We looked for a while but could've get the location

I'm here in TSV for a few weeks. It's nice to have some time to get out and explore local caches. I have several trackables with me and seem to be having difficulty finding cache containers large enough to drop them. Does anyone know if there's a TB Hotel anywhere in Townsville?
This was one of the cleverest hides I've seen in a while. It gets a coveted fave rating! Unfortunately, I left my pen at the Sugar Shaker where I'm staying and so was unable to sign the log. But I'm coming back for Forest Rain in the next few days and will sign the log then. TFTC!

On our trip trough Australia with the hole family we looked also for some caches. They often showed us places we would never had discovered. Thanks a lot to all the people who care about this lovely hobby .
Elefantefurz found this one while I still was looking around... Wow, cool, looked first for the wrong one.
We leave a favo!
Greetings from switzerland .

I'm pretty sure this cache was planted by mosquitos in order to lure unknowing people in to feast on them. Will go back once I'm equipped with insect repellent.
My first ever find. Nearly have up because of the mozzies but I found it at the last second! Thanks
So clever!! Definitely there and definitely worth the time our first one found!
Got to the botanic gardens as part of the "Sightseeing in Townsville" multi and didn't want to miss out on the other caches in the gardens.
This one was up first and I immediately had the right idea, just checked in the wrong spot. Double checking the GPS and then made the find, awesome idea and construction, thank you for that!

Found with MegUA, this cache took us longer than it should have, but after being hesitant to search at first we made an eventual find, tftc.
Found this afternoon with LC85, really enjoyed our wander around the gardens picking up a few caches. This hide had us tricked for a little while before finally found it. Nice construction. Left PT. Tftc ICP.
Found log in nearby bushes and thought it odd as others said they logged on old receipts. Kept looking and geo son finally found receipts & paper so have added log back to where it belongs.
Klettercache and me are making a 5 week holiday in Australia and our route leads us from Sydney via Brisbane to Cairns. From Cairns, we are going to take a flight to Adelaide and from this city in Southern Australia we will continue our trip by train through the Nullarbor Plain towards Perth, where we will fly back to Germany.
During this second week of our stay, we drove a rental car from Sydney to the North and the trip will end up in Cairns next week. We have to drive really a lot of kilometers but there is always a possibility for a short stop to search for some caches. Luckily, lots of caches are placed at the rest stops where we need to stop anyway.
This day, we were driving from Airlie Beach to Townville but in the beginning of the day we had lots of rain and unfortunately, the nice villages and its beaches along the road were rather grey today.
Later the day the weather improved and finding caches was much more fun than during the first kilometers of the trip.
This cache was the first we could find in Townville as it was closest to our motel. We walked to the city quite after arrival and found this nice park along the way. The cache was hidden quite tricky.
Thanks to the owner for keeping and maintaining the cache.

I have found this one today together with my dad schwabenheini.
Thanks for hiding the cache.
Thanks for hiding the cache.
Got distracted by a more obvious (but authentic) spot and missed the hide for a while. Right thinking - just not looking hard enough! TFTC on a wet Townsville morning, waiting for a wedding in the gardens this afternoon.
Like others, think I found it (with YemimaE). Not a real log book inside just an old receipt.
Took a while to find. gps was out by a few metres but found it after a fair few minutes
Out and about again today driving around Townsville looking for a cache or two.
No luck with this one today. I looked in the most likely places but didn't come with the goods.

I agree with the comment bellow...woow we got eaten alive. But very smart hide. Well done.
A bit of hunting for this one, but fortunately the mozzies were obliging and airlifted us around to search . Happily the cache was located before we died from blood loss and the clever container made it well worth the effort. Thanks for another cool cache insane.cache.posse
Silly of me not to get this one right away as I have one in cairns just waiting to be placed when I get home from easter weekend away. Found anyway. TFTC
amazing idea for a cache, so much thought and work went into it, just superb! thanks very much for that awesome cache.
Found with geoneph. (Gdaygday7) and geoferals no.s 1 (batman93), and 2and 4 on a day trip to townsville from Charters Towers. Quite easy to find. Heaps a mossies though!. TFTF.
Found with GNRN6S and GdayGday7 on a geo hunting day trip to townsville Interesting find!
Nice camo for its position. A lot of thought went into its hide and blending in.

Found at 12.45. Great cache container. We were up in Townsville for a wedding on the weekend and thought we might catch up on some caches at the same time. Growing up in Townsville I always had fond memories of Queens Gardens so finding some caches here was a nice surprise. TFTC. Brought through personal GC and TB for mileage.
After a huge morning climbing all over the 5 Peaks series, I was looking for a few caches that were within walking distance of the hotel and would be interesting to complete. Queens Park seemed perfect.
It was hot and I was very glad of the shade. From reading the description and hint, I knew exactly what I was looking for. Pulled up a little earlier than the GPS was indicating, only to find out that this one was real. A few metres more and I had quickly had the cache in hand.
Very nicely constructed container. Blends in perfectly with the real set up nearby. Thanks for the cache, Insane. Cache Posse.

