had a thorough look around this area. Lots of rubbish. DNF. CO appears to have been inactive for over 1 year.
Might be there, might not be. Not the sort of place I am prepared to rummage in, really wants rethinking.
Felt too dodgey hunting through all the rubbish in these bushes with trains racing by so closely.
Found this one back in May and only when I pulled up to 'find' this one I realised I had forgotten to log

Have been to Levin off and on for the last few months and this was one of the caches that has eluded me.
I noted that the cache had been recently been replaced and also noted other logs re cache location relative to GZ co-ords given.
Sure enough expanding my search I soon had the cache in hand.
This is a very satisfying find as it now means that for the greater Levin area we now have it all in SMILIES!!!!! YAY and as this is not our local area it makes it even more satisfying!!!
TFTC and keeping it maintained.

Got it. More like 10 m south of gps coords, look around a table missing its centrepiece!
Have been here three times looking and just can't seem to find it. Any other hints? Thanks. .
Not the easiest find but persistence paid off. Have grabbed the Tb and will take it on the next part of my trip south.
Stopped here today and after reading the last log decided that the search area might be a bit large so didn't get out of the car. Will add to my watch list and see how future cachers get on.
Found cache approximately 200m south of gz in a 1.5 litre camoed screw top container. Dropped trackable I collected ages ago in Nelson. TFTC
#262. Up in Levin visiting the inlaws. Thought we would give this one a crack since CO has recently replaced. There was quite a bit of rubbish around but something caught my eye. Luckily I had Coops Jr with me to retrieve as there are obstacles for taller seekers... A lot bigger than I expected also... tftc!

No luck here for us today. Cache well hidden or muggled. Will be back at a later date to have another look. Thanks for bringing us to this lovely spot.
Thought it might be cool it be FTF the replacement - but could not locate. Hope someone else spots it soon!
As this cache has been out of action for too long and the cache owner has not responded or performed any maintenance, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to un-archive it.

This cache appears to be in need of owner intervention. I'm temporarily disabling it, to give you, the owner an opportunity to check on the cache, and take whatever action is necessary. Please respond to this situation in a timely manner (i.e., within 30 days) to prevent the cache from being archived for non-responsiveness.
Out on a mish to Kimbolton with Nic-Jay and collecting some caches on the way there and back. No luck here for us today. Will keep an eye on this one for next trip North.
Out on a road trip collecting caches on the way to and from an event in Kimbolton with Skaga. Sadly we couldn't find this one.
A road trip with tommygun9 was decided for today so we set off from work at lunchtime for a trip down the line to Levin in a truly dreary, wet and damp winters day.
No joy here today, up and down near GZ, no find

No dogs here. Nice picnic table. A good spot for a cuppa and bite to eat on this epic caching day (37th find today!). The log is pretty damp. TFTC
Thought the recent torrential rain would have cleaned up this place. It has but it is still unsalubrious. Signed log TNLN
Actually the fourth cache I remember at this spot, one in the stones on top of the wooden retaining wall, magnetic one under the lid of the rubbish tin, and the most recent one in the palm tree. But, an interesting little area with good parking so well done to keep the spot active.

Found this on the way to Wellington. The cache is kind of soggy, could do with a upgrade.. Good spot

Visited this cache site today with Canadian friends. Sorry to report it is in a disgusting state the area has been used as a lavatory did not dare start sifting through leaves although all GPS's agreed on the location. This is to let you know that the Council has been told to clean the place up so it could be that your cache will be disturbed.
Quick and easy find. Did with Wandering Dragons at night on way back to Pasadena Park
Cache # 1,544 - did this with Crystal Fairy on a night caching trip in the area. Took a little while to locate amidst all of the accumulated rubbish, including someone's shorts. The area is in serious need of a CITO, and I will be surprised if the cache lasts too long.

Had a little trouble with this one - someone was parked up close to the GZ.
Looked around a few bushes a bit further away until they left, then moved a little closer to where I thought it might be.
Didn't take long to find after that.

