#383.Nice little find on a familiar road not far from one of our Marae's.Cache and log in good condition.Another Foxton cache marked off.TFTC.
A small group of us from Team SEAC consisting of Keylev, Stik-A-Crane, Uncle Sam and ourselves had come down from Auckland to spend the long weekend caching in the Manawatu area. The plan was to get as many as possible. Along the way we had some great adventures, many laughs, met some interesting people and found a wide selection of caches. Signed SEAC to save space on the log. TFTC.This was day 4 of our trip and we headed South from our accommodation caching down SH 1 to Levin and back through the towns to Himatangi.A nice quick find here.
Day #4 of the Team SEAC extra long weekend little road trip for Labour Weekend. We overshot the parking a little here but it was a quick find when we got to the right spot. Thanks for the cache
Small group of caching buddies drove down from Auckland for the long weekend, and headed for Palmerston North area. Sorry for the generic posts, but we had so many caches to find.Had a great time, with so many laughs. Thanks to all the Cache owners who placed the caches. This was day 3 of our trip. All logs signed "SEAC" or "Team Seac"
It’s school holidays, so we are on a mission today to grab the chewy mint trail caches plus others. 30 - 50 caches was our target (we got 33). Junior was pretty cooked by the end.

Chasing high volume of caches found in a day with TrinityNZ and matagouri - this is located perfect for that. Team name "JMT" used in log.

Out and about on this fine Easter Sunday with JustLookingOO and matagouri today north of Foxton to work towards some challenges, including 100 finds in April. JL and I picked matagouri up in Foxton, grabbed some supplies, and headed off.
This was our third stop of the day and after a DNF and a broken cache, it was good to find this cache in one piece.
Thanks theSeagnoid for the cache

Today TrinityNZ, Just_looking00, and I gathered in Foxton early in the morning to launch an assault on the Chewy Mint trail, the KAS trail, and assorted others that we happened across. Our aim for the day was 30 (absolute minimum), preferably 50. Our total for the day was 53, so more than satisfactory. We signed all logs as JMT. Most of the caches were easily found, some were a little rusty, some had wet logs. Where we could, we replaced any dodgy logs.
We pulled off the main road to make this find, which we managed after a brief hunt. All good in the container, tftc!

Work finished early and the weather was perfect so we decided to go out towards popmacs powertrail to get some of the caches we ran out of time for last time.
I wrote in the log and concealed the cache carefully back as found, TFTCSL. Thanks the Seagnoid for this Traditional cache Thanks for helping us get one step closer of our goal of 500 finds!

A quick stop on the way to the Hawkes Bay. Liked the way this cache was fully weather-proofed. TFTC
TaybeeNZ, The Seagnoid and I are on our way to Rattls BBQ with a few odd stopps along the way. We stopped here for a maintenance check to replace this one due to it going AWOL. Left my calling card on the new log. Cheers. Must come back a nd spend some time doing the whole rail line.
Im back in Wellington for a few days, but heading home today. But first is Rattll's Christmas BBQ. Thanks to TaybeeNZ and his trusty steed I was able to attend the BBQ and catch a couple of caches along the way. Heading south tomorrow with Zara, toby and The seagnoid.

Straightforward find. Log nearly impossible to write on. Thanks for placing the cache
We stayed at a Driveway Campsite last night just north of here in our newlu converted people mover car (a new thing for us and a great lace is turned out to be by the way) and on driving to the farm that the dog trials were being held (the reason we are in the area this weekend) we came right past this cache so rude not to stop right? An easy find once I backtracked to the cache location from where GAR parked. Thanks for the information and the cache the Seagnoid!
Heading down to Foxton Beach for a couple of days and had spare time to cache. Just finished the KAS and mint series. Still had time for a couple more before the suns gone. This was the last and I was happy to be rewarded with a trackable. Thanks Seagnoid.
I drive past here often but never stopped to do it, today was the day. Was a quick find. Parked further up road. Tftc
Drove up to the Foxton area today with the aim of finding 20+ caches. This was one of 25 I notched up. Turned into this side road and parked with no problem. Reasonably quick find. #2723. TFTC.
Thanks. In laws live down the road so took the kids for a careful walk there. They loved the stamp is a neat idea.
Another day caching so stopped off for this one on the way to Foxton. A quick p&g. Tftc
Waitangi Day 2019 family caching adventure! TFTC. I talked to a chorus serviceman and explained to him all about Geocaching. I found out that he had ten children of his own so he thought he might take his own kids on a geocaching adventure once he got home.
Needed a cache outside of whanganui to help with our caching streak. Found this on a drive south. Easy find tftc.
Heading to the MEGA event in Upper Hut, Wellington, down a not so common trail for us to thin out a few caches along the way and the hopefully on the way back Monday.
After spending the night in Hunterville in the back of the van....very rewarding sleep was had.
.... started early to enable arrival at the MEGA Wellington near to start time as possable.
Quick stop here for a teeth brush, stretch and a freshen up before the assault on Wellington.
TFTC.

