As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm temporarily archiving this to keep it from continually showing up in search lists. Just contact us when you have the cache repaired, and assuming it still meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.

The trees are all gone and this cache may not even be safe . Needs looking at . George

Boys have been playing with their Stihl's and there are no trees standing.

Sadly all the pine trees have been chopped down... Think the cache may be no more

From the map we were expecting a bit of a bush bash to find this one. Pleasantly surprised when we arrived at the GZ to find the reserve easily accessible. Went on a bit of a cyclic tour of almost every pine tree due to an unstable GPS, but eventually found the cache's hideout. Thanks for the cache.

#5013. Walked up from Kowhai Rd. A nice backyard feel to this reserve. Found in the second spot looked at. Unfortunately, Dog Poo Tag - Cacher's Best Friend was not in the cache.

Was not quite sure what to expect here but needing to work my way through various stages of the GCLS it was get in and out without waking any of the nearby muggles.

Walked up from the lake to look for some Pine Needles. Bound to be some under these pine trees . Just as one of us spotted the cache, the other skidded over on the slight slope. Those pine needles can be slippery as well as sharp! TFTC.

My mega NZ MEGA 2013 Trip!! Split into two halves - first, the journey up, and then the second half was the actual MEGA time.

This was the first half. I ended up deciding that the best way to travel up for the MEGA was by doing a rental relocation. Jucy had FAR too many cars in Chch that needed going to Auckland, and so with the pick of the crop I went for the 4WD... naturally, being a cacher, I knew this would come in handy!
They paid the vehicle on the ferry, paid the insurance, and gave me a free tank of gas as well as 5 days to get up to Auckland! What more could you want?!!
This was my 212nd cache of the trip.

Sorry about the mostly copied logs - but otherwise I would still be logging till Christmas - and that's Christmas 2014 I mean! Haha.

New Zealand 2103 trip for the Auckland Mega at Albany. Day 8, Rotorua to Taupo. The rain was coming in again so I called it an after noon here. With only a few spots to search this one took ages for me to get to the right one. Thanks.

A bit of a slip and a slide down the bank... GPS initially had us heading for the wrong spot, but it soon corrected itself. Cache was nice and dry, thank you.

In Taupo for the Sika Show and decided to get a few caches and then head for home. Pulled off the road and walked down to the cache - the wind was a bit cool today but nice and sheltered down here. Cache all good and see that another Tauranga cacher is in the area TFTC

In town early for training, so I finally have enough time to tick off the last green box in Taupo. Grabbed just as dark fell and in between showers. Was glad the lights were off in the nearby house, otherwise I would have felt watched... took GC.

All quiet in the gully today. Wasn't sure how to get there but found a place to park and walk from 100 metres. Found the cache quite quickly. Left two TBs but note the other is not in the cache. TFTC.
