Great cache! Couldn't get logbook out as needed tweezers. The lid of the logbook isn't there anymore. Great hide! Tftc
Up in this area for a few days and having a great time walking and geocaching. We walked the Reotahi coastal walk then climbed up and walked along the ridge back to Little Munroe Bay. Great spot here - cache found by Mr Pinocchio. Theres no lid on it?? TFTC
Whilst Tjay and the oldest went to home bay for the tree planting the youngest and I took the small walk around the base of Mt Aubrey. Weather was amazing and our youngest loved being free to explore the track.
This morning, I set out to complete the Mount Aubrey walkway, leaving from the carpark that we'd stayed overnight in the campervan. I must have gone around the tree four or five times before I thought to change direction. Sure enough, I spotted the hide from the new angle. Log dry, all good. Signed, and returned as found. Tftc!
Spied on the 2nd circumnavigation. needs new log sheet! What a grand tree. TFTC!
Heading out to the Heads for a walk on Christmas Day. The impending rain meant I decided against walking up Manaia so I opted for some finds at a lower elevation.Having just from dry to wet in the space of two minutes I was glad for the excuse of some tree cover, albeit briefly. I clambered down and around and as I came back up I came face to face with the mask. Thanks Riser5#4877Logged using Cachly.
Find #700!!Found while walking Te Araroa - new Zealands long pathway from Cape Reinga to Bluff. Thank you to all the cache owners who place and maintain these caches, and thank you to all the people who help me and others on the way. Luckily a quick find here as I was nearly running at this point to get the boat across the heads. Very creative cache which was in good condition
A quick circumnavigation of the tree and there it was, staring right at me.
Love it when that happens!
Thanks for putting this here for us to find

Awesome container! Definitely helps to approach this one from the right angle. TFTC
That was a nice easy one. Good for kids of all ages. TFTC 2 October 2021 3:56 pm
Great hiding place! It took us a while to find. Very dry considering all the rain this week
Amazing container! It took us few loops around the tree, but after while we found it
Found on our walk up mt aubry and around track back to little Munro bay. Glad to have a find for the final cache of the day after a few dnf. Thanks for the hide
We were expecting this - and it’s even nicer than we thought. Well camouflaged on the host too. TFTC
Found while passing through on my TA thru-hike. This is a beautiful cache for a beautiful section of trail!
My favourite geocache to date. Took some finding as blended in so well. Great work!
We found our 2nd geocache. The log is so small, it's in a special compartment in the back.
Loved finding this after a long hike! Great little cache, very in tune with its natural surroundings! TFTC ️
Also stopped here while traversing Mt Aubrey which was a rather slippery hike due to the rain last night. Tftc!
Photo proof so Riser 5 does believe me that the log is full! Sorry, didn’t have a replacement one today.
Great caching container. Managed to squeeze one more log entry in. Definitely needs new log book.
We had to explain that to our new caching recruits are not all filled with swag for this one. Tftc!
Another cache found with our new young caching crew: six and eight year old Ophelia, Sefton and Humphrey. This one required an experienced cacher's eye! TFTC.
Loved the protector guarding the cache! Log too small to sign so took a picture instead. TFTC
We walked past this one when we were here last time. Had to get this. Spotted the signature cache holder. Thanks for bringing us here
Great cache enjoyed the walk to Gz the and loved the camo face lol thanks for a great cache
The kids and I came down from Okaihau to the Reotahi snorkel day. Picked up my other son from McCleods Bay to join the fun. We had a great swim and saw lots of little fish in the reserve. I hadn't snorkeled in years and really enjoyed it. We then walked the loop track up to Mt Aubrey starting from Reotahi. It was a long walk but the views were amazing. I loved the unique hide, fantastic job. Thanks Nick
I joined up with hotrodpete this hot summer's afternoon to take a hike around Mt Aubrey and look for the caches around there. I've only been up Mt Aubrey once before, and that was just up and down from the summit, so it was nice to walk the full loop today. I went in behind the tree and soon saw the cache staring back at me! A cool hide, TFTC!
After finding the Mt Manaia walkway closed I came for a wander along here. Very scenic walk. Cache was well camoed! TFTC!
On a geocaching mission over Mt Aubrey and around the coast track to Reotahi this afternoon to see if we could log a few more local caches. Down off the top of Mt Aubrey there was a little less wind and the walk along the coastal track was very pleasant. This cache was quickly located in its "tree hide" peeking out from among the trunk cavities.
Found this one on our walk over the Mt Aubrey loop. A really cool cache, nicely hidden. TFTC
Great cache. Didn't spot it a first but then there it was stating me in the face.
