A lovely trip to the beach. Found with a little assistance. Unfortunately water and slug damaged.
Had to head out to Whg Heads again tonight, so made a detour to look for this one on the way out. It's been almost 500 days since it was last found, but I was hopeful it would still be there.
The flax didn't look very inviting, so I made my way right down to the beach and then along to try and get a better bearing on where I should be heading. Once I had that sorted, it was a bit of a mission to scramble up the bank and into the bush, but once this was accomplished, the route to GZ was clear. Unfortunately, it soon became clear that the cache had been muggled, as parts of it were scattered widely.
I managed to find the main part and the lid and a pen and one toy and put them all back together. A bit more searching around revealed a very sad, snail eaten log book, so put this in as well, but there was no chance of signing it. Sorry, I didn't have anything on me to put in as a replacement log.
I had never actually been down to this little beach before, so thx for giving me a reason to visit somewhere new. TFTC

After bush bashing following the GPS moving gorse finally...bleeding and scared arrived at gz easy as find as camo all blown off...ful of water and log wet..signed as best possible thanks for an interesting cache and agreat area to visit
Bush bashed through to gz. Easy find once there. Container full of water and log book saturated and not signable. Container has a hole in it. Needs attention. Interesting spot. Thanks for bringing us here
Was an awful experience. Maybe due to my gps? But we kept going in circles and didn't find anything + it isn't suitable for children.
Past quite a few small puriri trees but GPS had us heading towards a big one. Guess it was small once :-p Was an easy find after bush bashing trough the gorse. TFTC.
I'm up in my home town of Whangarei for the holiday period and headed out this morning to the Parua Bay area, and found a few caches while there. Parked at the end of the road and my way down the grassy path, through the flax (and gorse) to GZ, where the nice sized cache was quickly spotted. TFTC!

#2024, Quick Find. Saw a sea-lion basking on a sunny rock on the way to the next cache. TFTC
At last - a decent size cache...don't see many these days. Thanks for the placement.
Found with Happyfacedbandit. Such a pretty area! The "path" to this cache was quite easy to find once we got past the first few flax. Lots of room for goodies but we took/left nothing this time around. Thanks

Didn't really need the extra hill climb after Mt. Aubrey, but a relatively straightforward find. Log was wet so signed further in. Found the neighbourhood almost scarily picturesque - felt like the bit in Voyage of the Dawn Treader when they get to the island where the dufflepuds live. Very well maintained and a nice little beach. Happy Earth cache day!
"What! There's more caches down this road?" my buddy said. A very productive little road. A bit off ducking and weaving required here to choose a good route. Rewarded with a nice puriri and an easy find. Thanks for yet another cache Nick
Felt like Rambo wading through the flora and fauna but not a difficult find - cache was lying out in the open
TFTC
It had very little swappies in it so I added a few to it.
Such an awesome location

Grabbed this one going back up the hill from nook navigation. Mrs shark eyes was complaining of the gorse so mr shark eyes had to step up and retrieve the cache. Was no problems and bonus was seeing a large wood pigeon in a nearby tree. Tftc
A great spot at the end of the road, nice to find a large container here, found with Yeetrees while exploring The Nook, TFTC.
Took the greenway straight to the beach, to enjoy a sheltered walk in the lee on this blustery day.... what's this? a bit of bright plastic washed up on the beach? NO! it was a nudibranch!
Then meandered along an alternate route up to the cache; nice to see the plantings getting well established. TFTC

10.10am. Not long to find this one either but got wet feet in the grass on the way. Surprised to see all the mown grass.
Thank you. David.
Thank you. David.
Out for the morning on the water, visited Limestone Island and then as the tide was right we came in here. After negotiating the trees and the flax we found the cache. great tree which is hardly visible form the water view so we didn't know where we were going. Nice to find a good sized cache. TFTC
We approached this cache by boat which made it more of an adventure. Found some stairs nearby to help with the climb up the cliff, then made a trail through the long grass and flax...arrived at GZ, and found cache. Nice to see the Puriri up close. TFTC
looked every were with low tide and nothing that i could see apart from a shoe
Had a great walk along to GZ with Butchie Bum, really pleased to see a large cache as we need some more for a challenge we are trying to complete. Amazing tree and yet again another great spot for a cache. Thanks
Thought we had been beaten to the cache after seeing a familiar looking car in the carpark but turned out to be fisho's .Found the generous sized cache with ease thanks.
