#6665.After visiting the mineral pools, we headed off to find this one. It was just too warm for the rest of the family, and they opted to remain in the air-conditioned car while I went off in search of the cache. When I spotted the location, I really hoped for a quick find. My wish was granted and it turned out to be a quick and easy find. TFTC!
Reperio 11:00Day 4 of my little escapade to Albury for the weekend, and having camped the night in Wagga Wagga, it was time to head home to Orange. Like others have mentioned, anytime you come across a cache on a war gun you start to think how much time am I going to lose to this cache. But fortunately it was in the most obvious spot. Gratias wbfotoAs a well spent day brings happy sleep, a well spent life brings happy death - LDV
Neighbour doesnt like people hanging around has been saying that story for sometime not true
I had a look but too many places. Neighbour said there is a brown snake that lives in the gun.
A surprising object to find in an out of the way location. SL at 4.48pm - and time to continue north to West Wyalong - where we will stay tonight. #11,350 TFTC wbfoto - thanks for showing us some highlights of Barmedman.
Oh no !!! Not another nano on a gun !!! I thought. But five seconds later I had the cache in hand. What a relief. Log signed, cache replaced and I was soon on my way.
Quick find today with the kids as part of our central NSW school holiday road trip. Thanks for the fun and adventure.

Now to get away!Day 15:After another swim in the mineral pools it was off further south towards Wagga Wagga, making a few stops along the way.Found quickly in one of the obvious spots on this object. Thanks wbfoto for adding this cache to the worldwide collection for us all to enjoy. ----------------------------------------------------------The Ballarat GeoTour ends on 4 March 2024! A fun short holiday with friends caching further from home base than normal exploring and enjoying new locations. TFTC
Temora region caching; this was a quick find at GZ. Cache and log in good condition. Thanks!
Checked out holes with camera as I didn't want to disturb any wriggling sticks

Team Crackers, The Drovers, Geoturtle37 and myself are all setting off to attend the last QOGM in Longreach and then we hope the weather will allow us to continue onto Cape York.We don't remember now but we are quite sure that there would have been some select language when we realised where we were going to be searching. The cache was actually found reasonable quickly and was signed with the acronym, C.O.B.. This was for Cape or Bust. Thanks for placing this cache for all to enjoy.
Got brave and put on a glove to reach in... had to search all the holes a second time before I finally felt something that wasn't trying to kill me. Tftc
No luck here for me. Not many spots for a small and only a few matched the hint. If it’s a micro than it could still be there as I didn’t look for that size cache. Others have said they found it quickly

The garden needs some much needed maintenance. The object was rusty and with few hiding spots matching the hint, the small cache was found quickly.

Thanks for the cache, all looks to be in good condition. Just be mindful of the hornets nests that are around this location. I came in close contact with a few and they're not friendly!
We are on a camping trip in NSW, and we spend a couple of days in Temora and area.
We love travelling and caching.

We have left the beautiful town of Temora and are heading North towards home in North Brisbane.
We checked the campground here , but decided to continue to West Wyolong for the night, as the mineral pool is still closed.

Found on the trip home after another awesome, annual QOGM event. On the hunting trail again with SeasonedBird (aka Mrs Geo, Salty Chook, the Old Boiler, Old Chook, Dirty Bird, Angry Bird & occasionally even Love Bird). It’s a great day for caching.

Have to not be scared of the spiders and get your hand in there. The stick didn’t work!!!!
Found after a bit of searching Don’t be scared thinking there might be spiders Thank you for placing
Headed away for a bit of a post lockdown trip to central west NSW. My main goal for the trip was to find GC2F6F (2001 cache), but as always I couldn't drive past as if it wasn't there. This was one of the many caches I found on my road trip.
Found in the first spot I looked.
Thanks to the CO's for hiding your cache and contributing in a small way to the fun I had.

