I'm not planning on head back our this way any time soon, so time to say goodbye to this lonely cache.
Didn't get the memo about replacing this one till we were at GZ. There is no bus around anymore and wondered the relation to the cache title. There was a car parked by the gate but no one in it so made finding this one a little easier. This one took some time to find as the grass is very long and coords seemed a touch out for us. Log is soaking and we did our best to sign. As already mentioned, cache is a little worse for wear. TFTC!
Can next visitor replace the cache with a mint tin or similar please? Good caching Karma will follow
I've been staring at the caches out in Ragland all year. so today decided to make a morning of it, and go pick some up. I had thought to go up Mt Karioi, but the car park was completely full!!!! so around the coast I continued finding other caches. this one was a quick find, but the container has rusted and the Lid has broken off.
13.30: The description on the GPS did not show the photo: now we understand the meaning of the name of this cache. The coordinates appeared to be some metres off, so we had to consider the hint and it took some time to realize... Well hidden! The little pond down below looks very inviting!
Weather: overcast, 18°C;
Wheelchair: should be no problem;
State: all good.
Thank you!

After a hike up Mt Karioi earlier in the day I had some time to spare so decided to complete the drive back to Raglan by circumnvigating the mountain. A very quick find here, the lid of the mint tin is rusty and the hinges are broken but the logsheet is OK. Signed log, TFTC
There would have been great views if the sun was shining. Love the windy road.
Cheers for the cache.
Cheers for the cache.
even though the bus is long gone the cache remains as a reminder, crappy weather and a quick search then found it, tftc
TFTC. Took a couple of looks to locate the pesky little brighter , itvis there but 12 meters away from coordinates. Lovely day for driving and caching!
After visiting family nearby, it seemed the obvious choice to take the long wY home around Karioi and catch along the way! That bus had been there for aeons, seems strange that it's gone now. Cache was easy find in the second spot I searched, and within a couple metres of where my Garmin said GZ was. TFTC!
Jumped out of the car and headed to GZ to find no cache.
Widened the search and eventually found it 11metres away. Lots of options to match hint.
Good view down over the valley.

A long way to drive for a DNF, but still enjoyed an amazing day. Long search for it. Headed back to Raglan in the dark.
Managed to convince the good Dragon that she needed to come out for lunch to Raglan to blow away the autumn fog of Hamilton, and lucky me she agreed to both lunch and a little Drive around the area.
This was the twelfth cache of the day (doing a cleanup around the Raglan area) and located through a process of elimination (and a pokeee stick) as was determined that this was not going to be a DNF
No sign of the Bus, so theorised that it had driven off to the great garage in the sky.
Thanks for the placement

I was in the area so I thought I might as well take the spyder for a ride on these lovely windy roads. The spyder coped with the lack of seal admirably well.
I actually parked next to the bus for a photo opp and wow the property owner turned up.
His name is Terry BTW and he was very interesting to talk too.
He is pulling the bus to bits for scrap metal.
He lives just down the rd.
The bus used to be an Auckland transport bus and had a Damler/Jaguar engine in it.
Anyway with the clue the cache was easily located.
Pic to follow shortly.
I of course told him about geocaching.
Terry sounds a character

Didn't have this cache loaded in my GPS for some reason but I knew there was one a Ruapuke so when at Te Toto gorge I tried to get the coordinates but not enough phone coverage to use the internet. Phoned home and got the coordinates relayed to me but forgot to ask about the container size or hint.
Spent a while hunting at GZ but no luck.

Number 2 find on our first test of the new cache-mobile. A tourist had stopped to take some photos so we had to wait for them to move on before we could hunt. Luckily it was found no problems.
What a great place to put an old bus!!! Found without any troubles and by far the easiest cache to reach GZ for me today. TFTC.
gah i was out here last night and drove past it in fact am out here alot.... another one to add to my to do list
Very pleased to see this bus get a coat of paint since I visited and couldn't resist a quick photo.
