I waited to see what they were doing before I committed to disturbing them however by the time I had unloaded the kayak they had finished their race and were slowly drifting back to shore.
I put the kayak in the water and gracefully (not!) boarded it. I soon got the feel of it and then focused my attention on the main objective...grabbing the 3 caches on the lake.
I paddled around for a while trying to identify the break in the reeds to get to the inner sanctum. After a few (or perhaps more) false starts I found my way in. Like others I had to negotiate the sunken logs and the reeds but soon made it to the GZ. A quick find once there. The pen wouldn't work on the original sheet but like previous loggers I signed the additional sheet. TFTC.

Found it after checking a number logs and finding my way through the rushes. Good hiding spot and day warm enough to take out our blow up kayak
I guess an inflatable double kayak is not the most nimble of vessels to take you to this cache, but after a few close encounters with submerged logs and a bit of a reed issue, we managed to find this. Very cool. Loving being out on the water this Sunday morning. Thanks sedgwickDave.
Finally found it in our inflatable kyak.

Well... that took a while. The GPS starting playing up a bit, but it was pretty easy once we knew what we are doing. TFTC!
...Having found #1, omegaman and Vanessa&Aodh went to get into the kayak, but both found the challenge more than they were able to take on today. So they sent me off to find the next one. Once again, I tried to memorise the map, the description, and the clue so that I could leave my phone safely on dry land. I paddled (with trouble again, nearly capsizing this time!) to the right 'corner' of the island, and quickly realised that #2 was NOT going to be as easy as #1. I tried to paddle closer to the island, but the reeds were not making it easy. So I paddled further around the island, clockwise, looking for an easier way in. When I didn't find one, I went back to the first place I'd tried, took a longer run-up to get momentum, and managed to enter the world of reeds. Once in there, I had to navigate reeds, submerged logs, and shallow water, often pulling the kayak through the reeds with the paddle! I tried to avoid scraping over any submerged logs, as I didn't want to damage the kayak. Anyway, once in there, I paddled clockwise again, inspecting all the possible locations. There was one particular tree that looked like the picture I had in my memory, but there was no cache there. (I don't think my memory was as accurate as it needed to be.) I finally gave up, conscious that my buddies were on the shore with no way of contacting me to check that I was ok. I figured I'd better give up the search for the day, and reassure them that I was still alive.
By the time I got back to the launching place, a search party was being initiated. (Maybe I had taken even longer than I had thought!) Everyone was relieved that I was alive and back on shore.
Once we brought the kayak up onto the sand, the three of us stood there looking at it. Vanessa said, "I'm going to get rid of it". (She may or may not want to relay her own experience of paddling the kayak that day.) I said, "I'll buy it from you!" "You can have it." "I'm happy to pay you." "It was freecycled." So I have a kayak! Thanks, Vanessa - I owe you one Now I just have to work out whether or not I can fit it on the roof racks with all the other camping gear when GeoTeens and I head to Jindabyne in January...

After finding #1, we continued on around the lake to this GZ. Waterbirds were abundant and there was something very surreal about paddling on a such a beautiful morning. Navigating to GZ was not the easiest as there were reeds and submerged logs to navigate. Some backpaddling was necessary but soon enough we spotted the cache and completed signing duties. Another great cache! Second ever watercache find.

Our journey around the lake continued and we did manage to splash one another a little but as the day was warming quickly it didn't matter.
Lots of water birds and a few muggles kayaking out with us on the water.
Heaps of dogs taking their owners for walkies on the shore.
It took us a while to figure out how to move through the reeds and after the cache was found and logged we took a few attempts to turn around.
The paddle to the smaller island was a leisurely one.
Thanks for the cache sedgewick dave.

Took the new 2 man Yak out on its maiden voyage today c/w geo child. Couple of quick laps off to find cache 1, done tick. Back to the boat ramp for geochild 2, few laps and into the reeds for cache too. Got stuck for z while on some logs but got there. Couldn't find cache 3 today. Can't wait to get back in. Tftc'a
OzHockeyChick,Daznjaneo 's and myself headed to #2 co-ordinates for the morning and haf quite a laugh at the track although in water we had to take to pick up this cache. Nothing damaged or disrupted but so many laughs at our inexperience and lack of stability when in a situation. Nether the less we had the cache in hand soon enough and signed yet another water cache log and then the fun began getting back off this so called track. Thanks for another fun cache sedgewickdave

The second and possibly the trickiest of the 3. With 88andy88 heading in one way, daznjaneo in another and myself battling through a different way. Daz was first in and guided the rest of us into the gz. Reversing and turning - both our newly acquired skills. Thanks again!

