Again. No luck and shelter even more wrecked than before. Is it still here? No logs since I was here last in May
Find 2050
This one took quite a while to locate. We searched very thoroughly and nothing was showing up. After about 20 mins we decided to get back on the bikes and move on. Just then i spotted what we were looking for. Log signed and all back safe again.
Thanks

Lovely rail trail to walk or ride along with added bonus of a few easy caches on the way
Today we explored Leongatha and surrounds using Geocaching as a guide and picking up a few caches on the way and this was one of them. An easy find.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

I found a structure like this yesterday at Fish Creek. Different size cache but easier to access due to damage done to structure. As I was alone today I'm glad yesterday's experience helped here. TFTC
Took a stroll from the car and made the find here, shame the vandals have damaged this shelter so badly.
A fairly quick find here and then the walk back to the car. Thanks for this placement Crig.

I enjoyed a walk along the rail trail this afternoon, and as I took a seat I was half expecting a bus to pass by! It was a quick find and a great little place to highlight with a cache. I spotted the nearby marker too.
Thanks to crigithis for the cache.

Suscoe was out and about today heading to Leongatha and Korumburra for a bit of caching.
It was an overcast day which kept the temperature quite pleasant.
We saw some beaut country around here.
Our 8th find of the day.
A pleasant ride out here.
A quick find which was appreciated.
Thanks to crig for showing us this spot.
Had a chat to a family along the way.

The second youngest Swanahawk found this tiny cache straight away. Beautiful day for a ride. Thanks.
Found it on our way home from a lovely but very hot weekend at Inverloch. Lucky the cool change had arrived before we attempted this cache. Delightful walk. Found by GeoDad. Thanks. Silkyie
Kato Potato and I were discussing where to head to yesterday and decided on a caching adventure with the four little geokids to Leongatha to get Kato to her 400th cache. After suppressing much road rage at being stuck behind four of the slowest drivers, driving in pairs, on the way in from Traralgon, we parked at the IGA car park to refuel with caffeine. After being served by a delightful moustachioed man (dude uses wax!) we headed down the hill for the rail trail. After years and years of coming through Leongatha, I'm still discovering highlights and the entrance park is stunning. So beautifully maintained!
This was the last stop for us on the rail trail before turning around and it worked out perfectly - Kato gave her youngest a bottle, my youngest was snoozing in the pram and the two bigger kids delighted in mooing at the cows you can see through the scrub (Belted Galloways; we're good at identifying cow breeds thanks to geocaching puzzles). The big kids climbed all over the structure while I searched and searched. I ended up venturing down the hill at one point before turning back and on another circumnavigation, spotted the nano sucker. What relief! TFTC crig - we loved the 79 mile marker, what a great little historical gem.

Out for a day trip to 'Gatha with kyabbott and kidlets yesterday and really enjoyed our stroll (or dawdle/run-like-crazy in the case of the geotoddlers) along the trail. This was a convenient place for a sit down and we enjoyed staring at the cows in a nearby field and a search that was punctuated by "DON'T put your hand in the bird poo" and "DON'T EAT IT!!!" Finally after a significant poke around kyabbott spotted the little tacker and was even able to reach it!!!! No mean feat for one of her stature! Thanks for the hide crig!
Drove to Leongatha to cache around the area, and to complete part of the rail trail.
Thanks to all the owners, for the effort that you put into the construction and the hides.
As we enjoyed the day, we hope to return to complete a few more.
Many thanks for placing this cache, crig, for us and others to find.

Travelling around Australia in our Caravan with our cat, staying at Korumburra for a few days.
After the storms of yesterday, we were hesitant to head out. Mr Felix finally decided about lunchtime he would make another attempt. Dropped off to be picked up again 3km later (to avoid the main road) Then set free again soon after. Sooo windy today. Chatted to the muggles working on the new section of track so an informative afternoon.
TFTC Looking forward to meeting other geocachers at the next Australian Geocaching Mega event

On a magnificent day in Leongatha I grabbed some lunch, parked the GeoRanger and walked and ate on my way to GZ. Arriving I had to wait for some elderly muggles walking along before starting my search. Second spot I looked spotted the little blighter!!
Thanks for the cache crig!!!

Last time I was in the Gatha it was dark and I didn't want to walk this track olone so today was my chance. Quick find on a lovely evening after working in town TFTC
Decided to tackle the Great Southern Rail today on bike so started at Leongatha then on to Koonwarra through to Meeniyan where I stopped for lunch at Moos ( that was yum, well worth it if you are looking for a good feed ) then it was on to Stony Creek then over to Buffalo and across to Fish Creek then down to Foster where I finished, a total of 47.6 km one way. I collected 45 caches along the way and only 3 dnf's. Thanks Crig for the caches.
Found 10:51:00 AM, after a brief search, during a during our Sunday cycling expedition along, a portion of, the Leongatha to Foster Rail Trail.
TNLN, thanks crig.

Out walking the rail trail with Wonthaggi Scouts. One Scout in particular was essential for location of cache. This spot has seen better days. TFTC
An early morning walk along the railtrail. Cache found and log signed with an "x" as the log so small to sign without glasses this morning. Thanks for the cache crigithis.
Out and about at large with my caching buddy Slink1 on another legendary caching trip. Bikes deployed where needed, Walking when appropriate, drive by where possible. A big day of caching enjoyment was had by both of us, and a vote of thanks to the cache owners for the effort and placement of the
caches. A quick find here TNLN SL TFTC.

Found on our Leongatha trip on 9th May. Forgot to complete log when we got home. TFTC
TFTC Now back to town to see if we can find the last couple of caches there this afternoon.
Found some shade to park under at the end of the road and took the walk down the rail-trail. The trail appears to be very well maintained, with the white gravel very bright and glarey under the hot summer sun. Was very amused to find a 'bus shelter' in the middle of nowhere, but even more amused once I spotted the tiny nano-cache (after a bit of seat-standing) - both appeared to be a little out of place. As I sat in the shade to sign the log I noticed the 79 from which the cache gets its name. TFTC.
Found after having dinner in leongatha. Thanks for showing me another part of the trail. Cheers