In town collecting one of his geoTreadlies from the shop, geoD decided to take the opportunity to collect a cache. A short stroll through the pleasant park soon had him at GZ, it also coincided with the arrival of a grounds keeper so a short wait was in order before the search and find could be had.
These sort of containers are quite common now days but I'm not sure we've ever seen one positioned like this.

Found with our friend Gordon, his first look at geocaching and we were really happy that it was an interesting container. There needs to be more of these types of caches. Thanks a lot.
My first find. I am pleased with myself. Trying to learn Geo so I can keep up with the grand kids . Thank you.
Nicely constructed cache which earns you a fav point. Best use of the environment for one of these yet. Obviously a quick find for me. TFTC
An afternoon of caching as the heat was high so I was all too keen for something under the shade of some big old trees. As I looked at this one on the map I saw that it is in the garden grounds and thought just the spot.
I set off on foot dodging the grounds keepers in their little chariots picking up branches etc. I walked up and down the path for about 40 minutes as the GPS danced around more than Paul Mecurio in Strictly Ballroom.
After awhile the bell went from the near by school and soon I knew kids would be running around the adjacent playground. I stood back and something caught my eye as it was just different to the rest of them that I had seen around the place. Sure as the sun rises in the east there it was. A quick sign as the chariot was inbound my direction again and another smiley was on its way.

Have been here before but this time I looked outside the square. Some thought plus innovation has gone into setting up this cache. ICP can be congratulated. I just love it. SL TFTC
Had a look for this cache while completing Corikra's In Her Majesty's Garden multi. Missed it first time, but came back for another go after I completed the other cache. Soon discovered it when I was about to give up. The GPS on the smartphone was jumping all over the place under the trees, which added to my plight further. The shear audacity of this hide is brilliant and is why I'm awarding it a Favourite Point. TFTC ICP. SL {#363}.
Mr TiedyeSmileys had exactly the right idea for what this would be and looked exactly in the wrong spot, leaving it open for Mrs TiedyeSmileys to quickly find the real hiding spot nearby.

This is really a tricky one. Before we found the cache, we found a pencil. We thougt, that someone was so angry about the cache, that he throw it away.

Tricky hide! Compass was playing havoc with me so had to use the clues...very bold
Seeing as we were in the gardens picking up Forest Rain, we thought we might be able to tick this one off too. We were using the smartphone today and it wasn't being particularly smart but with the hint, we were soon on the right track. Clever one! Thanks ICP
Best one i found in Townsville so far! SL and replaced cache. TFTC! Nice garden btw
Spent the afternoon tidying up a few that we had missed around town.
We have seen these used before, but this one is bold. The palm protecting it has huge teeth.
A favorite point from us, well done.
Thanks for the cache, insane.cache.posse.

Before departing, we went to the garden, and after a short while, Mr Wanderer found the cache; MS Wandererin had tried to turn it but didn´t somehow succeed...
#338 a nice find, and quicker than the last one... 2 of 4 for the day...
I came over to this one from FOREST RAIN. I was soon at GZ, and read the description for some clues. It took a bit of looking, but after observing the are carefully, saw something that was a bit out of place. I went and tried it, and sure enough, I soon had the cache in hand. A nice cache though, and its unlikely that muggles will notice it. Signed the log and replaced the cache before heading off to start gathering clues for In Her Majesty's Garden... Thanks for the cache I.C.P...

#642 4th find of the day. I found the odd one out, and true to the hint, this one was dry! Nice camo, it blends well in the environment. TFTC!
Found while visiting Townsville for the "Australia WWFM X - The Townsville Cache Jedi Event Cache". TFTC TNLN SL
After spending the morning at work, doing some training, I decided to head towards The Strand for lunch and a look at the new caches - the weather was too beautiful to go back home for more studying. Well, as to be expected, there were too many muggles about. So after lunch and some ice cream for dessert I made my way to Queens Park, as I was still missing those two ICP caches as well.
Almost got caught out by some gardening muggles at this one here. Nice container, blends in very well
Out: nothing, In: Fav.point

Bit early for doctors appt so what better way to fill in time, go get a cache. This one didn't take too long as we have seen similar caches before. TFTC
Good find on a very hot day. Would maybe have been nice if the spring Was working. TFTC.
Nice touch, lots of thought put into the cache, was sitting on a rock thinking about the clues when I noticed one of what i was looking at wasn't quite right.
Obviously the posse has spent some time in the gardens?????? We arrived at the GZ and it was Mr Wazza&Kara that noticed something not quite right and she soon had the cache in hand. With the log signed we were off for another nearby hide. Thanks again ICP for a very clever hide.
A clever little hide. I love the effort that's gone in to making it blend in. A favourite point from me for this one. TFTC.