This one was my favourite for the day. OzHockeyChick , 88andy88 & I had a good laugh and a lot of fun getting in there ,turning around then getting out. tftc
On lochb's 3 piece maiden voyage we had an easier time negotiating the water and the water obstacles. Thanks for the watery adventure.

The middle piece of my new Tequila had finally arrived (after three months), so PrincessDiala and I set out to complete the final missing kayak cache on the lake. We'd been here before, more than two years ago, on my trusty inflatable. During that trip, PD had let out the air of chamber 3 with her PFD (luckily chamber 3 was only for comfort and easy paddling, and not vital to floating!). We'd found all the other caches then, but could not get closer than 15m to GZ as the passage was getting too narrow and we could not squeeze past the log.
Today, this was so much easier and elegant in a proper kayak! We still struggled to find the entrance, and it was getting a bit tight in places, but at least we no longer had to worry about a puncture! To get back out, we performed what felt like a 20 point turn as we couldn't get the front to turn around the log, but we made it in the end! This was so much fun that we decided to paddle around the islands again before heading back to the car. We even spotted one of the other caches from a distance! TFTC, please place more kayak caches!!!

New log sheet added as original one now 3/4 full & rusty ring replaced. Cache all good. Enjoy
Found by Mr B with Awegs and miss A and miss B, best of the three for adventure this one tftc.
With the weather warm but mixed, decided to load the yak onto the car and head to Lilydale Lake. I lived nearby four years ago, and the lake had been my jogging circuit four days a week. I thought I might get rained on today, but the weather was gorgeous. The park was filled with New Years Day families eating lunch and hanging out. There were a few people out on the water, but I am sure none noticed me edging into the islands to find three caches. These were beautifully placed and a joy to find!
This cache was my fave, as getting to it was the most fun, especially on a 4.2 metre sit-on-top.
Thanks Dave for motivating a terrific return to Lilydale Lake.

The second of the 3 lildale lake caches with nanton34 and the most challenging. This took some manoeuvring and some time to locate the right path but got there in the end and without getting too wet. Tftc
Our second cache in the series and my favourite. After paddling around trying to find the passage in eigthknox eventually spotted a possible path while i explore further around the reeds. With myself having no luck I followed eighthknox into the reeds and after some careful paddling the cache was soon located. Getting back out was just as much of an adventure as I misjudged the submerged logs and almost capsized the my kayak before finding my self stuck. With a little bit of muscle I was soon on my way again TFTC
Wahoo!! We are doing the last 3 to hit our 1000 in a unique way on the lake. Picnicing nearby with our end of year Scout function and borrowing their canoes. First time canoeing as a family and definitely do more next holidays. We manages to find the correct channel easily but found it challenging to reverse out as we were in a open Canadian canoe which is quite long. Tftc.

It was Zeus and the youngest's turn to tandem kayak on the lake. This was my favourite of the Yakking About's as we had to find a course through the reeds feeling like navy seals slipping in to storm the beaches. That is, if navy seals tootled around in inflatable kayaks with a three-year old in tow and bright yellow life-jackets. Much fun on the lake with a bright sun overhead and a warm breeze rippling the water.
I've had my eye on these caches for quite some time, and today the stars aligned. With my mate, Ruschie, we took a small dinghy to the lake and went for a row. The reeds came quite a way into the water from GZ and, not being a canoe, we couldn't glide through them. I had to wade in for this one. The main lesson learned here was to remove my phone from my pocket next time. How many times do I have to drown my phones before I learn? Doh!!!
Anyway, we found and signed the log. Thanks Dave.

We were very wary of submerged trees here as we were in the inflatable geoboat. Tackled the reeds from several directions. Will have to bring the real kayaks next time. Good exercise anyway
Unable to locate and didn't want to push the little inflatable beyond its limits. May try another day with a real kayak
Did not find - but I didn't have much time to look and not certain if I had the right tree.
Our first kayak cache. Geo kid 1 was very excited. Forgot to take pen so took photo instead. Thanks.
A nice afternoon and hadn't had a paddle for a few months decided to go find the 3 geo's on the lake. Got to the first and realized I forgot a pen (rookie mistake) so I took a photo of the log to show I found it
These were great fun and I should do more on water
Thanks for the cache!

