Definitely not tranquil today! Hasn't stopped plenty of people deciding to camp here though. Took us a little while to make the find and, like previous finders, think this container is in need of urgent replacement before it rusts away.

A rock helped solve the 'how to open' part of this find, but it was fairly easy to find where it was. Lots of campers here this weekend, also lots of weed and algae in the water, smelly too.
Thanks for the placement The Reid'z. A new container is a must here.

Out caching down the the great ocean road with Paddle chick and bullertrout our kiwi group over for the Surf Coast Mega signed log " Team Kiwi" thanks for the placement Rusty lid
Took longer to get the lid open than it did to find the cache. Nice lake but a little too windy to want to be out on it. Log signed as Team NZ. TFTC

Found on Mega trip with Paddle chick and Kiwi Nomad. Thanks for all of the caches. Enjoying the trip. Always wanted to come back to Victoria
*22/10/16, Found @ 7:39 pm, Find # 5840.*
While on my way home from Warrnambool, I stopped at a few different places along the way.
With a slight detour, I headed down to this one. I arrived at the waters edge and looked around,
I know that it is late in the day but looking at the water and across the lake, it wasn't very inviting at all.
It was cold, very gloomy, the waters edge looked terrible and the smell wasn't great at all but there appeared to be some campers here by the tents.
I then headed over to GZ and had a look around, a minute or two later the cache was found.
Now getting the lid off was a challenge in its self and did take a while but I got there in the end and the log was signed.
**Thanks to The Reid'z for placing this cache.**

We were caching with chooknchunk today and this was one of the places we stopped at. The area was very wet after all the rain but we headed down to GZ with chook leading the way. She also made the find and then we all had turns at getting the lid open before chunk flexed his muscles and got it open. The can is very rusty with holes in the bottom which have let all the water in. This cache needs some maintenance.

Enjoyed a day trip exploring the Camperdown area with The Swaggies, and this was one of our stops on the way down. We had been here a few years ago when the works were being done (but before geocaching) and there were plenty of people around back then. Not a soul around today though. Found the cache easily enough, but it is rusting now, with some holes showing in the base. We needed a tool to gently prise the lid off as it had rusted shut. Logbook is damp but we were able to get our names in it. Probably needs a CO check and a new container. TFTC.
Firstly, an apology for my extremely slow logging time (logging this find on 1/7/17).
Today I was driving home from Warrnambool back to Melbourne with the intention of doing a few caches that I would never get the chance to do while in the car with the rest of my family. The highlight of the day was undobutedly Area 51, one of the best caches I've done to date. A find day of driving was had exploring some unknown territory that I have drived past many times before. This cache was the 8th find of 15 finds for the day.
What a nice little spot! Really enjoyed having a look around here.
Thanks The Reid'z

Team Autumn out today on the way to warnambool. The thing I like best about geocaching is that it brings me to these places that I would never have come to otherwise. The lake is lovely and filled with black swans. A hawk (or some bird of prey) flew over and gave us a good close looking at. The geokids gave the playground a twirl. Everybody is happy. TFTC.
My 500th find!!! Yay!!!! Thanks Sean.75 and kenare for my journey so far!! Tftc in a pretty cool place!!
Well done kenbryl on reaching 500 finds!!!

A nice place I haven't been to for a long tme now, less water than I remember. Cache was a nice easy find. Congrats to kenbryl on reaching 500 finds. Tftc
Managed a quick find today as we made our way to Geelong from Warrnambool. The cache was soon located while the kids decided that the playground nearby was a much better option than geocaching. Certainly a great area to come and visit, thanks The Ried'z for the cache.
After attending an event in skipton myself and bushfire headed out to collect a few caches along the way home.
When we decided which way was best to approach we headed over to make a quick find. Returned as best as we could and headed of the the next.
Log signed and returned.

We loved this little lake.
The wind was really ripping through but we located the cache quickly.
Thanks for the hide.

The water level was low enough to walk around the lake. So a great spot and a great walk. Thanks.
Got it, nice hiding place, signed the book. Placed it back in the hiding place for others to find.
Found it! We were out on geocacing adventure... And today we are going wherever the caches take us. What a great spot, no idea this was hear. Ta.
This is a really pretty spot and very well kept. What a shame there is not more water. The GPS was jumping around a lot but once it settled, there was the cache! Thanks for making me stop today.
On my way towards Port Campbell this afternoon in readiness for some caching and an event in Timboon tomorrow, I took a different route to the one we usually take and tried to focus on earthcaches and any other caches I didn't have to deviate too far for. It was a beautiful drive.

