Beautiful location and what a stunning day to be looking for caches! Got my east and west mixed up but awesome container when I found it!
On our way to the Dunedin Mega, caching as we go - - - of course. It was great to "stop and smell the roses" though the exercise was more figurative than literal for us today. So many travellers don't know much about what they're driving past. It's great that geocaching reminds us to stop and do just that - - - whatever kind of goals one has in mind. Thanks for encouraging us the stop .
Heading further towards Christchurch today, with plenty of stops along the way. We parked thd campervan a little further down the road and walked to GZ.No problems finding the cache here. Thanks for putting it here I swapped a blue whale pet rock for path tag
Heading south with rattll, en route to GeoToroa at Dunedin. Today, started at Paparoa Point, north of Kaikoura, aiming for... somewhere in North Canterbury, tbc. Our sole confirmed target for the day is GCEB9, at Glentui. The oldest letterbox hybrid in NZ, and coincidentally a Jasmer spot that we both need. Everything else collected today is a bonus, so we're stopping as the whim takes us.Parked nearby, and wandered along to GZ, with seals watching nearby. A quick find, as per the hint. All good inside the container. Signed, and returned as found. Tftc!
Found the cache, the hint wasn't very helpful as it's location isn't described as a 'nook'. Tftc tho
We found the secret spot and my daughter was happy to swap her toy with another one !There is a coin but we don't have the application! And after that we had the chance to see whales and sea lions, so lucky !!Tftc and greetings from France
Trouve ! / Found it ! 5232me cache trouve.Merci hunterxhunters pour la cache 5232th cache found.Thank you hunterxhunters for the cache
Found this while driving to Picton on this lovely overcast day. Dropped a path tag and Charlottesville Virginia keychain from Charlottesville USA. Found with glory glory to Georgia. Thanks for maintaining his cache. Neat which is brew cauldron thingy.
What a great place to stop and watch the dolphins. Didnt take long to find here. Tftc
TFTC Thank you for hiding this cache. You have shown us a new place and have helped make geocaching an enjoyable activity. interesting location.
The last leg of our journey on our 2nd tiki tour in NZ heading from Kaikora down to ChCh grabbing a few caches as we went. Here we searched all around and eventually found the cacheTFTC Tim and Viv - ddm
Quick find on the way past during my drive down this beautiful oceanside road. Great sized cache, although it required some bushwacking to reach.TFTC!
**20,529**Cant seem to dissuade Mr Geckoh from stopping for caches. I want to get to Picton or at least Blenheim soon as we have a ferry crossing tonight and Id rather we had less distance to cover, he seems unconcerned. I guess as long as hes finding them I should be happy! Quick find here after braving the road. TFTC
Looked in trickier spots then found in an obvious one. Not sure if it has always been there ? Added an item to match the hint slightly. Thanks
Wonderful place to place a TB on the way to Picton.TFTCHilgenerSchatzsucher
A fairly quick find, and although I searched the wrong rock to begin with, I found it. I made a few swaps before logging my find. TFTC
Nachdem unsere Whale Watching Tour abgesagt wurde, mussten ein paar Caches als Traurigkeitsbekmpfer herhalten.Dieser war einer davon.
It took longer than it should have! I've been past here hundreds of times and never knew this garden was here. Thanks for the cache.
Day 12 of my Spring Holiday and next leg of the journey on my final holiday day is from Kaikoura to Christchurch and what a Stunner of a day it is! Took a bit to locate this and wasn't where I thought it would be. Spotted cache right in the open so placed "undercover" where it was TFTC
We stopped at a safe park further down the road as in motorhome. Walked back to the lovely area, alot of work been done here, clear paths lots of paua shells etc. Found the Iron and looked in alot of places that were possibilities. Had overlooked the obvious and thought I will try that. Oh my goodness it is the cache lol. Really happy to sign log as made this so hard on myself when didn't need to lol. Thanks for this cache hunterxhunters.
Parked a bit away as never fancy rough stuff. Then a quick amble over. Slow drive down here today to tidy up some caches I never have time for.
That was a bit of a scramble as very overgrown in some places. Eventually spotted something and sure enough it was the cache. tftc
I'd previously looked for this when we were camping at Boat Harbour. I remember going round in circles, smelling roses and getting nowhere. Today I approached from a slightly different angle and spotted the cache straight away. Great to turn a frown upside down. TFTC
Time to start heading home after a great weekend exploring the kaikoura area grabbing caches along the way..

Found with NZDi. It is Waitangi Weekend and NZDi decides she wants to spend a few days in Christchurch to do some retail therapy. A couple of our grandchildren have birthdays coming up and she can't find anything suitable in the local stores in Blenheim and is hoping the big city has a better selection. The plan is to travel south on Friday caching along SH 1, do the shopping on Saturday morning and cache out at the McLeans Island MTB park in the afternoon, then head home on Sunday with a detour to cache the K2R- Passchendaele Memorial Path between Kaiapoi and Rangiora (I guess that is what K2R stands for). Throughout the weekend we dated and signed our logs in full, as KM + ND or a combination of both depending on the room available on the sheet/book.
Today is day one of the trip and having pretty much cached out SH 1 between Blenheim and Kaikoura, our aim is to attempt to do the same between Kaikoura and Christchurch. This is our seventh cache of the day on our way south, slowly turning the green trail to yellow. We have stopped here before and had an unlogged DNF but were hoping to rectify that this time. After reading a previous log which questioned the orientation of the hinted item, we modified our search and quickly found the cache. As a bonus we retrieved a TB that has not been looged since April 2017. The tB owner will be pleased, but I note he has not been caching for a couple of years.

