This puzzle was mentioned in one of the FB caching groups and, having piqued my interest as an audio engineer, I soon had a solution. Today I was in the area and hoped to make a find, but no joy. There was an obvious hiding place right where my GPSr was pointing but it didn't reveal anything, nor did any of the other obvious places of concealment within a 10 to 15 metre radius, so Blind Freddy BFJ strikes out again.
On the way back from the Dogs Head Trail, I dropped by here in the dead of night. Was expecting all quiet but there was a constant stream of 4WDs blasting past the hospital and charging off into the bush. Even at 1am there was a group of 4WD's hanging around outside. Only a deluge cleared them away, which gave me the chance to head over to GZ with my torch.
The log was drenched and an unsignable clump of mache'. Fortunately I had a note pad, so dried out the container and replaced the log with a fresh one.
Greta cache and puzzle.

Cache full of water, maybe the fire hoses to save the nearby buildings filled up the container.
Found on a nice summer's day , with temperatures in the mid 20s. With Shaneo58. Cache was in a burnt out area, container not melted, but full of water. resqued a TB as it was rusting and lost it chain. Log signed and caches replaced as found. Thanks For The Cache TeamSenz

Found it while out caching with Bill Hill 531. Cache was soaking wet. Probably from Fire Brigade outting out Bushfires.Nice hide. TFTC Team Senz.
We're so glad to finally mark this one off as found!
This track has mystified us until just a few weeks ago, when we came across something that we had never seen before, and gave it a try. We found the right tool, and it seemed to confirm that we were on the right track, but it looked like we needed to change the music a bit. We downloaded another tool and did this pretty quickly, and retried it, finally finding some co-ordinates. They didn't appear quite right, but we were able to work out the location nonetheless.
Today we drove out here to find it, and even though it was dark, we were able to find it easily. TFTC!

Found today while coming out here to do some caches on our Mountain Bikes, nice spot to come for a ride to get some caches, 7 to be exact. Found at the end of our approx 10km Bike ride because we couldn't find I the first time.

We came on mountain bikes today for the puzzles, after a couple of nudges at some recent events made me look at the trio here again. Parking at the hospital we rode a loop in and out of the bush, probably pedalling out about 7km on a beautiful day that was really warming up a lot by the time we were done. Surprisingly didn't see any mosquitoes, maybe they could smell us (TeamDEET) coming??
This puzzle had me cold, I basically had to instructed what to do for it, but was pretty impressed when the coords materialised.....
We missed this on the way in, but as we knew we were coming back didn't look too long, and a PAF gave us a nudge as well. When we returned, the GPS took us to a different spot (coords reading 0m) and we just reached in for the cache. I blame the satellites! TFTC TeamSenz and Cutsprocket

I've used many offensive words trying to work this out. As one of the closest caches to my house, it has been a thorn in my side for a frustratingly long time. I have tried everything I could think of, I've had my daughter working on it, and I've still been none the wiser. Eventually I weakened and asked for help, but I still found myself lost. In the end I was virtually talked through the process, "Ughh, what the? How did...."
Long story short, I have coordinates, and I must've walked my dog so close to this cache so many times, but now I've found and signed the log. But I never would've done this on my own in a million years.

Did we just find whispers? We did just find whispers! After multiple attempts and trying to solve the puzzle, a little bit of help from Kingfisher_au we have found it! Tftc fp given
Out with Snakepiters to find this cache. We spent time solving this puzzle and today we were able to find gz and claim our prize. Fav point alloc. We are enjoying our time using Kurri Kurri as our base. Thanks to TeamSenz for hiding this cache and adding to our enjoyment of the area.
After setting up camp at the Kurri Kurri sports club we ventured out with pprass, Liz and Bruce, snakepiters & coongoola to find a few caches, we headed out in convoy.
We found a combination of puzzles & traditionals, finishing up on Sugarloaf Mountain for lunch.
GZ has had a fire through here, one of our group made a call & permission was given to replace this cache.
I'm glad I was with a group today as the whispers were not helping me .
Thanks for placing this cache TeamSenz

We're camped at the sports ground in Kurri and enjoying the wonderful weather and mountains of geocaches.
This one was replaced after the original had been destroyed.

While i haven't actually solved this puzzle yet, i keep working at it. Previous log states that recent bushfire activity has destroyed the cache at GZ. Could the CO please replace the cache, as i am looking forward eventually solving the puzzle and finding the cache

Decided to have a go yesterday but cannot figure out what exactly we have to do. I decided to download the recording to my laptop and we ase trying to change the frequency, tempo, pitch and speed in audacity. it may take us a while to figure this one out but we have started to try and crack the code. Can anyone help us out in what to do in this cache. we listened to the recording and followed the original coordinates to the tree. does the coordinates of the tree and what is said in the recording have something in common? We will have another go another time. We are also still trying to change the recording on audacity to hope we can figure out what is said and if it gives away coordinates. Oh well in the mean time I will continue to edit the recording to hope to get something out of it. we are only beginners(only finding 35 caches in the Maitland and Cessnock area) but love to try new and different things around town. if anyone can help it would be highly appreciated.
thanks

Having arranged collection of certain high difficulty puzzles with Team Canary while in town we had a whisper this was close so headed over. A quick find was made and we completed the signing duties. TFTC.
My tenth cache on a day out with Bella at Waggy chasing high Difficulty caches.
We were virtually driving past so this became a quick detour and find after a quick solve. Now to find lunch!?!