Heading to Portland with Super Pop we were stopping to grab any caches that came up.
We pulled up here to plenty of ducks and some swans making the most of the water but doubt if there would be enough to go boating at the moment.
This worked in our favor as there was no one else around so we were free to search.
The cache was found right where the GPS was pointing and although the container looks a bit worse for wear every thing inside was in excellent condition.
We added our names to the log and returned the cache to its hide.
Many thanks The Reid'z for bringing us here.

Out for a drive with the two younger kids and figured we'd come out this way towards Camperdown, picking up some smiley faces along the way to and from Geelong.
Been through here a few times but never actually stopped to take the time to explore a little - and boy, I wasn't disappointed.
Never been here before and a terrific place it is here. Not a soul to be seen here today. Looks also like a great camping spot here too to keep in mind for the future!
Thanks The Reid'z for the cache

TFTC! lovely spot. I could imagine it would be a popular camping spot with a bit more water in the lake.
Accurate coordinates and the hint led to a quick find. The cache and contents weer in good condition. Thanks for the cache The Reid'z.
Great view of lake and Local volcanic mountain. Loved the hiding spot!

Found geocaching on the way home from Ballarat

Find # 4414 @ 2:07 PM. Decided to go for a drive and found this lovely area, TNLN, Left my mark in the log, Thanx for placing this cache....
Picked this one up on the way to Hamilton. All was very quiet until a couple of muggles appeared so some stealth was required. A lovely spot with good amenities and a place we shall return to with water craft. Thanks for showing us this spot The Reid'z. TNLNSL
Stopped off here on out way home from visiting family out west. The cache gave us a reason for a slight detour and a rest break somewhere different for a change. Nice spot, good hide, easy find. Left TB. TFTC.
On a windy day, saw my geocache parents having lunch here. Geomum helped me with this one.... Container is a bit rusty, but looking at the last time it was found, understandable.
Log book still in excellent condition.

Find number #39 on the 3rd night of my 3 day weekend off with Matty.D.
After a BBQ event in Geelong, it was Mount Gambier bound for the two of us, for another BBQ, non caching related for the SA one but of course we had to grab caches there and back!
Appreciate you making us stop here to get a smiley on the way home.
Not much of a view at 9pm and it STANK REALLY BAD.
Easy enough to find though.
Took & left- Nothing. Signed log.
Cheers & T.F.T.C =]
Safe travels and hoppy caching!

Could not find today, spent quite a fair bit looking around hut it appears the site has since been overgrown and the fence that my gps takes me too no longer is freestanding, I'll be coming back through this way in the next week if you want me to have another look at the exact location let me know !
Well done, my first find and will be changing my name for future use. Thanks heaps
Made a detour to this site and only had short time to look for this one. Since GPS conked out mid-search was not looking in the right spot so had to leave it to another time. TFTC The Reid'z.

Found It!. Found it on a wet and windy day while on a caching run and to scout out some more camp sites to use, after a quick walk the cache reviled itself so after signing the log we rehid it a bit better TFTC
Found today on the way to Geelong. Lots or muggles due to being the long weekend. A fantastic spot i never knew existed!
Yep, this is a nice spot and one I would like to revisit to spend more time at. Thanks for bringing us to a place we would have otherwise not know about. (Oh and we found the cache too!)

Bogonghay went one way and I went another after arriving at the Car Park. He had his hands on the cache sooner than I did. Cache was in great cond, we made our mark on the log and replaced. Great spot, few campers here, only one empty handed fisherman that I spoke to , and he was heading back up to the camping spot. Thanks for bringing us here and for the cache. Great view of Mt Elephant from here as well.
On the way to Warrnambool with Sully, we picked up a few caches along the way.
We walked to this one wondering if we were heading the right way. Turns out either way gets you down to it.
We signed the log and returned it to it's spot, thanks Reid'z for this one in a great spot

This cache was made difficult with the heat that day.
After finding a difficult way to get to the cache, the logbook was signed and off to car to enjoy some AC.