We decided to head out this afternoon as the weather was good and we had nothing on. We had also wanted to do these cache for some time - being on water and reasonably close to home. The wind was quite strong today however and we had a a hard time heading into it. At one stage my hat came off and we had to go back to retrieve a rather soggy hat. Not having read the page we arrived at GZ and the GPS indicated that we needed to land. We found a landing spot got out and started to look before reading the page. Once we had read the info MMelb brought the boat to Gz while GMelb went over ground. Eventually found the cache and signed log and headed off for the next. Thanks sedgwickdave

I have only recently converted myself from 'non-caching other half' into an actual cacher. If as owner of this cache you don't want me to log this find, please feel free to delete it. I was present at the time my caching partner LouiseAnn signed this log, I hunted and was involved in the signing, I just didn't have my own profile at the time.
LouiseAnn and her non caching other half bought them selves shiny new kayaks last year, and tho we had all been kayaking together, we were yet to go kayak caching. Finally the planets allinged and we all met at Lillydale lake. In typical LouiseAnn / Pathfinder24 caching style LouiseAnn arrived without a GPS, I arrived without a pen. However I did bring a couple of spare GPS and LouiseAnn was able to find a pen, so we were good for mission launch. With LouiseAnn still celebrating her fist ever kayaing cache find we were soon hunting through the narrow alleys in the weeds looking for this cache. We foudn the cache and signed the log, then cam ethe true challenge, getting abck out. LouiseAnn performed a 28 point turn, I ended up having to reverse, out most of the way as my kayak is quite a lot larger. Thanks for the cache, sedgwickDave.
Since we picked up our kayaks in October last year, I have been wanting to head out and get a cache with them. Plans have been made and fallen through a number of times, but today, Pathfinder24 Neil and I all made it to the same place, with boats, life jackets, water bottles and all the other associated 'stuff' required for a trip like this. I did forget both my GPS and a pen..... however, Pathfinder brought 3 GPS (he recently purchased a pair of Garmin Rhinos! Cool!) and I found a pen in the back of the car! we were ready!
I picked this cache up, at 11:58am with Pathfinder24 and Neil, the non-cacher of the group. This cache truly deserved it's terrain 5. It really put my maneuvering skills to the test. As did the 28 point turn I had to do to get back out again. I think this was even harder for Pathfinder24 in his hobie as it is really long and much wider!
Thanks for the cache sedgwickDave.

Fav point given to this in the yak series for taking me to a hidden part of the lake. TFTC
Deciding team work would be the way to get this off a few peoples closest to home lists, the hippy putt putt was brought out and silicone thought about to stop the leaks. It is powered by natural gas or that is what I claim.
For the attempt to work everybody (Emerald Flame, Mr and Mrs Ross 47 and Wal-len) had to bring something to make this attempt succesful. Unfortunately I drew the short straw and the rope was tied to my leg for me to drag as I swam doggy style. Yes I forgot the paddles, so obviously I was the one getting wet, but everybody was very supportive in their efforts to achieve the find and some quite unconventional methods where used. The windcheaters made really good sails going with the wind.
We took aim at a gap in the reeds after grabbing another pen. Luckily it was the right spot. But when the branches where seen I was left to walk the last 15m and sign on everybodies behalf. For that I gave them a rendition of yoddelling and sung a new song. They didnt show any appreciation which was most disappointing considering the trouble in getting them their. I hope they have the rendition stuck in their heads.
SINGING IN THE LAKE, JUST SINGING IN THE LAKE, WHAT A WONDERFUL FEELING TO BE HIP HIP HIPPY AGAIN.
I really dont know why they didn't like it
TFTC and will give a favourite on this one for providing an opportunity for a laugh.

As per Paul's log, a joint effort for these caches.
It was a lovely day for a paddle on the lake, and a number of kayaks and other water craft attested to that fact.
Paul provided the propulsion to get out there while others provided the vessel. Not sure what other sort of methods were used, but did notice a few bubbles in the water from time to time. Everybody brought something along to help, and part of my job was to call out the hint and the distance to GZ. Think this one was the 3rd one, after which Paul gave us his rendition of Hippy in the Lake, sung to the tune of Singing in the Rain. Thanks to sedgwickDave for the cache, Paul the Hippy for the legs, Ross47 for the pen, Emerald Flame for the vessel and Mrs Ross47 for the encouragement.

Have added a spoiler pic for those who may wish to use it. Also updated the hint.
The trick is to find your way into GZ, take the clear passage thru the reeds then left.
The cache is not on the island, no need to exit your yak as long as the water level hasn't dropped too much. I'll check the cache this weekend.