Attending the Wellington MEGA, great to visit here from the sunny Bay of Plenty, I have created a template in Cachly for the weekend, so Please excuse generic logs in advance. A great place to visit and another smiley to boot-yay!! Many Thanks to all you cache owners for the placements. Day one for me and collecting a few on the way down. Cheers
On my way from Taupo to Wellington today.
Time to make a park and grab before refueling in Foxton. 15cents/litre cheaper than I can buy it in Nelson [:0]
Not much in the way of parking either and then a milk tanker appeared on the horizon. It was a really quick sign and replaced. Missed seeing the TB

I am on a solo geocaching trip. I flew in from Christchurch yesterday. My focus is on the two virtual geocaches in close proximity, some challenges, other finds in between and some near my accommodation in Foxton.
My first find today. I have done some of your Malborough rail ones more recently.
Sadly there is no large event in New Zealand in 2019 but there are a few Mega events planned in Australia. I plan on going to the OzGeomuster in July. To find out more visit this site: https://www.ozgeomuster.com.au

I have set myself a goal to get the requirements for the mystery cache The well-rounded cacher challenge (Manawatu) This requires me to get 25 badges 5 of which need to be gemstone badges. So each time I go out caching weather it is by myself or with fellow cacher I will try to get a least one cache that will get me closer to my goal
Heading out to Hematangi today doing a loop around Wylie Road and state highway 1 down to Foxton with the plan the collect as many of the caches as I can along to help with getting the hidden creature souvenirs. I have my Dragon Souvenir. Now I working towards the World Turtle Souvenir

We had agreed that the cache before this one would be our final for the day, but we DNF'd, so this is our "just one more". As we pulled over to start our search we could see... a person? ahead in the ditch, apparently bobbing up and down, up and down. We watched for a bit, trying to figure out what we were seeing. For a while we thought we were having a "should have gone to Specsavers" moment; perhaps the wind was just blowing a plastic bag. In the end, once we got out of the car and walked closer, we discovered a man picking puha while his children waited in the car. He was happy to leave us to our 'scavenger hunt', so we all just got on with our various business by the roadside.
Thank you for the cache--big enough for a Geokid to enjoy!

Maintenance run. I thought I replaced this cache, but there is nothing in my notes. Either way, it's all good now.
#4439- We stopped a bit further back at the Jandal fence, but were a bit concerned that we may be touching something we shouldn't. We continued on to find this one- was the other one there after all? This was a quick find. Thanks
A nice quick find, Cheers.
Driving from Petone ot Whanganui today. There was some stange stuff early on in the day. I beleive it is called "rain". Its been a while since we have seen much of this.!
Thanks to all of the COs for placing and maintaining their caches. Cheers.

What a day! My son and I decided to go hard out today to see how many caches we could do in an afternoon. We were lucky enough to be blessed with glorious weather, when the forecast had been for showers, so that definitely helped us to get a great result
I apologise in advance for the generic log, but there was no way I would have been able to write up each Cache as I went along, so am logging them now in bulk (sort of)
So we had decided in advance to hit the Chewy Mint Trail, plus a few other Caches along the way, and on the way home, to see how we got along.
The result all up was 40, of which this was the second.
All is fine with the Cache. Signed the log as "T & T" for myself and my son (Thatweirdguy04) and took the Trackable I found inside to move it along to it's next home, before moving onto the next find.
Thanks for the Cache

After spending the morning at TwigNZ’s work we headed north to do the “Chewy Mint Trail”. With a total of 40 for the day, we were pleased with ourselves, and the fact that we obliterated our past record number of caches in one day made it all the better. We started at “Where have all the golf balls gone?” and ended the day with “Manawatu Rail: Buckley’s Wharf”.
All in order with the log, parked near GZ and found quickly, TwigNZ picked up the trackable and we were on our way.

I got very cheap flights to Wellington and back for the weekend, what a perfect excuse to come caching and find some that have been sitting on my to do list, and some more! I was glad this was off SH1 as it was quite busy!! TFTC!!
Found laying on the ground, fully exposed and full of water. Tried to dry, needs some CO attention. Photo log.
24/02/17 - Found whilst turning around for "Where have all the golf balls gone" just down the road, you're right, parking IS terrible but I saw some tracks in the verge where a fellow cacher had been tftc
A quick find while on our way to Feilding attempting to escape the wet, gloomy weather in Kapiti. By the time we reached this area, the weather was already much better, so I asked Team Geocacher Mr. T. to turn off the state highway so I could grab this one. Thanks for the history and for the cache.
Quick find on a road trip with mini-cachers Jacob and Ben, aged 8 and 9. Thanks for the cache! I really like this series, lots of interesting local history.
Oops, the telecom post is legit!! Cache found while making our way back home to Taranaki. TFTC
Headed back down SH1 towards Foxton and I pulled off to quickly grab this one. A quick find. TFTC
Sanson Day2.
After finishing the KAZ trail, we continued onto the mint tin series. This was liking a tiki tour of the area around the farming country side.
We continued onto Foxton where we had lunch by the seaside.
Thanks for placing this cache the Seagnoid

I traveled down to Palmerston North for a 3 day geocaching weekend to give my numbers a bit of a boost, as I head towards my next caching milestone. I decided to fly there and back and pick up a cheap rental car for the weekend. The weather was perfect and I had a great weekend down there.
Today I drove down to Foxton Beach for a more leisurely day of caching, with a focus more on numbers tomorrow. A quick find on my way down SH1. TFTC!
