Mozzies - absolutely Bush bashing - absolutely Found it strictly by directionThanks for the fun
It was a bit of a search around the area but found it after about 5 minThanks Tyler and nana
Another relatively easy find. Just had to expand the search area by a few metres and spotted a likely host. Thanks for the cache!Today is day three of our holiday in Hervey Bay, and today I did a mixed day of shelling and caching around Point Vernon. Mainly targeting the East and North sides for shelling, then heading inland to clean up the rest of the caches in the area. I finished up the day finding a few in Eli Waters, before returning back to homebase. A productive day out indeed on both fronts!Heading north on a 5-day trip to Hervey Bay with the family has allowed me to go out and cache the surrounding area. I was able to cram the tredley into the back of the warthog and travel north, stopping a few times. Once to maintain a cache, and another to find a cache. I finally set sights on my destination, Torquay. Over the course of the few days I had, I cycled the new rail trail series of geocaches, did a combined day of shelling and caching Point Vernon, took a drive through Booral and River Heads, travelled to Howard, Torbanlea, Toogoom and Dundowran. On the final day I spot cached as I made my way south, stopping in Walligan, Susan River, Beaver Rock and Owanyilla. I then fought the southbound traffic for a while, then detoured via Yengarie and through Tiaro back to the sunny coast. All things considered, a great holiday and a productive one for geocaching! a MASSIVE thank you to all the COs that I found the caches of along the way!
Out grabbing a few finds before heading home. Nice little wander in seeing mangroves today. Found the cache. Signed the log and returned to where found. Thanks FifiMeow and son and Rangz and Mum. All good with this cache.
Got eaten alive terrain was harder than expected but easy find once we found the log. No bushmans or swaps, left 2 toys tftc!
Found split plastic bag with a note in it. No paper log and cache container is missing. Everything is very wet. No log to write in . Cache needs maintenance.
Awesome spot. Loved the search. No container, just a broken ziplock bag. Unable to record our details. Owner please visit and fix up. Great cache. Thank you.
Needs attention. The bag is wrecked and the information sheet with it is disintegrating. Thank you for a easy and fun search
TFTC Fifi-meow & son & Rangz & Mum.Found plastic bag & some bits of paper in a fallen log. Unable to help with a container as I only had my pen on me. I will report it needs maintenance.
Urgent maintenance required here. There is only a plastic bag containing the log and the next downpour of rain could see the end of it TFTC
Easy find, mosquitoes weren’t too bad middle of the day. Bushman’s was gone however.
Thanks
Thanks
Only a short trudge! Found with Dulongbanjoes with the help of our eagle eyed Dad!

It was a nice walk along the path and then a wander into the bush to GZ. We searched all around and could not find a cache. Eventually heading back out to the path we spotted a large zip lock bag on the ground and upon investigation it contained the log book and various other caching bits. The logbook was actually dry, signed and taken back and placed at GZ as per the hint. It needs a new container as there was no sign of it around. Thanks to the CO’s for placing the cache.
Out for the day with 54 and the rest of the MummaBear and the cubs gang on the Fraser coast. Chasing some caches for this month challenge and some oldies along the way

A lovely walk in a not to hot or humid day. Only two mozzies. Found cache, signed and returned. Inside is a bit damp, seems as if water has got in at some stage. TFTC
I have always avoided both the Eli Creek and Ibis Surprise caches as I am not a fan of mosquitoes!!! However I am working toward my 700th find and running out of options in Hervey Bay!! So today I took an early morning adventure to these two caches in hope that the mozzies would be having a Saturday morning sleep in!!! How wrong I was!! They were everywhere!! Anyway both caches were found and I am happy to finally have two yellow smiley faces on the map at Eli Waters!!

Very slippery with this bit of rain, but the 3 off is traced around to be the first out of us
Of course Miss T got it first. Tftc

A lovely sunny day around Hervey Bay in the company of Grey Nomads. Fish ‘n chips and ice cream and, naturally, there were a few geocaches.

Found it but couldn't sign log without a pen. Paper is soggy too. Needs drying out. No bugs here today.
Found it! Off the track a bit, bag was a but wet and we forgot our pen! No pencil in the container or bug spray. But we had our own!
Tftc, during our tour of Eli Waters made a short dash off the track.

**Found** This is location number 2! This item was found at night in a semi-deep part of the bush. It was quite fun, as my friend and I did not know where we were going half the time. However, we managed to find it. My advice is to wear some long pants as there are a lot of mosquitos, and also bring a pen. Additionally, you might want to bring some hand-sanitiser, as it is a little filthy!
Didn't find this one, I think it was abit too bushy for thongs and no mossie spray
Found this one with my son Phoenix. Great walk and location! Definitely wear shoes
After a lunch at Pialba, we headed out along the coast to get those caches there.
A long hot way out there, at least at 34 degrees. But we did it, found it and signed the log.

Fifth day in Hervey, our second last day unfortunately, but we are having a blast, incorporating a Bush walk, and cleaning up the rest of the caches around so hopefully we can own haven’t hey.

We got lucky, no mosquitoes. It was a pretty windy day and we was covered in insect repellent so that helped. It took a bit of searching to find, great spot, thanks

My daughters first day in grade 1 at one of the local schools so I made the yearly trek up to make sure I see her before she starts school and then there when she finishes school. The eight hours in between in filled with caching, gymming (perks of being at a national gym), and swimming down at the beach. Eventually I'll clear the area out, she made be in grade 12 by then however. Found a total of 12 today and this was cache 5.
I put four thousand layers of mozzie spray on and still wasn't enough. Gotta give them credit, they're persistant and desperate for human blood and unfortunately I had plenty of that in my body. Made my way down the path, around the oddly shaped vacant bit of grass (couldn't really call it grass, it hasn't rained in a long time) and into the bush. Lots of spikey bushed, lots of trippy vines but alas, there's a cache!
Was retrieved and signed quickly before crashing back through the bush onto the path again swatting the 7 trillion mosquitos as I went. Unfortunately theres no bushmans left in the cache, someones nicked it.
Thanks for the cache FifiMeow.and.son and Rangz.and.mum

We found it but in a unusual place. There was heaps of mosquitoes and we got bitten but it was worth it.
A nice wide path approaches GZ. Last 30 or so metres is unsealed which is a pity!
All in good nick here. TN/LN/SL
