Thoroughly enjoyed the blat down the hill from the dam lookout. A quick find. A bit gross discovering a used period pad lying nearby on the ground. I covered it with a rock. Thanks for the cache.#10364
Having a great day out exploring a caching. A nice quick here, and a brand new log. Tftc
Quick find. I think its just been replaced as I had to double check it wasn't a Ftf. Having a great day out caching & swimming.
Today we decided to do the loop around Lake Aviemore and also walked up the Deep Stream Track. We managed to find 27 caches though had a couple of DNFs.We went round the lake in an anti clockwise leaving from Otematata. Having completed the Deep Stream Track series, we were back in the car and completing the drive round the lake. Parked up and began to search. Didn't feel comfortable searching round this building with it being in use - however we found nothing and decided to move on Tim and Viv - ddm
At last! After a dreadful mornings caching, full of DNF, I finally found one. Thanks for the hide.
Exactly where you said it would be all good at GZ thanks for the hide, aptly named.
Grabbing a couple of caches before it is time to head home, lovely mild morning. Was initially worried as they were doing some works nearby, but the cache was there and is fine. TFTC
Tftc. A quick grab before we head home. Spend a few hours here in the summer. Very deserted today.
Mr and Mrs eve07 showing us the area after spending a night with them at their holiday home
2 cars containing Mr & Mrs eve07, Mr and Mrs VDH6 and Mr and Mrs p&vee .
For a chance I didn't need to use the 'Temple"

An interesting building to view and very practical. Nice to be able to log a cache associated with a loo. It was a similar situation in Christchurch that gave me the idea for the Dunedin facilities. Cache is in good condition. Thanks drawp for placing the cache.
Overnighting in Otematata while on the A2O. Out for a drive to the dam and back after dinner.
We missed this one while cycling into town. A quick find by Ms M. I like the mural on the wall. TFTC

Parked up here tonight in our camper and now going for a walk around before tea - TFTC
Day 3 - Labour weekend extended road trip with Kiwicampnut - relocated to stay south of the ditch.
Called by on the way to the PWGT cache. The shape is certainly temple like, and the murals appropriate for the real use of the building.
Adequate for our needs, but could do with some TLC. (But pleased we stopped as the ones further on are locked.)
Thanks for the cache drawp

On a trip with Ruru_NZ to gather the tour caches needed or in my case not done yet. Should be able to knock them off on this trip.
Used the temple while we were here. Can see how the cache was named when structure viewed from certain angle.

One of the last caches fir the day as the sun has disappeared and it is getting cold.
#9427. I am on a South Island road trip with Infoferret over the Easter break. We have travelled here from Christchurch via Hanmer Springs, Lewis Pass, Reefton, Greymouth, Haast Pass, Wanaka, Cromwell, Queenstown and Twizel. The main purpose of the trip is to locate the PWGT geotour caches but I still have some TMGT caches to get. We are also interested in finding Virtual caches and a few earthcaches but are happy to stop for traditional caches if they are on the way and we still have time. Stunning fine weather and scenic views today but its extremely windy.
Its my first time driving down the Waitaki valley and I am finding it very interesting. The dam is a spectacular bit of engineering. After returning from the PWGT cache we stopped here to admire the scenery, do some bird watching and IF went off to visit the temple. She soon located the cache. Signed the logbook and replaced the cache where found. Thanks drawp for hiding this cache here. Glad it wasn't a hanging in the park special.

An interesting structure for a dunny. Iijed the artwork though. Thanks for the placement drawp
Found with StreetWalkerNZ on day 2 of our Waitangi weekend to Kurow and surrounds. Today we are doing a loop trip, travelling the road east of Lake Aviemore, then up to Omarama for a late lunch back south to Kurow, finding 55 caches along the way.
I overshot GZ and was loitering behind the "temple" when a couple of cyclists passed me. I felt very dodgy and was pleased when SW went straight for the cache. TFTC.

On a roadie round-trip from invercargill up through the pigroot, out in the back country onto this road. Heading to Omarama. A diversion here to grab a few caches around the dam. Needed the temple Noone around to spy on me loitering around the building, a quick find in a good hide, cache all good tftc
Perfect to save this one for our way back when I actually had to use The Temple. No one around at the time either. Cheers.
Found on a cold and rainy Labour Day, thankfully not too long before we jumped back in the car and on to the next. Found with Flumsy2. Thanks for placing.
Day trip to visit some friends up the road, came up with MinionOne and had a great time out of the wind and into a bit of a calm patch. Walked straight past it, got snagged then found it on my way out.
======== NZ Mega 2020 ========
Planning for the NZ Mega 2020 event is well underway. It will be held in Auckland over Labour Weekend, 23 to 26 October 2020. It's going to be a massive celebration of geocaching:
20 years of geocaching worldwide.
20 years since New Zealand had the very first geocache hidden outside of USA.
And it's 2020 - all the 20s!
Talk to your geo-friends and start planning to be part of this event - you won't want to miss it!

Decided to make a trip to Duntroon over the Dansey Pass. Lots of logs to find and sign and this one was one of them. Day and it begins again. TFTC