Out celebrating Founder's Day here today with our scout district. Baden Powell's Birthday, and caught up with cycling_guy and seeing as there was an abundance of Canoes and Kayaks here we grabbed thje closest one and headed out to grab this series.
No luck for us today, cycling_guy even got out of the canoe and walked along the edge with no luck.
GPSr was saying it was 5 mtrs onto the island.

It was a great day at the Lake for Scouts Founders day. Scouts had raced their rafts, so it was time for them to have some free muck up time in the water.
Datruk and I (Scout leaders) saw the opportunity to "steal" a canoe and go for the 3 lake caches.
Datruk in the back with the GPS an me in the front armed with the pen.
The GPSr was bouncing around like disco ball. I decided to get out of the canoe in knee deep water to have a better look. I felt a bit like Alby Mangels but no bikini girls in sight, only Datruk
After a good search, no joy.
Will be back next year on Founders Day.
Thanks for the small series.

Find no 2 of 5 kayak caches today . Found with nufrat and quiet1 _au was a much less eventful paddle from the last cache to this one as miss breanna had given up trying to capsize us so we got to have a free laughs and a chat as we cruised along lots of birds to see along the way . This cache was a bit trickier to get to as I was now on the wider kayak thanks breanna found signed and after a million point turn we were ready to find the next one tftc
No luck finding the cache today. Our craft isn't as streamlined as a canoe and couldn't fit into places where they can, we attemted it from two angles. One trying to negotiate the semi submerged logs and narrow spaces, and two from land access, but it was far too difficult to locate it from the land.
WIll be back some another time with appropriate equipment.

We'll have to come back for this one, what a shame! PrincessDiala and I soon realised how to enter the area around GZ, but somehow we couldn't get closer than around 5-8 m, as our wide inflatable simply didn't fit past the submerged logs. We tried, and tried, and tried... ended up in the bushes, with spiders all over us and needles everywhere... but we weren't going to get off the boat and walk through unknown territory through the water.
We went back on land, filled up the by now deflated chamber 3, and came back from the other direction. I went onto the island and walked towards GZ. Unfortunately there didn't seem to be a way to get closer than a few metres, with bushes blocking access.
We might have to wait until there is more water in the lake before we try again. Rain, where are you when you are needed???

breannaluke, quiet1_au, miss B and i single filed our way into this one for an easy find, as there is only one way in and out of this one, i reversed out while watching the others do multi point turns, all having a fun and a laugh, tftc
nufrat and breannaluke (x2) and myself tackled this geoyak series today, and despite the predicted heat the lake waters cooled the air and made for an enjoyable paddle. This cache was a bit trickier to get to, but we managed to squeeze our way between the sunken logs and reed beds to make another quick find. Finding no way out we made a multi-point turn and back-tracked our way to the open waters again.
Knocked this off with PTC, stemicmitsar and spladem. More fun on the water although I made 1 wrong turn on the way, this was quickly rectified when I heard the others' voices in a different spot. Thanks for the hide.

Found @ 5:12pm, find # 1951.
While at a nearby event today I was invited to go for a yak ride to find this ones
PTC and I got to paddle around the lake while Spladem floated / swam and walked along behide as well as Squalid on his boogie board. We made our way around from GZ 1 / 2 /3 and then back to the boat ramp. Thanks to Spladem for letting me ride along.
Thanks to sedwickDave for this cache and all the caching fun.

Another quick cache whilst out paddling on the lake this morning. Managed to reverse into the gz which was handy because I doubt we could of managed to turn our two man canoe around in here. Easy find, enjoyable series. TFTC
Find #2 for the day @ 1030...
Out & about with Happy Pants this morning, collecting some caches on the water prior to attending Rebel Acts & Crazy! Nat Girl Engagement Party... This was one of them...
Launched canoe from the jetty near the main car park & skilfully negotiated around the yachting regatta on the lake this morning... After a few strange looks from the local radio controllers, we set off on our epic journey... Completed the series in reverse today & managed to complete this in a cracking time...
Took: Nothing Left: Nothing Signed Log
Thanks sedgwickDave for bringing me here...

Out for a Saturday morning paddle, a beautiful sunny morning with minimal wind, how good is this. Must admit that the model yacht club setting up when I returned weren't super impressed with the lack of wind.
Quick find but I can inderstand the previous finders trepidation about approaching with an inflatable.

Went out this afternoon after Rebel Acts & Crazy! Nat Girl Engagement Party. I thought it was just going to be a test run of Spladems Kayak but we got to do a trip around the lake and pick up 3 boating caches and 1 in the rotunda which was a great way to spend the afternoon. I cant wait to hit up some more kayaking ones in the future.