#11869 - 12:10; Day one of a mission through the Central West of New South Wales with Sol de lune to grab some of the dragonZones and counties to our west. Today's travels took us through Binalong, Temora, Barmedman, West Wyalong, Rankin Springs, Goolgowi, Hillston and finally Lake Cargelligo where we spent the night. Stopped on the way through Barmedman for me to log this cache which Sdl had found on an earlier visit. Hides of this kind are not a real favourite of mine, although this style of equipment isn't usually too bad. Still took four attempts to make the find today! TFTC wbfoto
Quite an easy find. Enjoyed the story of Corporal Rattey. Cache is in good condition. Signed and replaced. Thanks for placing the cache

Found on a trip around central New South Wales with e.gregory1. Our original plans were to travel through Bourke, Cunamulla and Toowoomba to attend the Dayboro event in Queensland and return via Port Macquarie and central NSW, but a series of events that included road closures due to flooding in southern inland Queensland, a covid outbreak in Brisbane and widespread storm damage and road closures along the north coast of NSW resulted in multiple changes of plans during the trip. As it eventuated our travels took us to central New South Wales, on a route from Broken Hill to Cobar, Nyngan, and Gunnedah from where we meandered southwards through some great scenery and historic towns that included Dunedoo, Wellington, Cowra and Yass. We then headed in a roughly westerly direction through to Temora, Wagga Wagga, Deniliquin and Swan Hill before making a final dash for home. All up we found a good mix of Traditionals, Puzzle Caches, Multicaches, Adventure Labs, Wherigos, Earthcaches, Letterbox Hybrids and Virtual Caches on a very entertaining and enjoyable trip. Thanks for the cache wbfoto!
Found on a trip around inland NSW with FeatherWaite.
Our original intention was to attend the Mega event at Dayboro in Queensland, travelling up via Broken Hill, Bourke, Cunamulla and Toowoomba, then home via the NSW coast to Port Macquarie then on to Adelaide via central NSW. However, the Covid outbreak in Brisbane forced us to reconsider, particularly given that the Mega and associated events were within the area of concern and we may have had difficulty re-entering NSW to get home and then would have had to quarantine back in SA for 14 days.
The floods in the north and east of NSW also hampered our travel plans. But we were able to develop a new plan that took us on a very pleasant tour around country NSW, picking up some interesting caches along the way.
Thanks wbfoto for the cache.

Day 2 of our trip from western Vic to the Dayboro mega. We spent last night at the free camp behind the Grong Grong pub (supporting the locals by buying dinner there too), and planned to get to Wellington today via Grenfell. We enjoyed a fantastic brekky at a cafe in Ardlethan and met new friends before heading this way. However it was here in Barmedman where our plans went pear shaped, as they closed the Mary Gilmour Way 20 minutes before we got here, due to road damage from the floods. We tried another road but got 10km before the water turned us back to Barmedman. We ended up back at Temora before being able to get back on track via Young.
So while we were here in Barmedman trying to work out how to get out of here with so many roads closed, we found the two caches that are in town. This one we managed to walk straight up to, which is unusual for us given this sort of structure. TFTC wbfoto.

Staying in Barmedman, so easy enough to pop out and pick up the 2 local caches. It's rather sad how this important area gets neglected. We did have alittle groan on seeing GZ knowing that these hides can sometimes be problematic but lucky for us, the first location checked gave up the goods. Tftc
A parked beside a very cool horse trough. Then crunched my way over numerous kurrajong seed pods. The story on the storyboard near the cenotaph was fascinating. Hell of a brave soldier. tftc
This park was a little more wild and wooly than i was expecting after visiting some other spots in town. The cache took me a thorougher search today. But we were victorious!
Stopped in here as part of our Great Western County Hunt. It has been a truly incredible trip, as I managed to pick up the last four counties I needed to fill in my NSW county map. A super exciting thing to complete. Thanks for enabling our crazy adventures. Thanks for the cache.

