15/10/18 10:40 am Find #2187
Arriving here it was pretty to see a sea of purple flowers... even if they were weeds. We wandered over and made a quick find.
I must say that's a tall table!
NB: Logbook on most smalls and micros this weekend signed as "QQ" for the group of us to save space.
Thanks for the cache jpgordo.

After a long weekend at Canarvon Gorge, time for Nyssaflutterby, 1Minniemoo, Membsec, Mnance1 and I to head home, though of course we won't take the shortest route!
A few stops to make along the way.....
Some small log sheets/books signed as "QQ" for our group to save space.
I'd noticed this spot on our way in, but it was raining then and we were in a hurry.
A nice quick find.

Our trip to Carnarvon Gorge has come to an end so with sadness and in convoy with Nyssaflutterby, 1MinnieMoo, Wombles&Co and mnance101 we slowly head back to our homes! Heading back home picking up the ones we missed heading out. We signed the log with QQ to save time and space. A quick find which is the way we like them in the obvious place, just needed to choose which end.

**Carnarvon Gorge International Earthcache Trip – Day 1**
Out for a geoadventure trip to Carnarvon Gorge for International Earthcache Day with Slow Puncture doing the navigation duties during the road trip the deal was I do the driving they do the finding. Well most of the time there was the odd occasion where my finding skills were called upon.
Great trip, great company with Mr & Mrs SP and thanks to all the CO’s for hiding caches along our route.

Thursday. Day one of our trip to Carnarvon Gorge for International Earthcache Day. Took a seat here whilst we signed the log. We all had a chuckle as the table was so high that it was like sitting in a high chair! Nice to have a quick find on a cache whilst on a long drive though.
This was the 17th of 22 caches found on today's trip.
Thanks ***jpgordo***, for showing us this place.

After attending the event in Barcaldine we are travelling this way to get home in a convoluted way. Out with Snakepiters and we found this cache. Nice one. Thankyou jpgordo for placement of this cache and adding to our enjoyment of the area
TFTC. We left our overnight camp in Mitchell and headed toward Roma and Surat. Along rather way we stopped regularly to find a cache. All good finds.
Leaving Roma to head toward Surat. We stopped before we left Roma to find this one.

We must have shrunk in the rain or else the table grew here.
I’ve no idea how children could eat here. I’m tall and this really felt humorous.
But thanks for the cache and yet another happy face on our map on the way from Roma to St George with Muggle Hubby today.

Thanks to all COs for the caches.
Enjoyed the QOGM events and the variety of caches. Thanks for the organisation and to all COs for the caches.

Next stop on our way out of Roma and towards Surat. A quick find here. TFTC jpgordo
Found by Mary & David at 1645. Our eldest grandson is Ewan. The sprinklers are on, so nearly got wet. Truck city here. Our thanks to jpgordo.
Day 2 of our road trip to the QOGM and collecting a few caches between Miles and Roma as well as a couple on side roads. Thank you so much to all the COs who have placed caches along the highways and byways that we will travel over in the fourteen days we are away. Without your caches we would not see and/or learn about your local area.
No idea why the muggle was parked where she was as it certainly wasn't a place to park, especially in her fancy car. Maybe she ran off the road? Quick and easy find as soon as she left. Thanks for the cache and bringing us here.
7517 Located by baby&Mrs gopher at 1150. Sat and listened for some time to the Singing honeyeaters in the tree above. Added a new sheet to the log roll. Even got the stapler to work. SL Tnx jpgordy
Hi there jpgordo.
We are on our way to [QOGM](https://coord.info/GC7P875), the Queensland Outback Geocaching Muster, which is being held in Barcaldine. We cached towards the east and north of Roma today (as well as the town itself.
Our find total today was 23 caches & we DNF'd 2. Thanks for placing this cache here, without geocaching as our guide we would never have found so many interesting places on our travels as we continue our nomadic wanderings around Australia.
**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found this cache around 2m from where the GPS said we should be looking.
**Cache Condition:** The container and log book are in good shape.
**Took:** Nothing.
**Left:** Smiley Badge.
Thanks for the hunt today,
Regards
Ian & Penny.

Heading up the highway from Surat to Roma and using caching as an opportunity to have a break from driving Pulled up on the opposite side of the road so played chicken with the traffic to access this one Thanks for all the caches that helped make my journey more interesting TFTC jpgordo
Big journey today - not! from Surat to to Roma caching along the way and picking up a few in town where we are staying for a few days. All caches were 3asy finds and in good condition. Thanks for placing and maintaining these caches which add highlights to our travels. Nothing taken or left and all logs were signed, sometimes as SG as I often do in small caches to save space.
As there was not any inspections happening here today we were free to park across the road from this one. It is amazing how a simple mint tin stays in place, if it was one of our larger city's we are certain it would be gone.
It is a shame that the council cannot see their way clear to installing a toilet block. Children, picnics - there will always be the need for the little ones to need a loo.

Today we are heading from Roma to Miles, with a few stops along the way. Easy find, despite the long arm of the law being present. Thanks jpgordo
Staying in Roma for a few days and procrastinating about returning home as it is so cold.
Found and signed a few caches around town.
This was one of them.

Out and about in the camper van heading west geocaching.
I camped over night at Chinchilla weir.
The van got parked and crossed the road. Not many places where this one could be.
A quick find once at GZ. [^]

Out here today, I've finished work
A cache to find, a little perk
My duties I must never shirk
So in the park today I lurk
Before too long I give a smirk
I can resume my rhyming quirk

Find No: 6128. Visiting from Newcastle, on the way home from Darwin, thanks for the cache jpgordo!!
Had a great time at the Alice Mega and now on the homeward stretch so still looking for caches along the way. Coongoola may sign small log sheets as CG if there's not much room.
Cache was found in good condition with excellent Coords.

Hi there jpgordo - we're staying in Roma for a week of R & R and a little bit of Geocaching of course! Today was a day trip to Surat - a pretty little town to the south with some very beautiful countryside to pass through. SL. This is our find #4660 - thanks to jpgordo for this cache.
Found on a long roundabout drive home from Alice Springs! Stopped in Roma for fuel and a cache. Thanks jpgordo.
Found with Mum as 'Jess & Caro'. She is now Carø and I now have my own geocaching profile so we are sorting my logs for caches we found together. TFTC!
Thanks got this one and all but 3 DNF in this town of which 1 is a long term DNF
Out with Geopartner to find some caches in Roma and surrounds.
With todays activities on but far enough away for me to find this cache.
There was a car parked nearby but as I passed there was no one in it.
I headed to GZ with my drink bottle to avoid suspicion.
Grabbed signed and returned with none the wiser.
Busy enjoying the activities of the smiling clowns and jumping castle.
Arrived back at the geomobile just in time and then the occupants of the car returned.
Phew that was close.
TNLNSL TFTC Thanks jpgordo All good with this cache
