Out and about for a spot of cache detection on this cold and windy day. With heavy showers forecast today I was focused on park and grabs to stay out of the worst of the weather. I parked up and entered this little park. I bet this was nice once, shame to see it unloved. Anyway, took several minutes to track this sneaky hide down. Unfortunately, the camo is entirely unsound and fell apart in my hand. Log was signed no problem. Cache needs some CO TLC. Cheers for the smiley!
A win for Mrs Tuolei here - sneaky hide but she was up to the task. Had to wait for a couple of muggles that were checking their tyres to move on but once gone we were able to have a good look around. We had some chickens to keep us company but they moved along too. Thanks for placing this, very clever.

On a mission to get an FTF tonight. Decided to pick up few caches on the way. I had a clear idea what to look for, but few of them were there around. finally found it from the smallest one. Clever.. tftc.

Up this way for some paint ball, arrived a little early so this meant geocaching as well, bonus
Took a bit of a search, but eventually found it

Strange little picnic spot. Took 10 minutes of searching before Scotty located the hide. Log saturated. Replaced log as well as adding a small plastic bag. Nice job on the camo. TFTC
I couldn't find it I think by everyone saying that someone left the lid of I think someone's taken it for good sorry everyone l.
Great hide. Log very wet, and full. Added another but it will get wet too.. Thanks, good one
Clever cache. Log was wet and full unfortunately, but we did what we could. TFTC
Have been here a few times, after being in the forest, to look for this and finally found it. I'm sure I have been very close before but so pleased to actually spot it and finally have a smiley. # 1 today. TFTC
Team caching today with kakesnz, snarsha and okayness. Benefitted from their previous attempts at this one and group persistence finally paid off! First for the day of many. YAY.
Finally. Caching yet again with Kakesnz and okayness, and joined by Mojitoma, Kakesnz took a second look at something we'd discarded from thought. One tool wasn't enough - the lid was on incorrectly. Got it off, cleaned it up, and dried the log a bit. Getting pretty full! Thanks a bunch for the cache!!
For a caching weekend away with the HKCB this was a late but welcome start in this great piece of countryside that I had never visited before.
So after having spent a caching trip where I slept in a bed rather than a car, and having had a shower (so this must be how normal cachers start their day when caching) while getting a tour of the Albertlanders History before heading south.
We collected this one following on from cretti's series of puzzle caches and heading south once again
Great spot for the cache and we were happy to have the place to ourselves.
thanks for brining me to this spot to enjoy the surrounds.

A little while ago an idea was thrown about to head north for a final caching roadtrip for the year. So along with C&D a rough plan was formed with a certain few caches, a confluence point visit, an event to attend, and the rest of the plan was to be made up as we went along. A later start this morning, but we'd achieved most of what we had wanted to do yesterday so a nice crusiey day today. Heading home the along way via Helensville to grab a few more caches.
Took a bit of effort to locate this one, but finding some discarded syringes laying about we didn't feel like digging about to much. Eventually though the cache was located and with a tool we got to the log. Thanks for the hide.

Needed more than a key here as the previous cacher didn't put the lid back on correctly. An extra tool, a bit of persuasion and log was signed with lid correctly closed. TFTC !!!
Hunted for ages in rain. Pretty sure I found spot where it should have been but no sign of it! Better luck next time
Found , but a bit away from coordinates so may have been accidentally found or moved. Replaced closer to coordinates. Log very wet - not able to write on it . Neat disguise though. Thanks
Wasted far too much time over-thinking this one til I re-considered the title and then, there it was. I had a screwdriver in my TOTT's so retrieval was easy but the log is real wet. TFTC
Took a little while but awesome find, even in the rain! I confirm Amy's findings below. Please take care
AWESOME CACHE! Log wet and a bit too hard to write on. CAUTION whilst looking, we sadly found some used needles. So look with care, wear shoes and don't bring children.
Having just competed in the tough guy gal for kids and won a panda soft toy for my efforts... came looking for this cache with stik-a-crane....
sorry for the delay logging.
TFTC.

We were just down the road supporting young EIR-0T in her quest to complete the Tough Gal and Guy challenge and spotted this cache down the road, so had to collect it... busy little road with logging trucks and the like
Found with HeMaLuDy and darthecacher1 and Purply.

