An eight year project that I'm finally putting to bed. I did some calcs recently and realised things had changed over time so visited and revisited some locations to complete the picture. Found the final on a cold damp evening after circling a bit. Signed and headed back to the warmth. There's a bit of work in putting a series like this together and maintaining it for so long. Deserves a fave. Thanks Blundo Busters.
Streak Day #2692 - Out with Dave8153 again this time we made the find as it was right in our faces for a fairly quick find. TFTC
23 November 2020
This is find number: 4750
Streak Day: 1803
Found today with Snoopy1976, came by here again today and it was not long until we spotted the cache. Must have looking in the wrong place the last time we were here. Thanks
Thanks to Blundo Busters for placing and maintaining this cache.

I started this series way back in March 2013 and, with YGAT, even managed up a couple of FTFs. I picked up quite a few between then and September 2014 and, after a bit of a break, found one in April 2017. I recently decided I’d resume the WT quest and discovered that the CO had streamlined the series and that I’d already qualified to log the final!
I was aware that there had been some adjustments to the hides over the years so I checked with the CO who kindly confirmed my numbers and even checked the status of GZ. It’s been almost two years since it was last found.
Today, taking advantage of the beautiful weather, we drove out and spent quite a few minutes searching for the cache. We suspected where it might be hidden but it didn’t immediately jump out at us. With much relief, eventually it was spotted.
I was the first to sign the new log. YGAT also signed for her attendance but does not yet qualify to claim it as a find.
Thanks Blundo Busters for this extraordinary series that’s taken me over seven years to complete. Please accept a favourite point.

Cache is still in play. Geochecker has been edited and tested due to the smaller number of preceding Water Tower caches.
GZ has been modified by the council / Sydney Water. I will endeavour to get this back online ASAP.
Finally found the last of the water tower series with gm10 and u_c. After gm10 wandered into the farmers friends
Finally all the water towers done and found it in the final coordinate. Really enjoyed the challenge. Thanks for the series of water towers caches. Fav from me.

I found my first water tower (#19) in Feb 2016 and my second one (#17) in Nov 16. It was only then that I took notice of the series and tried to keep them in mind when I was out and about. By June I had managed to find 11 of them and after that, they got further and further away, harder to find or missing. By the end of September, I was only missing 2 - both of which I had DNF'd previously. But as they have both been recently replaced, I pounced, grabbing my last one (#16) this morning.
With the coordinates verified, I dashed across from #16 where thankfully I made a very quick find. This series has certainly taken me on a wild goose chase around Sydney. And like others have said, its hard to look at a water tower without wondering if there might be a cache nearby (or even a trig). Nice to pick up some unloved days too.
Thanks BB for establishing and maintaining this series.

Started the series a while back when I saw two just happened to be around the corner from my cousins who I only visited a couple of times each year then, as my travels took me towards others, momentum picked up until I started planning trips specifically to include another tower until they were all crossed off. Nemesis was #17 that was MIA when I went past about a year ago but, with a replacement cache now back in place, I was able to tick that one off today and had previously collected the clue to work out GZ for the final. Positive I’d had all my answers correct, was a bit frustrated when the checker kept saying “nup, try again” but before I resorted to covering more miles, ignored the BODMAS rule and got a green light with correct co-ords indicating GZ was back towards my cousin’s so at the end of a very hot day caching while she had been at work, I was able to sign off the final find. Took almost three years to complete but highlights of the series were numbers 3, 7 and 20 which gave me a combined total of 692 days towards an “unfound dates” challenge. Don’t think I’ll ever look at another water tower again without wondering if there is a cache nearby
Started this series not long after I started caching around August 2013. The Baulkham Hill Water Tower was the first one I logged on 6th Sept 2013 after a couple of trips there. I was a newbie after all. Today I found the Final almost 3 years and over 850 caches later.
I must admit to getting lucky here today. I was in the approximate location with the GPS saying 12m. Whilst I waited for it to settle I half heartedly tried a spot and almost missed it as I really didn't expect to find it so quick. A second look confirmed it and I was signing the log before the satellites had even given me a good fix.
TFTCes. Giving a Fav point for the series.
P.S. I'd picked this as the likely location for the final long before finding all the clues as my now DIL then lived just a few houses away.

12/12/15. 2:25 PM. Cache #3293. Streak day #538.
This series has been a long time coming. I grabbed a few of the closer ones in the earlier years, but momentum mostly picked up this year when the final moved closer to the inner circle of my remaining unfounds. Here are my qualifications:
2013:
#14 Castle Hill: 19 May; #19 Round Corner: 19 May; #05 Carlingford: 03 Aug; #17 West Pennant Hills: 03 Aug; #15 South Windsor 26 Oct (only out here because it was across the road from my aunt-in-law's house).
2014:
#18 Nirimba: 17 May; #04 Castle Hill: 12 Sep; #08 Greystanes: 13 Nov
2015:
#02 York Road: 11 Jan; #01 Acacia Gardens: 25 Jan; #03 Baulkham Hills: 25 Apr; #16 Kellyville Ridge: 23 May; #06 Hebersham: 28 Jul; #07 Tregear: 28 Jul; #13 Baulkham Hills: 07 Sep; #11 Erskine Park: 17 Sep; #10 Cecil Hills: 18 Nov; #12 North Richmond: 06 Dec; #09 Penrith: 11 Dec (yesterday).
The solution fell into place some time in November when I realised that Penrith was unnecessary and North Richmond was an easy 2-way guess. However, I waited until all were found before coming out here for the find. Posted coordinates are in Kings Langley, however my calculation took me a few kilometres elsewhere and as I pulled up, I noticed that of course there had to be a water tower here too.
I started looking around once I'd made my way uphill and I quickly made a find reminiscent of one or two others in the series. I signed the log as only the 12th finder in almost 3 years, which is a shame as it's a great series. The difficulty could be upped a little to reflect the task of visiting all 19 preliminary water towers. I've picked up 7 months of unloved cache credit. TFTC.