Found at 8:41 AM GAFF1 in the company of Team Nurse Hayley.
We tried searching for this cache 2.5 years ago, but the cache had been muggled. Today we walked straight up to GZ and grabbed it without a pause. I like this sort of camo - makes it look like rubbish which hopefully stops muggles bothering with it.
Thanks TeamSenz.

I looked at this puzzle a long time ago and tried a fair few things. But nothing worked. Trying again recently I got a hint (then a description) of how to crack it. And shortly after had the answer. That was pretty amazing.
I came out here after work and saw no snakes, though it is probably one of the better caches to get a bite on. Which I did off some large blow flies, they hurt, so after signing I got out of there as quick as I could.
Thanks for the different puzzle and cache!

As a novice cacher I had a look at this, and for some reason re-recorded the sound, and then went to went experimenting on it in a variety of ways, which for some reason all proved fruitless HAHA what an idiot. I then retired it to the too hard basket, despite being so ridiculously close to an answer it wasn't funny. These days, after a couple of thousand finds, I'm down to the last 60 caches within a 50km or so radius and so I find myself rediscovering the contents of the too hard basket and having another try. I started from scratch, discovered my initial recording error, and then sent the file to my wife's cousin who is a sound engineer and asked for some help. In hindsight, the outcome was hilarious. She cleaned the track right up. Like, 'really' cleaned it up. Lol. Still no closer to a solution. PAF time. I explained the many things I had tried, and the CO agreed that I had in fact been very close before, and maybe I should just back myself and probe a bit harder. So I did, and within a couple of minutes I had some coords. I can't believe I stopped short of this the first time.. A quick find today in the obvious spot. What a clever couple Team Senz are - I once again feel like I need to come with FPs up my sleeve every time I do one of your caches. FP awarded (again). This is perhaps one of my most favourite of yours. It's a whole extra level of clever. TNLN TFTC
Noticed I have never logged this one found with AussieBen and Scalex9 after much working out to crack this easy when you know how
Found it, had this one worked out for awhile with kingfisher_au. Nice to finally get it. Tftc
Have had previous experience with this theme before but still took sometime to relocate the tools and remember the method that lead to the numbers being whispered in our tone deaf ear.
Had a nearby visit not so long ago. There were a few puddles in the parking area that I managed to avoid. Walked in and checked a few likely spots before finding the right one. Signed and replaced. As previous finders have noted the listed Tb not present. Thanks Teamsenz for the puzzle and hide.

Time to grab a few in the Cessnock area. Had solved this one, or should I say our son solved it, a long time ago then forgot about it. Today was the day to go get it. A straight forward find. Thanks for maintaining this one TeamSenz.
I had done a very similar puzzle before, and thought I knew exactly what to do - but hmmm it ain't working?!? In the end, the CO told me I had a resolution issue. An amazing feeling when the co-ordinates are revealed - seems like magic! I'm curious to know how the effect is achieved?
Weirdly (based on how few finds this has had), there seemed to be a GeoTrail right to GZ. Maybe some animals take this path?

This puzzle was solved in January 2013, nearly 20 months ago, and only today do I get up here to find it. How slack!!!!!
Anyway, the cache was found quickly enough, with a new log. Can I claim a FTF(NewLog)?
I enjoyed the puzzle. TNLNSL TFTC

DNF at 4:40 PM. Found a stump with a green shopping bag lying next to it. Was it in that? Puzzle was very difficult to solve until I was given a shove. Still have the bruises in my back [xx(]
I (Chukymum) solved this puzzle a few weeks ago. It took ages to solve - there were too many options on the programme I used and I think I ended up confusing the issue After confirmation from a fellow cacher that I was on the right track, I started from scratch and had the co-ords in no time. One of those der moments!
We were heading up to Cessnock today so finally had a chance to finish it off. Our GPS batteries decided to die as we got out of the car and after a frantic search for the spares, we admitted defeat and headed for a nearby supermarket to buy more! Back to the spot and after going around in circles for a while and checking for snakes every time we put our feet down, we soon spotted a likely looking hiding spot.
We took a couple of travel bugs to continue their journey.
Great cache - definitely deserves its rating!

