We enjoyed a nice walk here at Waite!
Unfortunately we missed the last sign and had to climb a long way back.
Then it took a while to find the cache, thank God we found it.
TFT nice multicache Marmela!

I've never walked Waite Reserve, despite it being relatively close to home.
It was a great walk, which I did 1 week ago to collect all the info. I started 30 minutes before sunset and finished well after dark, after finding 3 other caches, 2 of which had difficult terrain ratings.
Being after dark and thinking I'd be looking for something from a lab, I decided to come back another day when there is more sunlight.
Today was that day. The geocaching leprechaun must have been on my shoulder as I walked up to GZ, as I found the cache within seconds. Sometimes that just happens. Returned some natural cammo over the cache, a little more than when I found it.
*************************
I never had the opportunity to meet this man Randall. But I've read dozens and dozens of his geocaching logs. Sounds like he was a top bloke to be around.
It is too late to say nice things about the people we care about when they are gone. Go and say something nice to someone you care about right now.
I'm giving this cache a favorite point, for the well thought out multi layout, the superb walk, and the nice tribute.

A great cache in a great location remembering a great cacher. We did the hike this morning and stopped off at GZ to hunt for the cache. Found after a short search with JoelTheGeoWiz1001, now for some lunch! TFTC
Great to remember a legend of the game, I had done this loop some time ago and came back past Gz now about 5 times but never had much luck, after contacting some previous finders today I finally found the tiny well hidden cache
Today I headed out to find some caches that I was yet to find around the eastern side of Adelaide dodging the rain as I went.
Thanks for the cache

I'll check on the cache container to see if it's still there and replace if needed.
Cache container has been replaced with a new log. You'll still need to BYO pen/pencil to sign and potentially a pair of tweezers to remove the log from the container. Happy Hunting!!
Walked the loop trail today but didn't finish before dark.
Got to the final waypoint for the multi and looked with torches for what seemed like 30 minutes. No luck, but this is supposed to be quite difficult to find in daylight!
We'll come back another day to find this one.
Thoroughly enjoyed making the trek around the loop looking at all the signs. A really enjoyable multi. TFTC Marmela.

This has always been one of my closest unfound caches to home but I've only recently conquered my fear of puzzles and multis. After hearing of the tragedy, this re-named cache has been in the back of my mind. I never had the chance to meet Randell but I always loved reading the logs he left on the local caches. One of my most memorable moments was when I was new to caching in 2012, 12 years of age having just hiked up a gruelling hill to a cache in Belair National Park only to read Randell's log stating he ran there! The idea of someone running up such a steep hill totally blew my 12 year old mind. Today my girlfriend and I set out on a walk in the heat to visit all the waypoints for this cache and take some wildlife photos! The hill we were met with right at the start soon got the blood pumping and we considered returning on a cooler day. We soldiered on however and soon the trail flattened out nicely. While visiting all the waypoints we spotted a whole horde of birds, plenty of butterflies were out, and there was even a koala relaxing in the carpark! Once at GZ we took some time to find the cache, and considering it was almost a year since this one was last found, we feared it may have been buried or swept away. Thankfully the tiny cache soon made itself apparent and we added our names to the log. TFTC!
A nice walk around the park. Took me awhile to find the cache even after a phone a friend. TFTC
This evening after work, [@jesswrigley](http://coord.info/PRNW59T) and I headed to Waite Conservation Reserve for a short hike in these hills overlooking the city. We headed up via Wild Dogs Glen Trail and had a few rest stops whilst making our way to Harold's Lookout, and enjoying the views. We were following the *Wonderful Waite Walk* multi-cache as a guide, and made a loop on the top, before heading down along the same trail. An enjoyable evening out and a hidden location that most Adelaideans are probably aware of its existence.
I had wanted to do this multi-cache for some time, in particular trying to head one evening after work, and so tonight, the stars aligned, so to speak. We had already done a few of the multi-cache's waypoints back on 24/08/2019 when we undertook a hike along the Yurrebilla Trail section, so this evening, it was really just focusing on this reserve vicinity. A great walk around the park/reserve, and we managed to see a fair number of kangaroos enjoying their dinner. There seemed to be no shortage of grass food for them here. We also enjoyed reading about the Old Coach Road and stonework still in place - we imagined back in the old days of the guys helping to push their wagons and horses up that hill; how treacherous!
It was also nice to have found this sneaky hide cache, and we could see how others have had trouble here. However, I think we got lucky and found within a few minutes. It was a cache type that I needed for today's calendar day too. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. The terrain rating felt on the low side given the required walk around the place, but perhaps just on the low side. Thanks Marmela for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.
Note that this geocache was logged with the *Team Warren* Davidwazza/@jesswrigley stamp.