Bit tricky to find. Was the corrugated iron, vertical or horizontal, I wonder? TFTC. Phippa1
A not so quick park and grab.
Back on the Mainland, caching south with the wagging tails, in Van.
Happy New Year, and happy caching TFTC

Found the right spot but took a bit longer to solve the hint. Tftc. Can't wait to see this garden return to its beautiful self.
Beware the rose thorns. Not as obvious as first thought. Thanks to @peadub's determination and @Warebeau8083's hint we found this cache. Signed log and replaced where found. TFTC
.We are heading south after spending the morning in Kaikoura. Stopped at Paua Rock and then decided to walk to this one. Did not realise there was ample parking here. No roses here but evidence of a wonderful roadside garden. Finally tracked thisone down with the hint. Cheers
Out with the Seagnoid, in the Seagnoid Mobile today, to Kaikoura and beyond, for another great road trip on a lovely sunny day.

Today I am travelling from Kaikoura to Christchurch. Finding a few caches along the way. The weather has packed it in and was cold, wet and drizzling most of the way so I tried to go for caches that looked like they would be fairly easy to find. Found my way in to GZ and found the cache as per the hint. TFTC, Biggles.
Found it after reading the hint. We were on the wrong trail, looking in the abandoned garden. We couldn’t smell any roses today, but the coastal scenery was amazing.
Iceworm and me were spending two days in Kaikoura. We saw the whales and a beautiful landscape. Thanks for the caches.
A nice one at the way south to Christchurch. Didn`t expect the lost place garden here Thanks!
I started my great and unique round trip over the South Island in Christchurch.
My first major stopover was at Lake Tapeko - here I hiked up to Observation Mountain.
I then planned two days in Mount Cook NP with some unforgettable hikes. My big goal was the Mueller Hut - on a super strenuous hike I reached it.
I continued my journey over the lonely Danseys Pass to Dunedin.
Afterwards I drove along the Southern Scienic Route via Invercargill to Manapouri for some days. On this route I visited many sights and enjoyed the beautiful nature again and again.
I already booked a tour to the Doubtful Sound in advance - another highlight on my tour.
Afterwards I drove on to Queensown and Wanaka. From there I continued over the Haast Pass to the lonely Jackson Bay with storm and heavy rain. Afterwards I drove along the west coast always in pouring rain.
The rain stopped the whole west coast, but I had good rainwear with me. Only high up in Nelson the sun shone again.
Soon I reached the east coast again in Picton and Blenheim and the sun was shining again.
After a few days I travelled back to Christchurch via the beautiful town of Kaikoura.
At the end of my round trip I spent a few more days in Christchurch and its surroundings.
I visited many geological sites and found many caches on my round trip. In Rangiora I visited an event.
I travelled 3418 km and take home a lot of positive experiences.
Thanks to many beautiful caches I was also shown unique locations, historical sites and geological features.
I am overwhelmed by the fantastic and ever changing nature on the South Island of New Zealand - I will definitely come back.
Many thanks to all owners

On a drive to the ferry stopped off to grab a couple of caches. Had to work out which way to acces the cache but got there in the end. Thanks CO for the cache.
Smelled the roses (great) and something dead (ugly) close to the cache hide. TFTC
Heading home from picking up a car in Wellington. Off the ferry and heading home but had to get a few caches on the way. This was nice and easy to find TFTC
On the way back North now and a break from the stopping and starting along the road. Found the GZ after nearly waking a sleeping seal nearby towards the rock shore. The container was open and all the contents were scattered nearby in the leaves. I gathered them up, grabbed the TB and dropped another. Hope it lasts here before this happens again. Stay safe little cache.
On our way up to visit family in Nelson so thought we'd go up Kaikoura way, nice drive have all day to get there TFTC
I was Kaikōura for the weekend, staying at Takahanga, and went to find a few before heading home/along the way. Last one along the way, and a nice quick find once I approached from the right angle. TFTC!!
No time to stop and smell the roses today unfortunately, had a bit of time pressure to get to Chch and the weather was not good. But not enough pressure to not do a U turn after I drove straight past this one. Once that was sorted, a quick find. Left the TBs there, container is well packed. TFTC hunterxhunters.
Another Friday afternoon drive to ChCh for the weekend, I have a new vehicle to pick up and my niece’s 18th. A few caches found on the left hand side on the way down, as you do, before the darkness hit just north of ChCh. Maybe a few more tomorrow. Thanks to all COs.

Great fun Cache. Had a bunch of good items in it, including a Trackable! Really interesting to look at! Not too difficult, but not to easy. Tftc, Great

Nice bit of bush bashing for the geo dogs. If your feet are wet, you’ve gone to far... unless it’s raining
Checked on this one and definitely still there however forgot my GPS so could not check coordinates!! I'll make the hint more specific. You are looking under the rock to the east of the sheet of corrugated iron.
Ok we will check this one out next time we are down that way, hopefully by next week
Stopped for a look on the way home, we were only there 5 mins but otherwise we probably would've found it.
Last day of our vacation in NZ. We had a great time and lots of sunny and warm days – or perfect clouds for pictures and outdoor activity. But today, the weather really gives us the feeling, that it is time to go. So some last caches along the way to Christchurch.
This one was the third today, we stopped and were not sure whether we were at the right place since the garden was only visible at the second view. But it is true, it smelled differently. And it took only a minute to have the next surprise. A seal was sitting on the rocks. So, we used the bench to watch him a little while. At home, we don’t have individuals like this.
And the box: The hint helped a lot to collect this one.
Thanks to all owners providing us quite some special sights.

Checked in on cache while on our annual holiday. Exactly where it should be however the rose garden is very overgrown and lacking upkeep
New log placed along with current one.

Heading south at the end of the holiday stopping for a few caches along the way. My GPs was jumping so had a look around. Took a few mins but soon had the log signed. TFTC