I had been meaning to visit this cache for quite a while, and today I eventually got here while visiting the area with CT_ZA.
There were some muggles by the boat ramp as we made our way to GZ. I made the retrieval of the unusual container and we signed the log.
We left soon afterwards as the 34 degree heat was making it uncomfortable. The water was looking inviting - but that big elephant of a mountain in the distance.... maybe climbing right to the 400m top this afternoon is a good idea... (and we did exactly that !)
TFTC, The Reid'z.

Nice place to visit thanks for bringing us here. Cache is in good condition and safely tucked away. Lucky there was sand about for a soft landing as Aus sisso tripped over some loose wire. Once NZ sisso had stopped laughing the cache was quickly in hand.

By reading the comments this place mustn't change this is the coldest windiest wettest even hail, well at least it was found. TFTC.
Dropped in on the way to the inlaws farm. GPS had me fairly close to gz. Had a bit of a look around and the cache was soon in my hands. It was windy enough, could have caught a few waves on the lake I reckon...but I didn't fancy freezing to death. TFTH Reid'z.
Found this one in company with VKC1SR on a very windy winters day on Lake Tooliorook - water very low at moment - fish were'nt biting but nice camp there for few days. TFTC
A nice quick easy find with Sarian. No need for a GPS. A nice couple of days camping and fishing.

Sorry The Reid'z for the generic log but I'm trying to catch up on my logging, I currently have over 1000 to log before hitting some powertrails in the US after the block party next week. As always I enjoy the hunt whether I'm solo or with some of my caching or muggle friends. Thanks to those who have accompanied me to make the day more pleasurable and many thanks The Reid'z for placing this cache.
Nice and easy.
Coming home from a long weekend away at Port Fairy and this was the last cache of the day.

Even though it's sunny the wind is making it still cold! A nice stop to stretch the legs and managed to get this without the muggles fibbing noticing. Thanks
Suscoe was heading home after a delightfully windy trip across the western plains today.
This was our last find number 16 on a great day wandering about securing smilies.
Well this certainly was not a tranquil lake today.
Gale force winds were chopping things up nicely.
Waves breaking out on the lake.
Cache found and log signed.
Thanks to The Reid'z for showing us this place after hearing from many folks about the magnificent trout that live here.

Found by Mary & David at 1410. An unfamiliar area for us. A thrill for Mary to be so close to that mountain. She lived at Darlington 55+ years ago, and used to go into Derrinallum for piano lessons. Surprised by the number of people here fishing from the shore and using boats. Delighted to see our favourite birds, pelicans, too. Our thanks to The Reid'z.
If only we had had more time to stop and admire the view... out with GoShaz on a caching adventure.
Thanks

Found with Mogni on our Geelong girls getaway. I found it after Mogni pointed a likely spot. I was surprised to see so many people there but then remembered it was Easter so of course there would be.

Got a little lost coming here as I think Mr Google doesn't know this lake exists. Probably why it is so good. On the way saw a lamb that was looking forward to roast this Sunday. Great treasure in a container not seen before and signed Scoby Doo. Thanks The Reid'z
A welcome stop for the kids on the way to Warrnambool, they enjoyed the playground while we found the cache. A few people out camping still, looks like a peaceful spot. Thanks for the cache and bringing us to a new place, left a trackable.
Found at 12:30 PM GAFF1. We stopped here to have lunch. Admired our surroundings and the number of ducks on the water. We noticed the fees for camping - $15 per adult per day seems a bit steep for here though.

Driving westward in convoy with team Pprass with the ultimate destination for the end of the week being the ‘Big Little Event at Nelson. Wow what a great spot, didn't even know it existed. Looks like a great camp spot, looks like it could get very busy though. TFTC.
Lots of campers here, it was easy enough to sign the log unnoticed because they were all far to intent on what they were doing to notice. tftc
Checking messages on our way South going home, a cache has just been published on the Camperdown Limore Rd. Must find a few more minutes on this hot night to test our nite caching skills. Didn't fall in the water, or down steep slopes etc. Greatest hazard were the gazillions of insects entering every possible opening no matter how small. Found cache and no log entries so claim FTF.
Unable the recover Local Heroes cache on a recent visit, have our box goodies in the car today so hopefully will be rewarded with our second night cache this evening.
