For our NZ visit we created a "wishful-thinking-to-do-list" ... knowing we can not do them all but we can at least try. Old caches, earth, virtual and webcam are on the top of our list... but also some traditionals, multi etc...
Today on our way to Dunedin and decided to stop for some caches along the road as we calculated that we should not have much time left considering the travel distance for today...
Found cache but no logbook, see picture...

Found it but nothing left of it but shell. Needs a log book and new case. I had nothing to replace with sorry.
Quite funny my partner works for the transport here never knew it was here.

Today I will be heading out Oturehua way from Ranfurly locating a few caches.
I went into the historic store nearby and was pleasantly surprised. It took me back to when I, as a school kid, used to work in a similar one after school.
Cheers for the cache.

Took a wee while, but we knew we were in the right place from clue. Great find.
Great find on way through. We are not on rail trail but driving around can’t wait to do the trail.
Day 2. In central Otago to bike the world famous Otago rail trail with family. I would highly recommend doing this ride to everyone we had a fantastic time. We didn't collect all the caches along the way but I think we will be back one day to sign the rest. Five days off stunning views tunnels, viaducts, and all the history as well. Thank you for all the caches we did find along the trail it has been a most interesting journey. Was a quick find but a little bit tricky for one of the more vertically challenged members of our team
Found whilst stopping at the local pub for lunch and looking at the store. Easy find once the muggles left! TFTC
Stopped off for this one on incredibly shakey and sore legs after a brief lunch break near Hayes engineering. We were working towards a hard time stop for a transfer from Wedderburn so we had very limited time to stop for this one! Luckily it was a quick find (the bike wheels barely stopped turning) and I was straight back on the bike to cycle up the hill - tftc!
Stopped here for lunch great toasted sandwich at the pub and a neat old shop across the Road brought back many memories lol showing my age ...thankserninz for the great placement found all good
A great place to stop for lunch and to look at the points of interest (cache?). I had trouble looking for this cache then Macwatt reached in and found. Thanks for the cache erninz
5th day of my combined biking-hiking and car tour through New Zealand (together with 6 fellow travelors and two guides) . And today we rided the second part of the Otago Trail from Ranfurly to Lauder respectively I rided to Chatto Creek. On this section i searched to 6 caches - three without success (my companions are tow fast and I had to follow), two I could find and one earthcache. And one of the founds was at the whistle stop because there we had a short rest. But long enough to find the box and sign the log sheet.

Quick find, thanks erninz.
Found with RowenaD on a geo trip to Naseby.

Woke up in my stone cottage Airbnb in Ocean Grove to find that it had yet again rained overnight. But the dawn was crisp and clear so another day to look forward to with dry shoes and socks. If it carries on like this, I would have packed extra shoes and my wet weather gear for nothing. But I’m not complaining, I’m utterly sick of all the rain we have had over winter in the Manawatu.
Heading from Dunedin through the Pig Root to Alexandra for the day. Very excited, I did spend a lot of time driving this route when I lived in Oamaru and it is one of my favourite parts of the country.
Another quick find here today. I spent a bit of time in Oturehura when I lived in Oamaru, helping out at nearby Hayes Engineering. Nice to see that the little town hasn't changed much. TFTC

rustynz tells me I need to catch up with all my logging
This was when we were in the South Island, doing the Otago cycle rail trail.
Sorry for the generic logs. But thank you to all the CO for the hides and the maintenance on all your caches.

Picked up the cache, and then did the detour to the historic store for some ice-creams. Cycling the Otago rail trail with rebel98 and muggles. This today is our Ophir to Wedderburn leg. Amazing views and weather. Another special hide along the trail
Bit late logging but enjoyed our Rail Trail ride so much the excitement didn't wear off until today when I could catch up on logs...another beauty, tftc
A quick find here today in between groups of bikers on the Rail Trail. I remember stopping here when I cycled the trail myself about 6 years ago but there were a lot fewer caches in the area then. Signed log, TFTC
Enjoying the rail trail - five in our group. This was a tricky one, it took a little while to find the hint number, then had to keep hunting. Looked too high at first - found in the end after a group search. Thanks erninz.
Four weeks we spent together with Lwagnero and Geoded wandering through the beautiful New Zealand and occasionally also searched caches. This was one of them that we found. Thanks and greetings from Czech Republic.
Three catchers plus three muggles spent four weeks in New Zealand and so we browsed along our way. Tree days bike trip Central Otago lead us tu this cache. TFTC
A wee stop on the Rail Trail thought I'd see if a cache was nearby bingo Cheers for the smile.
Jist had dinner at the pub, why do they make their meals so big? Took a little while to find but thanks for hint. Nice location.
I'm down in Otago to cycle the Otago Rail Trail over a relaxed 5 day period and took the opportunity to find a few geocaches along the way. Day 2 was from Omakau to Oturehua and this cache was a quick find on arrival at Oturehua. TFTC!
Second day on the trail, and naturally we have to log a few caches along the way . Tftc!
Travelling around the South Island.
Looking at our wonderful home land.
Weather has been improving every day. Wonderful to travel. Chilly here this morning

Decided to head off to the St Bathans market day so now on way home caching as we go TFTC
Stopped long enough for a cache and an icecream. Peach cone icecream or one of those $2 trumpets?
Came here for lunch after visiting the mine. The shop is interesting oldest in nz.
Caching our way back to Palmerston after a few days in the Manuherikia and Ida vallies ... the cache has been muggled ... container is broken and there was nothing in it. I added a piece of paper with my name. After replacing the cache, a local approached and said that he had found the cache lying on the track the previous day and had put it back where he knew it belonged. Nice to find a muggle who is interested enough to help with cache maintenance.
SL. Thanks for the hide erninz

Our second day biking the Orago rail trail. Beautiful weather, spectacular views, most enjoyable day!
Found a plastic bag with log, then the container, then the lid, then a broken off piece of the container... Tried to put things together. Could do with a new container!

A pretty quick find with dakotacats. I didn't like the shop nearby, it was creepy! TFTC
We couldn't work out what the hint was telling us so decided to ignore it and look in the obvious place, we found the cache and then we saw the hint!! Thanks erninz, it's always fun visiting this area.
Think we found the right spot after reading hint and other comments, but did not find this cache. May have been swiped!
On Tour together with Sabe73 as Team "TheBros" around South Island to visit some nice spots.
We also visited this location and could find the box almost quickly.
Thank you for showing us this place and of course for the Cache.
Greetings from Carinthia/Austria.

Well have an opp on my shoulder about 4 weeks ago and still got about 4 weeks to go before I'm back at work so I thought I would come visit some friends in Cromwell for a few days so was a great time to find a few caches. It has been a lot of fun up here but it had to come to an end at some point. This one was a quick park and grab at a awesome location. TFTC ☺
