Just looked for this one again today. No-one has been able to find it in six months. It's a really cool spot for a geocache. "Fish Tank" has to be replaced or it has to be archived so someone else can make a new one near by.
No response from owner. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the current guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.
Hi,
Great area to have a cache but like a few others I have been unable to find the cache. Could you check that it is still there or where the coordinates lead. If not this cache should be archived.
Thanks

Looked everywhere for the cache but couldn't find anywhere??? No-one else has been able to find this one in months. Maybe the owner needs to check if it's still there.
Looked everywhere high and low. Thought it might be behind rocks on the bank right beside the path but nothing . This one is really puzzling me. Looks like I'll have to come back another day. LOL
According to my google-earth-created path this would have taken me roughly 5-8 minutes to get from where I parked. Google earth did not take into account steepness [xx(] 20 minutes later, I finally smiled TFTC!
Didn't find Dory though

I stood at the ladder trying to figure what was eye level. Midget, average or giant eye level? I looked both below and above before spotting it in the middle. Thanks
Came down from the top a bit of a backwards and forwards mountain bike track. It's great Dunedin has all these mountain bike tracks. But you have to pick the right one on the way down.
What a spaghetti soup of tracks on this hill! Blimey, how many mountain bike tracks can you possibly need?!?
The cache was easily located, and it was very, very tempting to climb the structure
Thank you for the cache.

I did this the hard way. 8 days ago I was with a walking group that stopped at the historic fish hatchery up the valley from the high school. I immediatly though "Geocache" only to find that I hadn't loaded it. Today I got to the historic fish farm and turned my GPS on to find that the fish geocache was 400m away. I looked in the direction the arrow was pointing and had to tilt my head way back to get an idea of where it was. I thought one or two words and set on out. I'm amazed at the number of bike tracks and the steepness of some of them. Anyway I got there in the end and had a few minutes scratching before coming up with the goodies. I was much quicker getting down than up. Hopefully I'll research the caches a bit more in future and pick up on words such as "tank"before heading out. TFTC.
Found during a caching day out with Jaycie, CJ-Curry and Hevic. Walked straight past it at first but found soon after. Tftc!
Hevic, Silvachief, Jaycie, and I had a day out trekking along Signal Hill when we came across this one. Easily the hardest part was dodging a four-wheeled muggle equipped with a four-legged muggle, but we managed to stay out of sight even as he looked back towards us. The cache was found with relative ease, though, once I spotted something that just wasn't quite right. Cheers!
I missed this cache last time I was caching in the area. I'd been meaning to come back to get this one for a while and it turned out to be an easy find. Walked up along Signal Hill Road and from there it was fairly obvious where to turn off. TFTC!
Have been saving this cache for a day when a short walk was needed, so here we were, happy to see a nicely presented cache. Sorry to see you've not gone caching for a while nick- hope you'll get back to it soon. Don't worry, this tank had certainly been previously considered as a hide spot... one option was a final for a Sound of Music night cache (hear the musical gurgling?) but found a better place because of the bikers and anticipation that the trees could be logged sometime. They were- it's quite different now the trees have gone!

I remember sneaking up the ladder as a child, before they blocked it. Nice hiding spot!
Found with jrb5050 and Kentaro on a great dunedin day. Thanks for a great wee walk TFTC
Found with PC Sniff and the Japanese connection - actually found by our Japanese exchange student. Amazingly hot sunny still Dunedin day for climbing back up to Signal Hill, and Kentaro managed it without taking off his woollen shirt or singlet! Halfway up, with him visibly wilting, we did manage to convince him that the cardigan could be removed, but that was as far as he was going. Thanks for this cache which took us on a part of the hill we've never seen before.
Went on a walk with my friend and we went to see if we could climb the watertank. found that we couldn't but then my friend was like "whats that? is that someone's lunch?" and then turning around i got very excited and exclaimed it was a geocache! and which i had to explain to my muggle what it was all about. Thankyou for the unexpected discovery!
Out for a run around the trails, and finally ventured up here to grab this cache! No problems here, a quick find and all in good shape. Thanks!
A quick easy find after we wandered down the very meandering zig zag bike track from the monument, with nice views of the city. We returned up the straighter but steeper road, which Mrs W.E.K.A.. thought was a good workout. Should have done it the other way round. TFTC
Got to gz and discovered I had forgotten/lost my pen not too easy to pop back to the car. There wasn't one with the cache as description suggests. Photo attached as proof of visit. Will return to sign another time. Tftc
I needed a bike themed cache for the 7th day of 31 Days of Caching and this one was the closest unfound cache I had for that!
A very enjoyable walk down the hill with Tom the Cache Hound with some amazing views of the city.
TFTC!

A bit of wild weather up here today, strong cool and moist NE blowing. Just what I needed, a bracing walk! Got rid of a few cobwebs! Thanks for the cache.
What a good name for a cool cache.

A pleasant walk down the hill in the weak but warm winter sun. Picked some cones up along the way so doubly happy. Photo attached as no pen in cache. We'd remembered to bring trades but forgot our own pen. TFTC.
Wandered on over fron "Earth" and did the job here too. Good to get out and about. Thanks.
I suspect a far too easy a find, once I had figured out which MTB track to follow. I guess it didn't help that I came up from the bottom, having found Earth on the way. Replaced and hidden a bit more carefully.
Unfortunately the pen has gone walkabout, and the pen I normally use was in the other caching bag, so I had to do my best with a stone. I hope to be in the area again soon (still some unfinished business around there), so will sign the log a bit better.

Our final cache for the day. A nice wander down to GZ and a slower walk back to the car. TFTC
Last for the day today. After the descent down the work began, a find! and then the trek back up.
Rested and enjoyed the views back at the vehicle.
Thanks

Saw a van load of moutain bikers getting ready to head down the hill but no one interested in going down the tracks that lead to the water tank so we had the place to ourselves. Found with Aoraki Sheep.
Initially thought it might have been magnetic but then turned around and spotted something that looked a little suspicious. Found with debsnz
Surprised that I am only the third person to get this given it has been up for three weeks. Walked down and up the access road which was pretty easy going. Lots of music drifting up from the stadium in the distance. I guess it was preparations for the Paul Simon concert tonight. TFTC.
A quick jog down, then a quick find and then what felt like the much longer trek back up.
Good views of the North End of Dunners from above the tank.
Left a rubber skink. TN

Going for the FTF, looked in the log and no names. My very first FTF. Got the rest of the caches up here as well. TFTC #415