We were nearby for the junior tough gal and guy challenge and decided to do a few caches on the way home. We spent a while looking here, searching in likely places, and common hide places that we don't like so much. Stepped back and there was the cache, easy to spot as it was upside down. Found with stik-a-crane, eir-ot, darthcacher1 and purply
Out today with a muggle friend to tramp up Mt Auckland. Found container quickly but had to return to the car to get the proper tools. TFTC
Just doing a handful of caches after work but now it is really dark. Took me awhile to find the offending item, when I had it in my hand, I had the aah hah moment! Well done.
Found but couldn't open as the plastic had melted; didn't want to break by using too much force
Found with chloe~jackman and yomurolt. Very clever hide. No tool to open so not signed. TFTC
Yay! Second cache and found it very very clever! Felt awesome being able to find it! Key won't work though to open, plastic has become soft- need a knife or something stronger
Nice quick find but took ages to get the log out luckily we had our multitool to help! TFTC
What a clever hide. Avoid the gazebo and look for firewood. Used a screwdriver from toolkit
on the way home from a good walk with Alligatorsnz, Vistra and friendly muggles. I turned off the do this one, next minute Vistra followed me, only to have Alligators turn up a minute later haha. Found ok, yes general GZ could do with a reno! clever camo do like the container thanks
I was on my way back home after spending a good part of the day wandering around Woodhill Forest. I was following lochnessmonsta and watched her turn off down this side street - I then remembered there were a couple of caches down here I hadn't found yet, so I did a quick u-turn and joined her on the search. We soon spotted the nicely hidden cache - I had a tool in my pocket that helped opening it. TFTC!
happened to be driving by on the way home from a walk and glancing down the side street = knowing their where couple of never finds down there - i see my fellow walkers caching with out me.. busted.. they had already done this one so off i went with one of their devices( since mine was asleep).. HOW ON EARTH did i miss that last time? OMG... lol.. done - thank you
Appreciate the container. This is what caching is all about. Enjoyed looking for this, thanks.
Wandered around in circles checking all sorts of objects and trying to get the GPS to settle - it didnt but in the end Stretch0 looked somewhere I had already looked and there it was Duh !! signed log thanks for the cache
This one had us stumped for awhile and when it was finally found we had been so close so many times but not spotted what we were looking at . Finally spotted just before dark so another smiley and a great little cache TFTC
Found plenty of candidate objects about GZ but failed to spot the cache. Probably a better one to be doing in the day!
(1033) Down in the area mountain biking today, so took the opportunity to grab some caches. This wee treasure took a little finding, but persistence paid off. TFTC
Yay ! Another very cool one thanks ! Luckily I knew to bring my tools ...TFTC cs1111
Love this sort of camo ....

A little bit messy here, im sure it use to be a lovely rest stop. With 4 of us looking this took longer than most on our drive home. Finally found it! thanks
Found it finally after a fair bit of fumbling around in the bushes and turning over logs.
A shame this area has gone ruin. This got me going so many places it could be. Did need a tool luckily had tweezers so did it. TFTC
Found originally as part of rebel98 team, now created own account, re-logging as rustynz
Frisbee golf and caching, a winning combination. Return visit for the day, this time with more success. See rebel98 log. Thanks again for the hide.

Tried on way up the road with no luck, after finding being watched was inspired to try again, located successfully this time. Nicely cammo'd. Shame this area has gone to ruin, i remember picnicking here years ago. Caching with rebel98.
Had a search before frisbee golf. After turning over a number of logs etc we left GZ, we needed a few hours of walking around a field chasing a frisbee to clear our thoughts.
Giving ourselves a time limit of 5 minutes. This second attempt was a success. The hand/eye co-ordination skills acquired playing golf got us there! LOL yeah right!
Needed tool to extract log, clever camo and hide. Thanks for the adventure.

had to give it away with a muggle parked right in the middle.... moved on quickly
Spending a weekend in Whangarei. What to do with spare time? Caching!
We found so many logs. It reminded me of my younger days, when I spent many a weekend in this forest, engaged in a sport, head butting logs. The sport was called Orienteering and the logs were still trees. It was nice to find a log which I did not have to head butt. Too old now anyway.
But did find the right log and signed the cache.
Thanks cs1111.