Did the walk and cleaned up a few caches in Waite today. Got all the waypoints and calculated the coordinates to be right where I expected this lovely multi to finish up, but at the location I had no luck will be back as I didn't get every other cache in the park today. Was still an awesome walk that I've done many times before.
I went out early this morning for what I thought would be a fairly quick walk to find a few caches near the Waite. However, it ended up taking much, much longer than I had anticipated but I did end up picking up a few caches in the area, including this one. And it was a most enjoyable walk with some terrific views back towards the city and beyond.
The final cache took a bit of searching and I almost gave up. But having come this far, I wasn't keen to go home without the find so put in one last effort and there it was! Not sure how I had missed it before!
Thanks Marmela for a nice multi.

Went for an evening walk on a full moon night with the geowife through the Waite Conservation Park. (I had previously grabbed the other trads a few weeks ago and wanted to show her this lovely area with great views across Adelaide).
The walk straight up the hill certainly got the heart going, as we grabbed clues on the way, but the views were gorgeous. Looped around as the sun set and then arrived at GZ just on dark. Hunted around for about a minute and after a close inspection of an area I found the cache - considered myself lucky as this could have been easily missed. Signed log. Fav point awarded for the wonderful hike - thanks Marmela!

First for the day and it's always good to start with a find .
With the temperature being a mild 24°C today, we thought this cache would be a good one to get some exercise .
Did the loop, but missed WP6 (realised where it was after we got home - oh; it's up there)! so we took a guess [:o)].
Got to GZ and searched for a very long time before making the find . TNLNSL.
Thanks Marmela.

It was a Wednesday, which means wandering around with some geofriends who have set themselves the target of making sure Owl does not fulfill her new year's resolution to solve all the puzzles of caches she has been to by taking her to more puzzles she has not solved. This was a multi she had started some time ago and fortunately one of the group had finished it. Owl kept the car running while her companions did the search, egged on by a prior finder. Sneaky little thing!
A Rat, starfish, Blackadder and an Owl. were out on their Wednesday wanderings.
Today found The Geo animals in the area.
This was a quickish find by the Adder today.
Log stamped and cache returned. Tftc

Unfortunately DNF.
Public holiday is always good for hiking and caching. Today our targets are Waite Loop Walking Trail and Waite Arboretum.
Tried 6 caches on Waite Loop Walking Trail, but only found one. This was the last DNF. But we do love this multi cache. We got all the answers, just cannot find the cache at the final cords.
Will try again next time.

After a dnf a while ago, I made another attempt here. Luckily brisal5 was my assigned driver for the day and he encouraged me to get this off the muff1 dnf list. TFTC Marmela.
After doing all the walking and collecting of the information in July with AnyMules and Muff1 we came up short at GZ. That day wasn't a waste though as we found five other caches and knew where GZ should be. Subsequently the cache container was replaced. So all that was required was for me to come back again and sign the log book.
Well today was that day. Heading down to watch the Adelaide 36ers play I found myself running a little early. So a quick detour up to GZ where I quickly found the container that eluded us last time and added me stamp to the log book.
This really is a great multicache which give great views over Adelaide. I love great walks so I give it a FP as well.
Thanks Marmela for this cache.

Seeing this one had been replaced, I scurried by this evening in the way home from work.
After a little search I found the container hidden in the places we were searching the other day.
Thanks Marmela for the cache and the great walk around the hills. A favourite point added.
Found on 26 Jul 2017 at 4:57 pm. Find #4909.

I'll will have a look at this tomorrow (Monday) to see if the cache container is still there.
Another great Pi day adventure. Met the usual list of suspected at the morning Pi event and discussed plans for the day. AnyMules and I had planned for a walk in Morialta but when Firesafe stated he need this cache to complete his D/T grid the plans changed. A happy bunch a me, AnyMules, Firesafe, Doctor Owl, Muff1 and AndyColumbia converged on GZ for that cache. Now where seeing we are already here! Decision made. Morialta out, walk around Glen Osmond / Mt. Osmond grabbing caches in. Unfortunately as AndyC was with child they decided not to join us. Well that was the morning. ! After lunch we split again with just Me, Mr. Muff and Anymules heading over to grab a few around the loftier sections above Waite whilst we did the multi there.
After our epic walk that also turned into some climbing to get to a few caches we finally arrived at GZ in the fading light. Maybe we were just tired but dammit we just couldn't find the prize. luckily we did visit five other caches are we went around! Thanks Marmela for the exercise.

Lots of walking followed by a DNF - with three teams searching. Hasn't been found in a long time. Can the CO please check this one.
A long walk with lots of great views and other caches to find along the way...disappointed not to find cache at final location...perhaps if it was a little larger it might have been found...
Up the hill around the bend and down again...
Wonderful.
Got some info last time was here and the rest today,
searched around between visits from campus security,
and eventually found the tiny prize.