I decided to drive to Cootamundra for the long weekend to stay with my sister Ottercreek29. Plans were in for a quick drive to West Wyalong to look at the painted silo and do some caching on the way, so we go up early and J-quellan and The Ryan Girls picked me and Ottercreek29 up and off we went. It was a nice drive and this was our first one of the day, signed the log as Team Flame Trees (Darzee Di, OtterCreek29, J-Quellan and the Ryan Girls) love this area and the old gun, using the hint it didn't take long to find tftc wbfoto.
Found on (16/06/202) This was my 2nd find for the day. I drive through here quite a lot and I never knew this spot was here! Awesome spot to stop in for lunch! Heaps of seating and was beautiful to listen to all the birds cooing! Discrete but Quick find. SL * TFTC
#3773 Heading from Canberra to Ungarie for the day, this was our third cache for the day. Found with Green-martian and co. Not sure who spotted it first but easy when you know where to look. Replaced as found. Thanks wbfoto.
Finally the borders are open and we folk stuck in the ACT feeling like an oppressed society are able to get out. The birds can legally fly to migrate, ants can build a nest and cachers can cache in NSW without the threat of getting arrested. Hint made this find a lot easier. Tftc
Caching in and around West Wyalong and surrounds we picked up a few caches and this was one of them.
Cache and contents were in good condition.

What a great memorial! Take the time to read the story here as well, thanks to the cache owner for highlighting this place!
Went on a road trip for may reason, 90th bday, visit old friends and relos, some of them with bad memory problems, and a cemetery or two to get recent pics of the grandparents and great grandparents. It was a great trip catching up with lots of people we had not seen for many years and have a great party of two. During our round trip we were also able to collect some cache along the way.
These men and today women fought hard for our country, We Will Remember Them. Anyways onto the cache, this was a quick find I did leave a TB, Lyantha hear. It is unusual to have a quick find with this kind of hide but if you listen to the information it will fall into you hand. We discovered it, put our John Hancock on it, we replaced it, then made our way back to the Geomobile, now it has been logged.
Thanks wbfoto for this cache, Lil Donna

We cringed as we arrived at this location - one of those horrible things to be searched with very little light was not a tempting proposition. Our torch was certainly required here. Then we noticed a feature of the object which matched the hint - very well. In fact there were multiple identical locations and we found the cache in the third of these. It turned out to be a quick find. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks wbfoto for the cache.
Not generally a fan of these hides but was determined to make a find in this town on our way through. Surprisingly it was a quick find TFTC
Heading back slowly to Tassie after picking up our son’s car in Brisbane. Have driven this road many times and it is always nice to deviate and stretch the legs. Fairly quick when we arrived at GZ.

Another place we have driven by many times and never stopped to wnjoy the history or views, nice quick find although I panicked as a pulled up right beside GZ this is going to take time and patience, but nope nice quick one.
I did think we would be caught in the dust as I approached town also, we had a massive whirly wind of dust sweep the road before us.
Thanks for placing this cache for me and others to enjoy wbfoto.

I love these military themed caches.
Took sometime with an iPhone torch at 11pm. But when there are many holes and you get it on the 3rd I consider myself lucky that it was that quick.
Visited a TB and left.

Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for us to find. We are on our way south after attending QOGM, Queensland Outback Geo Muster which was in Barcaldine this year and Blackall next year.
Aquisk find and after adding my name to the log I returned him to his hidey hole. Signed log as SG as I often do in small logs to save space.

All four Fergzters completed their holiday to Canberra and now its time to head west to visit family in West Wyalong. We found this cache along the way. A nice quick find here (thankfully). A great tribute to all who serve(d). TFTC wbfoto
We had semi-muggle friends with us this weekend who had a very keen child who was up for the find and he came up with the goods here! When I saw where the cache was I had a shudder wondering just how long it would take, however we were pleasantly surprised.
A quick read of a few of the plaques and off we went.
