Didn't find the cache this time but did find alot of rubbish which is really sad. If someone else logs a find, we shall come back for another look.
#4823. I have been in Southland for a week on a work trip but all that time was spent in Fiordland. I now have two days off and time to grab as many caches as I can find. Hired a rental car and set off on the adventure in glorious warm, sunny, dry, summer-like weather. Parked nearby to the reserve and headed along the walkway to check out the options. I love big caches. This one was an easy find. Too easy I suspect as it was right out in the open. Signed the log and replaced the cache back under the hollow that matched the cache size perfectly. Thanks for the cache markmexted.
In town to get the car a Wof.
What else to do whole waiting than go caching? Even on a wet day. No luck in town, so called by on the way home.
Took longer to locate than in should have I blame it in the cloud cover , but was pleased to have it in hand as this is the 10th large cache so now Silver in GSAKs BadgeGen.
Left a little but of art in the logbook, but as the rain started up again it isn't much, just a house and a rainbow (of sorts).
Thanks for the smilie.

Not a fan of the ole toi toi... utt was threatening rain so no time for art today!
Nice big cache found in nasty toitoi. Not much time to read the news but SL and threw in some swag we had been holding onto. TFTC
Walking around the area finding some caches. Nice place and bench, few fowls on the water. I had just found the cache and was signing the log when a friendly dog appeared. Thought I better be quick 'cause the owner would be there soon. I hope the girls didn't put too much attention why an adult man is in the bush. TFTC.
Enjoyed the walk down here, lots of cyclists on the track today since its good weather. TFTC
Found with SearchWisely. Liked the newspaper idea, and that it's going to be 23 degrees on Tuesday lol. Didn't like the seesaw seat though.
Ninalila and I found it on our way to Bluff.
We choose to make a detour because of this one before traveling south.
The walk is really nice and calm, the floor is wet but good enough to go and find this one.
we signed the logbook with our team name : lekiprokos
thank you for the cache and the discovery

It was spitting a little so didn't want to draw in the rain. Some water in the container. Let that out. Tftc
Caught off guard someone was sitting at the seat. Found it didn't sign log, as I assumed there would be colouring in pencils. Will come back. Beautiful spot to draw or just relax. The dog loved the swim TFTC
went back and signed log. Placed a few pencils and shapner, paper and a couple of doodle art. Such a great idea.

Together with [url=http://coord.info/PR3BC8B][red]'Dev46'[/navy][/url][/red] I was on a 'sightseeing-tour' through lovely [Green]'New Zealand'[/Green]
During our great time we could see a lot of beautiful places and we also could find 'some' caches in the area...this was one them [:X]
Many thanks to all CO's for all these nice caches

Last summer the idea was born to visit [Green]'New Zealand'[/Green], together with [url=http://coord.info/PR3NXJG][red]'MimiNemo'[/red][/url]
After some important decisions regarding the beginning of our trip, the flights, the general route and the car were made, the most important question was still unanswered: which caches can we visit during our tour [?]
To get an answer for this topic I was fetching almost every cache from both islands [8)][:X]
[url=http://coord.info/PR3NXJG][red]'MimiNemo'[/red][/url] and I love [Teal]'Geo-Arts'[/Teal]...so we added all these cache series to our wish list
After this decision was made this list was more than 300 puzzle caches long...unsolved puzzle caches
Two weeks before Christmas it was getting time to start solving all these mystery caches
Even with the different language I could find almost every solution
In the case I was not so successful I was contacting some of the CO's...and was always getting help from them...many thanks for this support [:X]
During the following weeks our cache list was growing and growing...meanwhile more than 1000 caches long...too long for a simple bookmark list from GC
Time to get our route and caches in sync...time to save the PQ's to our Garmins...time to start this holiday:
Chapter 9: [red]Southland[/red] including [green]Invercargill[/green] and [navy]Bluff[/navy]
Exploring the southern part of [Green]'New Zealand'[/Green] was our mission of the day
Driving around in the beautiful area we also stopped for some caches [:X]
This large cache was one of them
I would like to thank all the cache owners for showing us these great places and maintaining all these caches,

Tftc. Shame the big notebook is not there for me to draw a picture. Great place though
The container was fille with water and contents of the cache are saturated...I have tipped out the water but it needs to be dried out properly
Sloshed through the soggy ground and found the fun container....but unfortunately the lid was off and the container was filled with water from all the rain recently...all the pencils are swallen and book saturated....I have tipped out the water but everything needs to be properly dried out...TFTC
Great cache. Never found one so big before! Still had us hunting for a few minutes though. Couldn't figure out which was your house. I wonder! Still, lovely walk on a sunny winters day.

Well found the seat, didn't find the container, there didn't seem to be any "huge" plant, they all looked the same size it's a nice spot though!
Holidaying in the South Island, grabbing a few caches on the way. An early morning find. Thanks for the cache.
Geocaching with our granddaughter, which she enjoyed the adventure finding the caches
we definitely drew your house

Despite getting myself quite wet in my endeavours to find this cache today, I had no success. There have obviously been others searching the area from the geotrails in the vicinity of GZ.
Crusty.

Sweet cache! Will bring the kids back for sure... Haha and found out the name of a new plant...
Nice spot to sit and rest, Trackable not there, had to read the bit about Dodds
Nice idea to do a drawing, but a bit hard in the dark when you can't see any houses.
No way of getting this without wet feet at present.

Lovely area even if it is wet under-foot. My excuse for not drawing is my hands were so cold. PU TB.TFTC
A sunny Queen's Birthday so thought we would hunt out this cache and do some basic drawings. Good spot to do some sketching as muggles on the flood wall wouldn't suspect. Great spot for this type of cache.
Nice big cache container, unsure which house to draw but gave it a shot with my best 4 year old sketching talents [8]
Found with chosen1978, pjjob, Alice, Elise and Josiah on a night caching adventure . Each of us contributed to our drawing. TFTC
Found it while out late in the dark caching with PJJOB, the_brudderz, Elise, Alice and Josiah. No TB present. Was good fun hunting in the dark, thanks for the find!

Monstas loved this cache, could have stayed all afternoon! Thanks markmexted
We started off along the stopbank, before realizing we needed to move off it to reach the cache, which was quickly found, although under a different plant from that in the hint. Our picture had to be done very quickly as it was raining. TFTC
With out a doubt one of our favorites. Well done, a great idea. TFTC and the Lollies!!!
Favourite cache to date! Love how you have to go off the beaten track to find it and be able to do something other than just log. Awesome location and idea guys love it! Also found my first TB which was mighty exciting toooooo
After a little search amounst the plants the large box was in hand. A drawing done lolly ate 2TBs gone; it was all over. TFTC great spot.

Second look for this one. First time here I concentrated my efforts searching flax bushes When I decided to extend my search to the Toi toi the cache was very soon found. How I managed not to see it earlier when searching all the flax bushes proves how poor my peripheral vision is.
Thanks for the cache.markmexted
