Up in Whangarei with Supernannny.Enjoyed this nice piece of bush.We followed the instructions down the path and soon had cache in hand.
Our last cache of the first day of our trip to Whangarei.....This lovely bush area is my favourite of the day, due to the stunning surroundings ...such an awesome patch of bush here!.It was starting to get dark , but we perservered.Determined not to end with a dnf Could have been very tricky.....but luckily we found it !Thanks so much, kenny 897, for showing us such beauty....Favourite Point .
I took the opportunity presented by an extended weekend to visit my parents up north for a couple of days. Now it is time to head back home. I decided to make a slight detour and collect this hide along the way. I parked up at the top of the hill and made my way into the park, crossing the grass to find the trail hidden amongst the trees as the app suggested it would be. I took the lovely trail down towards ground zero. I had noted earlier Tokerau's log that praised the efficacy of the cache description so I used that to navigate. Worked a treat I can tell you! Nice quick find. Cheers for the cache placement!
TFTC! Awesome camp job, happily found it this time round. Regret coming down after a bought of hot weather as there was a cloud of mozzies! (18)
The description was much more use than the GPS and the hint put together. Approaching from the lower entrance one can view a good example of the stone walls that fenced the area back in history of Maunu.
Didnt spend too much time here I could see a lot of hidy holes but no luck this time

Mr Geckoh went off to look for this one on his own but came back as once under the cover of the trees he had lost too much light. So we took the headtorch and returned, expecting a long search but Mr Geckoh had his hand on it on moments of returning to GZ. Some really nice camo and worthy of a favourite point. TFTC

Phone GPS was bouncing around under the tree cover, but soon spotted the hide, cheers
Quick find after visiting the Kiwi house. Appreciated the good description and hint as my old phone doesn't like tree cover. TFTC
Awesome find for our first! Very clever camouflage. Great trip with the kids.
Super cool cache. Great directions made this a quick find. Have looked for it in the past and had no luck, but good this time! Thanks for some Covid-19 lockdown fun!
Great hide! Nice job with the camo. Was too wet to log though. Kids nearly got eaten alive by mosquito guardians. Repellent recommended!
Man, there’s been one of the hardest ones to find so far. GZ going crazy in the trees. Gave up, and went on to hunt for Edge on rye Dam. DNF there too. On the way back, (to pick up my lost sunglasses) I had another look, and it was easier to spot from this direction. Best camo I’ve seen in ages. Log very wet, so didn’t sign it.
A cache worthy of my 100th find!!

Description definitely helped with this one! Was searching the wrong area initially but was a quick find once at GZ. TFTC
Went on a mini hunt as it was really close to my house. First one I've ever done. And what a cool one it was
Found it! Good hiding spot. The log book is a little damp but managed to write in it
#732 5:30 pm Lovely little trail to GZ. I had been saving this one for a day like today. Easy find. FP. TFT(Huhu)C.
I met up with hotrodpete and 0B80B8 late this afternoon for a wander around Barge Park and up into Pukenui Forest, after our walk we went for a drive to pick up a few other caches in the Maunu area. Took a walk down the hill to GZ and soon found the cache by following the description. TFTC!
Out for an evening caching with Hotrodpete and Vistra. Stopped on our way back home to look for this one.
Once we read the description properly, the Huhu grub's home was soon found.

Our GPS was bouncing all over the place but the cache was easily found by reading the description. Thanks
Very well camouflaged. Took me a bit of time to find as there were plenty of Huhu hiding places. My Grandma is a Fitzpatrick so loved the name of the park. Thanks for this clever cache
A quick find this afternoon by HotRodPete and Liz. This is a pleasant little park in suburbia with a nice patch of native bush on the back boundary however the mosquitoes were jealously guarding their bush hide-away.
Very, very well constructed camo. No huhus at home today. TFTC. A fav from me!
Found after a bit of searching. Great camo and good clues if closely followed. TFTC
Day 4 of a trip up north.
Good weather and plenty of nice caches to find.
Found this cache quickly.
Thanks for making my trip fun!

11.35am. Took too many steps at first but it was soon spotted when I retraced my steps. Nice hide in another attractive place.
Thank you. David.
Thank you. David.
Brilliant camo job once again. Took me a few minutes of hunting for this one. TFTC
What a pretty place to have as a backyard; and another beautifully crafted cache camo, though easily found thanks to the accurately detailed description.
Thanks for the cache!
Thanks for the cache!
Lovely wee reserve for a nice stroll zigzagging along the path. Spotted where a Hulu would live very easily and signed log with no troubles here. Thanks for such neat camo yet again . Fav point here.
Crazy Cool cache .
Had to rely on my nose GPSr playing up under the trees.

FTF, Saw the notification at about 5pm. DAM I'm not gonna get that. Oh well nothing I can do about that. Finished work and headed out to get the cache.
Got to GZ and I didn't think to go to the right of the park, but headed straight through.
Got to where I thought GZ was, but there was nothing there, plenty of little spots and what looked like a place that was thought of. But re read the info and looked around a bit more. Headed down the path and found the large rocks. Down a bit further and found gz, much easier than the last place. Nice easy find. FTF 9.05pm