See found log. Could do with container that seals against moisture and removing the outer bag. Unfortunately there is a bug with needs maintenance logs that they show dates in US time and can't be changed, date of this log should of course be the 18th.

Found the cache completely exposed with no use of the hint material.
The oưter cover is of a type which tends to hold moisture rather than protect from it and the container also does not keep oưt dampness.
Returned cache where it appeared to belong and added cover as per hint.

A difficult find. GPS coordinates were out by several meters and the cache was almost undistinguishable from all the rubbish in the area.

Icky icky lots of rubbish... Think someone had a booze party here. Found the cache after searching everywhere as our gps went a little crazy. Found with hamishnz and gabig50. TFTC.
Not easy to find, this one...but finally found it with Stefthevet and hamishnz in the evening. TFTC!
Found with Geco72. Apologies for brevity, compiling logs almost a month later. TFTC.
After a stop for tea Davycrockpot and I took off back to Palmy and grabbed just a few more caches. Got it, and yes a dog was barking madly in the background. TFTC
Stopped for a quick bite and grabbed this one at the same time. Luckily it wasn't pouring with rain at the time like it was last time we stopped to grab one here - Mr RiffRaff got very wet, while Mrs RiffRaff *ahem* stayed dry. LOL. - nothing + duck SL TFTC
Woof woof!! Found on our way home from the mega. TFTC

Had stopped for this one once before, but no one wanted to rummage around in the bushes on a wet day, so we moved on. No problem today - a lovely sunny day. Found after a short search.
Left a pet rock - a gopher. TFTC

Day 2 of our Mega roadtrip to Auckland. It had started to rain but we just took the umbrellas out. Not exactly umbrella terrain but the trees gave us enough protection to find the cache without them. The logbook has been replaced by a much larger one and has been put in a larger bag so it was quite easy to spot. Thanks for the cache.

A fairly quick find after sending our granddaughters in to find the cache. They then showed us the easy way in. TFTC
I should have worn a spare pair of underpants when looking for this one because a train came roaring by and scared the absolute dickens out of me. Nearly soiled myself. Found the cache after a couple of minutes of searching. atiriap did a decent job drying out the cache. Thanks for the hunt.
Quick cache find. Did notice on this wet day none of the bags had been sealed back up. Tfhc

Waited out a another motorist before accessing the cache. Replaced log with a write-in-the-rain paper log in new plastic bag. TFTC

It's very wet. I had to come back a second time as a whole heap of motorhomers turned up.
Found it but its too wet to sign. Lots of travellers in their motorhomes were there too so I came back to this area later. I see this log has been wet for awhile so Ill get a new bag for it next time I pass.
An enjoyable day out with tmann421, magicmannz & co along with Dora the Explorer. Found but log is very wet, managed to sign name TFTC
#4444. The log was wet, but able to sign on the piece of paper geodatum left in the cache. Did a spot of CITO at GZ. TNLNSL. TFTC.
geodatum's piece of paper was still nice and dry so I signed that, but everything else was wet. TFTC
Don't know about barking mad, cache definitely sopping mad! So saturated, the log is impossible to write on. We put in a new piece of damp proof paper - but not sure how long that will last. Definitely needs maintenance - as already noted. TFTC

Found during Saturday morning rainy day. Nice hide, but the cache was full of water. As the previous log "needs maintenance"
I try to write my nick to logbook , but it is realy hard. And it is difficult to unpacked the wet logbook.
Nice and quiet location.

Water is getting inside cache container so new container is needed. Log book is soaked.
There was a muggle car at the rest stop but luckily away from GZ so I was able to go for this one. A quick find but I didn't attempt to sign the log as it was soaking wet. I have a photo if CO would like proof of find.

Wasn't able to complete this one earlier in the day as there was a muggle parked nearby but no problems later on my return visit
Found as we headed south. No hounding going on today.
After a bit of site orientation this became a straightforward find; cache in order, log signed, safely re-hidden.
Not the cleanest of areas - a candidate for some CITO action.
TFTC found with team cacher Sweet P too