Was about to go MTBing in the forest and I thought that I had better log this one. So many logs to choose. I searched all but one of them. TFTC.
A quick stop to find this one, although we were getting tired and hungry and wanted to find a place to sleep for the night.. but a cache is a cache.
Turned out it was a good thing, as most of these RTH-caches were something different
This one gets a point.
Found at 19:18 - #4117 - together with aedk and Difool - logged as RAD to save space and time

I am not much of a logwriter, so see renelms, and possibly Difools, log for details.

12438... Had a few specimens to chose from, but soon had the log extracted with a TOTT. Nice hide, TFTC.
Found this really quickly. Can't say the same for signing the log, had to search the cache bag, as car toolbox had been put in the 4wd yesterday and not returned to the car to try and find something suitable to open, key wasn't working today. Eventually got it open. Clever hide. SL. TFTC.
That's a genius cache. Enjoyed the hunt. Seems to be easier at night with a torch. Log was wet. But I signed the sheet with waterproof pen.
As it dawned a great day I decided to pick off the caches up the Peninsula past Parakai onto South Head of the Kaipara Harbour.
I had looked for this one on the way up with no success so decided to give it one more try on my way back. I put my hand right on it. How did I miss it this morning.
Cheers for the cache.
Had just completed an orienteering event at the forest, accessed via Restall Rd and was up the road doing other caches when I discovered the 2 caches here in Restall Rd on my GPSR. Decided to do [most] of those ones and then return 3 hours later. Good thing I did as traffic VERY busy coming from the forest even at this time! Quick find - really love these disguises!!
Many thx for the work in setting this up!

Met up with JacksonNZ here after orienteering and after a good look used our PAF option. As is always the way once you give up and ask for help you spot it straight away. Nice hide and TFTC
Decided to nab a cache or two on our way home from the NWOC Rogaine in Woodhill forest. Stopped to get this one, but GPS was a bit vague, and without a good description or hint, this was a bit tricky. Lots of cans and bottles about, so we filled up our trash out bag. Then Team Welsh arrived with a better GPS, but a further 10 minutes of the four of us looking still failed to find it, (though they finished off the trash out with their bag). Eventually, on Team Welsh's advice, we headed up the road to get RTH Being Watched, while they tried phone a friend. Got back just in time to see the find being made. We supplied the required "key" to open the cache, so it truly was a team effort. TFTC.
Yet another good hide. Really enjoyed this series of caches as they are all so different so keep them coming TFTC.
GPS took me to an area with recent tree felling. The cache description contained a hint that didn't gel with me. I'll watch this and try again another day.
Out and about for a Sunday driver, and a cache or 2. Nice n easy drive-by. Thanks.
Yeh ha. Yes logged it here today.co ords a tad out so was happy to get the smilie here today.
Searched and searched and searched, but all we came across was lots of garbage and no cache . All we came away with were scratches and bug bites . We just couldn't fathom why a cache would be hidden in this messy, overgrown place???
A nice quick easy find. Very good camo. Co-ords spot on.
I used to do a lot of mountain biking in this forest before it was 'carved up' into specific areas for particular activities. TFTC.

A bit of a prickly search eventually uncovered this cache, also a little off the co-ordinates. Nicely hidden and great camo! Container was a little tricky to open.
A very interesting container with good camouflage. However the coordinates were off by quite a large distance. TFTC
Headed down here with Kiwiz@GZ after failing just up the road. Used Kiwicouple's coords here and found them to be spot on. The published coords were a bit off in the west direction. Took a few minutes of searching in as I spiralled in on GZ and then spotted something that looked suspicious. A tiny bit of the camo came off, sorry about that, not from forcing it or anything, it literally just fell off, but it doesn't really affect the hide. Used my leatherman to open it. Nice hide, definitely. TFTC!!!
This place has certainly seen better days - shame it has been so neglected. We had a bit of a search for the cache before deciding to move on to Being Watched further down the road. On our return we searched all the likely places, then widened our search area, and still came up with nothing. It wasn't until the search area was widened even more that the cache was spotted. Very nice camo! Our key was too big, so had to fashion something out of a piece of wire we had in the car, so we could access the logsheet. Third FTF of the morning . Thanks! A favourite for the interesting location and container.
