This cache will be archived for some time owing to work being done where the cache was hidden. The block was burnt down some time ago and a new one is being constructed.
Well, this cache certainly took us by surprise. The structure that the cache is fixed to was totally burnt out. The cache itself is safe and in place but I expect that it will be torn down in the coming days or weeks.
The place was packed after two big events in Surat & there were a couple of RV'ers having a cuppa & looking in the direction I'd need to take so claimed the site as a waymark & left it to them. Next time. Thanks.
This was a very, very busy area today and the first place we looked we weren't sure if the cache was still there. However, we got a heads-up from some friends and made the find and sign. TFTC
Travelling around Australia in our Caravan with our cat.
Camped at Roma today we set out to explore towards Surat being chauffeur driven by Sylken.
Interesting caching and interesting touring through this area, particularly with friends. [^]

We were delighted to catch up with our dear friends FelixII from WA and will be spending a few days caching with them in the area around Roma.
It is amazing that the original cache survived the recent inferno. Because of the new placement it was easy again to make a discreet find even with several muggles not far away.
Another nice hide and easy find thanks jpgordo[^]

On checking this cache we found the previous position burnt to cinders. We have moved it a little away into the next building.
Easy find but cache owner may want to relocate. Building has extensive fire damage.
3:34:00 PM. Heading south on our adventure. Got to love drivebys when towing a caravan. A good way to break up our trip. Some days we don't make many miles due to stopping for caches. We were going to camp here for the night but it was so hot we didn't think the other couple would like the sound of our gennie going all night so signed log and kept going. Nice park. Thanks jpgordo for placing this cache.
#1391 - quick find by as we realised we were camped nearby and had not downloaded two close by caches. It was very, very windy so we packed up our computers and raced over to checked this cache out. The sky looks impending but no thunder yet. All part of the fun of riding a fully loaded bicycle around Australia and geocaching at the same time. NOTE: no power at the Fishermen's free camp. Turned off at the locked mains. Toilets are generally good. M reckons I had been s...itting on it.
Today we travelled from Roma to St George using geocaching as a guide.
Thanks to all cache owners for placing and maintaining these caches for our enjoyment.

Well thought we would be camping here the night, but sorry there's far too many campers and its only 3 pm.
So it was a dash and a quick find retrievel sign the log, and replaced as found. And on to the next of the tour of Surat.

Left Roma at 0530 for my big day. Arrived in Goondiwindi via Mungindi and finished caching at 1800 and 625K's of driving. Had plenty of rest stops and took heaps of photos. Day 4 of my western adventure. Now at the mid point and head south then east tomorrow. Quick find on this one. No one up and about. Good hide for this one as it was a quick grab. Looked under and saw it so I could be quick.

Found it. Nice easy one, I do agree with previous posts about not an appropriate spot.
I drove past this cache twice today.
Once on my way to work down near Cecil Plains and again on my way back to Roma.
Both times I didn't stop as I believe there were more caravans parked here than there is in all the caravan parks in Roma!!
I may have to wait for a quieter time for this cache.

Like many others we stopped to have a look, but didn't hang around after seeing where it was.
Not a favourite option to lurk around toilets in daylight with many muggles around.
Pity it couldn't be relocated to a more family friendly spot in this top looking park.

Muggle Central! There's no way we were going to be able to get this one......No, wait a minute, there it is, no-one is watching, grab it, signed the log, replaced the cache....too easy. Thanks for the cache. Too bad the cache wasn't large enough to accommodate Penelope Pig or the bear.
North Qld 2013. Day 4 was Roma to a rest area west of Emerald. A very wet afternoon. There were defiantly plenty of muggles camping around here, but with people coming and going concentrating on their own thing it was possible to nip in a deal with this one without drawing any attention to the location. Most people have things to do that keep them busy. Thanks.

Found at 11:14 AM GAFF1. We were surprised to see so many caravans here! It was like a little village with people pottering around, getting fires started, chatting with neighbours. Would have been difficult to get a spot for the night if we wanted one.
We were dreading having to retrieve the cache as we have had similar experiences and it stank! However this place isn't smelly at all .
Thanks jpgordo.
Feedback: We noticed that on 6/03/2013 you found your own cache! That is not really the done thing in this game.

Even with our clever disguise of a caravan, and, as we were expected elsewhere we could only manage a cursory search. If we ever come this way again we will remember this camping spot and find this cache
Don't know if all the dozens of grey nomads camped right at GZ were fishermen or not but they were sitting by campfires cooking, drinking and talking and much too close to seek the cache. As it was I felt a bit obvious as I loitered in the hope of some space but alas it was not my day. Great camp spot as evidenced by the numbers ensconced there Thanks jpgordo
Found with Bedmaker.
Lovely spot, we are definitely coming back here to camp one night.

What a great little spot this is. We found the cache and then as it was close to lunchtime we decided to stay a while and enjoy the area.
There was plenty of bird life that hung around hoping for few bread crumbs but not that many fish today. We already had plans to get a bit further south so we added this to our list of places to stop overnight on our next trip out this way.

Here from Canada, doing a bit of caching as we explore Australia....
What a great spot. Lots of folks camped here, we would have made camped here too if it was later in the day!
Thanks for showing us the beautiful spot jpgordo!