Had the experience of redRONSO with us but after a good search tiredness set in with the kids (and us) so we called it a day. Will return another time.
Decided to come for a wander today, with the invitation from one of the youngest of the Crisnix crew to do this multi-cache. Such a nice area visit, plenty of shade and a slight breeze to keep some of the heat away. After the walking around, counting and collecting numbers, it seemed as though we had some likely coordinates for the final. Though after searching the area and beyond, and checking our numbers, all we managed to find was an amused koala watching us whilst chewing on Eucalyptus! We will have to try again another day.
I got the numbers for this one over 12 months ago but I did it in the wrong order and was too far too come back.
This morning I made the quick find.
A neat multi.

Found It!
A nice walk for a Sunday morning. On the way up I was in the fog but that cleared when I was up the top which resulted in a great view! I wandered around the hill and found 8 other caches before going back down to GZ!

After enjoying the wonderful Waite walk last month, I returned today to find the newly replaced container. I searched for a bit and managed to find lots of super sticky mud which bonded to my work shoes quite well.
A quick call to a fellow cacher who works very close by and I was told where to look a little harder or put my glasses on.
Sure enough the cache was there all along.
Signed the log. Thanks for the cache Marmela.

Mr Tardis had a lovely Waite walk in the cool April weather, but unfortunately I couldn't find the final container after searching in a few places.
I realized my mistake in my numbers when I arrived at the wrong place but I eventually found it. Thanks for the walk.

Having previously attempted this cache and coming up empty handed, I later realized my mistake in my numbers and was able to make a quick find today.

Completed this cache doing a large loop night walk through Waite, city lights below, cool evening air, koalas calling in the distance and one brush tail possum. A lovely walk and a nicely constructed multi using the available signs.
Nice day for a wander up the hill. Was a bit slippery but managed not to fall, Got all the hints and ventured to final location before heading home. A good day out caching.
Having been on this walk several times over recent years, it was nice to revisit and enjoy the exercise and views once again. Thanks for the cache Marmela!
Had a very wonderful walk through the park this arvo, saw two deer, many birds (including the bird in question for E) and no less than two echidnas, one of which was very friendly indeed! It not only walked towards me, it posed very nicely in a tree hollow so I could get some pictures. It never ceases to amaze me just how much wildlife can be found so close to suburbia.
Got all the numbers without issue but finding the cache did take a while, but it was uncovered in the end.
Thanks

Honestly! How did I ever miss the cache last time? or the time before... or the one before that when I successfully found every sign and drew little pictures and everything to remind me?
Well, at least it got me out of the tea room and up the hill at lunchtime for some serious legwork!
Thanks Marmela for a prolonged multi

Teamed up with Team Scoobster and Just Cruizen for a day of caching in the area, Great walk collected the clues while collecting a few other caches along the trail, a slight miss calculation had us searching in the wrong area but the error was soon found and the cache was soon in our hands, there will be some sore muscles tomorrow but some great views were had along the way TFTC
Spent the day out caching with the caching machine, 'locus cache' around the eastern and near southern suburbs.
One of a couple of walks today. TFTC..

Definitely a wonderful walk on this coolish Sunday morning. Apart from a silly mistake in the Math at WPt1, all was sweet. The signs were read - I'd seen them all before and even contemplated using the Koala in one of my caches. A number of walkers were walking on the lower tracks - but just Ann up top. Attached - pic from up top.
Thanks to Marmela and clear skies from TeamAstro.
Wonderful walk. The stroll up the gorge is a real heart starter. Then it get a little easier. I only walked as far as WP5. A geocacher with 11 years experience can jet ski that last number. So I walked back the car and drove to the cache. Plenty of evidence that echidnas live around here. Thanks for a fun multicache. i enjoyed the views and the gentle showers today.
Woohoo, FTF at 07:10 this morning!! I'm surprised that several of those who were in the area last night didn't push on to complete this cache!
Anyway, I had a wonderful Waite walk this morning, topped off by finding a virgin log book. At one stage I managed to get myself onto the wrong track, but that was soon corrected. I always enjoy watching the sun rise over Adelaide, there is something magic about watching the shadow cast by the hills getting smaller as the sun rises.
I'm visiting some travellers for the experience, and to bring them 'home'.
I've got my cache for the day, now it's off to work.
Thanks for an enjoyable walk Marmela.

Touch disaapointed not to nab the gold here but should have known the king of raw fish would be about in search of his FTF. The Tiger will nab silver. A walk I recommend to all (and one I do on a regular basis with Marmela and others).
Wildlife and birdlife is abundant in the park with echidnas, roos and plenty of birdlife in the park. Don't forget to say "G'Day" to Ron Moss on the way up. Great multi Marmela! TFTC