Our 8063rd overall find.
This is one of those caches that it pays to listen to little snippets of information at events and when caching with others and on podcasts. After enough nudges I found what I was looking for in the most unlikely places. A neat puzzle and a nice quick find today.
Thanks Cutsprocket for the cache.

Ok so I can't take credit to figuring out the co-ords! I have to give it all the Darth!!! I have no idea how you did it, but once I figured it out, it was extremely rewarding holding the cache in my hand. I thought this cache deserved a trackable so I placed one in it.
I remember when this was published, I recognised those ethrerial sounds and happened to already have the necessary tools to pull sense out of chaos. Six months earlier, it would have been complete gibberish to me.
Being over 100km from home, it had to sit on the shelf back then but this week we decided to get out of the Sydney's winter and head north so it was time to complete a few solved puzzles.
We arrived on this damp afternoon and after a very short walk, bagged the cache and made our mark.
Nice puzzle, TftC.

Not what we were expecting at all, we listened over and over until sounds of lingering spirits filled our dreams. We decided on a change of tactic before insanity set in, this proved more rewarding and it started to feel like we were on the right track. Progress was slow but after we confirmed we were heading in the right direction, we attacked the problem in earnest and the solution was uncovered. Great work Cutsproket a nice mix of Frustration, enjoyment and amazement, well done. TFTC.
Mr C has been trying to solve this one for a while and insisted on playing the noise constantly to see if he could work anything out. It was starting to freak out Mrs C & the dog so he asked for a little help from Darth. He suggested what free programme to run it through and suggested what we should do and bingo! All was revealed - seriously Cutsprocket, how do you even do that???? We took off early this morning and soon had the cache in hand. It is always great to have a different sort of puzzle to work out especially something as unique as this one. A fav point for us! TFTC.

When I saw this puzzle published, I thought 'about time someone put out an audio based puzzle'. After listening and playing around with it a bit, I soon had the solution only a couple of days after it was published...but I was in Blue Mountains getting ready for a wedding...and knew someone would beat me to it! Today on a caching run I was eager to stop by and find the cache, and once at GZ, the cache indeed was found well hidden away.
This is a very nice puzzle all round. I loved the method of the solution...and especially the recording.

Found at around 9:15 pm.
This cache is so much fun to do at night.
I jumped out of the car, armed with my pen, loaded up the app and the torch app and made my way to GZ...in sandals.
It wasn't that bad. But it was frustrating because I'd have to switch from the torch app to the geocaching app and work out where to walk and then switch back.
Each time I stopped to check the direction I could hear random pieces of bark and probably animals walking around.
Finally got to GZ and just knew where it had to be; even in the dark.
Lols, started thinking at that point about the way I figured it all out and started thinking about ghosts and stuff in the forest.
Remembering the previous post mentioned ants, I searched and there were ants.
Took out the cache and was disappointed in myself for not bringing a TB with me. I want to offload all the TB's I've got this weekend but I just didn't know what I'd find in the dark. Didn't take anything or leave anything but the cache is well stocked.
Fumbling between torch and pen and signing, got it all done, quickly put it back as it was found and made a run for the car.
Cut my foot on the way back. This was a great cache from beginning to end. Definitely a must to do a night I reckon.
Thanks Cutsprocket for this beast of a cache.

Cutsprocket, you are a genius.
It took me a little while but I got there.
I originally recorded it off my iPhone but obviously came up with nothing.
Anyhow, just got it solved and I'll either go collect the prize on Thursday or Friday night.
Thank you Cutsprocket.

Worked the coordinates out about a week ago and decided to go and check it out this morning...
Downloaded a free program but found out i was using it the wrong way, But after a bit of a nudge in the right directions i soon had the coordinates in front of me.
Bit of a drama at GZ when i was bitten by a bulldog ant, and talk about painful. I also found 3 others on me but fortunately they had hold of my clothes and not me. They didn't want to let go of me in a hurry either.
Other than that, The cache was found without any problems.
Still puzzled as to how you put this puzzle together.

After working out the coordinates, we headed out this arvo to claim the find. The GZ was muddy and slippery because of the rain, but once we got to the hider hole the cache was soon logged and replaced, then it was back to the car for some shelter from the rain. This cache was something different from the normal, which makes it unique. Good job cutsprocket.
First things first. I need to book an appointment with a specialist to get my hearing checked as I cant hear anything in the recording that even resembles a coord..........
Well That IS a cool and Unique cache.
An interesting puzzle that I hope you explain to me how you did it when we meet.
It took forever, and many many listens that kinda spooked the household.
I had no audio programs on my computer with which to analyse the file with, so that was my first step. Finding a free program. I got one and it worked well and had many many filters that just served to confuse the situation.
A nice and neat hide was found, and logged early in the morning before the muggles came out.
Thanks for a great caches, cutsprocket. Considering that this is your first, you have set the bar quite high for yourself, but I can't wait for the next one.