Can finally place my 3rd closest to home unfound to bed. After over two years when I found the first and was humming along at that stage, job change saw caching slow down and the WTS go to the rear of things to do. Both South Windsor and Baulkham Hills notably have memories of meeting up with geomuggle neighbours, in which both made me laugh. Remembering Carlingford being tricky but thanks for showing me the water towers of the west and north west.
Giving the series a fav point, thanks BB

This was the fourth of four finds for today. After finding ‘Water Towers #03 – Baulkham Hills’, I headed back in the direction of this cache. I had calculated the coordinates a few months ago but with some caches muggled or not in service, I had to bide my time. I had no idea there was a water tower here despite over many years having driven along this road. I managed to park close to GZ and soon enough I spied something which looked out of place. SL. I started this series on 26th March 2014 – almost one year ago. Thank you for the challenge.

#1548 (5 of 5 today)
Travelled north today with three specific caches on my agenda - two of which would finish [B]Blundo Busters' Water Tower series.
Then with all my caches in hand, I travelled closer to home to help a fellow cacher with a find or two.
* * * END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION * * *
And so the series ands. At last.
I made my first Water Towers series find in October 2013, my 158th find. Well, over 14 months and almost 1400 caches later, it's done.
Some of the finds were really tricky and I DNFed more than one, but I'm happy to say I persevered and found them all.
Arrived at GZ and made one of the quickest finds of the series. Only issue was a water worker muggle loading a truck in sight of GZ. But my eye was immediately drawn to one spot and that was where I found the cache.
Timed my grab and replace for when he was out of sight.
My, that's a short list of finds on that log.
Completed signing duties and then away to help a fellow cacher.

Water Tower # 03 - Baulkham Hills has been relocated to the other side of the tower. Just awaiting the new coords to be approved by GC command, then it'll be up and running.
Water Tower # 15 - South Windsor is expected to be online again tomorrow.
Water Tower # 15 - South Windsor is expected to be online again tomorrow.
I can't log this as a find yet as I was unable to locate South Windsor and Baulkham Hills #13 whilst Baulkham Hills #03 is still disabled. However I have managed to collect all of the information and despite one correction needed, I have the correct coordinates. Looking forward to finally being able to log this as a find.
At last I can finally log a find on this challenge cache. I found the last of the other 19 in this series and can change this to a find as well.
A widely spread challenge, that has taken me more than a year to complete.
Thanks for the cache.

I found it at last! The plan for today was to go and finally find the other three which were giving me trouble. But alas,
ONE PESKY CACHE WOULD NOT REVEAL ITSELF! So I do not qualify to log this as a find.
So I will leave this as a note and change it when I FINALLY do.
Thanks for the long and frustrating series!

It's been 15 months since it's last find, but many cachers are making their way through the series, so I'm expecting some more finds in the next few months.
Cache check today - all good to go.

Yeah! Finally completed this excellent but frustratingly dispersed series! Had to back off GZ yesterday as the neighbour with the Winnebago had his whole family out washing and polishing it. Returned this evening for a quick find.

After a enjoyable day was had yesterday finding quite a few caches in this series, I returned back to where I was staying in Mount Victoria, and found that I had enough numbers to work out the location of this cache. Today on the way home to Newcastle, I took a little detour to GZ, and soon spotted the nicely hidden cache. This was a nice way to finish off a good weekend of caching.

Today was the day that I finish this series. It was in my 10km radius and kept staring me in the face. So about a week or so ago, I started racing around various locations in Sydney to knock them off. Quite a trek! I managed to get the final 3 today and had actually guessed the GZ coords, but wanted to make it official like! I got to GZ and started searching around. Sure enough I touched the camo and ignored it. Then on another sweep, I saw the cache. Hahaha! Nice! I SL and replaced.
Thanx for the long and winding cache series BB. At least it gets me out and about. Loved it, but...please don't do it again TFTS.

So after finding all 19 water tower cachers and having all the info to do this, I still had trouble with geo checker. Must be the way I see the maths. Had a chat with CO and he corrected everything. So it was off to find the last in this series. Arriving at GZ, I could see all the possibilities but something just seemed out of place and it was worth checking and bingo cache in hand. Thanks BB for a great series, I didn't know there were so many water towers about the burbs and I will forever keeping a eye out for them and thinking that there might be a cache there. A Fav from me

I have now completed the WT series and was rewarded with the 3TF spot on the log sheet. Bit surprised that more cachers haven't made it to #20. SL #808 on streak day #291 awarding a fav point for the series TFTC
2nd to find on a very very wet day.
Thank BB for a great series and the interesting info on water towers.
The final was a easy find could be tricky for some noticed something slightly out of place a further investigation I soon had cache in hand, signed log returned safely back. Thanks again BB now to put a dent in all those train spotter caches I've been temporary ignoring,

After two weeks of driving and searching and constantly seeing water towers I can finally lay this excellent series to rest.
